Quoting limited to 4 levels deep I think
You probably didn't find R&H boring because they were always in the middle of something. It kind of hard to get boring when you're constantly in the thick of the action and that's Robert to a T and whoever he's romantically with. I mentioned here or somewhere of having bought Robert's edits and he was used everywhere and so was his love interest. Holly/Robert was part of everything. Robert was a true leading man and you could tell from watching the old shows. I think that's the different with Duke/Anna, Duke was only used in his own life and that could be like you're in a boring bubble. however, Anna was used widely like Robert and they usually always ended up together.
I thought Robert was an absolute bore with everyone except Luke and Anna.
Really? I never found Robert to be boring at all. From his first mysterious appearance, he had me intrigued. And when I found out that he was 007? I was gone. lol same here

I feel like Robert calls her on her shit. Whether they're together, or not, it doesn't even matter. He spent more time building her up than tearing her down, and expects her to live up to standards even when she falls. I think they're good for each other in that way. But again, this isn't about ships for me. I think Jax is way better for Brenda than Sonny, but they bore me and I'd much rather watch the dysfunctional S&B merrygoround.
And she did the same for him. She called him out on his stubbornness, his unforgiving nature and his constant (and at times annoying) one track mind when it came to right and wrong. Their constant battles on that front were very often very dramatic scenes. I agree, if the match ups can continually sustain that push and pull that i am all in. Like with S&B, they were dysfunctional but had that spark that kept them interesting. Thats how I feel about L&L and R&A as well. I never found R&H boring, I don't know why that is (they were the exception for happily married couples IMO), but D&A, IMO didn't have that and definitely don't now.

That's the only way I can labeled them all.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Robert and Holly were part of everything during those years and the same can be said for Robert and Anna in the subsequent years, even though they were not romantically involved until the last year. With Duke, he has always been all about Anna, and the mob. His story, was one story: Anna and the mob and that conflict. One and done. Like it is now.

This is super unpopular, but here goes: I LOVED Katherine and Stefan. LOVED them so hard.
Don't run you can like whoever you want
i would have liked to see liz/matt given a chance I wish they gave them a shot too. I really liked their vibe together.

I only liked Anna during the Snowman storyline, that's it. She was a bad ass thinking ex-spy.

Super Friends, I like that Them all hanging at the Hall of Justice (WSB control room in Sean's penthouse) making plans to take down the Legion of Doom.

2nd time in 2 weeks. I still don't think he goes far enough. Their main problem is that only newbies nobody cares about are getting most of the screen time and people are tuning out because of it. Nina, Franco, Ava, Silas, Jake, Hayden. Add to this the Fluke story that basically has been a bust and this is what happens. The writing is terrible. He hits the nail on the head though. Stop the PP/stunt writing and start investing in character development The writing is the biggest problem.

The writing is the biggest problem. Yeah, but I feel no attachment to any newbies and loathe Luke and Sonny and his spawn and that's basically what's on screen the most

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep I think
I think they're saying that a truly strong, self sufficient woman can't be weakened by a man. She must have an inherent weakness within to be as affected by other people.
Yeah, I got it. No doubt. But it proves the point that Duke didn't make her stronger, which always makes me laugh.
I loved Anna and Duke (part of me still does). But no, Duke didn't make her stronger. I think the only man Anna has ever been with that made her stronger was Robert. The only one who can make Anna stronger is herself.
