S&B had passion and sparks where Jax and
Brenda don't. They actually had conversations and discussed things and
their own issues. They were making progress working through those issues
until the writers totally wrecked the storyline. All Jax wants to do is be
a playboy and pamper Brenda to death. He hasn't faced his own flaws. There
is nothing wrong with lush extravagance to a point, but when that is *all* a
couple does, it gets old quick. As far as a basis in reality goes Sonny and
Brenda were far more realistic (except for the mob) than Jax and Brenda will
ever be. I could identify and sympathize with what they went through, while
all J&B do is make me gag.

Sonny & Brenda's chemistry was far superior to that of Robert & Anna and/or Robert & Holly. Sonny and Brenda had tension filled heat while Robert with Anna/Holly was lukewarm at best.
Eh, Robert and Anna HAS INCREDIBLE CHEMISTRY iN all area and not just in romances which make their chemistry exceptional and just for the sake of the argument? I do believe that Sonny and Brenda done a similar scene that Robert/Anna done years early. Almost the very same scene.. Both couple shared Danger, passion and love.

the sonny + brenda stuff was amazing. guza wrote this stuff?
Everyone used that scene from "Term of Endearment" The sexy kiss on the beach.

Gloria Monty admitted that she used to steal stuff from old classic movies to used on her characters. I had no idea the later producers/writers done the same.
The Luke and Laura scene with the curtains was almost exactly the same as that movie It Happened One Night.

Jax treated Brenda far better than Sonny treated her. That said, S&B are still the supercouple.

Luke shoots Frank Smith. Sean Donely is there too.

VM openly said that Sonny's Brenda soul mate and that Brenda is Sonny's. Which would explained why some are so against VM now. I'd admit her antics on twitter is what turn me off her.

Whoops, the actual shooting happens here. Frank shoots Sean, then Luke comes up and shoots Frank.

No, that was Claire Labine.
Really? So why did Geary trip on Labine? She did give his behind some adventure. This clip is proof of that..Geary just probably wanted a lot of adventure story and Labine wasn't gonna catered to his selfish, self centerred behind.
Yes, Luke was heavily involved with the Frank Smith story the first year or so under Labine.

Yea, poor Sean always looked like a weakling in story with Luke and then wheeled off the show like he's old & decrepit and it didn't help matter much when they brought him back, yet again looking like he had 1 foot in the grave yard.

I will always hold on to the Sean Donely i saw on NS2.

The way that kiss was directed it was slow-moed. I didn't see it as passionate as the S&B kiss, but that could also be because of the context of the scene. The S&B was was so angst ridden, almost desperate in its longing and passion. The R&H scene was more fluffy.
It was fluffy because it was meant to be that way. The whole scene started with fun with Robert trying to get Holly's attention.
Pretty much. But both kisses from both couples were extremely passionate regardless.

Yes. She must've had that movie on the brain because F&F's hitchhiking scene from Summer of 86 was also lifted from It Happened One Night. I think it's kind of cool actually that they did that.
