Here is the breakdown that might help.

Football season is a nicely designed system for Americans to enjoy. Fridays are high school football games (as you can tell by Friday Night Lights). Saturdays are college football games. Sundays are professional football games, however there is also Monday night and Thursday night football as well.

College football is more similar to soccer than the NFL fro ma fans perspective. The NFL has a draft each year, so teams come out more evenly matched. However, college is all recruitment so there are traditions are dominant teams that resemble teams like Manchester United, Bayern Munich, etc.

I would highly recommend watching college football. The rivalries and traditions take the game to the next level and the atmosphere is way better than NFL. However, NFL is the most popular sport to watch in America for a reason so I'm sure that's what you'll probably watch. There are a couple historically good teams such as Green Bay, Chicago, and Pittsburgh, but like I said, because of the draft there is never a dominant team at all times. The best teams right now are Denver and Seattle.

IF you have more specific questions let me know. It will be easier for me to answer.

I just looked and saw that they're 2-2. Looking at their schedule though it looks like they're gonna get spanked later in their schedule. Three top 25 teams and some other schools about their caliber

I'm certainly not the football guy, but I have an opinion.

I support the New York Giants. Right now, they are playing very bad, they haven't won yet. The quarter back is Eli Manning, Peyton Manning's brother. Eli turned out to be a pretty good quarter back, but held up to the standards if his brother, it's not even close. The Giants won two Super Bowls in the last ten years. I'm both seasons, they finished 9-7(I think) and in both Super Bowls, they beat the highly favored New England Patriots.

I don't know a lot of the old players, besides the extremely popular ones like Lawrence Taylor, John Elway, Dan Marino, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice. Those are some of the best players of all time, I think...

Best players now are Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos, Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, JJ Watt of the Houston Texans. Among a lot of others. There are a lot of defensive players that are great, Geno Atkins, Patrick Willis, but idk enough about them to rank them.

Worst teams historically are the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals. I think :/
Raiders in top 5 worst teams historically? you really arent the football guy
