Nah, talking specifically about Mac Scorpio and the writers lack of interest in the character. Not discounting supporting characters in general. But as far as supporting characters go, Mac was background dressing. The leads back then were Sonny/Brenda, Carly etc., the Spencers, and the Cassadines, the teen scene centered around Robin, etc. Tony Jones was supporting and he got meat ( I hated the Carly thing, but it was a story). So did Sean and Tiffany with Lucas's custody. Lucy and Scott with the surrogacy. Monica's breast cancer. Kevin and his evil twin, Ryan. Those stories people remember and were crafted for characters that writers were interested in. Back in the 80s, even crazy weepy Terri Brock got her own story. Fans also still talk about Lucy's shenanigans, Alan and Monica's affairs, Bobbie's black market baby. Nobody's stopping anybody from talking about the other amazing vets memorable stories. The reason the same 4 or 5 characters get brought up is because they and their stories were memorable to those talking about them. Somebody had asked what memorable stories were written for Mac after his initial introduction? It's a legit question. |

It's tiresome and she really needs a kick in the pants and then maybe i could root or care for her right now i just want to see her get a smackdown and dumped by Spin and nathan and told to pay her own expenses enough! |

Let me jump in here. Mac was no lead. But I did watch all of GH back in the 90's and I can definitely say he wasn't background dressing. I get that some people in here hate Mac Scorpio, I'm no big fan myself, but I don't think it does any good to lie and mislead about characters airtimes. |

Hey I liked Mac! Was a big fan of Kevin/Mac friendship, Felicia and Mac's on and off romance, Mac's PI stories, Mac vs Ryan, the Outback days, most of all I thought Mac just had great relationships that I cared about back then. It all went down hill when he and Felicia were pulled into Luke and Laura's bullshit! He fell off after that. I do think him and Felicia had some cute moments when they reunited a couple years ago, though not much sense. |

Lets not create drama where there isn't any. First of all: Hate was ever used. How can you hate a character like Mac? So please Second of all nobody is lying in here. He was not lead (stated), did not drive story (stated), there has never been a story that was solely about him only, except his intro and even then it was shared and more about Robert. There is nothing wrong with supporting characters. This all started with the discussion of GM trying to have Mac be a lead with the departures mostly of Frisco and Mac. However THAT failed, period the end. So unless someone can actually state a story that was Mac-centered, this argument is over. |

I have to agree with this, I honestly can't recall any story that was about mac and yes he was not able to fill the shoes left by JW and TR as the lead, thats just the truth maybe he had more on PC but i didn't watch that |

Actually this leg of the argument started when some fool said that no headwriter has been interested in writing for Mac. Considering how used Mac was during his first 10 years on the show, which was a lot, this is false. Nobody ever said he was a lead, drove story or replaced Robert. Not one person. That's called a straw man. The person who swore that no headwriter has been interested in writing for Mac, when a decade of material was written for Mac, and JJY has been on contract for the majority of 20 years, is an idiot who probably didn't even watch the show during most of Mac's years. End of story. |

No storylines really revolved around a lot of the GH characters, but doesn't mean that they weren't loved, or well written. And it might pain some F&F fans, but each of Felicia and Mac's go rounds in the 90s got a lot of airtime. |
