Anyone know why Jack Wagner left GH in 1987?
He wanted to try knew things. I think later on Kristina found out she was pregnant when Jack came back the 2nd time. Then they were hot and heavy for a while after their son Peter was born. But then Jack abruptly left for Santa Barbara. I think Jack and Kristina had broke up then.

I don't know but then they started chemistry testing Felicia with Robert and surprisingly I liked them together. They really had chemistry duck.
You have a right to your opinion but Robert and Felicia? Eww. I think that would have been worse than Fluke. Eww.

F.R.: Why did you decide to leave GENERAL HOSPITAL?
J.W.: The change basically came about because NBC came and offered me a great deal, and the fact that I felt a little stagnant over at GENERAL HOSPITAL. The character had been in this plot and that plot, he'd gotten married, he had a child, he had a job, he was a hero, and there was no future there. I didn't see them doing anything on the dark side with this guy. He really was gonna be what he was, and I needed a change. I just felt that I'd gone as far as I could with him.

F.R.: When you've been imbedded in the minds of millions of people as Frisco Jones on GENERAL HOSPITAL, what goes through your mind when you ask them to accept you as a totally different character - Warren on SANTA BARBARA?
J.W.: Well the first thing that you have to do is really be true to yourself and this character. You have to make the commitment to the change first, because if you don't, nobody else will either. And I felt one of the main things was ... when I left GENERAL HOSPITAL, I had long hair and was clean shaven, and I felt that I really needed to change my look. So I cut my hair off and I grew a beard. And this guy is much more flamboyant and has more, I don't know if it's charisma, but he's definitely more articulate than Frisco was, and I think that's given this guy a little bit more of a maturity and a development that Frisco never had.

F.R.: Does an Emmy Award mean a lot to you?
J.W.:Absolutely! And it means a lot more to me now that I've started this new character, because if I would ever be nominated for my work on on something like this, I would be really proud of that. And I never really had that feeling when I was on GENERAL HOSPITAL, because never felt that I did anything that would deserve any kind of reward, but with this new character and the work that's been happening, I'm very proud of it ... and so something like that would be nice.

This interview was done when when JW left in 91, the poster wanted to know why he left in 87.

Just because a man has scenes with a female co-star doesn't mean it's a chemistry test. Anyway,Robert would have looked like a creeper lech since he always referred to F&F as "the kids."

IA. Not every man and woman that share scenes are being chemistry test. But in Robert and Felicia case the scenes they shared were chemistry testing. When all the comments below the clips are sensing the same vibes between the two, then it wasn't just my overactive imagination but a chem test indeed. furthermore I thought they had fab chemistry. IMO

Not sure why he left, but he did end up back in musical theater in 1987, and we in a couple national touring company's of rather big shows in '87 and '88.

There was no chemistry test. Robert and Felicia were never considered as a romantic option.

Let's just agree to disagree on this subject. lol My eyes and a few other saw it differently.

I don't think Robert and Felicia were being chem-tested either, but I don't disagree that there was chemistry. Sometimes- it just happens. It doesn't mean tptb were looking for it.
