seems like it's HISTORY ON REPEAT - Senator Graydon Creed is poised to begin a set of anti-mutant legislation that will end with mutants in prison camps. - The Brotherhood is slowly piecing itself back together. - And the portal which Phoenix ripped open upon her death stands wide open, making our world a sancuary for those in a future ravaged by war--both the good...and the bad. homo sapien The Battle for Alcatraz is over, and the world is attempting to heal. The old Golden Gate bridge was being taken apart, Alcatraz rebuilt in perfect replica of the destroyed building. A new bridge is being built in it’s place, stronger and more majestic than the first. Bridges are being built in the government, as well. President McKinley is promoting a vision in which all people, human and mutant, are united. On the street, the people are mixed. People on both sides of the evolutionary line rally behind the President and his supporters. The X-Men are heroes, and peace is finally possible. But not everyone shares this view. To a majority of humans, the Battle for Alcatraz only proved one thing: that mutants cannot be trusted. That they ought to at the very least be registered, put in their own schools, and some even want to see them put into camps, where they’ll be away from human children and human cities. At the front of this movement is Graydon Creed, a senator from Texas who is out rightly anti-mutant in the extreme. When Senator Robert Kelly switched his views from anti-mutant to pro-mutant-rights, Creed took over as the head of the Friends of Humanity, a grassroots organization bent on separating mutants from humans for good, in every way possible. They use the Battle of Alcatraz as their rallying point and begin their advance on the mutant race. Graydon Creed is using his immense influence in Congress with hopes of passing a New Mutant Registration Bill, and there are rumors that he plans to run for President on an anti-mutant platform. x-men The X-Men have been keeping an eye on Creed for many years now, waiting with bated breath for his first fateful move. They are prepared to fight, this time in a battle that will not be fought on a battlefield and will, they hope, draw no blood. This battle will be fought with words, with spies and deceit. Peace is a fickle lover, as the X-Men well know, and it is only a matter of time before it leaves them again. brotherhood Unfortunately, not all mutants are promoting peace. The failure at Alcatraz meant the end of the Brotherhood, but no one is fooled into thinking it won’t be back. With Magneto cured and in hiding and Pyro in a guarded hospital room in New York, there’s no telling who will bring them back. Nor when, nor where the first attack will happen. All the world can agree on is that it will happen, and when it does, no one will be safe. THE FUTURE Lucas Bishop is a homicide cop living one hundred years in the future, in a world torn apart by war between humans and mutants. A world in which Graydon Creed became President and placed mutants in prison camps, and then eventually declared all-out war on the mutant race. The X-Men were held in a high-security prison for mutants, kept alive by top-secret government technology that stopped their bodies from aging, and forced by explosive devices implanted in their brains to work for the government--to fight against mutants. When Bishop, a mutant himself, discovers a portal in the drained Alkali Lake of the future, he devises a plan. He takes three of his fellow agents and arranges a fake attack with the X-Men as his weapons, on an underground group of mutant rebels. One by one he transports the X-Men through the portal, one hundred years into the past, to stop Creed before he can win the bid for the Presidency and begin an era of bloodshed and annihilation.seems like it's HISTORY ON REPEAT - Senator Graydon Creed is poised to begin a set of anti-mutant legislation that will end with mutants in prison camps.
