With a Lucky the little blue Delibird waddling by his side, Jason made his way to the bottom of the mountain. He looked at it and then laughed. "Lucky... I don't think we're climbing that."

Lucky looked at it and then to Jason. He thought Jason was being rather chicken and lazy. He started flapping his wings like a chicken, pecking the ground, and scretching the ground with his feet. He was mocking Jason and laughing his little mischievous laugh.

Jason immediately tackle-hugged Lucky and began laughing. They were rolling around together and mock wrestling. "You're gonna pay buddy!"

Lucky was happily laughing. The icy ground made it really easy for him to move around. He started skating on the ice. He lept into the air and did a triple axle. "Deliii"

Jason was laughing. "Lucky, you're battling. Don't forget that! Cypher... I don't think I could stop Lucky if I wanted."

Lucky the Delibird became serious again and looked at the sparking Electrike. He made a present on the ice and skated around it. "Dede!" He kicked the present hard so that it was zooming towards the Electrike on the ice.

There was no avoiding the present as it sped for Elektrike. He braced himself for the explosion, trying his best to build up the charge for his Thunder Wave.

The present slid into him, exploding on contact and sending him sliding. Spinning. Elektrike moved in rapid circles as he slid on the ice, becoming very unsteady while trying to stop. A rock. Elektrike rolled in the middle of his sliding onto a rock. Scraping himself up at the rough collision. Taking his time to stand and ruffle his spiky static-y fur, shaking sparks everywhere. Turning to face the bird again, he charged a Thunderbolt. Yellow energy swarmed into his mouth, a sphere of light being created. His body shook as he summoned more power than he could hold.

Once blue sky was filled with golden rays as Elektrike released the attack. No matter how hard he tried to aim for the bird, the pressure forced him to the ground and shot the Thunderbolt skyward. It flew high into the air, crashing into Mount Stella and causing a few rocks to tumble down to a lower ledge and create a disturbance.

Elektrike grimaced as he fought to push his body up off the ground. Though he didn't put any pressure on his front left leg as he held it to his body, huffing. He stood with 3 legs, trying to find his balance, trying to think of what he was to do now that he was stuck on this rock in the middle of an ice field.

Seeing the massive thunderbolt rocket off into the air, Lucky blanched. His face looked pale. If he got his by that thing... he would be roasted penguin and most likely be put on a rotisserie. He imagined that and panicked. His skating was thrown off by his sudden panic. He tripped over his feet and slid, his body spinning to make hm dizzy.

Jason watched as his little delibird crashed into the ice. The worsts part was when he came to a stop right in front of the Electrike. Lucky suddenly became the present that he loved to give. And he was sure there would be some explosive results.

Lucky slowly looked up. The first thing he saw after he lost his dizziness was a pair of pointy pearly whites. "Deliii!!" Lucky tried to scramble out of the way, but he merely slipped. He didn't have the grip of the ice that he had when he was standing up.

Elektrike's head followed the Delibird as it slid towards him, to the point of where Elektrike was nearly looking directly down. Thats how close Delibird had come to him. More white daggers were revealed as his lips pulled back into a snarl. "Rrrrrrggh.." Elektrike hummed, warning the Delibird of what was to come.

His body lit up once again. The current of energy spiraling around him, the sparks twisting dramatically as they jumped off his body and faded into the air. Throwing his head back he charged after the Delibird, leaving the rock and pouncing on the ice. It was cold and slippery, but Elektrike had met it once before. He slid as soon as his paws made contact with the ice. Pillars of steam rose around him as the thunder that covered his body rained down on the ice..

Propelling forward with his back feet, launching him in an arch over Delibird, he released a Thunder Wave below him to the bird. Now behind the bird, he landed with force. Digging a backfoot into the ice to prevent him from sliding, then attempting to Tackle the Delibird with all of his strength.

Lucky watched helpless as the Electrike jumped over him. The eletricity built up in the Electirke surrounded the little penguin pokemon. He could really counsider himself little compared to the Electrike though. Why he was worried about size when bolts of electricity were running through his body was a mystery in and of itself. His whole body was spasming . He cried out in pain. "DELIIII!"

Jason winced watching Lucky get electrocuted by Electrike. It made him sick to his stomache to watch Lucky go through that kind of pain. "It's over. Great match Cypher. You're a good battler." He walked over to Lucky and picked him up. He felt the electricity still flowing through Lucky. "You did a great job too Lucky. I've never seen you act like this. Do you like to battle?"

Lucky smiled weakly and nodded his head before closing his eyes and falling asleep in Jason's arms. "You'll be alright. You're tough." Jason looked up to Cypher, smiling. "You wanna stick with me while I search for that tiger striped shinx? I could help you find a pokemon too."

"Heh.." Cypher looked away shyly, feeling a bit embarrassed as Elektrike was still roaring to go. The small canine's eyes shifting side to side, paws shuffling a bit in place, he felt ready to take anything on. "Sure, we can stick around. Might be some interesting pokemon around here." Cypher peered at Delibird in Jason's arms, then to Elektrike who was still covered in dust and soot. He called Elektrike over to them before gazing over their surroundings. The sun bleached the ground and had started to cause the ice to turn to a muddy mush. The breeze that was blowing had stopped and it was starting to get a little hot.

He tripped a little as he started to meander, lightly tugging his pants up a bit to avoid the problem again. "Maybe we should explore higher up?" Cypher said this as he started to look up the mountain, suddenly feeling a little intimidated by the steepness. Elektrike grumbled, staying neutral on the subject. Of course Cypher was sure Elektrike had his own perfect plan.

Jason watched the anxious Electrike before putting his hand on his christmas-themed pokeball. "He doesn't look like he is ready to quit battling. I'm not going to use my next pokemon... it just wouldn't be fair." He released his pokemon. "Come out Candy!"

She had grown quite a bit bigger since he has had her. She was now fourteen and a half feet long and thicker than she was when he had first received her. She was candy cane-colored, having alternating red and white rock segments. She looked down at the tiny Electrike and its human. Then she looked to her trainer and smiled. "Oooonnn!"

"Candy, meet Cypher and Electrike. They are going to travel this mountain with us. I figured you would enjoy coming out here. We are looking for some pokemon to join our teams. Think you can help us?" Jason walked up to Candy and placed his hand on her rocky skin. "We're gonna go up there." Jason pointed up the mountain to show Candy.

"Don't worry about it." He approached the wall with Elektrike at his heels. He put a foot on the steep slope, feeling his foot lose leverage when he applied even slight pressure, making it slide down and causing a chain effect of rocks around his foot to fall as well. He kicked his foot back to the ground as Elektrike leaped a few feet to a small ledge, beaming to Cypher in an arrogant manner. When all Cypher did was roll his eyes, Elektrike furthered himself up the wall.

His small paws gripping all of the traction they could from the thick terrain beneath them. "Ekkkk." He declared, he was now at eye level with Candy. He didn't feel so small anymore. But from this height there was new views on everything. His green eyes squinted as he evaluated the land, spotting a packed path up the mountain a little further down the wall. That would certainly make this journey easier.

Thud.

Elektrike spun around to face the wall. He threw his head back and looked straight up it, drawing his lips back as he grew flustered. Something hit him. But he could not make out any shapes atop the slope, the sun's glare increasing the intensity while it stung his eyes. In an attempt to shrug it off he directed his attention back down to ground level.

He jumped down from the hill, back to Cypher who was looking over Candy. When Cypher noticed Elektrike return near him he commented that Elektrike probably didn't know enough attacks to give him an advantage if they were to try and battle Candy anyways. He was oblivious to what was occurring on the ledge.

"See anything good Elektrike?" Elektrike turned and nodded in the way of the path they were following. He gained a concerned look from Cypher that lasted only a few seconds. "Alright then.." He trailed off. He could feel Elektrike grow anxious. "Well Candy, Jason." Cypher addressed the two "There must be an easier route up the mountain further down. How 'bout we check it out?" he smiled. This was going to be some of those cliche adventures that everyone goes on.

"Sounds like a good idea to-" Jason had started walking with Cypher when he felt something from his back pocket. THe vibration and sudden noise made him jump in fright.

"Meowth. The Cat Scratch Pokemon." It was a computerized voice coming from Jason's back pocket. "It is fascinated by anything shiny. When it sees something shiny, its eyes glitter brightly."

Before Jason could even turn around, his back pocket had been slit open with a fast swipe. His pokedex fell out of his pocket and into the hands of a Meowth. There were actually two of them. They looked at the humans and then back to each other and ran the opposite way that the humans were going.

"Hey! Come back here!" Jason had just been pickpocketed. And he now had a slightly cold butt. He looked to where the Meowth had run off to and saw nothing. He looked to Cypher. "Think Electrike could sniff those Meowth out? I need my pokedex."

The sudden speaking from the pokedex made both Cypher and Elektrike jump. Elektrike immediately reacted aggresivly, his green hackles bustling. Cypher had just tensed up and then relaxed, he tapped his foot on the ground to gain Elektrike's attention. Feeling a little chilled by the cold stare he received. "Up for it?" he asked the pokemon, giving a weak smile in Jason's direction as the canine pouted and groaned. But soon stepping back along the path they once came, in compliance with Cypher. "He can try."

Elektrike's ears perked up as he lowered his snout to the ground, nostrils flaring as they absorbed all the scents. His steps were precise as he began to follow the trail. The path zigzagging quite a bit and then he stopped. Looking back to Cypher and Jason, he gave a small yip to alert them that he was on the trail.

Cypher took a light jog to Elektrike as he strayed away, following the Meowths. Watching for any sign of the Meowths as Elektrike tuned into the cool ground for their whereabouts. "Pesky cats." Cypher muttered, raising a hand to shield the sun from his eyes.

Jason watched as Candy slithered around very snake like to turn around. He was rather amused at her movements. It was actually beautiful. But he didn't have time to be amused. "Come on Candy, let's follow Cypher and Electrike."

They followed Electrike, since Cypher was merely following too. Jason noticed tufts of fur and Meowth paw prints on the ground. This seemed to be a high traffic area for them. "Cats aren't so bad. After all, I gotta capture me that tiger-striped Shinx. If I ever find it. Do you know what kind of pokemon you're looking for? Obviously not a feline."

He watched as the Electrike stopped near a cave. That must be where the Meowth took his personal Pokedex. "I bet it's in there."

Cypher shrugged as they came to a halt near the mouth of a cave. "Cats are fine, however these particular ones.." He squinted, trying to make out any shapes in the cave. "I am not fond of." The darkness in the cave stretched back into a black hole, only a hint of light could be seen at the entrance of the cave.

Elektrike stepped to where the sun flooded the cave, his eyes glinting in the darkness. "Ekkk.." Streams of electricity raced around Elektrike's body as they flowed to his mouth. He sent out a Thunderbolt into the darkness, setting off a golden glow that lasted only a moment before the sparks were grounded. He shot a look to Cypher, agitated that he couldn't provide a better light source.

Then he disappeared.

Elektrike bounded into the darkness, the faint glow from the electricity bouncing off his fur was enough for him to follow. He was fast, leaping over rocks and spinning himself as he made turns. The canine pokemon led himself in circles as he desperately tried to follow the cat's scent. But it was everywhere, heading in all directions, he felt as though their scent rubbed off on him as well. He had a hard time differentiating between scents in this cave. Worst of all, he had plummeted himself into complete darkness. There was no faint light, no opening to fresh air, no Jason or Cypher. He remained confident.

More electricity started to build up over his green body, radiating himself in the darkness. But this set him up for trouble as he would stick out like a sore thumb. Paranoia grew over the canine, he reacted aggressively, emitting a beam of thunder from his mouth into the darkness. He stood still as the darkness enclosed him again..

"Hey!" Cypher called after Elektrike as he eluded into the darkness. He bit his lip as his eyes wildly darted around looking for the pokemon to appear again. His hands gripped the strap of his messenger bag, fingers prying at it. "Gah." He breathed, he had been holding his breath the moment Elektrike took off. His feet shuffled, coating his black shoes in a thin layer of dust. He fought with himself, he knew that Elektrike could hold his own. However part of him doubted this especially if he was faced with two opponents. "I don't mind." He finally replied to Jason, "Anything that isn't as stubborn as Elektrike." his lip started to hurt as his teeth pressed into it. He stopped at the light taste of blood.

The cave was dark except for the front and the area around Electrike. They wandered deeper into the cave. Before they went into the cave, Jason called back Candy. They needed an easy way out, so having an Onix in here would be too difficult. He released the blue Delibird from his pokeball. "How are you doin Lucky?"

"DELI!" Lucky couldn't see a thing in this cave. He grabbed on to Jason's leg and waddled with him before adjusting to what little light Electrike was giving off. He was finally able to release Jason's leg and waddle on his own.

Jason's eyes were used to the darkness finally and he was able to see easier with the subtle light from the Electrike. A loud noise made Jason turn around.

"RHYDDDON!" At the front of the cave, a rhydon collapsed. It was attacked by something and was blocking the entrance of the cave.

"Looks like we won't be going out that way. I hope you're into spelunking." Jason smiled as they continued into the cave. Deeper in the cave they came across a lighted room. In the lighted room was a bunch of shiny items. Some valuable some not. Jason's pokedex was in there. As they walked into the room. They heard someone talk to them.

"Intruders, don't move or I will crush your bones."

When Jason and Cypher turn around, they'll find that a Toxicroak speaking human was behind them with two Meowths.

The crashing sound from the Rhydon made Elektrike jump and dart further into the darkness, he abandoned the group as they struggled to follow him. He ignored the lighted room, slinking beneath a rock as his deep green eyes stared out into nothing. He watched Cypher and Jason enter the lighted room, standing and about to alert them to where he was. Thats when he heard an unfamiliar voice which silenced him. Ears stood erect on top of his head, straining to listen to the voice. His paws stretched out in the dirt while he pulled himself out from under the rock. All the little muscles in his face twitching as he assessed the situation.

Cypher blindly followed Jason and Lucky while they tried to track down Elektrike. This place was dark and creepy, all the sudden sounds and movements pulling at his nerves. Additional to all of this, their only known exit was now blocked and the air started to grow colder as they continued through the cave. His eyes were adjusted just enough to the darkness to make out Jason's smile. Cypher stumbled over indents in the ground, flailing his arms out and regaining his balance. "Ehh.. We'll find figure something out.." He spoke quietly, trying to hide his doubtful tone.

When he saw the lighted room he wanted to avoid it, it's placement in the cave wasn't to bring relief to those who are lost. In fact, as they stepped into the room it became apparent that they weren't welcome. There were piles of items scattered across the rocky floor, seemingly separated into piles that were small, big, shiny and round. Cypher spied Jason's pokedex in a pile to the far left of the enclosed area. The walls of the space were twisting around them.

"Intruders, don't move or I will crush your bones."

Cypher turned to see a Toxicroak with the two Meowths following him. Cypher drew his hands up as if he was preparing for a fight. I will crush your bones, he mocked the Toxicroak in his mind. He wasn't even stunned at the fact it was speaking. "Ohh?" Golden eyes rolled as he questioned the Toxicroak, his lips curling into a slight smile.

Elektrike fed off of Cypher's actions. Cypher had caused just enough of a distraction to let Elektrike creep up a few meters behind the three strange pokemon, he remained hidden and out of the light, watching his partner jump on the problem. Elektrike laid down in the darkness, his body hugging the ground while he stalked the group and waited to launch an attack.

Jason blanched when he heard the Toxicroak talk to them. He never imagined a pokemon being able to speak to humans. He knew that even with Lucky and Electrike, there would be no way they could take on three pokemon with one of them being fully evolved. "Um, you can talk? I mean, you can speak human?"

"No, I can't speak human. It just comes out human." The Toxicroak marched up to Jason and looked at him. The two Meowths didn't even bother to move. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't crush your bones."

"Those Meowths stole my Pokedex. I just came to get it back." Jason felt weird having a four foot pokemon telling him that he would destroy him. But he figured this pokemon could back up his words. "Plus that Pokedex is useless to you. It will annoy you."

"it already has. But maybe I'm not being clear. What will you do for me?" The Toxicroak seemed like he'd done this before.

Elektrike observed as the Toxicroak stepped away from the Meowths to approach Jason and Cypher. This was his chance. Elektrike crawled along the ground silently, he edged nearer to the Meowths, reaching out a paw to fling a rock at the back of one then hastily returning to the darkness. He heard the rock click against the ground. Missed. But maybe it caught their attention? He waited a few moments to see if they would turn around.

As the Toxicroak came up to them Cypher spat "You're just so tough, aren't you?" He shook his head, taking a step that put him in between Jason and the pokemon. This situation amused him, he refused to be controlled by a /pokemon/. "Now now, step aside and we're going to get his Pokedex, then you can continue your little shpeel." Cypher was grinning as he spoke these words, looking Toxicroak up and down.

Jason almost choked when he heard the words come out of Cypher's mouth. We were in their home and he was practically begging for violence. "Whoa there. Don't be so hasty. We don't need to fight." Jason had to say something before Cypher foolishly decided that a fully evolved pokemon would be easy pickings. He pulled Cypher back to his side with a sheepish look on his face. "Sorry Cypher, I know you want to fight... but we need to be able to do it on a battlefield that isn't stacked against us. We don't even have any place to run if we can't handle ourselves."

The Toxicroak glared at Cypher before looking at Jason. "You are rather smart for a human. Let us hear your non-violent solution."

"Well... I don't really have a solution per say. You want us to do something for you. We haven't the slightest idea what you would need help with." Jason locked eyes with the Toxicroak. He wanted to keep him from thinking of violent solutions. "Maybe you can give us an idea."

While Jason was talking to the Toxicroak, Lucky slipped away from the group to check out the shiny things. He wandered back into the room because he was bored of the conversation. The blue penguin wandered through the junk. There weren't as many shiny things as he expected. Bending over, he picked up a shiny round thing with a hole in the middle. He remembered Jason using one to teach him his cool new ice attack. He put it in his tail pouch. It wasn't shiny, but he knew Jason would like it.

Toxicroak put his hand on his chin and thought about it for a moment. "Actually... I'm tired of speaking human. I swallowed some shiny metal thing on accident. If you can return me to normal, I will actually give you your pokedex and a treasure of your choice."

"Hmmm, I need to think about this." Jason was actually putting thought into how he could help this Toxicroak. "You have any ideas at the moment, Cypher? I'm going to need to think about this."

Elektrike grumbled as the Meowths failed to notice him. They were too caught up smirking and snickering as Toxicroak bossed the humans around. He stood up and walked straight through them, throwing his green body from side to side as he passed them. The cats glanced at each other and mewed to Toxicroak, alerting him of Elektrike as he joined the group. Elektrike plopped himself next to Cypher, who then tripped over him as Jason pulled Cypher away from the Toxicroak. He bounced back and out of their immediate area which caused him to back up into a mound of items.

His green eyes caught something moving in the back of the room. It was the bird. Elektrike's canine head tilted as he watched Lucky sift through a pile. The Toxicroak was busy with Jason and Cypher, perhaps he wouldn't notice.. Elektrike snooped around, his destination being where Lucky was. Looking over all of the items he passed as he made his way to the bird, he stopped just a few hops short of Lucky's position. A small shine was coming from beneath a jar. Elektrike nosed the jar away, revealing the shimmering magnet, little sparkles danced on its metal surface as it reflected his big green eyes back at him. Elektrike grabbed the item in his jaws and softly pulled it out of the pile, causing a chain reaction of more items spilling down to fill the spot.

Still. He stood very still. Eyes shifting around to look and see if any noticed. At the same time he felt stronger, Elektrike could feel the current of electricity circulating through the magnet and back into him. His teeth gripped into the magnet as he absorbed the charges. The tingling felt good.

Cypher gave a wave to Elektrike as he was pulled into him. A silent 'sorry'. Then gave his attention back to Jason and the Toxicroak. "How in the hell do you accid--" he was cut off by Jason who was desperately trying to get them out of this mess. He took a moment to think and rubbed his hands together, having a disturbed look on his face. "Uh.. I cannn.." He rolled his hands in each other now and idly stood there as Jason put the spot light on him. "I can try pulling it out..?" Cypher offered, trying to help.

The toad obviously didn't seem very keen on Cypher's suggestion but didn't really feel like waiting around for Jason to come up with something. "Fine." He croaked blandly, removing his hand from his chin and letting it hang at his side. He was suspicious of Cypher and made sure to let him know this by how closely he watched him.

Cypher inched closer to Toxicroak, telling him to open his mouth by making motions with his hands that looked similar to a pacman chomping down. Toxicroak was at first confused by this, but quickly complied. The frog's large mouth stretched open, the red bulge on it's neck expanding as well.

His appetite was lost as he peered into the pokemon's mouth, wanting to taunt the Toxicroak, but the smell that wafted from him was sickening and the last thing Cypher needed was to lose his hand. Cypher took a deep breath while rolling up his jacket's sleeves. He closed his eyes and tried to picture 'happy' thoughts before plummeting his bare arm down the frog's throat. Once his arm was in the toad's mouth, all he could think of was wet, slimy, and goopy things. Slugs, vomit, algae, that foul smelling dinner his mother use to make. All of these flooded his mind as he reached farther down into the frog, feeling around for the device. "Ah..!" He exclaimed. His fingers curling around an object that is very foreign to the respiratory system.

Then there was a small tumbling sound coming from the back room.

Cypher gave a worried glance to Jason as he noticed both Elektrike and Lucky were missing and probably the cause of the sound. "Uhh. Oh.." He tried to distract Toxicroak from the sound. "So like.. I'm going to pull this out, okay?" Cypher slowly slid his arm and the device back out of the pokemon's throat, taking his time and still speaking to the pokemon. "And.. you probably shouldn't swallow more stuff, I don't think I will be here to uh.. save you.. next time." Cypher's arm emerged out of Toxicroak's throat with a dull metal box in his hand, that at one point in time was shiny, quoted from the Toxicroak. He dropped the device on the ground, a thick goop of slime rolling off his hand with it. He nervously laughed sliding his hand on his silver jeans, the fabric rubbing a bit of the saliva off.

The Toxicroak smacked his lips together as he shut his mouth. He let out a small hum and a few grunts. He lazily looked around, still a little curious as to what that sound he heard was, but waved it off. "Crrrooak." The frog's deep and scratchy voice echoed in the room, Cypher had successfully removed the item.
