AQ Worlds url link : http://aq.com What is AQ Worlds? Adventure Quest Worlds is a massively multiplayer fantasy role playing game. Our team is dedicated to creating a family-friendly world full of excitement and adventure. Players can team up to go on quests, explore the world, and battle monsters! The game is updated weekly with new places, characters, items and quests. AQWorlds runs completely inside your web browser and requires only the Adobe Flash plug in to play. Creating a new account is free and easy. You can log in from any web browser in the world! Battle monsters online with your friends and family to obtain weapons, armor, pets and items. Gameplay : 8/10 The game takes place all inside your flash enabled web browser. Most of us know what Flash is, many applications use it and there are many mini flash games out there. What sets this one apart is the developers Artix Entertainment has build (and is expanding) an entire world using Flash. They have pushed the limits of Flash to have adventures, quests, dungeons, even animated cut scenes. Their game mechanics are similar to most mmorpgs, it is really amazing they are mimicking the mechanics of an mmorpg mainly using flash, and running the whole thing on very little hardware requirements. Virtually everyone who has a computer can play this. Story : 7.5/10 Right now the game is running the 13 Lords of Chaos storyline. It is about 13 Lords of Chaos all seeking to destroy the game world of Lore. Players start by choosing an alignment of either Good or Evil, and then going on quests to stop Chaos from taking over the land. They also have mini independent story lines to keep things fresh and interesting. If you are looking for an epic plot twisting storyline, you may not find it here but what they have got is decent, and even good at times. Graphics : 9/10 Their graphics are colorful, suitable for kids. Its all about having fun. Have you heard of racing roaches, as in roaches that take part in car races? You can find that and more fun stuff in the game, all drawn in a colorful, attractive manner. Their artists are excellent and they provide professional artwork. Music : 3/10 The sounds are nearly non existent, all you get is some bland combat sounds, like thuds and whacks. They do have simple music in game. Nothing to write home about. I usually switch off the sound when I am playing and listen to my mp3 instead. Replay Value : 6.5/10 Most of the quests are repetitive. You will probably just need to do something once to know what it is all about. They usually do not have quests with multiple endings so it does not encourage much replay. The game is fun enough on its own, you will want to replay it now and then. The game does update weekly so you can log on at least once a week to see what new adventures are in store for you. Difficulty : 6.5/10 The game is not difficult. It is meant to cater to everyone even people who do not spend much time online playing. You log on, everything is fairly intuitive, even people who are new to the game will catch on quickly, and have loads of fun. Overall : 8/10 The game does have flaws, no game is perfect. This game is free to play, there are limits if you do not have an account but do not let that stop you from trying it out. I am a free player there too, and I am having fun everyday. The game frequently makes it into the Top 10 rankings for browser games. Discussion is welcome

AQ Worlds is their answer for an mmo version of Adventure Quest. It has a new storyline, graphics, items, etc. It is very much a game on its own. And yeah Adventure Quest is old. I played that like 2 years ago. |
