This is one of those instances where trying to avoid a hypemachine nearly cost me a fantastic experience.

Everyone was all helmet over boots for this game when it first came out, so I figured I could pass on it. Then I snagged a copy for Christmas and got semi-intrigued, at least for a few days. Then I forgot about it for quite a while.

In a fit of boredom (and wanting to outdo my brother, who had played the game more than I had) I dug it out and got my plasmid on.

When the story finally started mattering, I was so in.

I have to say, I have glanced over this thread like 10 times, reading the whole "Would you kindly take a look at this thread?" and not thinking twice about it. This time however, I read it and thought, "I'll read it later." as I was clicking on it.

Well carp. I guess it finally worked.

It was an amazing game though. After beating both of them, with the help of the amazing Litigation Hammer, I'm glad I actually made the time to play through them. It was well worth it.

And there wasn't a Butterfly boss... Stupid Cong. Haha.
