And as an AnnaFF, I thought it was disgusting for multiple reasons. Luke being number 1. Less than a year before he admitted frequenting brothels, proudly. He was a drunk who up until then had very little remorse for killing his own grandchild. He was a thief and a swindler and was proud of it. IMO, the RealAnna would have never given that POS the time of day
I'm an Anna Fan too and I liked them together. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Thank you. There's something wrong with people who can't accept such a simple principle. Different people like different things. NewsFlash.... Its a message board. People can comment on posts.
And yes different strokes. Anywhere in that post that said the original opinion was invalid.....NOPE

They totally should have brought back Tonja to play Olivia. Instead, we get a watered down Julian and this unforgettable Olivia played by LLC. (I do like LLC on twitter though and love that she's a GH fan). She just doesn't play a memorable character and can't for the life of me figure out why she's still on this show!
I don't see what Olivia Jeromone has to do with Olivia Falconeri. What a weird complaint. If anything Olivia isn't needed because of new Jerome Ava (who I think is honestly a more effective character). I don't have a problem with Olivia because soaps have always been filled with Olivias. Every character isn't, and shouldn't be, larger than life. Soaps need stable, "nice" townspeople like Olivia F, Brian, Claudia, Amy, Rose Kelly, etc. Did you ever say oh why did we lose Laura, but have to keep Rose?
Well we have way too many townsfolk. That's why. Use the money to get more important characters. But whatever. Frank and Ron are doing to do what they want to. WTF? This show doesn't have ENOUGH townsfolky type of people. It's way less than it was back in the day, even though the cast is just as big. Most people on today's GH are a criminal, a spy, a villain, have huge, dysfunctional personalities, shady pasts, dark dealings, etc. I'd kill for a few more "regular" folks. I love those type of characters and they provide a nice balance. "

NewsFlash.... Its a message board. People can comment on posts. And yes different strokes. Anywhere in that post that said the original opinion was invalid.....NOPE I agree with the OP. Like what you like. People around here tend to get waaaay territorial of not only couples and characters, but the way other people view couples and characters. Things like:
You must be a R&A OR R&H fan. No duel fanbases. You can't like Holly AND Anna. You have to choose. True AnnaFF can't like her with Luke. You can't like Luke at all. Heyday fans must hate modern GH. No couple past 1992 is worth shipping. Robert must be your all time favorite male character. Shipping a supercouple is mandatory.
This is just a cross section of "rules" in this thread. There are so many more. People get backlashed and attacked for veering off course here. Just like the mainboard. No different than the tired Jizam wars.

No one says you have to agree with MY opinion. But I think we did see a different side to Anna and Duke gave Anna something no man had given her- acceptance for who she was. She didn't need to feel guilty about her past with Duke. She told him about what she did and he still loved her and accepted her. In the start of 1985, Anna was all weepy and weak. imo, that's not vulnerable it's pathetic. with Duke, Anna was able to open her heart without fear of rejection or residual guilt.
Duke accepted Anna for who she was? Are you kidding? All his actions back then and now are total demonstrations of a complete lack of respect of who she was and what she was trying to become. Anna was trying to change her life, from being a traitor and a fence to a law-abiding citizen, a police chief and a good mother who kept her child safe. He was the roadblock to all of that. Instead of elevating her and trying to make both of them better, he not only did he cheated on her, she loses her job because of him, and he put her child was in danger and they were all going to go to the WPP because of him. Duke weakened her, and continues to do that. Instead of making good decisions then and now, he choses his own motivations and obsessions over her.
I diagree with you. Duke left the mob for Anna and when he rejoined it- it was to save Anna. It was a sacrifice because he didn't want to do it, but he did it to save Anna. Anna was trying to change her life, but so was Duke. Anna needed someone who accepted her flaws, bcause Duke also had flaws. Neither were perfect and they knew that. Together, they were trying to be better people. Anna lost her job because of her own choices. and she often put Robin in danger because of her choices and IF she went into WPP, that also would have been her choice. Someone else doesn't make you weak or make choices for you. If Anna was as weak as you say- it was because of herself and no one did that to her. Thanks you. Duke kept Anna from using her head and being the smart ex-agent/police chief she was trained to be. That's why Robert was sometimes hard on her because he thought of Anna as his equal and expected her to think as he would on any given case... Robert didn't let emotions stopped him from doing his job or clouding his better judgements and he expected the same from his equal Anna..I always loved Anna standing strong and not doubting herself and that's why Robert will always be my preference for Anna because he build her up.....All Duke done was humiliate her and break her spirit, he'd get in her face ranting and raving about her ex-husband and then it was him who stuck his penis in another female and a crazy one at that and she cause Anna nothing but turmoil and that was all on Duke. Anna chosen that fool over her daughter was stupid too

Not even sure what you all are debating here. Anna made bad choices in the name of love. So did Laura. Monica. Lucy. Elizabeth. Felicia. Lila. And nearly every single other woman.

For the record: I love both Anna and Holly I love Robert (with both women because they are so different) I love Luke with both Laura and Tracy (because they are so different) I absolutely love Luke and Robert together. There, IMO, has never been a bromance like theirs I LOATHE Duke
