Robert laughed at her face about the idea of her being a detective and solving this case. Obviously he didn't think much of her either.
That scenes plays out like a scene from I Love Lucy from the 50's where Ricky didn't want her doing anything.
And Lucy runs to her room LOL

Anna sure dressed Robin like a porcelin doll... LOL

and the OP was right, imo, guzaHolly was the best thing that ever happened(GH-wise) for you.
Nah hat buying doing nothing but having lunch or tea with Celia, that being the highlight of her day, wimpy whiney poor me running home to Nanny, sitting a month on a train without a hair out of place on porcelain lady, that was best thing that happened (GH-wise) for me. And it's ALL MONTY!
Monty's Holly was fierce- who turned to the good side, stood up to her family and turned herself in and had her day in court- never allowing anyone to take the blame for the thngs she did. Yes, she bought a few hats and after lost her job at the hospital- she assumed the duties of the Commissioner's wife(as Anna did later) and managed the spa- while still helping to solve crimes and get equality for women in the police dept.

Yes, in mid-1985 she felt betrayed and went to her Nanny(equilivent to her mom) for advice and to go away and think. Not really sure how being kidnapped is so bad...she had a couple of escape attempts and she manage did make a phone call- despite being chained up and she got out of that train without help. Then she signaled for help and Robert found her and they were reunited!

He was fine with her doing it actually, until he thought it became too dangerous.

Oh please.... Holly stood up for herself.
She did to me, am I the only one that doesn't take issue with a husband being concerned for his wife safety?

YEP, nothing wrong with a man so in love with his wife that he didn't want her involved in something that may get his beloved hurt :biglo :redface ve
