From all the shows I've watched on Hallmark? I don't think I've ever seen anyone have a real, raunchy love scene or the almost porn you see on the other network. I like wholesome and romantic with out all the porn.
So why do you like classic GH? Wholesome is not a word I'd use to describe 80s soap. :lolz
Not the OP, but I know what they mean. No, 80s GH wasn't "wholesome" but there were good characters who you could root for. There were also bad characters that eventually got punished. And there were gray characters that you rolled your eyes at and the next day would have sympathy for. Family meant something. Friendships were real. And there was plenty of romance and love in the afternoon. It wasn't "wholesome" but it wasn't trashy either.
Yes, not OP but exactly.
DITTO :bravo:

I'm surprised at how passionately TG played Luke saying that he loved Laura. I wouldn't expected as passive, nonchalant admission at this point. He even had tears in his eyes. For a second he looked like the Luke I remembered from back in the day, when Laura was his life.

Speak for yourself. I've never cared about Jack and Kristina's offscreen romance, or any other acting pairing. Doesn't enhance the experience for me one iota.
Same here, never cared about J&Kwagner real life one bit. furthermore, I always thought FnF were cute but weren't my fav of GH pairs.
There's enough that did care though, and even if it's just curiosity I'll bet they'll be tuning in which really is the point ultimately.
Most FnFers have aged passed the point that advertisers care about.

Sounds like the show runner was a GH fan and just wanted to see KW and JW on the same show. This isn't some big marketing blitz and they aren't going to revolve the show around Jack and Kristina in some onscreen romance. Expectations should be kept realistic and in check IMO.

Nah, he treated Holly like she was a doormat he could control.
Then he sucked at it because he never could control her or what she did.

He wasn't the type anyway. He was good with her and for her.
Of course he was he wanted to tell her what she could and couldn't do. Holly didn't do that with Robert. I don't see how it's an equal relationship.

The series is inspired by the book much like the Little House On the Prairie books where lots of characters were created for the tv that weren't in the books. The pilot centered on the original Elizabeth who was the main character in the first few books and her romance with a canadian mountie. The series centers on her niece, also Elizabeth. From what I recall of the books everyone except Elizabeth was made for the tv show. They're not actually taking plots from the books.

So did you disagree with Holly when she a accused him of treating her like a child?

I don't think most F&Fers are expecting the show to revolve around Jack and Kristina's characters. They just want to see if a bit of the old magic still exists and will watch just for that.
I also find that many F&F fans were young kids (under 10) when they got hooked in the 80s, so they're not exactly senior citizens now either.

No horse in the race but did he only do that when it involved his police work? What other areas of Robert/Holly life did he say what she could and couldn't do?

Well, apparently some people wants to see the actors work together rather they're playing their favorite character or not, Gregori Martin of the Bay asked which actress they want to guest star on the Bay and there are MANY pick of Finola Hughes and Emma Samms? Ohhhhh, I wonder why.
