Almighty Master of You All

A black smudge was all that anyone could really see though the giant white out that had enveloped the area. The idea of trying to find some form of dark coloured ice type could probably have come at a better time with the blizzard that she seemed to be fighting her way through right now. Everyone else was in their balls right now, her not daring to let them out in the cold. "At least black will be easier to spot amongst all the rest of the white out here..." she mused, looking around for any sight of a Sneasel to bring back with her. She'd worked out it would probably be the best thing she could spot out here without coming across any other strange mixes like she had before with that Ninetales and her young. A faint black fade in the distance caught her attention long enough to divert her steps, her pushing forwards towards whatever it was. At this point she barely cared if it were a pokémon or a cave, just as long as there was something. Shelter from the snowstorm would be preferable right now though. The black blob though turned out to be much too small for any cave openings, but the wrong sort of shape for a Sneasel too. Curiosity had her moving over, picking up the unconscious creature into her arms to try and get the creature to have some sort of warmth again. It was a Gible. Something she could never have even glimpsed a thought at being out here. The one element it is 4 times weak against and it sits in a snowstorm? Something had to be up. Either way, she had to keep it with her. The scientist in her told her not to change natural order, but common sense told her that the desert dwelling pokémon being all the way out here was anything but natural. She had to take it in. With the Gible stored under her coat, she forged onwards, looking for somewhere she could rest and hopefully get some pokémon out for heating things up around here. This pokémon needed help. It took about half an hour before a cave was spotted, though almost the same time again until she managed to get into it, the storm seeming to do all it could to stop her from getting to any form of shelter. "Taka, warm it up in here." she groaned, releasing her vulpix. He seemed all too keen to agree with her, producing all the fire attacks he had to make this area of the cave as warm as possible without any wood to make a stable flame. Iz groaned, laying down on the floor near the centre of the heated up area, letting the Gible stay rested on her chest inside her coat as she did what she could to relax and warm up. "Keep it up. You're doing great." she smiled to the young fox besides her, he not looking as though he were about to either way. It was too cold to be comfortable without it, plus the heat would probably help keep any wild pokémon away. They were ice types for Petes sake, why would they head towards warmth? It soon came to be that Iz woke up. she wasn't too sure how nor when she'd fallen asleep, but she must have done at some point, if only for an hour or so. Taka had ended up curling up on Izs legs, not really so bothered about keeping the place warm once it was up to temperature, though the Gible had run off somewhere. She sighed softly at the loss of the pokémon she'd helped out, hoping that it hadn't gone straight out into the snow again, though it had to be said the snow storm had died right down, no more white out nor the extreme chill from before. She slowly got up, Taka seeming a little groggy to be woken before seeming to perk up, glaring down the cave that they'd ended up camping in, growling softly and a Nasty Plot naturally fazing through his body. "What's wrong?" Iz asked quietly, looking down the area before hearing a large shout and something that seemed similar to a war cry. "Lets go." she said quickly, rushing to her feet and heading down the cave system, closer to where the water which fed the lake were. It looked fantastic. There were all sorts of ice types all over the area, including quite a lot of mutations from Umbra of Crystal Onixes and other pokémon which while maybe not being ice type were easily able to withstand the cold. They all rested on small ledges which overlooked what seemed to be a more secret part of the Frozen Lakes area, an underground Frozen Lake which glistened with the rainbow from the small hole atop the area which allowed in light. Any snow which had made it in from before had already been dealt with by the pokémon. It would have been a complete haven, had it not been for a certain Gible screaming and shouting at a certain pokémon in the area. It was one she knew of before, belonging to that freak of Umbra who created none but similes to himself. It was 12.24, the Jynx/Octillery mix from Lunos team. Gible wasn't the only one opposing the freak of nature either, quite a few young ice types seemed to be in on it, though if it were a game that got out of hand, a usual hazing against someone who didn't belong or that it was an actual battle breaking out. Iz quickly moved as close as she dared, making sure Taka was right up close with her so not to get caught up in anything to watch and see what was happening. 12.24 wasn't happy at all to see the Land Shark pokémon anywhere near her. The fact that he'd managed to amass a small group to help him fight wasn't all too helpful either. Most of the small army were new and easy to manipulate though. It barely took a whip of her tentacles to get them running off back to mummy and away. Soon in fact all that were left was the Gible and one Sneasel. Sneasel used a Taunt on 12.24 sneeringly, not letting her get away with all the bullying of everyone else she seemed to think she could always get away with just because of her previous master. Gible let loose a Dragon Rage, trying to blast back the pokémon, though each of them seemed a little nervous. It had been a good plan to try and kick out the evil one to start off with. Sneasel had started it and recruited nearly the whole cave, even getting a few pokémon to leave the area and come back with new recruits like Gible. Just it only really works when people stick to the plan instead of running off and letting the tyranny continue. A Powder Snow blasted from 12.24, her aiming right for Gible, seeming to know the weakness he held, but Sneasel soon jumped in, slashing away at the snow, barely letting any of it hit either of them. "Taka, Ember at the Jynx thing." Iz murmured quietly. "Don't hit the other two." she said, Taka seeming a little confused but unleashing his flames over at the mutation. Gible and Sneasel quickly turned around, looking to what was the cause of the flame. In fact most of the cave seemed to turn to look at Iz as she confidently strode towards the pair which were the only ones left daring to fight any more, Taka following happily, glad to be in th3 centre of attention where he deserved. Gible seemed to be amazed, but gleeful of what he'd seen. The girl that had saved her, and now she was helping out again? Sneasel seemed a little more wary of her, though seeing Gible so relieved did help her to trust her. "12.24, how nice to see you again." Iz mused sarcastically. In truth they'd only met once, but just from that sight of Lunos pokémon it was clear that none of them had a good cell in their bodies. "Terrorising more societies? How nice of you. Think it's time for you to stop." she spoke simply, 12.24 glaring at her. She reached in for an Ice Punch on the girl, but Iz simply stepping out of the way, Taka letting loose another blaze of Flames in Ember form, adding in a simple Confuse Ray to stop the mutation from forming new plans quite so easily. Gible and Sneasel seemed to see this as a chance, Slashing and Dragon Raging at 12.24 as much as possible, getting the pokémon to what might have been knees had the tentacles had any. "You're leaving now." Iz said calmly, not really caring for what happened to 12.24. She was an unnatural creature disturbing the peace in a society of ice types where she didn't truly belong. Gible ran over and hugged Izs leg as best it were possible with the stubby little arms that were all he had, Sneasel seeming a little out of place until Taka gave her a small nudge towards Iz as well. Was the safest place for anyone to be. 12.24 didn't look happy at all. This wasn't fair in the slightest. She hadn't chosen any of this, and now she was being kicked out? Well fine then. She'd make her own frozen pond. Maybe it would be in the middle of Cerebral Clearing too so she'd get her own personal private habitat. No point staying here any longer. She stalked off, ignoring the slightly excited sounding murmurs running through the caves. Iz smiled slightly, picking up Gible and Sneasel, looking really quite glad. "You two were amazing." she said, seeming quite honest. "Not kidding. I know what that one's like. Probably taken a long time just to get to that point, and even then it's probably been a long, long while. Especially you, Gible. Coming all the way out to the ice area, despite how much I know you must hate the cold?" The two in her arms seemed to get quickly quite shy, looking to each other with a hint of embarrassment at being so highly praised by someone who could make the demon bully of the caves run off so easily. "If you want you could come with me..." she mused to the pair, them seeming awed. Gible seemed to instantly jump at the chance, but Sneasel not so sure. She looked down and away, not seeming to look like she deserved it. "Come on Sneasel. Last ice type left fighting for your home, protecting those around you and working things out like you did? You're not someone who can hide away now. You're amazing too." she smiled, moving to exit the caves, not caring for the amount of others who were still watching her in disbelief. Sneasel seemed to slowly come around when the group got back to the outside, looking out on the area. Snow lined the ground, completely untrodden by anyone since the storm had stopped, a few light flurries still falling on top. The sun shone down on the area, seeming to make it extremely bright for anyone to look at. Taka ended up hiding behind Iz, not liking the brightness so much after the dark of the cave, even if the cave had been glistening. Sneasel reached out, seeming to be using her claws to try and use as a sun shield for both herself and Gible. "Moment we're out there, you two get to be in my team, that okay?" she asked, Gible seeming glad for it, Sneasel a little hesitant, but nodding with a fainted smile. Iz stepped out into the snow, wincing as the light hit her eyes for a moment before she blinked a few times to help get over it. She slowly started to make her path back to the main island. "Welcome to the team, Atakama and Kira." she mused, glancing to the newly named Atakama the Gible, and Kira the Sneasel who seemed quite happy with the names as they were carried off to the new chance at life. Taka followed after them, not seeming happy about not being carried, and not being the centre of attention any more. Oh well, he'd get over it. |
