Mac was in a ton of story in 95, I remember.
He had the romance with Katherine (which had a lot of airtime) that got play thanks to the involvement with Damien Smith and Mac trying to protect her (front burner story), was very heavily involved in Robin/Stone story, played a major role in the Brenda/Sonny wire story and that was the year he had PI stuff too. It was also the silly, classic comedy yarn with Kevin and Mac playing women. Mac was everywhere that year. I actually think, now that we're discussing it, it was MAc's best year. So Mac got a reprieve in 1995, I don't feel so bad now. It is funny though that it took a village to remember!
What are you laughing at? I'm confused.
I'm not laughing at the character, but I find it amusing that it took a whole lot of people a whole lot of pages before someone even remembered any Mac specific stuff.

Heavily involved in stories that center other characters is still supporting. You have NOT proved your argument. His relationship with Katherine was an afterthought to the Damien Smith story because that centered around, guess WHO, Luke. He and Kevin were supporting characters. Even Katherine being accused of Damien's murder was about HER,not Mac
Not the OP, I'm the one who first corrected the person pages ago who said no headwriter was interested in writing for Mac after his introduction and material with Robert.
Obviously that person was dead wrong. I never made any arguments that you and others brought into it. I said I would NOT participate in your petty goalpost moving, where you set up an argument and claim I made it. I'm too old for that nonsense, and frankly you should be too.
My point has been proven. Mac was written for a lot, YEARS after his intro.

I think the fact that this is even an argument proves the point somebody was making a few pages ago. A lot of the people making negative claims about Mac Scorpio's place on the show during the 1990s really didn't watch most of the show. Even the ones now arguing that he might have had high counts but low airtime obviously did not watch.
Mac was on a ton, used a ton, and was one of the most seen characters on GH back then.
It's not so much that nobody watched, it's just that few (apart from Mac fans understandably) remember his stuff so how much investment could there have been really. I have watched this show, since 1980. Mac has always been supporting, never story-centric, not since he was introduced in 1991. He was always the good guy and was for a long time probably the only decent guy on the show. But as you all know decent, honorable characters were kicked to the curb in 1993 and always have been since then. Mac was never a lead and never had a story centered on him since his intro. That is fact. So I don't know what we are debating here.

I mentioned Mac stuff pages ago. Was ignored.
I can't tell you anything about a lot of GH characters. Not sure what memory fails have to do with character significance. Do you remember all the storylines for all the characters during all the years you watched GH faithfully?

So spare us your "above all this" mantra.
