Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
I'm going back and watching episodes on the L&L playlist. I saw all this stuff live but I was only in middle school back then. TBH I thought the 90s writers made up this idea that Laura was sick of the danger and Luke wanted it, because I didn't remember that being the case. But turns out I was wrong. I'm in the middle of the Ice Princess story, before they go to the island, and Laura's complaining to Luke about how she's had enough danger and excitement to last a lifetime. And Luke didn't agree with her. He seems positively alive with all the intrigue and danger surrounding the IP and the intro to the Cassadines, while Laura looks exasperated and scared about him being in danger all the time. Even in these scenes he looks like he wants both Laura and the excitement, while Laura keeps longing for a Beecher's Corners married life.
But when Laura returned in 83 she longed for adventure and she and luke left portcharles for that very reason, it wasn't till she got tired of being on the run when they had Lucky did she want to establish roots back in Port charles but that was for Lucky..Seems luke forgot that.
Clearly somebody didn't watch the 83 story. Laura did not come back longing for adventure and they did not leave Port Charles to start a life of adventure. There last words were ""look out world here come the Spencers''' they didn't want life as the mayor and wife in PC.

That was NOT a part of her desires or their exit. So much so that when they returned a year later they were settled in TX living a pretty domestic life until Luke got caught up in the Mexico adventure...without Laura. Laura wasn't shown to be longing for adventure at all, just wanting Luke to come home as soon as he could so they could settle back into their comfortable, domestic life in the Southwest.

And I'm the OP, but that was hilarious.
Look anon, it was nothing personal. I just think this reporting business is sandbox bullshit. Sorry if I offended you. ihavenofilter@annoyinganon.com
I agree usually as I've literally never reported anybody. But this particular rant is homophobic and nasty, with some sad anon who can't discuss fictional stories without saying awful things about actors. It deserves to be reported. Well that is different. I think you have a valid point there. Honestly, with the Jizam crap in this thread usually it is reporting over magurl nonsense. I have heard that the oldtimer's thread gets nasty.

they had to altered history yet again for that pathetic Luke and Sonny scenes. Seriously, turning Luke dark has turn him pathetic. He was a total wimp with Sonny. Kissing his ass was all he was doing in those scenes. Never thought I'd think that way about Luke.
Does anybody like this Luke? do TPTB even hear all the out cry over the constant rewrites of Luke or L&L.?..They just keep turning a blind eye to the fans and keep trotting out this nasty version of Luke that IMO nobody seems to give a crap about and want him to retire or at least go on one of his extended vacations...
Tony is happy. And Maurice is probably happy with the Sonny worship. So, once again, a regime caters to two actors, and leaves the fans in the dust. Sonny didn't get to say anything and was just as bad forgiving Luke for everything. Luke gets away with it all.

Agree to disagree. There is not agree to disagree. You're wrong. You can just go and look at the 83 story now, or find a recap from the Luke and Laura site.
What you're saying about Laura and L&L's reasons for leaving Port Charles are absolutely incorrect. It's not even a matter of opinion.

Sorry this bothers you so....Imo Laura didn't have any problem with adventure till she had her kids and wanted a staple life for them.

That post about Tony really crosses a line, I agree. I'm going to report it. Does anybody know the reporting email? I'll ask on the mainboard too if I can't get it here. TIA. I am the OP and is does not cross the line! I have seen some vile, hateful crap written on this board day after day about fans and actors. It is a major over action and unfair to call me a homophobe and insulting simply for saying Mr. Geary might prefer his legacy to be a dark and conflicted Luke rather than a LnL love story because of his sexual preference. When did it become a crime to speculate on something like this. I was in no way disrespectful to Tony nor did I judge him. We need to stop censoring people and dismissing them with the homophobe lable just because we don't agree with their opinion.
