The Skyline began to light up as the night gave way to dawn. Aaron had set out about an hour or so ago, as the sunlight had just begun to rise over the horizon. He walked along the dusty road before seeing the entrance to the Cave. The girl had said this was the quickest way through, so he sighed and stepped into the darkness. He'd been thinking Over what he happened in the Pokemon center a few times since he started off, and was upset at himself every time. He'd made a commitment, though, and decided he'd have to follow through. The cave was dark. Aaron Rummaged in his bag, pulled out his flashlight, and flicked it on. Banner had already moved a bit ahead of him, his feline sight keeping his vision sharp. The Cave was dimly lit in some areas, and totally black in others, Aaron was thankful for his Flashlight. He waved it around, taking in the cave. Stalactites hung from the roof and he could hear the low drip of water echoing through the cave. He walked forward into the cave, footsteps reverberating throughout the cave. |

(( Yay, you gave me an excuse to use Malina~ She hasn't killed anyone lately. )) The silence of the cave would suddenly be broken as voices could be heard up ahead. They seemed to be almost speaking in hurried, hushed whispers as if what they were talking about was of dire importance. Upon closer examination, the voices were of several different people, mostly young men and woman in their teens that melded together in one aggregation of whispers. They seemed to be speaking excitedly of things like the legendary Quintet, a machine that forced evolution upon Pokemon, and other eerie things. There was one voice, however, that stood out. It was that of a woman, the tone of which was almost sickeningly sweet and girlish. Immediately as she began talking, the others fell silent. “Oh, my! It seems Liepard hears someone else in the cave. You! Be a doll and bring them to me, alrighty?" Immediately after, a young man (affectionately donned 'you!') would pipe up, his voice quivering. Whether it be from the cold of the cave or sheer fear of the woman speaking was unknown. "Y-yes, Malina." As would be expected, the Umbran grunt rushed off, his footsteps reverberating around the cave. Unless Aaron ran away the second he heard him come his way, he would met with the oddly dressed young man only seconds later. There was a small Glameow at his feet, the little feline glaring at Banner. "Intruder!" The grunt shouted, calling back to the other people in the cave. "Y-you and your Meowth come with me. Don't try anything dumb!" |

As Aaron walked he began hearing voices echoing through the cavern. Unintelligible through the reverberations of the rocky cave. Curiosity seemed to get the better of him and Aron began moving his way closer to the source of the sounds, Banner following reluctantly. The Small Cat did not like the cave. With every few steps he'd step in some puddle of wetness, drenching his paws. At least he could see better than his human counterpart. Aaron wound his way towards (Where he assumed) the sounds were coming from, grabbing onto the cave walls occasionally, and stepping very slowly so as not to trip. His excursion was suddenly interrupted by a boy in a uniform. Aaron might have felt threatened, but any fear that was there vanished when the kid stuttered an order at him. Aaron angled his flashlight at the Umbran's face, obviously a rude gesture. "uhh... Sorry, I'm not really the kind to take orders, bud." Banner had run in front of Aaron and taken up a defensive pose, the fur on his back on end. His gaze switching between the Boy and his Glameow. The meowth was ready to fight whenever his opponent made a move, and coincidentally, Aaron was too. He had no qualms about getting into a brawl with the Umbran if it came to that. |

The grunt looked a bit shocked that Aaron didn't immediately obey his command. He had the uniform, the Pokemon, would would the trainer not listen to him? Pushing the thought uncomfortably aside, the grunt fumbled with his next words. After all, if he didn't bring the boy and his Meowth, Malina would have his head. So, standing tall, the boy extended his hand, commanding his Glameow to step forward. The Catty Pokemon unsheathed its claws, the hair on its back standing on end. Without warning, it's curly, spring-like tail lashed out at Banner, attempting to whip the Scratch Cat Pokemon across the face. "You listen here! You and your Meowth come with me or- or I'll end you both!" Then, the group that had previously been farther down in the cave emerged, led by a petite, pink-haired young woman with a reassuringly amiable face. With the childish pig tails and pink lipstick, she seemed to be entirely innocent: until one realized the dress she was wearing covered little more than the essentials. It seemed the woman wasn't entirely angelic, nor was the feline Pokemon sitting proudly beside her. The Pokemon wasn't entirely visible, but the unmistakable yellow glare of two feline eyes peered out, narrowing at the sight of Aaron and Banner. Malina smiled, folding her arms over her chest. "Well, aren't you cute," She cooed to Aaron and his Meowth. "If this runt can't beat you, I may have to myself." |

The grunts stuttering threat gave Aaron a small smile. Until of course the others showed up. As the woman, whom Aaron deduced was the leader spoke, his expression became far more serious. Banner, having expected a scratch or slash attack of some kind was rather surprised by the tail whip. He ducked down to avoid it, but the foe's large tail still swiped him across his face and the small meowth's guard was dropped for a few moments as he backpedaled a few steps. "Scratch Attack!" The feline was too busy reacting to the tailwhip to pull of the attack very well, Instead he merely extending his claws and batting towards his foe. Aaron let out a small groan to himself. Not a very good start |

The grunt watched, teeth clenched as Banner lurched forward to use Scratch. Obviously, from the sweat already pouring down the sides of the boy’s face in the chilly cave, he wasn’t used to battling. Had he been more experienced, he easily could have told his Glameow to avoid the hit, what with the Meowth’s uncoordinated start up. The Umbran hesitated, however, leaving the Catty Pokemon to take a blow directly to its face. The hit seemed to startle the grunt, and he immediately looked over to Malina, as if he were expecting her to scold him or something. The woman remained silent, however, a coy smile on her face. “Mrreoww!” The Glameow slid backwards defensively, whipping its long tail in front of itself as a makeshift shield. "Glameow, use Quick Attack! And then, uh, u-use Bite!" Despite the boy's quivery command, the feline obeyed, darted forward and seeming to disappear into thin air. It would then reappear to the side of Banner, seeming to move in for an attack, only to promptly vanish once more. Then, finally, it would appear back in front of the Scratch Cat Pokemon and lash out at him, attempting to take him by surprise. Along with the blow, the Glameow simultaneously lunged with its jaws open to bite the Meowth's neck. |

"Watch out! Jump!" Aaron clenched his fist as he issued the order. Banner, obeying his command leapt up and forward in an attempt to dodge, but the enemy cat still got a mouthful of meowth tail. Certainly a preferable alternative to the bite on the neck and the impact of the quick attack, but it still did its damage. Banners tail in the Glameow's jaws abruptly stopped his momentum, cutting his leap short and sending him quickly to the ground. "Get'm with your own Bite Attack, And try a Scratch!" Aaron barked, Clenching his fist even tighter. He knew Banner would have to finish this Glameow as quickly as he could if he was going to have the energy to deal with the other Umbrans as well, but the chances of the little cat being able to finish all of the foes seemed very slight. Aaron cursed himself for not having something to help out. Another pokemon, A secret move, some kind of useful item, even a berry or a potion. He was infuriatingly unprepared for these sort of battles. The Meowth regained its footing as quickly as he dropped to the ground and sprung back around to face the other cat. If the Glameow's bit lasted too long, Banner would have a perfect opening connect with it's neck, a much more critical blow, and If he could get into the right position, he could even swat his paw up to scratch the other feline across its face. The Glameow was satisfied with the mouthful of Meowth tail, even if it hadn't been his neck. The Catty Pokemon released Banner's tail when the feline was spent into the ground, eyes narrowed almost tauntingly at the Scratch Cat Pokemon. However, when Banner abruptly turned, the Glameow tensed, waiting eagerly for a command from its trainer to dodge or do anything. The grunt hesitated, stammering over his commands and this delay allowed Banner to clamp onto Glameow's long, skinny, and painfully exposed neck. As could he expected, the feline let out a wail, flailing wildly with claws unsheathed to try and dislodge the Meowth. "Do something with your tail! Use t-tail whip!" Finally, with an order, the Glameow stopped struggling, its long, ribbon-like tail uncoiling and coming down to whip Banner straight across the back. The Catty Pokemon would repeat this whipping action numerous times while simultaneously using Flail, attempting anything to get Banner's jaws from around its neck. Still, from beneath the Glameow's slate gray fur, a little bit of blood was noticeable. If it didn't manage to somehow displace the Meowth off soon, it would inevitably faint from fatigue. |

Aaron suppressed a low chuckle at the boy's shaky command. If nothing else, the grunts Lack of confidence was doing wonders for his morale. He was even starting to grow a little Cocky. "Hah. Banner release him and pin that tail of his down. Follow up with a slash!" He said. Ordering a slash attack was definitely letting his ego get the better of him. He'd never seen Banner use one, and they'd most certainly never practiced. Nonetheless, can't learn if you don't try, he figured. Aaron watched as Banner released the cats neck from his mouth, took a stride backwards and focused his eyes on the tail. He sprung to the side as it came down, catching it with a paw and pulling it to the ground. From there, he pounced back towards the cat, brandishing his claws and preparing to swipe down at the foe with all the speed and power he could muster. Banner seemed to be feeling pretty confident as well. Of course, if he missed unexpectedly, his momentum could cause him to tumble over himself, falling on the floor, completely vulnerable, but, presumably, yanking and pinning down the Glameow's tail would at least throw off the foe's guard. As with any feline, the Glameow especially, his tail was his everything. Without it, his balance and orientation was pretty much that of a Zubat without sonar. The relative bewilderment of the feline caused it to panic a bit, paws raised to bat the Meowth away to the best of its ability. However, the Slash attack slammed into its breast, sending it skidding backwards - well, as far as its pinned down tail would allow it to slide. The grunt let out a sharp breath, watching with wide eyes as the Catty Pokemon struggled to get to its feet. Then, with one final heave, it collapsed onto the damp cave floor, neck bleeding from the previous bite. The uniform-clad grunt let out an awkward groan, digging into his belt with shaking hands for the Glameow's pokeball. "I-I'm sorry, really I am. it's just c-cold in this cave and t-the Glameow wouldn't listen to me-" The boy stammered and dropped the ball to the cave floor with his fumbling. Before he had the chance to pick the ball back up, the woman standing adjacent to him pulled something from her belt. Before one could think to identify the object, a shot rang out through the cave, causing the stalactites to quiver precariously. Even with the silencer, the small caliber firearm made quite the noise in the cave, so much so that the rest of the Umbrans within the cave nearly hit the floor. The grunt in the line of fire immediately fell into a heap beside his fainted Glameow. Whether or not it had been a lethal firearm was up for debate- there didn't seem to be any blood or a noticeable would in the young man's head. "I'm so sick and tired of incompetent children! Ugh, can't anyone do anything right? Liepard, darling, come here." Malina moaned dramatically, extending her manicured hand for her Pokemon to come forward. A purr was audible from the shadows as a large, slender shape emerged from the darkness, her silent feet meeting the ground with no noise at all. The Liepard was stark black, her yellow rosettes seeming to glow with what little light the cave offered. Her eyes, however, were the oddest thing - yellow and slitted, they glared menacingly with little to no hint of mercy or compassion. it was almost as if the creature possessed no soul. The ebony feline let out a low, reverberating hiss, her sickle-like tail flitting back and forth. "Well, baby boy, as fun as it's been, I'm afraid Liepard is going to have to rip you and your little kitty to shreds." Malina giggled. |

Aaron couldn't contain his smile as Banner finished of the Glameow. Banner was starting to really impress him. The small Cat definitely a scrapper. Aaron was proud. This wave of good feelings was cut short as the Gunshot rang through the cavern. Aaron wasn't able to make out any blood, but whether the grunt was dead or not, this encounter just felt a lot more real. For the first time since he was a boy, Aaron was immobilized with fear. For all of ten seconds he stood there, Staring at the boys limp body. Whether or not he had been killed, he was clearly incapacitated, and viciously attacked by his leader nonetheless. The fear turned to fury. Aaron wasn't sure why this created such a surge of emotions within him. He'd seen people beaten to a pulp and left for dead, he'd seen men stabbed with switchblades and broken bottles, and women beaten unconscious, but explanation or not, this sight truly infuriated him, lethal shot or no. The woman's words barely registering, he angrily glared at her. He exchanged glances with Banner as the liepard walked closer. The Meowth's expression did not quite match his own. There was a certain anger, but nothing out of the ordinary during a pokemon battle. Instead the cat's eyes seemed envious as the larger feline approached. Envy but also worry. "Fake Out. Let's get this fight started on our terms." Aaron said. His voice was not much louder than a whisper, he was having trouble controlling his volume at all, it seemed. "Follow up with a faint attack." His voice now returning to a more normal volume. His emotions were bothering him. He was usually pretty level headed in a situation like this, maybe it was the lack of sleep. Or it could be the darkness of the cave. Whatever the reason, he wasn't quite himself. Banner however was still focused. Dashing towards the Liepard, Jumped towards his face. The Meowth plan was to lightly rebound off his foe, causing little damage, but making the larger cat flinch and unable to make a move. Then, he'd dissapear using faint attack, assisted by the shadows of the cave, only to reappear and attack behind. Striking at the Liepard's hind legs. ((Super sorry for the late reply. Been busy the past day or so. Hopefully it's a decent reply, didn't really have much of an idea when I started.)) Edited by RedHero, Feb 17 2011, 01:18 AM.

"You're disgustingly cute, little boy. Liepard, baby, use Charm on that Meowth." The woman sneered as Banner drew in for an attack. There wasn't much that could be done to prevent inevitable damage, but the impact could be lessened considerably. Upon hearing the command, the ebony feline raised her head and purred, a faint red aura surrounding her slender frame. Instead of dodging the inevitable attack, Liepard merely waited, recoiling with the next hit. The female cat then drooped her whiskers, feigning injury from the attack, purring lowly in devised pain. Whether or not Banner was affected by Charm consciously or not had nothing to do with the inevitable fate his gender left him with. "Now," Malina chimed, placing a hand on her hip. "Use Slash and rip him to shreds!" Rather than use her claws, Liepard whipped her tail forward. The sickle-shaped appendage seemed to harden into a blade, one that was sent hurling towards Banner. If the tail failed, the feline backed it up with her claws, agilely jumping to and fro. Her aim was precise; she wasn't meaning to just strike the Meowth anywhere. She was aiming for Banner's throat. |

Banner, though unwillingly, responded to the charm by Weakening his strikes. Unconsciously not wanting to harm the feline. As the Cat struck his opponent, his attacks were noticeably weaker. "Bitch..." Aaron mumbled under his breath as he watched his Pokemon's dulled attacks strike the foe. Before Banner had had time to strike again the Liepard rushed at him, swinging her razor tail. Banner avoided the first slash but was caught by the second swipe of her claws. "Don't let down your guard" Aaron shot in, causing Banner to raise his front paws, blocking the liepard's contact with his neck, but leaving bloody gashes across the cat's front legs and sending him sprawling backwards. Aaron watched as his meowth struggled to his feet, blood slowly dripping to it's paws. Legs shaking under his weight he collapsed again. Aaron closed his eyes, unwilling to watch the final strike, when a white light shone through the tunnel. As he reopened his eyes, he saw the glowing form of his meowth. The shape began transforming. Rays of light emanating from it's shifting form, The figure climbed to its feet as the glow began to dull. Aaron was shocked, Banner evolving at a time like this? It was their second chance. The newly evolved persian let out a low grumble as it eyed it's adversary. "Let's give it another shot, Banner." The Persian let out a loud roar. A screech attack. The sound, especially in the acoustics of the cave should have a powerful effect on the Liepard's defenses. Aaron covered his own ears for a moment as the sound echoed through the cavern. He thought for a moment about the effect on the other pokemon inhabiting the cave as well, but pushed the thoughts out of his head, right now he had to focus on the battle. "Take'm out. Use Slash" Aaron gave a cocky smile as he spoke the words. Even taking the charm into account, the Screech attack had shifted the balance over to their favor. The odds were with them this time. The Feline dashed forward and raised a paw, claws extended, to strike the foe, swinging at his face. Aaron eyed his own foe. Though unwilling to take his eyes off of the battle for more than a second, He was sure to keep watch of the Liepard's trainer. An Umbran with a gun wasn't something one just ignores. The Liepard let out a blood curling hiss, it’s sickle-shaped tail hanging menacingly over it’s head. It’s target was the fallen Meowth’s neck, fully intent on decapitating the cat. However, she paused just as she raised her tail to deliver the final blow. The feline’s dark eyes narrowed as the Meowth started to glow, instinctively backing away several feet. Fury flashed within those aforementioned eyes as the newly evolved Persian let out a hiss, returning the combative bellow. Until, that is, Banner’s Screech attack intensified and the entirety of the cave began to tremble with the ardor of the roar. Disorientated, Liepard pressed her sensitive ears against her head, eyes shut to try and regain at least some sense of composure. The Umbrans within the cave all covered their ears and some even hit the floor. Malina, however, merely frowned and remained standing, mild discomfort showing on her face. “Liepard-” Before she could utter a command, a frenzied bevy of Zubat suddenly flew overhead, startled by the noise. The screeching and fluttering Zubat caused the Liepard to duck forward. Unfortunately for her, she was met with Banner's swinging paw. The force of the blow knocked the slender feline backwards, blood flying from a laceration on the cat's chin and spotting the cave walls. Growling, the feline pushed herself up onto her feet, shaking her head and causing blood to scatter here and there. Her black pelt took on an eerie sort of purplish glow, almost like an aura of pure evil if such a thing could exist. The Shadow Pokemon, without the ability to show pain or emotion, stalked forward. If the woman hadn't made Aaron uncomfortable to begin with, the almost unbearably heartless Liepard she possessed could certainly do the trick. It was obvious the feline had been tampered with somehow; no Pokemon could display such emptiness. Despite the gash across her chin that partially revealed her gums, the feline snarled. "Faint Attack it, Lie-Lie." Malina commanded. Without hesitation, Liepard rushed forward, raising her paw to attack the newly evolved Persian. However, just as she was about to reach Banner, she vanished. The cat would then appear behind the Persian and attempt to slash it from behind. |

Banner glared at the cat. Eyeing his adversary intently when out of nowhere she vanished. Banner blinked quickly, before bounding over to where the Liepard once stood. Looking around erratically to try and find his foe. The Persian felt a sharp pain as his hindquarters were slashed. He let out a yowl as he quickly reared up and turned to see the source of the strike. He hissed again at the Liepard. Locking gazes with it and getting into a low combat stance. "lady, you're really starting to annoy me." Aaron said, arching a brow. He ran his hand through his hair as he issued his next order. "Fury Swipes!" Aaron was starting to cool off now, back to his usual level headed self, though watching the battle, he couldn't help but feel a chill at the unnatural way the liepard acted. . Keeping himself thinking was the only way he'd come out of this encounter safely. Both the girl and her pokemon were definitely dangerous, Not to mention the rest of the Umbran mob. Persian swiped at the Liepard. Utilizing both paws, slashing at him with one as soon as the other touched the ground. "After that, Use a feint attack." Aaron added as the feline flailed at it's target. The Cat ended his flurry of blows by disappearing into the darkness, Pouncing at his foe. He'd attempt to knock the cat over, leaving her more vulnerable by exposing her throat. A common target for Feline Predators. |

The feeling of her claws slashing across the Persian’s hindquarters more than assured Liepard the hit had been successful, even in the relative darkness of the cave. The Ill-Natured Pokemon returned the snarl, her gums clearly visible from the previous slash that had lacerated the better part of her chin. Yellow fangs glinted with a combination of blood and saliva as the two felines squared off momentarily before Banner reared for an attack. Without waiting for an order from Malina, the Liepard rushed forward as well and retaliated with its own Fury Swipes. With the two cats slashing and fighting one another at close quarters, it was bound to be quite a dirty match. The Liepard continued to swing her arms to and fro, striking at Banner with aimless slashes - until, that is, he suddenly vanished. “Let’s show him how we play, Lie-Lie. Hone Claws!" Malina giggled. The Liepard obeyed, letting out a gruff purr and instinctively raised her tail and whiskers, raising her accuracy considerably. As the move suggested, her claws unsheathed and curved over, signifying a raise in her attack stat as well. Sensing the Persian's presence behind her, the cat suddenly turned and yowled, colliding with Banner when he pounced on her. The Liepard dug her curved claws into the Persian's shoulder blades, attempting to forcibly hold Banner on the ground in front of her. The reason behind this became obvious with Malina's next command. "Now, Shadow Ball the little brat, Liepard." A ball of energy formed in the center of the Shadow Pokemon's open mouth, attempting to hold Banner to the ground to the best of her abilities and blast him directly in the face. If this didn't work, then the feline's increased accuracy and attack would surely make up for it - or, at least, that's what Malina was confidently assuming. The other grunts huddled behind her seemed terrified of the match before them, all clutching to each other's arms. Without warning, the pink-haired Admin suddenly thrust her arm out, grabbing a young girl from the crowd of grunts. Malina pushed her forward before pointing angrily towards a second grunt, this time a young man. "You two!" She shouted, causing them both to jump. "Take the Persian's trainer." Shakily obeying, the young man and woman both nodded and rushed toward Aaron to try and restrain him. Their uniforms had no belts or places to hold Pokeballs, so the two kids didn't have any Pokemon on them. Still, they were hoping to best the lone young man while he was being distracted with the battle to restrain him - and with Malina present, that most likely meant death for him or his Persian should he allowed himself to be contained. However, from the looks of the two terrified grunts who had been sent to bind him, it wouldn't be that hard to fend them off. |

With surprise, the persian fell to the ground. He hadn't been expecting such a sudden attack, indeed, he expected to make more contact with the Liepard before anything at all happened. Instead his foes claws dug into his hide as he landed on the hard stone-and-dirt of the Caves floor. The cat struggled under his adversary's grip. Through the darkness of the cave, Aaron could barely see the battle too well. Only managing to see blurs as the Cats traded blows with fury strikes and being completely lost as to how the Liepard had so quickly turned the tables and Pinned Banner to the ground. Neither could he make out the dark Umbran uniforms as they crept their way over to him. "Banner, get out of his grip. Quick!" Aaron shouted. "Use -- Hnnffnn..!" The Umbrans Grabbed him, muffling his commands as they pulled him backwards. Aaron Kicked his feet as he struggled to break their grip. Even two to one, if he wasn't caught by surprise, he might've been able to take them. The runaway was constantly fighting his way out of capture. Lacking instruction, Banner also used flail. Swiping, biting, and kicking at the Liepard. Though from his position, the persian couldn't do much, he focused most of his effort attempting to kick the enemy felines legs out from under it, giving him a chance to squeeze out of his grip and retaliate and attempted to knock the cats jaws shut, hopefully preventing the shadow ball. The cat however, still felt the fresh wound on his hindquarters and the claws still dug into his skin, and every kick and twist made him mentally wince. Both the Trainer and Pokemon struggled against their captors. Aaron, managing to struggle his mouth free managed to shout out a short command. "Screech!" The cat again let out a loud screech, a high pitched kind of roar. Echoing across the walls of the stone cavern. From the Close proximity, the Liepard would be heavily affected, Or at least, That was what Aaron planned. Aaron himself grit his teeth and squeezed shut his eyes as the sound pierced through his skull. Hopefully however, he'd have a chance at breaking free of the Umbrans grip as they recoiled from the sound as well. Intending to break free one arm before elbowing the one in their stomach. Then turning to catch the others face against his fist. Banner however had only the intention of escaping the Liepard's clutches. Maybe batting a claw at him as he pushed away to put some distance between him and his foe, but careful not to let his eyes of the shadowy feline for even a brief moment. ((Only just occurred to me that in the game Shadow Ball wouldn't affect persian, but of course this isn't really the video game.)) Edited by RedHero, Feb 20 2011, 11:06 PM.

(( Fail of the day: using Shadow Ball on a Persian. ;-; )) Liepard fastened her claws into the Persian's shoulders, even as the equally forcible feline flailed within her grasp. Blood was visible on the leopard's yellow rosettes and stomach, meaning that in the midst of his mindless slashing and biting, Banner had inflicted some serious damage. The female cat, however, seemed to be blissfully unaware of the potentially disorientating wounds over the course of her slender body. Only when the Classy Cat Pokemon unleashed its Screech attack did the Liepard release him, her ears pinned flat against her head to try and offer some protection from the boisterous sound. The cat let out a loud scream, instinctively rolling away from Banner to try and avoid the blunt of the blow. The damage was clearly done, however; the normally stalwart leopard was shaking her head frantically, obviously disorientated from the Screech. Meanwhile, the two grunts that had been assigned the task of capturing Aaron were ducking down to avoid whatever consequences the Screech would have, temporarily allowing Aaron to avoid their grasping hands. Then, as a result of the reverberating Screech attack, the stalactites grouped at the ceiling of the cavern began to tremble and quake. Then, one after another, the needle-like structures began to rain down, presenting an obvious hazard for Pokemon and humans alike. Immediately, the two grunts, whom had narrowly avoided being impaled by one of the spears, ran towards the cave's exit. The other grunts in the group followed suit, even dragging along the incompetent grunt that had been shot in the head and his fainted Glameow. The only Umbran to remain stationary was, of course, Malina. Watching the stalactites crash down and splinter across the battle field, the woman merely smiled. Liepard remained in front of the Persian in a battle ready stance, even as the crumbling structure of the cave deteriorated around them. Unconscious of the danger the falling stalactites presented, the ebony feline rushed forward, her entire body taking on a black aura. As before, her sickle-shaped tail and claws hardened as she moved in for the Night Slash attack, simultaneously slinking around rubble and falling debris. The cat moved lithely, quickly, slinging her tail and claws in unison aimed for that common target for feline Pokemon; the throat. "Give up, little boy!" Malina's sickeningly sweet voice called out over the rumbling debris. |

That might not be a bad Idea, Aaron thought as the falling stalactites crashed to the ground around him. He quickly looked around the blackness for a way out, but there wasn't much he could do as his persian and the Liepard were still locked in battle. More hearing the debris fall than seeing it, He shifted nervously. He certainly wanted to cut this match as quick as he could, before his luck ran out. "Move out of his way. Use Faint Attack!" He called over the echo and rumble of the crashing stones. "Then let's get outta here." As the Liepard made his way towards him, Banner faded out once again. Aaron hoped his tactics weren't turning sour and predictable. Banner quietly moved around the cascading debris before reappearing towards the enemy cats side, careful not to be too close so that her tail would immediately catch him, and Slashed at her sides, before turning away and running towards Aaron as quickly as the wounded cat could muster. Assuming all went as intended, Aaron hoped to be able to slip through the cave before the Umbran woman could attack them again, but with bits of the cave crashing down around him and his pokemons wounded condition, it wasn't unlikely she could catch him before he escaped. Still, he felt this would give him a better chance than continuing the battle in such a dangerous cave. |

Without any sense of inhibition or restrictions, the bleeding Liepard was willing to die with the Persian in the cave so long as she could inflict more damage to him. The feline let out a screeching snarl, pouncing forward to try and give chase to Banner, only to have Malina call her back, much to the Ill-Natured Pokemon’s dismay. The cat narrowed her eyes, watching as the boy and his cat escaped the cave, and dove back towards her trainer. The two females then ducked back into the safety of the corridor that had previously been in before the fray, free from the falling debris. And just like that, as quickly as the battle had started, it had ended. |
