Blake has been sitting in his Umbran quarters, he was finding pokemon to be fascinating. They seemed to be powerful tools he could squeeze, bend, and force to obey his every whim. Dervish, what he named his Sneasel after he learned that Pokemon 'like' having names. Blake thought that the pokemon didn't have to like him personally, but it gave the thing motivation. He wasn't going to start to give these little shits what he didn't give human beings.

After Blake took the book from the Umbran library, Pokedex, the Complete Pokemon Encyclopedia. v5.0, he started to read on the 'little shits' there were many that were worth twisting and turning. Sneasel the least of them however. From his readings he found something though. A pokemon called 'Aerodacyl.' He is reading how wonderfully strong this monster was. "Aerodactyl's preferred method of killing its victims is by tearing through the throats of its victims with its serrated, saw-like fangs." Blake repeated from his book, "That could be useful..." "Aerodactyl is capable of flying at great speeds and tearing through prey with its fangs." He continued to iterate from the book, "and the list goes on..." Blake flipped off his back onto his bum. Resting his arms on his legs. Continuing to think to himself from interest in the odd beast, "How can I find this thing, nothing this beastly can exist!" One minute later he realized he was perfectly right, "t is widely considered to be extinct, and is only found by resurrecting it from the Old Amber." Blake read from the book. Blake laid down in his bed and squeezed his head. "This can't be possible!" Blake yelled in his little accommodation, "How could they dare taunt me with offerings of this magnificent pokemon, but there not be a single fucking one left!" Jumping up from the bed "God dammit!!!" Blake yelled, slamming his backhand into the lamp smashing it onto the floor. "Nothing goes right does it!" Blake continued to scream. His glasses fell off, his bright red irises shining in anger. His nostrils flaming, "That fucking scientist better have a damned idea where to find this Old Amber." Blake walked quickly over to his big iron door. Grabbing the handle he threw it open. The door smashed into the wall. Turning around, he picked up his glasses and put them on, looking around to make sure no one saw his irises, he ran out. Down the hall he looked like a bull. The bandanna covering his face, glasses covering his eyes, and fedora over his forehead, what you could see, nose and cheeks, were rose red. You could almost see the air blasting from his nose. Clearly told by his long pitch black hair blasting away from his nose. People staring at the furious man rushing down the hall. He was still stomping, unable to control his anger. They had to look up to him, everyone was so puny to him. Some even cowered in fear.

Coming up to a door clenching his fists. "Enter At Your Own Risk" the sign read, but Blake didn't care, he was as brave as he was insane. Swinging open the doors he yelled. "Scientist!" Blake exclaimed not knowing the scientist's name, "Where the hell are you!" Moving across the room, his head was far below his hunch. Finding a book on the table, Prehistoric Pokemon of All Regions was the name of the book. "That scientist isn't here...at the worst time!" Blake said to himself, holding back from screaming this time, "This book however. That other book said Aerodactyl was a dinosaur...This book must help." Blake began to read the book, "Mt. Stella..." Blake murmured under his breathe. Grabbing the book off of the table, Blake shoved the book into his trench coat. Fixing his sunglasses he walked off.

After walking for hours and hours Blake finally arrived at Mt. Stella. Kicking a tree with his combat boots in fury, "Fucking Hell!" Blake yelled collapsing onto the floor after using the last of his strength with his fury, "I'm never going to walk that distance ever again...." Blake was about to pass out from exhaustion. Reaching into his trench coat he threw out Dervish's pokeball. Smacking onto the floor it opened up. Releasing Dervish in the red flash. Dervish stood and waited for orders, taking no shit from Blake, not wanting another beating. "You...you're going to keep guard while I watch, and you're going up with me on that mountain. You have to be exhausted too, you're not going to be cozy in your damn pokeball the entire time." Blake ordered Dervish, and before Dervish could respond he fell asleep.

The next morning Dervish was keeping watch still. Sitting, leaning on a tree. Blake woke up to the chirping of Pidgey in the trees. Kicking up to his feet, he picked up a rock and threw it at the tree with them in it. Smashing a Pidgey out of the tree, it fell and scurried off. The rest flew from the tree, far away. "Shut the hell up!!" Blake yelled. "C'mon Dervish, we're finding that damned Old Amber. Dervish and Blake started to walk up the side of the mountain. Shimmying across ledges, jumping small gaps, and when the tiny pokemon got in his way, like Rattata he simply kicked them off the freaking mountain. Blake, even after being rested, walking, and scaling, for a day he was still rushing in a frenzy. Dervish was having a hard time keeping up. He started to resort to jumping across everything, Blake was basically running. Finally, at the top of the mountain, there was a small plateau. Blake saw a pokemon along with two other people. Blake identified one of them as the scientist he heard about.

Although he still didn't know his name he shouted, "You!" pulling out the prehistoric pokemon book and pointing to the scientist named Xaviero, even though Blake himself didn't know his name, with the book, "Scientist! Tell me where I can find a damn Old Amber. This book says they're on this mountain!" Blake waited for the answer. This was Blake's version of 'being polite' ever since he turned bitter. If he was really angry...well he wouldn't seeing as this man is his superior.

The noise of the Rock Slide tumbling down the mountain caused the Italian to wince a bit, but before he could call out any commands, the rocks were blocked by the Mr. Mime. So, Blake could be useful after all. Good to know. Now hopefully, he would be smart enough to continue blocking the archaeologist's attacks. Xaviero sent a quick glance to his Houndoom, clearly telling her that enough was enough and it was time to drop the rabid facade.

Hanabi returned the glance with one of disappointment, sitting down next to her trainer and deciding to busy herself with sending subtle threatening glares toward Sabia and her trainer. Accia and Gin continued to stand on the other edge of the ledge, blocking the safest exit off of the cliff.

Xaviero looked at the necklace in hand and back to Xalander. "You want to be civil? I believe that can be arranged." The Italian moved his hand to allow the necklace to dangle over the side of the cliff, chain wrapped around his fingers. "However, if you want this necklace, come over and get it yourself. Then we can talk, no? I am sure we have quite a bit in common. In fact, I had a fossil Pokemon myself for quite some time. What a good Kabutops Mika was..." He trailed off from his speech toward the end as he was once again distracted by memories of the life he was still so used to. "Unfortunately, there was an accident before I arrived here in Aerei, but that is of little concern to a busy man such as yourself. I have a picture I could show you. After all, no way to judge a successful reviving than to get a visual representation, is there? From what I've seen, this Archen was wonderfully revived. Truly an accomplishment to be proud of. Come over here and let's talk face to face like civil men of science." A nearly genuine smile crossed his features and Xaviero even moved his hand back to his side, changing plans mid-thought to one he believed would be much more successful.

Xalander stepped forward instinctively as he watched Xaviero dangle his precious necklace over the edge. He was about to comment on how civil the Italian was being when the latter mentioned a Kabutops. "You had one?" He inquired, eyes shining with childish wonder as he kicked up a bit of dust. For whatever reason his Archen responded with an annoyed squawk before hopping back towards him and jumping into the air; wings flapping. "I would love to see this picture!"

Immediately after saying this he jumped from his high perch, bouncing from one displaced boulder to the next, until he was standing at the edge before Xaviero; Blake, however, was far from forgotten. His once fossilized Pokemon kept a keen eye on that Mr. Mime and Sneasel. "Would you like to swap pictures? I've a few of my own from when each of my Pokemon were revived. My first one," here he was smiling contently as he pulled out his wallet from his a back pocket of his dusty pants; "was an Omanyte who is now an Omastar."

Quickly he opened the worn black wallet only for pictures to tumble down in an organized row connected to the wallet. The picture he pointed at was of him, maybe seven years younger, kneeling down with an arm over the smooth shell of his first fossil Pokemon. On the other side of the Spiral Pokemon was a ten year old Yuki, his eyes a mixture of blue and yellow, wearing that ever unreadable neutral expression; the boy had a Pikachu perched on his shoulder as well as a Pidgeot at his other side.

"What do you think of my first fossil Pokemon? The boy there wasn't impressed at all since the project of cloning was his. Can you believe it? A ten year old brought my Pokemon to life! All four of them! Yet he refuses to bring that one," here he gestured to the necklace still in Xaviero's hand; "back to life. Told me he wasn't interested in cloning Pokemon that aren't extinct." There was a pause as he let his audience look through the pictures. In each one there was a slightly older Yuki as well as a slightly older Xalander. The last two had Yuki appearing the way he did now, yet Xalander clearly had aged. "What happened to your Kabutops?"

Xaviero looked over the pictures with feigned interest that was suddenly sparked by the image of the boy that was easily recognizable as Yuki. As the other pictures were shown, he noticed how little, if at all, Yuki seemed to age. A bit of a frown slipped through his mask for a moment, only to be immediately disguised by interest. "That is very impressive for a ten year old! Now, let me see where that picture is..." He handed the archaeologist back the fossil as he began digging through pockets, looking for the wallet that would contain images.

"Ah, here it is," he muttered, pulling out a wallet and flipping it open with his left hand. A few seconds later and he had two images of Mika: The first in a tank following the successful revival of the fossil and the second a Kabutops in his lab in Johto, next to a large machine and computer. He turned the wallet around, offering it to Xalander. "Well, there was an accident in my workplace in Johto. Things weren't properly accounted for, leading to some unexpected outcomes." His words were loaded with bitterness at his misfortune back home.

"This is why I have come to speak with you. We require fossils. Surely, we can make a deal." That said, he quickly withdrew his right hand from his pocket, syringe held like a knife as he swung it with the speed and accuracy acquired from years of being a scientisst toward Xalander's neck. The attempt to inject the fluid into the archaeologist's bloodstream, should it successfully strike, would render the man paralyzed in moments.

Sitting there bored with Mr. Mime and Dervish, Blake was watching them as they shared their little photos. Scoffing at how much they cared about their pokemon, carrying pictures around. However, Blake saw that Xaviero's ruse was up, he didn't even realize it was a ruse! Blake stood up onto his feet and took out Dervish's ball. He opened the ball to return the weasel, "You're time is up you useless runt..." Blake said, "Mr. Mime go down there and box in the archeologist."

Mr. Mime jumped down on each side of Xalander. He was moving very fast, faster than Xalander could possibly comprehend. The barrier was thickening as the barrier shone in the light. Blake jumped down from the mountain. He was sliding on the rocky side of the hill. Sliding down, the dust was rising behind him when he reached into his trench coat and took out his knife. Mr. Mime opened up a hole so Blake could get in. Going into the barrier cage Blake stood behind Xalander. "Didn't forget about me did you?" Blake said into Xalander's ear, he placed his knife up to the small of his back, slightly touching it. "If you flinch you'll surely be paralyzed by the knife either way, or even better...dead." Blake muttered into his ear. Quickly clarifying, "If your bird moves an inch this is going into your flesh..." Blake said.

Happily he took back the fossil and held onto it tightly as Xaviero talked. Surprised, he threw his arm up, effectively dropping his wallet, and quickly blocking the syringe only to have himself caught by Blake. No unnecessary motions were made as he gave in to the fact that he was beat. "Fine. You two win." He could hear his precious flightless bird squawk angrily to which he tapped a foot at. Once again the Pokemon huffed and remained neutral.

Turning his eyes to Xaviero since the scientist was the only one of his two adversaries he could see properly, he quirked a brow with an intrigued intelligent glint in his eyes, he spoke; "what were you two hoping for, specifically?" There was a resigned frown on his lips as he glanced down at his wallet; the pictures still clearly seen. "I'm sure I can spare one or two- though how either of you will revive the Pokemon is beyond me."

Xalander must have experience to be able to dodge Xaviero's skillful stab with the syringe without being stabbed by Blake's knife. Chuckling, Blake realized his time was over. It was the best part of the kill at this very moment here. He continued to chuckle, "It's beyond you, how we're going to revive the fossils? Well...I'll give it to you, I may not seem like the scientific type. But do you know who we are? Of course not...you never will." Blake pressed his knife closer into his back, it started to cut his shirt, "You're useless now, and now...you're just waste. We're not leaving with 'one or two fossils that you can spare' we're leaving with everything..." Blake stabbed the blade into his back. The blood started to spill out from him. Ripping the knife out, Blake wiped the blood off onto his coat.

Placing the knife back into his trench coat Blake brushed off his hair and grabbed the Archen, along with his wallet. Looking through the wallet Xalander fell to the ground. He took out the money and flipped it in his hands, "Wow...this guys loaded." Blake said. Taking out the photos he had Blake simply threw them away. The Archen was trying to struggle, but Blake just kept tightening his grip, holding it with his entire arm. Searching through his bag, Blake took out what looked to be an old amber. The gold rock with the little insect inside it with the precious Aerodactyl DNA. "Ha, this is perfect...Took awhile though" Blake grunted looking up to the sky, it was already getting into late afternoon, "I got what I wanted, I assumed you wanted this little birdy here, so I grabbed it...Now grab what you want, all the fossils all the pokemon, whatever."

"Luckily, Dervish won't be flying off a cliff yet."

After Xalander's bloody corpse fell to the ground, Xaviero knelt down to reclaim the Mew fossil, safely placing it into the pocket that had previously been home to the syringe, which the Italian tossed to the ground next to the body. While he was there, he unclipped the belt containing the four Pokeballs belonging to the late archaeologist. Taking the first ball, he opened it in an attempt to return the Archen to her ball. The beam of light that should have taken the bird released a rather large Armaldo, which was returned as quickly as possible before it had a chance to see the body. The second ball proved more useful; returning the First Bird Pokemon from underneath Blake's arm.

"You have your fossil?" The Italian returned his Pokemon as well, with the exception of Hanabi. He lifted up the discarded bag, looking through the various fossils and Leaf Stones present in it. They could be useful at some point, so Xaviero chose to take them back to the lab. With a sideways glance too Blake, he let out a bit of a smirk. "Let's go. Forget the body. Nobody'll miss it." As Xaviero began to walk away, he noticed a few of the pictures that had drifted to the ground. On a whim, he picked them up, flicking through them to see which they were. The Italian scientist discarded the ones of the revived Pokemon, keeping two that showed a difference in age between Xalander but not Yuki and slipping them into the same pocket containing the Mew fossil.

"Of course I have my fossil" Blake said chuckling a little bit, "I guess I need to get this fossil revived...so I'm going to stick around a little more..." Blake paused for a bit, "Ah...that was wonderful." Blake was happy to have killed that arrogant bastard. Blake took out the pokeball of Mr. Mime. Blake thought of a name for Mr. Mime, seeing how well he did, he made sure nothing bad happened with his guards..."Alright return Ringleader." Blake said, awarding Mr. Mime its new name. The mime smiled because it was being called something other than freak. The red light flashed out from the ball and engulfed Ringleader. The beam made Mr. Mime dissipate into the pokeball. Blake started to walk after Xaviero with his hands inside his pockets. He stepped on Xalander's leg when going after Xaviero, he just kicked Xalander over.

((Hooray for thievery. Theft of my character's fossils, Leaf stones, and Pokemon approved. Blake is now around 3000AD richer. oO To which Yuki will want some~ 8D -shot- Good luck with that Archen.))

Suddenly there was a random ringing going on. It was a phone call. When Xaviero answered it, he realized it was Yuki on the line.
"Everything is here but you."
That said, the adolescent proceeded to give instructions as how to wander through the caves without completely disorienting oneself and to call him once Xaviero was at the entrance. Instructions complete, a silence ensued until there was a click. Yuki had hung up.
