Some fans get so ott and over dramatic about stuff. I remember how lots of DnA fans stopped watching when Duke died because they just knew they were going to put Anna with Robert again and how many years did it take for that to finally happened? a few years. They missed out on lots of great Anna stuff because they'd jumped to the wrong conclusions or being over dramatic. So what? I know fans here on this board that quit watching when Robert Scorpio left the show. The show was actually pretty good during the early Wendy Riche years. But who cares? People watch when they want to watch. I personally won't watch today's GH but I know there are some here that watch just because Anna is still on. Who cares? What difference does it make?

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
Maybe they just want to shut up some of the fans, like the ones who yelled Sexual Harassment and he should be brought up on Felony Assault Charges at Ron and Frank just because Sloane dropped his towel in his own hotel room when Anna was there. Those were not Anna fans yelling that LOL Ron posted this tweet that day. Ron Carlivati @carlivatiron · Mar 17 "No good deed goes unpunished." -- Clare Boothe Luce
You'll find a few loons in any fan base, no need to punish them all..
Yea but that show they put on when Sloane dropped was so OTT and probably the strap that broke the camel back. It was probably the final straw and RC threw his hands up and said that's it. I'm done with the ungrateful, ott fanbase. Maybe. LOL! But if that's who Ron acts, then soon there will be no more characters left on the show. LOL!

But nobody knows what is going to happen in a few weeks so Ill hold off until then. If it is true, it will create a lot of buzz. And this regimes view is that all buzz is good, so it will be a win/win for them

It's a genre that lends itself to the overdramatic. And passionate fans is what makes the wheels go round and round... There's passionate and then there's obsessive.
Thankfully back in the 80's/ early 90's there was no social media, so it was all under the surface. Now its all out there for everyone to see and its very scary to see the obsessions. I am grateful for boards like this because some of the time you can have good debate and discussions about past stories and BTS stuff from back then and it ends there. But some of the stuff on Twitter, is really eye-opening

From what I've seen lots of "obsessed" fans have lives outside these shows, professionals with jobs, families, and other interests. Twitter isn't the whole picture, not for the fans and certainly not for the actors.

Face it: under this regime we will get a watered down Anna and a Tony Geary-loving Luke. All other vets are used sparingly because it's obvious this regime has very little interest in them. Exactly

With both Robert/Anna gone it was like an end of the era and a whole new transition was staring, you could almost understand lots of fans leaving then, pretty much like when both L&L had left in at the end of 83. When Ian left and Duke died? Those fans left because Duke was gone and they didn't bothered to stay around and see what Anna done on her own.
