No he's not. He said on his Twitter today that he was 11 years old when Philece Sampler came on as Donna Love on Another World. That was 1987. Which means he's damn near 40. He also started watching soaps years before that, so he's an 80s soap kid whose been watching for over 30 years. |

He was born in 1977. So he was a kid for most of the 80's. |

And? Somebody said he was a newbie watcher. Yet people in this thread have admitted to being kids when they watched 80s GH and nobody discounts their views. |

I highly doubt the big, surprise reunion involves Peter Reckell or Stephen Nichols. Their returns were announced damn near 2 months ago. |

The surprise reunion for the legendary presenters seems to be tied to the votes submitted. Since Luke and Laura always win these big, non-soap mag polls as best duo/couple/whatever I imagine Luke and Laura will be announced as the winners and then Tony and Genie will be brought out to present something. |

I've never seen Luke and Laura win at these type of events. The Emmy Award poll they were in was the " America's All Time Favorite Soap Couple " award in which Bo and Hope won. And they were in the TV Guide award for favorite couple in the late 90s too but again Bo and Hope won that one too. |

Ummm ABC News did a national poll with thousands of responds in 2013, in conjunction with the GH 50th and Luke and Laura won best soap couple of all time. They've won plenty of polls and fan choice awards. It's hilarious for you to even deny that. |

The polls, lists and countdowns that Luke and Laura typically score high in are NON-soap related polls. So they'll be like number 5, 2, 10, whatever on lists that don't include any other soaps because no other soap couple was big enough outside of soaps to make it. They're on a bunch of those "best ever" lists. But they have won a bunch of minor polls in SID, SOD and online over the years. |

DAYTIME EMMYS: Two Soap Legends Reunite, and A ‘Huge’ Announcement? By Errol Lewis on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 @ 10:10 PM SHAREFacebook Twitter Pop Pop While announcing additional presenters for “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop continued to tease that the awards will feature the most notable TV moments and characters voted on by fans, including Most Romantic Duo, Favorite Daytime Hottie, Favorite Talk Show Audience, Favorite OMG! Moment and Favorite Game Show Moment. But it’s the mention of a reunion of two soap star legends, coupled with an item by ABC Soaps In Depth on Twitter about a “HUGE, very exciting announcement” that has our full undivided attention. While speculation has it that we might be seeing a reunion of Genie Francis and Anthony Geary as the likely legendary pair, despite the two remaining on “General Hospital” as Luke and Laura Spencer over the years, it’s anyone’s guess who they might be referring to. As for the Soaps In Depth item, the magazine tweeted: “So ready for a sort of blind-item that takes a bit of explaining? Okay, here we go…So a CBS source tells us that at the Emmys, there’s going to be a HUGE, very exciting announcement made. But here’s the twist…The announcement that will be made at the Emmys is NOT about a CBS show, despite it being a CBS source sharing this tidbit. So… let the wild and rampant speculation as to what huge announcement will be made at the Emmys begin in 3… 2…” So what do you think the “HUGE” announcement is all about? Speculation has it that “Days of our Lives” might be joining the Pop lineup as briefly discussed in the Sony leaks from last November.
