Too much whining from Holly. If it were Anna, she would tell Robert she was going to do it and didn't care if he gave her permission or not. Holly had to do it on the downlow so not to upset hubby.

Nah hat buying doing nothing but having lunch or tea with Celia, that being the highlight of her day, wimpy whiney poor me running home to Nanny, sitting a month on a train without a hair out of place on porcelain lady, that was best thing that happened (GH-wise) for me. And it's ALL MONTY!
Monty's Holly was fierce- who turned to the good side, stood up to her family and turned herself in and had her day in court- never allowing anyone to take the blame for the thngs she did. Yes, she bought a few hats and after lost her job at the hospital- she assumed the duties of the Commissioner's wife(as Anna did later) and managed the spa- while still helping to solve crimes and get equality for women in the police dept.

Yes, in mid-1985 she felt betrayed and went to her Nanny(equilivent to her mom) for advice and to go away and think. Not really sure how being kidnapped is so bad...she had a couple of escape attempts and she manage did make a phone call- despite being chained up and she got out of that train without help. Then she signaled for help and Robert found her and they were reunited!

She was fierce and feisty..
She was wimpy and whiney

Robert laughed at her face about the idea of her being a detective and solving this case. Obviously he didn't think much of her either.
That scenes plays out like a scene from I Love Lucy from the 50's where Ricky didn't want her doing anything.
He was fine with her doing it actually, until he thought it became too dangerous.
Yet he was fine with Luke tagging along.

YEP, nothing wrong with a man so in love with his wife that he didn't want her involved in something that may get his beloved hurt :biglo :redface ve
That's the way I saw it, well, at least in the clip posted a page back.
it's a normal reaction what man would be comfortable with it :dunno
Especially one who's police commissioner and can assigned one of his police women to do it. Robert said in that clip, he didn't want to make Holly a target.

This proves nothing just that like always Holly like the spoiled child told what not to do pouts and says I'll never forgive you daddy then runs to her room :lmfao: :lmfao:
Oh please.... Holly stood up for herself.
She did to me, am I the only one that doesn't take issue with a husband being concerned for his wife safety?
Maybe if Holly had something else going on in her life, but all she did was go around and nag Robert about being involved in things, like she had no life of her own. You didn't see Robert nagging Holly to be all up in her life. The whole relationship just seemed unbalanced. What about Holly? Why was she never concerned about Robert being in danger?

It's apple and oranges..Anna is a trained Agent/ ex-double agent/ex-police chief, she's clearance to do that kind of work on her own. Holly is what? civilian/con artist? She was at the mercy of her hubby being gentle and loving and allowed her to play around on a case that he thought was harmless at first.
