It's a Park Kind of Day; It's just... Yeah.

"HURRAY!"
Abellio walked- well, ran- through the gate to the park, arms above his head and trotting about with the attitude of an overexcited five-year-old boy. Jay trotted in behind him, smiling slightly. He was excited, but not nearly as thrilled as his human partner was. Abellio ran around in a circle before plopping onto his back, arms and legs spread out as if he were about to make a snow angel in the grass. Jay walked over to him and looked down.
"...Leaf?"
"We're at the PARK, Jay!"
Abellio was obviously excited to be here. He laid in the grass, eyes closed, basking in the warm sun. Jay looked out and around them to see who all was staring. A few were, but most didn't seem to notice. Jay sat himself down next to Abellio and began plucking grass out of the ground. He was very selective of which grass was plucked. He'd look over the ground, hand at the ready, then find the right one to pull. Then he'd inspect it and either place it tenderly with the rest or throw it behind him, unimpressed with it. This went on for a while before he had quite the handful. Then he placed the pile down and began to pull out certain blades and twist them together.
Abellio sensed something and looked up. He saw, with wide eyes, a magnificent tree that just had to be climbed. In a burst of energy, he shot up from the ground and ran at the tree. Jay, wide eyed and afraid for his pile of grass, threw himself over his treasure as the boy ran off towards the tree. With a sigh of relief, he got back up and continued working on his art.
Abellio was at the tree in no time at all, blasting past other, through ball games, and leaping over picnics. Once at the tree, he threw himself at the trunk and seemed to be bear-hugging it; his feet were even off of the ground and his legs were wrapped around it. He pressed his nose to the tree and smelled it.
"Aaahh... Refreshing."
Abellio scooted up the tree like an inchworm, still in bear-hug position, pulling up with his arms, then bring his legs up, and so on, until he reached the lowest branch, which was pretty high up. He grabbed onto it and hungr from it, releasing the trunk.
"Ali-oop!"
With one swing, the boy spun himself around the branch and landed on top of it, letting go of the branch and squatting on it. He was teen feet up in the air and wasn't even holding onto the tree, just kneeling.
"Hey, Jay!" He said, waving to his companion.
Jay looked up from his work and looked at Abellio. He smiled and waved, then went back to the grass sculpture-in-the-making. It would be one of his best. Abellio, meanwhile, grabbed on the the next branch and smung over that one, just as he had to the last, and kneeled upon that one, now fifteen feet closer to the sky.
"I love the park."

In the games, you get experience for winning because it would be difficult to figure out how much to get by judging how good the battle was over the game, but since this is role playing, I think both the final victory and the battle itself should count towards experience. Even if a pokemon loses, it can still get experience. For example, this Ponyta. Yes, she lost, but she learned the concept of battling and how to fight back against water, which is completely legitimate and logical.
I think, in this case and others like it, that those who don't win should still get the battle point, which is meant toe express experience.

I'm not trying to start fights and arguments, I'm just stating my opinion.

Likewise, I don't think it's fair for my Buizel to get experience in a battle where Nichole's Ponyta doesn't get experience. I think they both put up a good and creative fight. Not that anyone really cares about my Buizel's number of points, but I'm just saying that I don't think it's fair.

Again, not trying to fight or argue. I'm not attacking anyone's thoughts or opinions, just stating my own in hopes of having this resolved.

I realised this way too late after Nichole had already complained and said that she would take 0 points and I felt bad so changed the numbers in her signature (since by that point I was thinking "... Yeah, If I just tell her she's not going to listen"). I now have re read the battle rules for next time stuff like this happens and will probably stay away from modding for a while anyway and allow others who actually know what they're doing to fill in the gaps ><

Abellio wasn't as happy as he'd thought he'd bee at the victory. Watching that Ponyta fall was horrible. He had done that. It was his fault. The boy ran up to the fallen pokemon and her trainer as she was returned to her poke ball.

"Oh, thank you," Abellio replied shyly to the complement.

Buddy floated down, hovering to the ground via spinning tails. He landed on his feet and collapsed to the ground, exaughsted and burned. Abellio kneeled down beside him and Jay ran over, fanning the Buizel with his tail. Abellio reached inside his travel pack and started fiddling around some plants and leaves when Hannah offered some money and a burn heal.

"Oh my, no, I- I just couldn't," he said, standing, "If anything, I should be offering you things. I feel just awful about hurting your Ponyta. Here." Abellio reached in his pack and retrieved the petals of a red and blue flower he grabbed earlier. "Take these. They make great tea."

Abellio went back to Buddy and pulled out a different kind of plants from his pack and fed them to the Buizel before returning him to his poke ball.

"That will heal him in no time at all," he assured a worried Smugleaf.

"But, thank you for the battle," he said to Hannah, "You battled wonderfully!"

"Thanks," Hannah murmured gratefully, taking the flower petals and putting them into the protective pouch, alongside the grass figurine. With a broad smile, the dark-haired trainer kneeled down, extending her hand towards Jay, considering how she hadn't had the opportunity to properly thank him for the grass teddy bear he had given her. Hopefully he wouldn't be too upset with her for battling Buddy.

"Hey, there. I didn't get to say thank you for making me that teddy bear. Hopefully you're not mad at me?"

Looking up, she smiled at Abellio, standing in favor of facing him better after speaking with the Smugleaf, a proud look on her face. For someone who wasn't into battling, he did a wonderful job coming up with some creative techniques. Thinking of something, Hannah pulled something off of her belt, a watch-like device with a relatively large screen.

"Thanks! You know, for someone who doesn't do a lot of battling, you did amazingly. In fact,"She trailed off, pushing a few buttons on her Pokegear before showing it to the other trainer, making sure he saw the number written on the screen. "this is my number. You seem like a pretty nice guy. Who knows? You may get the urge to battle again some time."

Strapping the Pokegear back onto her belt, the girl plopped her arm over her Ursaring's neck, straightening the bright pink bow around her neck. The bear whined, prompting an irritated sigh from Hannah, "We were supposed to be on our way to take the gym challenge. We need to get going - like I said, call if you want anything!"

With that said, the girl and her Ursaring both took off.

Jay looked at Hannah's hand, upset that she had hurt Buddy. He glared at her for a while before finally looking away, nose up, and shaking her hand cooly.

"Smug."

"Ugh, don't mind him." Abellio said, pushing the Smugleaf away with his foot.

The boy nodded shly in gratitude for the compliemnt he was just given by the girl.

"Thanks. You did great as well."

Then he saw the pokegear number that Hannah was showing him He didn't have a pokegear or cellphone or anything like that with him. He wasn't exactly sure how they could keep in touch with that little problem, but he made a mental note of the number anyways. Maybe he could use a phone in a pokecenter sometime. She wouldn't be able to reach him, but at least they had a way to talk if they needed to. Besides, Abellio had a feeling he'd cross paths with Hannah again sometime.

"Good luck with your gym challenge. Maybe I'll look into that as well." Abellio thought for a moment before turning to Jay. "Well, Jay, we've got tons of places to see. We'd better get a move on, too."

Abellio turned back to the girl as she began to walk away. He watched her go for a few seconds, jsut standing there before waving goodbye as she went further and further, until she was out of sight. Saying good bye was always hard, but Abellio was a nomad and he had gotten used to saying goodbye so often and so quickly. Then again, he had her number now. He thought about that fact for a moment before blushing a little, a hint of a surpressed smile on his lips.

"C'mon, Jay." he said happily.

The two of them left the park.
