With a Lucky the little blue Delibird waddling by his side, Jason made his way to the bottom of the mountain. He looked at it and then laughed. "Lucky... I don't think we're climbing that." Lucky looked at it and then to Jason. He thought Jason was being rather chicken and lazy. He started flapping his wings like a chicken, pecking the ground, and scretching the ground with his feet. He was mocking Jason and laughing his little mischievous laugh. Jason immediately tackle-hugged Lucky and began laughing. They were rolling around together and mock wrestling. "You're gonna pay buddy!" |

The mountains stretched high into the sky, shielding the sun's rays that tried to warm the cool ground. The shade felt nice as Cypher and Elektrike wandered around rocks and dirt mounds on their way to the foot of the mountain. There was a light breeze this afternoon, it carried the scents of a human and a pokemon to Elektrike's nose, making his nostrils flare. He communicated his findings to Cypher in low grumbles, something was ahead. Cypher wasn't bothered by this, he came here for business with Elektrike. Though Elektrike's response made him smirk, he was never the type to notice such little things. Maybe the new environment had him on edge? He could feel that the mountain was crawling with pokemon, had they fled because of him and Elektrike? Or because of the strangers that were also occupying the mountain? Cypher pondered this as he enjoyed the breeze whipping his bangs around on his forehead. |

Jason felt the chill of the cool breeze on his bare legs. It would have been cold had he not been wrestling with Lucky. Lucky stopped wrestling as his surprisingly good eyes spotted a human and his pokemon walking. They weren't close, but they weren't incredibly far away either. He squirmed underneath his trainer and started tugging at his shirt. "Deliii." Jason looked at Lucky and then stood up to his feet."What's wrong? Do you sense danger?" Jason laughed as Lucky was making a present. The famous grin of mischief was on the penguin pokemon's face. Lucky grabbed the present and stood up. He waddled towards the other pokemon and his trainer. He waddled rather fast because he didn't want Jason to catch up and stop him. He came across the odd looking green pokemon and it's trainer. He looked up at them and handed them the present. "Deliii!" Jason started sprinting. His Delibird waddled faster than he could run. It was rather annoying actually. When he saw the little troublemaker hand the present to the strangers, he cried out. "Noooooo! Don't open it!" |

Elektrike's hackles rose as the Delibird hastily approached him and Cypher. He didn't look to Cypher, in fact he didn't care for his opinion on the situation. Stepping a few paces forward to Cyphers side he observed the Delibird and his trainer. Taking into account their goofy personality, but also how thoughtless they were, not even considering if they were dangerous or not. They appeared so suddenly that Cypher had trouble responding. What? A Delibird and a trainer? And a present? His eyebrows furrowed as he questioned the spontaneous actions occurring at this moment. What're Delibirds again.. "Hmm.." Cypher took the present. Feeling the wrapping beneath his fingers, listening to the crinkly noises as he flipped it around. Tugging lightly at the silver bow that was lazily tied around it, ignoring Jason's warning. Elektrike anticipated the worse and wandered back a few steps. Sitting quietly next to a hole in the mountain, letting his deep green eyes lock onto the group. Boom! A puff of smoke rose from the present. Covering the area in a smokey haze. Cypher's eyes squinted as the present exploded in his hands. His nose twitching to the smell of sulfur. Ah.. Now he remembers, thats what Delibird's presents do. Coughing into his elbows he waved to the pokemon and trainer. "Nice play." he commented, putting his hands into his pockets and shooting a glance to Elektrike who calmly watched. |

The redhead wearing sandals came to a stop near the Electrike and his trainer and tried not to laugh. "Lucky! You're not supposed to do that!" The sheepish grin on Lucky's beak showed everyone that he knew it was wrong but he also knew what he was doing. He flapped his wings and flew to a close by tree out of range of scoldings and whatever else may come. He landed on a branch and just busted out laughing. Jason had to admit that it was funny. He shook his head. "I'm sorry about that. I'm Jason and that little blue demon is Lucky. Lucky that he's up in a tree at least." He looked up to the tree where Lucky was. "You know I can sick Candy on you. She'd like to have fun with you from last time." Lucky rolled off the tree branch laughing. He flapped his wings to keep afloat in the air. "That's a really tough looking Electrike you've got there." He jneeled down to get a closer look at the serious-looking Electrike. "Desn't look like he was the runt of his litter, and definitely not the biggest. But that look in his eyes and the sheen of his fur... he fought the most, and won... didn't he?" Jason himself was actually surprised that he was able to see that, but he smiled. "My specialty is quirks. There are all kinds of different pokemon out there, but I like to see different personalities and different looks on pokemon. As you can see... I have a blue delibird. Which isn't even the normal color for the ones that they call shiny. I'm probably boring you. What brings you around here?" |

Cypher shook his head as the wind messed his hair up, black locks falling in his eyes. Sighing at his failed attempts to fix his hair, he shrugged it off. He watched the Delibird fly to the tree and enjoy itself. Examining it's blue color as Jason mentioned it, becoming more alert to it's wild movements, especially when he rolled off the branch. Redirecting his attention back to Jason he nods "Yeah, sure. He's pretty complicated but strong." Cypher could see the look in Elektrike's eyes. He was bored and wanted to start what they came here for, to train and test Elektrike's abilities. Elektrike shifted his position and rose his head, looking away from Jason. He was displaying a perfect example of his dominant personaility, dismissing Jason from observing him. "I'm Cypher. We're just wandering." He kicked the dirt at his feet, not bothering to introduce Elektrike as he had no nickname anyways, and probably wouldn't prefer the extra attention. Cypher frowned at his vague response. "I suppose we're actually just looking for trouble." he managed to form a wry smile taking slow strides towards Elektrike, stoping at his side and looking down to him. Nodding to Elektrike's grunt of approval. "You here for the same reasons?" Cypher asked, leaning against the steep side of the mountain. His gold eyes glinting in the sun as it slowly rises over the mountain. They strayed from the group and surveyed the land, still pretty barren and quiet, aside from the new company. (sorry i gotta go to school so this is all rushed n stuffs~) |

Jason wasn't shy at all. He was actually happy to talk about whatever he was doing. "Actually... someone told me about a peculiar SHinx in this area. She told me it was tiger-striped and that it breathed fire. I want to capture it and study and raise it. But capturing it requires battling it... and I'm really inexperienced. Hey! Maybe you can battle me!" Lucky waddled over to stand by Jason's leg. He was surprised that Jason prompted the battle. He wanted to fight and was ready. His mischievous grin was telling the others that he had a great big present waiting for them. "Deliii" "But before you say yes... I need your help." Jason took the waterproof bag off his shoulder and set it on the ground. He was rifling through the contents. He found a bunch of things throughout his short journey, but was happy to have received two CDs. One was yellow and one was light blue. The light blue one contained Ice Beam. He wanted to teach Lucky, but he had no idea how to work it. The yellow one contained Thunderbolt. He tossed the the yellow cd to Cypher. "Show me how to use it and you can teach that to your Electrike. I have the technical machine that I want Lucky to learn. I've only had one teacher. Her name is Emily. She taught me breeding. Nobody taught me about training. I never went to Professor Redwood to get my first pokemon. He didn't show me the basics. Wow, stop me when I ramble like this. So, are you up for it?" |

"Tiger striped and breathes fire?" Cypher echoed. Now that sounded strange, what pokemon could it possibly be mixed with? Hearing the description of it's appearance made him wonder what the personality may be like. "Hah. Well you certainly seem determined." he chuckled, looking to Elektrike. Watching the canine pokemon's brows twitch and lips tighten before standing to all four paws "Elektrike wouldn't mind a battle." Cypher caught the CD and circled it in his fingers. Examining the yellow shine reflecting back on him. He bit his lip as he rethought how this might turn out. Letting his and Jason's eyes meet he scratched his head. "Lets see.." he mumbled, shooting a glare towards Elektrike. "We'll help, your pokemon can practice the new move as we battle." Elektrike protested. Thin lines of gold pulsing over his body. "Hes fine." Cypher pointed to Jason's bag, "Get your Pokedex out." At the same time he retrieved his from the side pocket of his messenger bag that was snugly resting at his side. He flipped the top panel open and waited for Jason to get his out so he could walk him through setting up the TM. A hard sigh came from Elektrike, his toes curled in the cool dirt beneath him. Releasing before trotting to Cypher. He wasn't enjoying this just yet. |

Jason already had his backpack in front of him. He reached into his bag and pulled out a white pokedex with the outline of a red pokeball on it. It looked like the ones nurses carried on them. He had never used it before. "Alright, so let's see..." Flipping it open, he grabbed the his light blue technical machine and fed it into the slot on the side of his pokedex. A program seemed to open up and it confused him. He wasn't good with technology. "Uhhh, okay. What do I do now? It's beeping at me." Lucky was peering over Jason's shoulder, having climbed up there a long time ago. The shininess of the item had him enthralled. He was squirming to get it in his hands. "De li lili!" "No Lucky, this is mine. We'll find you a shiny of your own, sounds good?" He smiled when Lucky hugged his neck. "Maybe you could teach me how to use this thing too." |

Cypher slipped his yellow disc into his Pokedex, watching many windows pop up and feeling the device grow warm in his hands. He walked towards Jason with Elektrike at his heels. He took a glance at Jason's pokedex, confirming that he wanted to teach the move ice beam and skipping past the description of the move. A tutorial started playing on Jason's pokedex. It showed a starter pokemon, Piplup, focusing it's energy and concentrating hard on it's target, a small tree. Below it there was text that described what was happening. When you continued it, the Piplup was strengthening it's stance, getting in correct form. Then it let out a thin ice beam that shot off into the distance. Again. And again. The guide demonstrated to Jason how at first, aim and power won't be too impressive, but over time that will be perfected. Cypher remained quiet as the tutorial played. As it ended he pointed out to Jason "Lucky will have to concentrate harder, because Elektrike is a moving target.." he paused. "But with this terrain, even if the attack misses and hits the ground, it could cause it to frost over and create trouble." Cypher hinted, smirking. That would make him happy, if someone was tactical like that and used that to his advantage. Cypher leaned over Jason again, pressing a few buttons, going slow enough for him to watch just what he did and how. He then tipped Jason's pokedex down slightly towards Elektrike. A green meter appeared on the screen. Telling them Elektrike was at full health and was currently not suffering from any status effects. "Your pokedex can read the health and conditions of any pokemon, I'm sure you'll find this useful especially when you try to catch your Shinx." Stepping back towards Elektrike, facing him, he looked down to his little companion. He had read over the instructions and already knew what to do. Spinning around to Jason again he shrugged. "Got it?" |

The hyperactive blue delibird was already off of Jason's shoulder. He was focusing power into his beak. An aura of ice energy was surrounding his beak. An eruption of raw power seemed to escape his beak. It was a zig zagging beam of ice. It was fired off like a shot gun and Lucky's head recoiled, causing him to fire the ice beam into the trees and up the mountain. He ran around in circles happy to have done a new attack. Jason had just barely ducked being frozen by Lucky. You could say that was super lucky. "Lucky! You did it! Let's battle Cypher and Electrike." Lucky stopped right by Jason's side and suddenly had a fiery look in his eyes. He just got a new attack and was ready to cause all kinds of mischief with it. "Deliiii!" He looked like he was ready for a battle. "I think I got it, Cypher. Thanks for helping me out. Now... prepare for battle!" Jason to a couple steps backward so that Lucky was in front of him. |

(LC, you need to teach actually training Lucky Ice Beam. It's not a case of plug in CD and it's automatically learned ;3 You can have him start to create the Ice Beaminess now and use the battle to hone it into a useful and more accurate attack and such, but it's gotta be more than what it is currently) |

((I know. Notice that the Ice Beam actually had a recoil and completely missed where Lucky was shooting it... if he was shooting it anywhere. The way I'm playing it... is that Lucky has an abundance of energy cause well... Delibirds are extremely hyperactive. He'll have no problems with the power. He'll have all the problems with the accuracy. I had it planned out, I promise. ^.^)) |

Cypher observed Lucky's display of his new move, ice beam, growing confident seeing that the pokemon had very little control over the power and of the move. Rolling his head to the side he lazily looked down to Elektrike, who was watching Jason step back. Communicating to Cypher in little huffs and hisses that he could handle the bird and not to worry. Cypher wasn't worried anyways. Elektrike stepped forward towards Lucky, slow, heavy steps, throwing his weight side to side. Green eyes narrowed as he placed his feet in a thin line. His stance starting with one foot in front of the other. He awaited Delibird's first move. Cypher extended the mic off his headset as Elektrike set himself up. "You've got this." He spoke under his breath into the mic, Elektrike's receiver around his neck picking it up and relaying the message. Elektrike's head lowering, giving a slight nod in acknowledgment. "Ready!" Cypher called out to Jason. |

"Alright Lucky, this is it. You know what to do." Jason was confident with his Delibird's abilities. He kinda just figured Delibird knew how to fight. He suddenly became surprised and tried to hide his face in his hand. Lucky formed the ball of ice energy on his beak. His eyes spoke leagues of mischief that he could do with his new attack. He grinned brightly at the Electrike that should be saying his prayers. The beam was launched from his beak, but instead was shot into the leaves of the trees around. The beam stopped, but Lucky rolled backwards into a tree. He stood up all dizzy-like. "Lucky! Not that attack! Use your present. You have that one mastered!" He shook his head, wondering what the little bird had been thinking. |

Elektrike kept in his spot as the ice beam shot off into the air. As the beam thinned and came to a stop, Elektrike dashed in a semi-circle shape towards the bird, moving in from his side. While the bird was standing up from the ice beam that rebounded his power, Elektrike slid on the rough ground beneath him, sending a cloud of dirt and dust towards Delibird. A few rocks included, too. Elektrike would prowl to around the back of the tree, waiting for the dort to settle so he could set up a thunderwave. His tail twitched from side to side while his green eyes stared hard through the thick dirt that was now starting to settle. "Perhaps use leer on him, then try your thunderbolt." Cypher suggested calmly through his mic, watching Jason coach to Delibird. |

Lucky took flight. His little wings flapped rapidly to move away from the tree and to get his bearings straight. He didn't see the Electrike so was desperately trying to find the green pokemon. "Deliii!" As Lucky was trying to take flight, he was nailed with a barrage of dust and rocks. He shook it off and spat the dust from his beak. "Lucky, it's alright. Try flying up again and see if you can spot his Electrike." Jason was surprised to be giving Lucky orders, but it almost felt like it was his job. He smiled, seeing Lucky actually doing what he was told. The little blue delibird spotted the green pokemon. He reached into his tail pouch and grabbed a present. The penguin pokemon took flight again and tossed the explosive present at the little electric pokemon. |

Elektrike watched as the bird sprung into the air, his lips pulling back in a snarl. Orbs of green hue narrowed in on the present that dropped from the sky towards him. Throwing his head back and widening his stance, a sphere of electricity flowed to his parted mouth. Forming in nearly seconds. But the present fell fast and Elektrike overestimated the height at which it fell, the wave of thunder releasing from his mouth as the present hovered above him. The thunderbolt was weak and held very little power after he shot it, barely even sparking the present, but enough impact to set it off before falling into him. Instantly dropping to the ground as the present exploded, skidding him back a few feet and covering him in soot. He stood tall and shook it off. His front legs shaking as they took quite a blow. Ears standing erect towards the Delibird as he surveyed what was available to his use. "Scare him." Cypher's words sent Elektrike into action. He leaped back a few feet and grounded himself. "Rrrrggh" Elektrike hummed as the yellow energy poured into his mouth again. This time he sent off many little bolts of thunder, not allowing the power to build up to where he couldn't control it. Sparks landing and bouncing everywhere and in all directions. This was alright too, as they were all in Delibird's general direction. He hoped to scare the bird with the sudden barrage. |

Lucky the Delibird was surrounded by little sparky explosions of electricity. He was freaking out. His flying became sporadic and he was actually electrocuted from one of the little sparky things. The reason that flying types hate electricity isn't because it does twice the damage to them. It's because it jerks their nerves and body parts around, making them uncontrollable and unresponsive. And contrary to poular belief... being shocked does not sustain a pokemon in the air. The pokemon is getting shocked while falling to the ground. And the real reason flying pokemon are especially weak to electricity... Lucky the Delibird smashed into the ground. Blue feathers and dust shot up around him. Lucky slowly stood up, dizzy and walking in zig zag lines to nowhere in particular. "Lucky! Are you okay?" Jason was worried about the crash into the ground. He would have laughed because Lucky looked like he just stepped out of a cartoon, but he saw how much damage it actually did to him. Shaking the dizziness off, Lucky took in a deep breath. He didn't quite have enough control over his body to start flying yet. A ball of light blue energy formed on his beak once again. zig zag beams of ice energy fired from his beak once again. He aimed at the ground as his designated target. As the ground froze over with some trunks freezing over as well, Lucky was launched into a tree from the sheer power that he controlled. He was slammed into a tree and dropped on the ground. Lucky groaned, but with an incredible stubborness, dizzily stood up. "Deliiii" |

Elektrike tensed as the bird fell to the ground, ready to tackle him through the dust that shadowed the area. To his surprise Delibird had recovered and stood, and was getting ready to fire another Ice Beam. Elektrike shot a look to Cypher before returning his attention back to the bird. With the ice appearing to fire towards him as it raced through the air, he leaped to the side in an attempt to dodge it. But the beam wasn't aiming for him anyways, it collided with the ground and covered it in a sheet of ice that formed as Elektrike landed. His legs splaying out as he lost his footing and tumbled trying to regain traction. Taking slow steps towards the bird pokemon, he advanced towards him with keen eyes, staring Lucky down with Leer.. But he slipped! The ice below him made his legs shake and slid him forward, nails clicking on the ice trying to stop. He lost eye contact with Lucky and his Leer failed. Kneeling down onto the cold ice so he wouldn't screw himself over further by launching himself right into Delibird, his body started to radiate again. Yellow sparks crawling all over his body, sizzling and cracking. They continued to build as he readied himself to use Thunder Wave. "Let me know when he's had enough." Cypher advised to Jason. Jason had helped them and Cypher really didn't want to hurt the pokemon too badly. Elektrike had the full intention of claiming this battle, though. Elektrike could feel Cypher's eyes burning into him. |
