So both Ian and Maurice are slime balls in real life, is that what you're saying? Cause all three characters come out as slime balls on screen, each and every one of them. |

IB believable as a mobster???? I'm sorry but that has got to be one of the funniest things I've read on these boards. He never was believable in the 80s or now. MB has really perfected the role and WDW is a typical thug mobster type. I really don't know what IB is. No mobster in any show or movie acts or looks like IB.

How is WDW a typical thug mobster type? This guy is too goofy and not intimidating. IB plays sinister better. |

Ian plays bad, sinister very well, he's a complete bore when he was playing sweet and couply with Anna. He was Anna's purse holder. DnA are dead..Ian was fantastic when he was playing Faison but then once they turned him into Duke? He was a boring dud..I bet Ian is LOVING IT and probably doesn't want to play the boring Duke with Anna. |

IA. Ian is awesome when he's playing a sinister person. He's a snoozefest when they tried Duke and Anna 2.0. The best thing to happened for him was breaking them up. Some couples really needs to be over and DnA is that couple. |

I don't think WDV is goofy, but he does play a low life well. IB can play creepy/sinister. He did the Faison stuff very well. He is just not at all an intimidating mobster AT ALL, IMO. That gun fight and him talking mob business and ordering hits, is comical to watch. |

I get the whole appeal of nostalgia and I understand the idea of wanting certain couple/stories to go on. But I noticed something when I decided to tune in for the 2-3 week period of GH's 50th anniversary after many, many years away. I was curious to see the returns of some of the old characters. But the stuff I found interesting 20-30 years ago bored me now. The dynamic of jealous Scotty, wavering Laura and self-obsessed Luke made me feel like nothing changed in 30 years. Mac/Felicia vs Felicia/Frisco still? Brenda still bouncing back and forth between Jax & Sonny? Kevin was a bright spot but he was hardly on and then he was gone. Anna & Duke sort of had me interested but they're way past the torrid, star-crossed lovers stage. And again with the frozen Cassadines? No, thanks. |

One of the frequent comments you see from ex-viewers of any soap who haven't watched in a long time or occasionally tuned in out of curiosity is that the same characters keep having the same stories and dialogue year after year, decade after decade. For everybody who stays for the sameness, there is someone who stopped watching for the same reason. |
