A red blur streaked through the empty trees as the day snowed. Each movement caused the branches to dump the snow on a running boy. He grunted and brushed the snow off his head, keeping an eye on the red blur. Finally the red blur stopped and turned around to look at the boy.

"Justin! You really like this park, don't you?" Jake called out to the fire monkey. He wasn't panting or tired of this. He was actually glad for this running. It was just harmless fun, right?

Justin chattered before jumping down to the boy, where he was immediately smothered with hugs from his 'brother'. He smiled and hugged back. He pulled the jacket zipper down a bit so he could get in. It wasn't that cold to him but, like all fire-types, he had to preserve his heat in this kind of weather.

The boy pulled up the zipper so it would be more warmer for the monkey. He tucked his hands into his jacket pockets and walked around the park, noticing some types of Pokemon loitering around. He jumped when he heard some crunching snow behind him. He peeked behind his shoulder to see who it was.

Jake nodded and spoke up, "Well I got Justin straight out of an egg my mother gave me. He was actually hard to tame for a while." He sighed as he remembered how bad Justin would behave. At least now, he's helpful.

Justin chattered happily and wrestled with the dog. He slid around in the melting snow. His tail whipped around as he stumbled around for balance and whirled around to face Flare. Once again, he pounced on the dog, chattering.

"Looks like he's really jumpy and happy.." Chase smiled innocently, not seeming to get that those two qualities would have been quite a large part of why he was so hard to train with a fun loving jumpiness getting the monkey out of the way of any training for a while until other things happen. He giggled as he started to watch the two pokémon pouncing and chasing each other.

Flare seemed to notice that there was a monkey suddenly on his back, attempting to act a little like a Tauros in bucking the other off of his back, before accidentally managing to collide with who seemed to be a business woman in a long trench coat wading her way across the park, her ending up stumbling harshly from the sudden collision, only just staying on her feet before rounding back against the pokémon, kicking them back a couple of metres and leaving Flare whining in annoyance.

"Do you two mind keeping an eye on these pests?" she complained up at them, Flare whimpering at being close to her, starting to jump back a little to where the pair of them had made gaps in the snow, not wanting to be so close to the new woman, and finding somewhere the snow wasn't cooling him down the whole time.
The briefcase she held was opened a small way, two items being withdrawn from it before her hip closing it once again, dropping it to the ground.

"I mean seriously, if you can't control them while they play, however to you expect them to fair in a fight?" she purred, two balls being thrown lazily over towards the group, a Froslass and Sneasel being released, seeming both happy to be in the snowy conditions for a split second before stoicly staring down at the fire types, seeming almost afraid to be anything but appearing to be the perfect pokémon.

"Fross, Hail. Snea, pick your target and Icy Wind." she said casually, as if telling of how cold the weather had been recently, not commanding an attack for teaching two small boys a lesson in training.

Chase's eyes widened, him trying to work out what was going on with this strange woman appearing before them. They were just having fun, why attack? Either way it didn't seem like there was much point in arguing any more as the hailstones started to fall around them, only adding to the cold layer on the ground around them.

Jake winced as the business lady kicked both Flare and Justin away from her. That wasn't right thing to do when dealing with 'pests', or so the lady had called both fire-type Pokemon. He watched the lady take out two Poke Balls out of her suitcase and throw the Pokemon that was in the balls out into the open.

"Froslass and Sneasel, huh?" He muttered and motioned Justin to come to him. Justin got up quickly and jumped to the boy. "Be careful. Do your best." He continued to whisper, almost glad for the hail since it made noises, even with the snow covering the ground.

Justin nodded and went back to the battle that was starting. "Alright. Use Nasty Plot first and then Fire Spin when you see an opening!" Jake called out to the fire monkey. He went silent and started to think about something that involved nasty stuff. He watched both Ice Pokemon as they attacked for any openings.

"Outrun it!" Chase quickly shouted, Flare darting off as fast as possible to get away from the icy blast of air headed in this direction, its power increased by the chill already in the air.
"Keep it quick Flare." he mused, the puppy pokémon seeming a little confused by the trainers obsession with speed, especially when faced with a Sneasel, but following orders anyway. The two soon locked in the battle, completely ignoring what was going on next to them.

Froslass seemed to notice the Nasty Plotting going on on the other side, the call for Fake Tears coming with, playing out the scene where even the thoughts of what were being planned were enough to make the pokémon cry. The Firespin started out while she was in mid sob, but her ability kicking in, giving her the added cloak of protection along with her ghostliness to fade into the hailstones and become unseen as well as making sure the attack missed.
She only slipped out of the cloak of hail to unleash the called forth Confusion Ray onto Justin.

Jake had to ignore the battle Chase was partaking in right now. Froslass was probably the most problematic Pokemon due to its higher level above Justin and Flare. It was evolved Pokemon so that presented more problems for the young boy.

When the icy Pokemon disappeared, he realized it must've used its ability. What kind of ability is unknown to the young boy but it would make a hell out of this fight. He could easily command Justin to get close and personal with that floating ice Pokemon but then it fired a Confusion Ray at the monkey.

"Dodge now!" He commanded the red monkey. The monkey didn't know how exactly to dodge and did his best. Flipping and hopping around, he dodged the ray and got close to the ice Pokemon.

"Fire Punch!" The young boy called out, seeing his chance. The monkey curled one hand/paw into a fist and set it on fire. He drew back his fist and threw his punch at the ice Pokemon, hoping his Fire Punch would land a hit on this Froslass.

The Froslass was hit apparently quite badly, ending up flying spiralling backwards and looking very thankful to land in the snow to cool off once more. She stayed down there for a while, relaxing as the hailstones fell, allowing a shiver of welcoming cool back into her system as they pummelled down painfully to those on the other team.

"Captivate, then Astonish." came a call from the woman before she started making calls for the other side of the fight, Flare not seeming to be holding out as well as he should have been over there.

Froslass floated upwards from the snow, drifting lazily into the line of sight of Justin, attempting to Captivate him with some aspect of her femininity and stop him from hurting her quite so much, before something seeming to suddenly change, her launching forwards towards him with the surprising war cry which gave the move its name to attempt to get a hit.

These hailstones were getting annoying to Jake and Justin. The boy had long since put up his hood over his head to protect himself from the hailstones. The monkey endured it as best as he could until the Froslass used Captivate.

Justin felt his face flushing and his body stiffen. Now the very thought of hurting this female Pokemon caused some guilt in his heart. Suddenly she cried out and hit him, causing him to be knocked backwards and lose his footing. He stumbled back up and shook his head to clear some pain up but it was fruitless since the hailstones was pounding on him.

Jake gritted his teeth and called out, "Try to use Leer and then Low Kick!" The monkey frowned and muttered something. He didn't want to hurt Froslass after completing the first phase of his attack. Nevertheless he followed the orders. He leered at the Ice Pokemon before hesitating to move on to the second part. He didn't want to hurt her at all.

(Sorry about the delay, I keep forgetting this is here... *innocent look* I'll try to keep up :X )

The hailstones started to fade after that point, seeming to turn just to normal snow after the attack rather than fading. They'd chilled the air enough that anything that fell for a while would be snow, helping to cover the ground in the white blanket.

The leer seemed to take her aback somehow, not expecting him to be able to do anything at all, let alone the glaring attack. The Low Kick though due to the reluctance was quite easy to float over the top of, though the fact she were a ghost wouldn't harm that fact neither. Didn't make her immune, but it did help her avoid, a lot.

She started to concentrate for a moment, before calling up an Ominous Wind, throwing the purple sickly looking gust in Justins direction before posing slightly, trying to use the captivation to hold Justin where he was rather than give him the chance to run out of the way.

(Tis fine, just try to remember...)

Jake looked around to see the hail was turning to snow and now started to cover the ground with more snow. At least they didn't have to endure the painful pounding of those icy rocks.

He looked back to the battle between Justin and Froslass. That Froslass... She was becoming a problem, now that Justin was in love with her. He hoped it would end soon enough.

"Use Fire Spin at that Ominous Wind! Don't worry, you won't hit her." He called out to the red monkey.

Justin blinked with surprise. Really? He wouldn't hurt her with Fire Spin? Well it sorta made sense seeing that the Ominous Wind was just dark-colored wind and would simply push the fire back. He glanced back to the ice Pokemon, feeling a blush making its way on his face. He quickly shook his head before spitting out a spiral of flames at the wind.

Just as the monkey thought, the wind easily pushed its way through the flames was nearing him when he decided to move out of the way. How could he move out of the way? Simple, the flames and wind blocked his vision of the Froslass, and he didn't see her posing at him.

The fire spin didn't seem to have done a great deal on paper, but the heat of the attack seemed to have melted quite a bit of the snow and hail on the ground, Froslass not seeming too happy with it neither. She was a being made for cold, not all this heat from the flames around her.

"Icy wind." came the call of her trainer, seeming to notice the amount of heat in the area, trying to get both of her pokémon to cool things back down again, and the fact it had a chance to hit and slow down the opponents wouldn't go a miss either.

"Now, double team and confuse ray." she said, before moving off to the sneasel attack once more. Froslass seemed to nod, splitting into the many illusions of herself plus the true one, all of them aiming a confuse ray to Justin. It wasn't quite as impressive as it looked though, her quite obviously weak from the heat and continued attacks on her.

Justin was getting tired from battling and using same moves repeatedly. It was sapping his precious energy. He shook his head to fight off the upcoming fatigue and also, unknowingly to himself, the captivation. He looked at Froslass and glared at him, unleashing an Leer purely out of accident before getting blasted by the Icy Wind.

He shivered, feeling his limbs slowing down. Crap, now he was stuck being slower than the Ice Pokemon. "Look out!" A cry from Jake caused him to look around. Now he was in trouble. He could do another Fire Spin to get himself out of this situation but he was too tired and cold.

The confuse rays hit him and everything started to swirl around in front of him. Without waiting for the order from Jake, he started to spit fire at the clones, hoping the real one would be exposed.

Then all of the sudden, some stream of flames that were meant for one of the clones attacked the monkey. He let a cry of pain as the flames attempted to burn his skin.

The real one by sheer fluke managed to end up being hit, the amount of fire being randomly spat off being enough to disorientate Froslass enough that it didn't avoid in time, all the rest of the copies vanishing at that point, leaving her feeling quite exposed, as well as clearly tired from everything that was happening.

"Come on, one more Icy Wind." the woman spat out, Froslass seeming to wince at the tone of the woman, attempting one last attack before exhaustion took her. The wind breezed forwards, not having all that momentum behind it and the ice particles which normally were trapped in it causing the majority of the damage so small that the attack may as well not have happened.

The woman seemed to glare at the ghost type before over to her sneasel which wasn't in any better condition after being blasted with another Ember attack. A quick attack was attempted onto the puppy, but by now its attack was expected, being dodged and more fire blasted into the sharp claw pokémon from behind, causing it to faint. Flare yapped cheerfully at having won the fight, though he didn't look all too happy to still be around all the cold and a deep gash seemed to have made its way down his side, but it would heal.

Flare looked over to Justin, Chase seeing too, him nodding to the puppy pokémon and using a Helping Hand attack, trying to give Justin that little more energy to get the fight done.

Justin shook his head, attempting to dispel the confusion that was buzzing around in his head. He noticed the wind pick up around him and blow at him. Sure, it was supposed to do something to him but this time, it did nothing. Actually, it did something to him. It just cooled him down and snapped himself out of the confusion. He blinked and somehow let a small squeak out.

The monkey felt some kind of energy surge into him and looked around for the source. He then noticed Flare glowing, signaling he was using a support move or something like that. He squealed at him and focused on Froslass. She was weak now and one good fire attack should put her out for time being.

Jake smiled at himself about this turn of events. He noticed the Growlithe sending out a Helping Hand attack and smiled even more. "Justin, use Fire Spin again!" He called out.

The red monkey squeaked once more, took a deep breath, and spat out a stream of flames that curved sharply towards the Ice Pokemon that was attempting to rest. Once he was done sending out the attack, the exhaustion over took him in the form of him sitting down on the snow then laying down on his back. He was still awake and waited for the sounds of Jake's footsteps.

The womans eye twitched as she saw Froslass being knocked out by the wave of flames caused by that damn fire monkey.

"You're gonna pay for this.." she glared at each of the boys in turn as she withdrew her pokémon back to their balls.
"Both of you, you'll pay for what you've done to my pokémon! I'll find you again and I swear next time it doesn't matter how lucky you are with the weather or typing matches, you're going down!" she yelled at them, quickly running off as if trying to hide the shame of being beaten by not being seen.

"Well.. That was a little odd..." Chase mused slowly, Flare seeming to agree as he collapsed into the snow to help cool off his new wound and take the weight off of his legs.

After the woman screamed her head off and ran away, Jake had to say something. "That was so lame." He muttered and nodded in agreement with Chase. It was odd for a fully grown woman to scream at kids.

He walked over to Justin and picked him up, "Well now, you put up a good fight!" The monkey chatted tiredly and crawled into his jacket, snugging up to sleep for a bit. The boy smiled and patted his Pokemon's head.

"Well, looks like we'll have to go to Pokemon Center for a bit!" He declared and walked away from the park.
