What am I missing in this discussion? From what I've read all over the boards for the last two years, the common consensus has ALWAYS been that Ethan could have been a member of the Spencer family simply with Luke mentoring him.
And nobody has forgotten Luke and Robert's friendship...except perhaps Guza.
Well I do think most people want Ethan to be a Scorpio but there is a small minority that like him as a Spencer and don't want that to change.
They can't be much of a Luke and Laura fan if they like that. I, personally think the ones that want him to remained a Spencer are either new fans that really doesn't know the history. Those fans also see the Sonny and Luke friendship as the best. The old timers know how deep L&L friendship ran.

On the flip side in re: Robert's friendships, there are numerous fans who didn't start watching GH until the mid 80s and they prefer Robert's best friend forever friendship with Sean over the one with Luke. Personally, I know more Rob/Sean FF over Luke/Rob FF.. I loved both friendships but much prefer his friendship/mentored/Older bro with Frisco followed by bff relationship Sean. The Robert/Anna/Sean friendship were fantastic too.

Imo, Luke and Robert beat out Robert and Sean and his "old buddy" crapola. Sean was an ass.

Don't get me wrong, I thought TR and JR had great chemistry, but you never knew if Sean was being fully honest with Robert. You always knew Robert and Luke had each other's backs - even when they were arguing about Holly.

There are WAY too many scenes, where he actually had Robert's back and was a true friend, it's odd that some people to still hold his beginning against him. He brought me to tears when he broke down after it was announced that R&A were presumed dead.

He was just being honest and wanted to protect him. There's no episodes with Sean making accusations about Robert's behind his back.

Do anyone know how Sharon Wyatt 2nd surgery went? People posted asking for prayers but then don't post anything to let's know how she's doing.

All the things Sean was up to when he was introduced in 1984 and all the way up through 1985 behind Robert's back wasn't being two-faced? All righty then. Whatever. Sean Donely is hardly worth fighting about.
