Kuzumi had been working with his Crobat for a while now on trying to teach it to carry him around. So far, Corwin was capable of flying other Pokemon around; just not the trainer himself. Kuzumi and his team had left the Ruined Dojo sometime ago, to give room for his bat to learn the typical HM move called Fly, and so they ended up here on Mt. Stella. This was definitely a great place to learn to Fly and the martial artist turned to his Pokemon to encourage it. "Let's practice here; what do you think?" His eyes were shining brightly, as they usually did, and his signature cheery grin was spread across his lips. Everything would be worked out up here and the trainer was confident about it. "Ready for this?" Corwin didn't seem too sure about all of this. Yes he was capable of carrying other Pokemon, small ones like his Umbreon friend, but every time he tried to carry Kuzumi, it just didn't seem possible. There was a moment where he managed to move a couple paces forward before having to let his trainer down though. That was improvement, right? |

George took a quick look around where he was, the Gallade having teleported off by now back to his master in the labs below. Coral managed not to notice the scene change around her, still sniffing at George in a confused sort of way. He was still him, he still smelt of his usual self, yet he smelled like a pokémon at the same time and it was really confusing her. She seemed to manage not to peck at him, though. After having done that before the scalding was worth never doing it again in her life, so she wasn't about to risk it. What did catch her attention though was the sound of a Crobat and its soon to be rider. She was off without a thought, running over to find out everything she could about the source of the sounds, poking her heads up next to Kuzumi, chirping happily. The groan which came from just out of sight from Kuzumi quickly proclaimed the Doduo to be owned to the other trainer, even if George wasn't really in the mood for being seen right now. Not without some sort of self training first. His wings were tucked as close to his back as he could, tail wrapping itself around his leg a few times in some attempt to look like decoration rather than a real tail before very slowly he allowed his head to be spotted, trying to get Corals attention again to get her back by his side. |

Kuzumi was just about to clamber onto his Bat's back when the Doduo appeared and decided to watch him. Blinking in curiosity, the teen grinned widely down at it and was about to greet it when he heard a groan a little bit away. Looking around in search of the source, he decided to dismiss it at the moment and returned his attention to the unnaturally tiny bird. "Hi little guy," Kuzumi greeted happily as he squatted down to get a better look at the Pokemon; "you're unnaturally small for a Doduo. I'm Kuzumi and this is Corwin; what's your name?" Sure he wasn't about to understand what the little thing had to say, but it didn't hurt to introduce himself. Common courtesy and all that jazz which his ex-father taught him sometime ago. Movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention and so Kuzumi looked up to see George. Standing to his full height, the auburn-haired adolescent waved a hand in excited greeting. "Hi! I'm Kuzumi and this is Corwin; is this your bird?" Corwin, meanwhile, was fascinated with the Doduo. He had seen this Pokemon, not specifically but generally, before and was confused. Why was this one so little? Not to be rude, however, he decided to hover down as close to Coral as he could as he reintroduced himself and inquired the Doduo's name. This was an interesting distraction from his training. |

Coral seemed glad to have been noticed by nice people, cheering and moving up onto a slightly taller rock to she could get to a better angle than craning her necks to look up to Corwin. The answer to the conversation wasn't quite as you would expect, going something along the lines of: "I'm Coral." "No I'm Coral!" "I was first!" "Don't start this again, I saw him first, it's my name!" "I'm oldest!" This carried on for a long while until a small fight broke out between them (again). George sighed on being seen, trying to make sure nothing could be seen at any point as he brought himself out to more of the open. "Yeah, she's mine. I'm George and..." his voice faded as he saw Coral fighting with herself again. "Coral..." he groaned, seeming to be giving up on disciplining the bird. She didn't attack him, so she was safe enough for now. Everything else she could find out on her own. |

"George? Interesting name; I like the Doduo's name too." That said, he turned his attention to the two Pokemon only to catch sight of the bird's two heads fighting with one another. He laughed as he saw this and offhandedly announced "Unnaturally small or not, I suppose she's still as much of a Doduo as any if her heads still fight with one another." Kuzumi only knew this bit of information because of his minor time in Kanto. Speaking of Kanto. Kuzumi turned his attention to Corwin who was watching helplessly as Coral fought with herself. Getting the Bat's attention, Kuzumi motioned for his Pokemon to come over and the Crobat knew it was time to return to their training. "What brings you up here, George? Corwin and I are here to practice Flying." Corwin didn't know what to do as Coral began to argue with herself. He managed a "Coral is a nice name" before mumbling "Looks like Kuzumi needs me" in a tone of pure relief. At his trainer's side, he hovered low enough for Kuzumi to climb on whenever the boy decided to. |

Coral seemed to notice as Corwin flew off, instantly seeming to calm down, moving back over next to George, looking innocent and as though the fight had never happened. "It's getting them to stop that's the hard part. Almost impossible to make her stop, then when she does she never learns from it..." he frowned, kicking her lightly, though it seeming to just make her interested in his tail, prodding the appendage lightly with her beak, aiming to be as unobtrusive as possible. It wasn't a part of his clothing, she could see that easily from this distance, let alone the smell. She just wanted to play... "Flight training..?" George asked, chuckling at the irony. "Guess you could say I'm here for the same reason." he mused mysteriously |

Kuzumi perked up when he heard that George was here for the same reason. "Great! Let's learn this together. Any ideas what the first step is?" His blue eyes sparkled with interest as he waited for the older male's input as well as revealing how, exactly, the latter was going to practice. Even Corwin seemed genuinely interested in his concept. Surely George wasn't about to try sitting on Coral's back and attempt the move Fly? Trainer and Pokemon waited to see what was going to happen next; while they waited, Kuzumi slowly climbed onto his Bat's back and felt the ease at which his Pokemon held him up. This was the easy part. It was the flying that proved troublesome. |

"I'll be honest, I have no idea..." he admitted, Coral managing to pry Georges tail from his legs part of the way, one coil unravelling to leave a drifting end which was a little obvious to anyone who cared to look. "One thing's for certain, is that you aren't going to be any help at all." he groaned down at Coral, slapping her with the end of his tail lightly, her seeming amazed to see it move and starting to try and chase it around until he just gave up, unravelling the whole thing since it wasn't exactly too easy to hide any more. "All I know, is that this is going to be an interesting experience..." he mused, waiting for a reaction to the tail before he started showing off his wings. |

Kuzumi watched George's tail, obvious intrigue shining in his eyes, and actually stepped forward to get a better look at the tail. "Wow," he breathed, reaching for the tail to see if it was real; "mind if I feel that?" His phrasing was a bit odd, but he really did just want to feel the scales of that tail. "How did you get a tail anyways? Anyway I could get one?" Then he noticed the wings and the idea of George flying became clear. "Wings! Awesome!" Kuzumi cheered as he glanced over to his Crobat. "It should be a piece of cake for you to fly then." He grinned up at George; the boy was actually convinced that they would have an easier time with George than with Corwin. Corwin, meanwhile, was thinking along the same lines as his trainer, though a bit absently as he stared in shock at the older male trainer. Was George human or Pokemon? |

George seemed to relax quite a bit when he realised he wasn't seen as an insane freak of nature but something to be admired. his wings soon brought themselves out to full length and height, stretching a little from the effort of having previously been keeping them so close against his body. "I wouldn't recommend it.. You have no idea how painful it was, and I think the guy was doing his best to make sure I survived as though quite a lot of people didn't before..." he mused, not seeming really too happy with the amount of pain he'd been put through. "I didn't end up with a great deal of choice." he frowned, scratching absent mindedly at his upper arm until he realised the claws weren't too good on skin, even through the nice jacket he'd been given. "And I wouldn't say it'll be easy.. Only had these wings about... 15 minutes?" he asked, looking to Coral who simply shrugged in response. |

Kuzumi took hold George's tail and examined it. His hand brushed against the edges and he felt an incline making him blink. Holding up the tail to get an even better look, he recognized a symbol on it and grinned. "The guy that worked on you, did he have yellow eyes and usually appear apathetic?" If he was right about who did this to George, then Kuzumi was eager to set to the skies so he could scour the region. "If so, then it probably wasn't so much because others hadn't survived but more of he didn't want to disappoint you." Dropping the tail, he put the previous conversation on hold as he mused on George's just receiving his wings recently. "We'll make something work." Kuzumi smiled reassuringly. "First we need to see if your wings can even support your weight. Try to hover a bit." That said, Corwin flew backwards a bit so that, when George flapped his wings, he and his trainer wouldn't be hit by either wing. The Crobat was also guessing that there would be a powerful surge of wind produced and so he braced himself for the struggle at staying in one place in case George decided to face them and practice hovering. |

George paused on notice of the marking on his tail. Even he didn't know that it had been there before, but mainly just the mount of time he'd had them wan't nearly enough to be used to anything on his new body any more. "Yeah, sounds like him.. Yuki, think his name was. Can't really remember too much of it." he admitted, watching Coral seem to decide that Corwin would be a good mount for himself too, soon trying to jump up and onto his head to sit down. George glanced to him, thinking about how he'd flapped around a bit in the room before. He'd almost ruined the room for the papers and other random lightweight debris shooting around and he'd barely been trying. His wings flapped quite hard once, his weight seeming to have been lifted for the duration of it, but the design of them made quite clear that they weren't meant to be used for hovering in the sky but constant forwards motion, making it hard to get much else done with them but touching back down the extra few cm closer to Kuzumi and Corwin. "Not too bad..." he grinned, glancing to his wings with a mild happiness. |

Kuzumi held onto his Crobat tightly as the gust of wind buffeted him and his Pokemon. He was vaguely surprised that Coral hadn't tumbled off of Corwin's head because of that powerful flap of George's wings. Still, the boy peeked over at George with a wide grin. "Looks like they can hold you up." The young trainer motioned for his Crobat to glide over to one side and held on desperately as the Pokemon did so. Once they were off to the side and no longer directly before George, Kuzumi looked from George to the side of the mountain that appeared to be climbable. "Try gliding over to the wall," He instructed George before his Crobat turned to face the wall as well; "let's do this, Corwin." Corwin was just relieved that he actually managed to move to one side without dropping his trainer. Now that he was expected to glide towards the wall, the Bat felt a bit of panic. However, he would try anyways. It was a short distance and they were close to the ground. Couldn't be too hard, right? And with this in mind, the Crobat made slow progress towards the wall, trying to balance himself so that Kuzumi rested directly on the back with no leanings, until he found he could glide easily. Wasn't long before he had carried his two passengers over to the wall. |

Coral had managed not to fall off, but this was mainly something to do with biting onto an ear each head to make sure that she wouldn't in the easiest way possible. Wouldn't be too painful for the bat, but might be a little annoying when she attempted to repeat the movement to make sure she didn't fall mid glide too. Oh the wonders of not having arms to hold yourself up with. George glanced down to the wall they were aiming for, not seeming to be looking too happy with the idea of trusting his 20 minute old wings, but by the amount that he could fall he wouldn't get too badly hurt if he did. Had to start somewhere sometime otherwise he'd never get off the ground. He took a few deep breaths, looking over to see Coral cheering him over happily from where they'd managed to cross with what seemed to be relative ease. His wings extended, him jumping up and forwards to try and gain some momentum to get him across, the wings doing their best to keep him in the air, he gliding across using his tail for stability, the fins spread out to help keep him in the air. It was when a light breeze came from somewhere and helped to get him a little off course he started to realise quite how sensitive the the wind he was in the air, how light he'd become and how little it took to make him fly. He landed next to Kuzumi in quite possibly the least dignified way possible, but he landed, tucking his wings in some attempt not to be blown off the mountain. |

Seeing as how George had reached him, though the random soft breeze did manage to move the winged human a bit of course briefly, Kuzumi nodded approvingly and gave a thumbs up. Next he looked up at the wall, guessing it wouldn't be too high, he tapped his Pokemon's side thoughtfully. "Alright, next let's go straight up and move onto the ledge above us." Corwin seemed to understand that command, though he dearly wanted to twitch his ears because of the tickling bites his Doduo friend had given him while is tried to stay atop his head. Soon enough he was flapping his four wings to lift himself as well as his passengers higher into the air. Slowly he turned around so that he would face the ledge he was to land upon. "At this rate, our crash courses will be complete in no time," Kuzumi called over to George as his relaxed his grip a bit. The boy was starting to get comfortable with the idea of relying on his Pokemon to carry him though he didn't like the fact he chose right then to start feeling comfortable. If he let go then he would slide right off and drop a few feet down. Still, there were no problems and the group soon found themselves a foot above the ledge that was their destination. Now they would wait for George while Kuzumi thought of another mini task for them to take on. |

Coral wasn't about to stop biting on to Corwin for as long as there was any sort of danger of her falling. She may be a flying type, but the tiny little stubs on her side which were known as wings managed to do even less than anyone would expect. "I only just got here..." George groaned, seeing Kuzumi flying off upwards to gain some elevation. the call back to do with the crash courses didn't seem to help either. "I'd rather not crash courses.. More flight and not crashing courses, please..." he mused, jumping off the area he had landed on, his wings stretching out, flapping to try and help gain him some height, but it didn't quite seem to be working too well for a short while until something new was tried. Using the small amount if lift hi had gotten, he swooped a tiny amount down to gain that extra bit of speed which seemed all it needed to gain enough momentum to sustain upwards flight for a short while, him grabbing on almost desperately to the wall behind the new ledge to make sure nothing else happened, though somehow he did feel like he was getting quite the hang of it. |

"Look on the bright side," Kuzumi laughed as he slid off his Crobat's back to help George onto the ledge; "we haven't flown into each other yet." He laughed, then, as he noticed his Crobat twitch a small wing because of Coral's biting. Kuzumi then looked up at the darkening sky. "Want to take a little break?" He questioned curiously as a cloud drifted by lazily. The boy's next idea was to fly down back to where they had met while pacing themselves. Once back where they met, they would take a break and resume the practice. His follow-up idea was that they would fly straight up from where they stood and see how high they could go before exhaustion hitting them too hard. This would test to see how long they could last during flight which would accurately tell Kuzumi how long each training session should be for the individual Fly users. But first, Corwin and George had to be ready to descend. "What about you, Corwin? Want to break?" The Crobat turned to him and gave a shrug to the best of its abilities. Corwin didn't seem to care what was done next as long as they completed their goal in the end. |

George just about got onto the ledge, sitting down to make sure he wouldn't be falling any time soon, his tail curling around him lazily, brushing past a few of the rocks there. "Break sounds good..." he mused, looking about to lean back and collapse to rest. It was still quite a bit of a shock to him what he was even doing in the first place. He had just been trying to go with the flow, but he knew it would catch up with him eventually. Wasn't quite expecting to have company when it happened though. Coral ended up jumping off of Corwin too, leaving the bat and his ears alone for a bit to make way for sitting on Georges head until she got shaken off and with nothing to grab on to ending up on the floor next to his tail, her managing to quickly start trying to play with it, trying to stop him from opening and closing the fins, chasing it around when it moved and trying to reach up to grab it when it was lifted over her head. |

Nodding, Kuzumi dropped to the ground quickly and was soon sitting cross-legged next to George. He also waved over his Crobat informing it that they were going to rest for a bit. Once Corwin was standing behind him, back to back, Kuzumi leaned against his Pokemon a bit as the Pokemon did the same to him. "Okay so." Startlingly blue eyes flickered from where they sat down to where they started. "We're going to fly back to where we started," saying this, he also pointed down at where Coral had found him and Corwin; "but we're going to go slowly, if you can. This is only to learn control and balance. When you were blown off course by a soft breeze, I thought about what would happen if you were dealing with stronger winds." Corwin glanced back at his trainer. He knew his trainer was quick to notice little things, but he wasn't aware the boy was quick to come to conclusions like the one just made. The last interesting conclusion his trainer had made was the possibility of using a Whirlwind to blow back a Dragonbreath. "When we finally land, and you're free to land when you feel you need to, we'll take another break." Kuzumi then stretched leisurely as he tilted his head back to peer up at the darkening skies. In the back of his mind, he recalled that his Umbreon would want to be let out of its Pokeball soon. "After that break, then we're going to fly straight up and see how far we can go, how long we can do it, and then return to land. That should tell us how long our flights will last. What do you think?" With that question posed, the martial artist then leaned his head to the side and looked up at George with shining eyes. A smile was playing on his lips as he noticed Coral playing with the winged-human's tail. |

George frowned slightly on hearing Kuzumis suggestion of trying things out a lot slower. He'd not really been feeling all too stable while he was flying how he was, the small burst of speed he'd managed to create to get up this high being the safest he'd felt with his wings the whole time they'd been practising. "Slower..?" he asked hesitantly, looking to the other. The see who could get the highest fastest thing didn't seem to worry him in the slightest though, just the slowing everything down. "Guess if you're sure..." he mused, looking down to where they'd come from. It wasn't too far away really, but the fact they'd be going as slowly as possible was worrying. He winced though as Coral seemed to have decided that his tail wasn't actually his, and that it was good to peck and scratch on as she saw fit to try and dig down and see what it was like. He growled at her, seemingly his whole look changing a little so he wasn't quite so kind as before, looking much more menacing as the dragon looked like he should have been, growling at her for a moment. It only seemed to make her stop pecking and scratching though, not anything more. Slowly George moved to stand up again, looking down to where they'd be going, keeping an eye on Coral who seemed to be trying to climb onto his back via the tail. "And we have a volunteer to go first.." he sighed, whipping his tail around, Coral ending up flying over first, unable to hang onto Georges tail. The tiny little things that might once have been wings on her side started attempting to flap, but it was clear that they weren't doing a great lot other than very slight directioning. She landed down on the ground where they were aiming for with a small bump, her clearly light weight enough for nothing to have caused her any pain in that happening, her simply sat there smiling up to them as best beaks can, watching and waiting. |
