So sorry. but I think RC mess up Duke and DnA when they put him anywhere near Sonny and his gummy bear mob. When Duke started betraying Anna for SONNY? That was the end for me.
I know. You don't even need to be a fan of Duke to write him correctly - really all the characters correctly. Not every character has to be sacrificed for Sonny. I feel like we're back in the Guza years. Or that a 2nd graders is writing this show. It's so juvenile. Can't we find someone that can write a somewhat decent show and doesn't insult the viewers' intelligence on a daily basis?
I agree but I think that they really gave up trying to write for him. I think they are stuck between a rock and a hard place here. If they didn't decide to keep IB after the Faison story and have them find the real Duke, fans would have been in an uproar then(maybe not as much now), but still. I don't think they banked on IB and FH not having any chemistry together anymore, and really minimized their screen time together the last 2 years. They basically gave up trying to fit Duke/IB anywhere and decided for shock-value, lets kill him and (don't know if its true, but a lot of spoilers/info indicate) have Anna be the one to do it. I actually think, based on RCs interview a couple of months ago (where he said he wanted to shake Duke/Anna up a long time ago) that it was then they had already decided that Duke was going to be written out. Maybe they were seeing if FH was going to leave as well when her contract was up this month. It appears she's not, so Duke is now a casualty I still say they should've just left Duke Lavery dead and us with the memory of a half way decent man who loved Anna beyond reasons instead of bringing him back and turning him into a disgusting, wimpy Sonny's butt licker who gave us everything for SONNY.

According to RC we should just be grateful he brought the vets back, never mind that they are unrecogonizable and written OOC.. There were a few written OOC but Duke was totally unrecognizable, he had a total lobotomy. They gutted his core.
I've said the whole foundation of Duke/Anna was the fact that he gave up the mob for her & love. Anna would've never fallen for him if she knew that he was affiliated with the mob and Duke totally turn against the mob and ratted them out. That was the core of Duke/Anna.,..
Duke betraying Anna and reporting to Sonny anything Anna said or shared with him was completely ooc. I knew then? This was gonna be a disaster.

Sorry but besides that the two had no chemistry so no matter what they tried it still would have failed. Love Ian he's a very nice man and very friendly in person but I know I'm repeating myself but on screen he comes off very stiff and unnatural. The only time he loosens up and is remotely interesting is when he's playing Villain. Maybe it's the years of playing Vampire, Doc Madden and the guy on days that's affecting his acting but I noticed it too his last few appearances on the B&B. He's got to relax and loosen up a bit. Duke should have been left dead, looking back he really no hero in his days but still people believed him as one. That fallacy should have been left dead with him. For me Duke died in Anna's arms in 1990 and this is how I will always remember him, maybe it would be best for Ron to pull a Dallas it the past 2 years has been just a dream.

You don't have to tell me that. I, too have eyes and noticed the lackof anything remotely romantic or sexy coming off them. They lacked spark and if you don't have that? You're doom. Anna and Duke morphed into Finola/Ian which is something I didn't like in the slightest.

Eh, If ES was really jealous as FH claims I doubt she would say nice things about her and taking pictures with her at the time looking very friendly with her.
If what was in Finola's book true? Then she had a right to be jealous. JMO
Still just her word. True. I remember Jack was asked about the mooning stuff and he said he didn't do that. (shrugs) soooooooooooooo

True. I remember Jack was asked about the mooning stuff and he said he didn't do that. (shrugs) soooooooooooooo All these soap mags are so bad at fact checking. For all we know, they just gathered up stuff Finola has "said" or been printed over the years and turned it into an article rather than sitting down with a reporter who would be ticking off 30 names for her to comment on during an interview. Actually the more I think about it, that would be a pretty lengthy sit-down.

It is really sad when the kids on #GH have more airtime and story than any glory era vets.

It is really sad when the kids on #GH have more airtime and story than any glory era vets. .It's insane how much RC loves the kiddies and believes this is cute or the fans want this, i've seen nothing but hate for it especially since it's been going on for over a year now with just the love triangle and now they look to be involved with the Jake/jason story
