As Maxulus and Spinda got out of the forest, they started heading towards Brevis Village. There, they would get a chance to find some other trainers and battle them. However, while heading there, the duo listened to a passenger saying something about a pokemon that was very rare to the village to another passenger. The two of them were speaking about a Land Shark Pokemon! That sounded amazing! Maxulus did not know what that Land Shark Pokemon could be and from the name of it, it seemed to be pretty awesome. Along with Spinda, the trainer decided to search for it at the outskirts of the village. Battling a trainer was something common, but searching for a rare pokemon with such a cool epithet was not. While out of the village, the two friends started training. Apparently, after getting out of the forest, Spinda was training Trick Room more and more. Moreover, the sound the two would make could draw the attention of the Land Shark Pokemon. Although that was a plain plan, it was the simplest one Maxulus could think of to draw the attention of a pokemon he had not seen before... As soon as the two friends stopped, Maxulus said to his dear Spinda "Okay. Let's start training Trick Room!". Without losing any time, the pokemon agreed. Soon, it started manifesting its psychic powers into creating the bizarre room. It had taken a strange stance and its eyes were still closed. The move was so hard to master... It was very difficult for the pokemon indeed. However, if it wanted to become a strong pokemon, it had to grow through this. After trying this for around three minutes, the pokemon finally managed to create the room. The trainer congratulated the pokemon for the creation of the room and gave another apple to it in order to thank it. Now, he only hoped that while Spinda would be eating its apple, the land shark pokemon would appear in front of them and ask for that battle. However, instead of the Land Shark Pokemon, something and actually somebody else appeared right in front of the trainer's and the pokemon's eyes. Apparently, that person was another trainer with casual clothing. He wore a pair of jeans, blue trousers, a cap and a long blue jacket that was closed. The man had a cheerful look on his face. He said "I saw you training that Trick Room... And I wondered whether you want to battle me or not. Are you interested?". Maxulus thought about it for a while. He did not know what to do. The Land Shark pokemon did not seem to appear at the place and he wanted to test the Trick Room on somebody. That trainer was the first trainer he encountered after teaching Trick Room to Spinda. He had to accept the challenge... And so, the trainer nodded, accepting the offer of the man. The battle between those two was about to start. The trainer of the spot panda pokemon and the spot panda took their positions. The opponent, who looked determined to win no matter what, took his position as well. He said "This is going to be an one versus one... And I am going to use my newest pokemon against you..." as he threw a pokeball towards the ground and made a Gible appear. Maxulus looked at the pokemon. He had never seen a pokemon like that before. He raised his pokemon and moved it towards the pokemon's direction. He read "Gible the Land Shark Pokemon. It attacks using its huge mouth. While its attacks are powerful, it hurts itself out of clumsiness, too.". Impossible! That pokemon was what he had been searching for and according to the trainer, he had recently caught it! That was unacceptable! He was too late! The enemy got the pokemon first! However, despite that, the trainer calmed down. The battle was a perfect chance to see whether the Land Shark Pokemon was strong or not. As the battle was about to start, Maxulus pointed towards the dragon and ground type pokemon and said to Spinda "Start with Tackle!". Then, the pokemon started running towards the Gible and slided on the ground while moving its right leg forward in order to kick Gible with the attack in the face. Gible's trainer, though, had a plan. He said to his pokemon "Catch it with your mouth!" and Gible opened its mouth and caught the right leg of the spot panda with its mouth, blocking the attack completely. Then, he said "Now, use Dragon Rage!" and from the close distance, he striked the Spinda and damaged it. Spinda was blown several meters away and damaged. It would not give up, though, as the battle had just started. Instead, it stood up and looked towards the opponent's pokemon with a determined face... It would continue the battle to show its strength to the Gible! "Do not give up, Spinda!" Maxulus said as he looked at the pokemon getting up, prepared to keep up with the battle. He pointed towards the Gible with his right hand and said "Okay. You can do this! I believe in you! Use Copycat!". Then, the normal type pokemon closed its eyes and concentrated on the previous move that the land shark pokemon used. Gible watched with surprise as Spinda seemed to be doing some things that were very strange, even for a pokemon battle. It seemed like it was meditating in the middle of the fierce battle like nothing was happening. However, that proved to be a decoy in order to give Spinda some time to get the move. As soon as it was done with copying the move, Maxulus said "Great! Now, strike with Dragon Rage!" and the pokemon launched a giant green ball from both its hands that striked Gible and sent it some meters backwards. With many scratches, Gible looked towards the enemy. It would not accept defeat so soon, too. It said "Gible!" as it launched a sandstorm attack from its mouth after receiving a command from its trainer. The sandstorm moved towards the pokemon with high speeds and if it hit, it would cause damage to the pokemon... That was a unique usage of the sandstorm. Unlike the most common uses, this use was actually much different as Gible concentrated all of the sand inside its mouth and launched a beam of sand out of it towards the enemy. Hopefully, though, Spinda jumped high on the air and dodged the attack, ensuring its safety. As soon as it was done, Maxulus said "Time to end the battle! Dragon Rage!" and the pokemon launched another ball from its hands that striked Gible on the head and caused its defeat. Spinda and Maxulus emerged victorious from the battle against the land shark pokemon and they did not even use their new move. That was really something! Seeing the horrible defeat of the Land Shark at the hands of Spinda, Gible's trainer said "You are pathetic!" with a smile on his face before he dropped Gible's pokeball on the ground, releasing the pokemon. Then, he started running away, before Maxulus could reach him. What a jerk. He abandoned his new pokemon just because it suffered a loss. That was not manly! He should not be acting like this! The biggest victim from that move, though, was Gible. The pokemon had done nothing wrong. It just lost because its trainer failed. It should not be treated like this. Maxulus thought "It is my fault... If it was not for me and Spinda that Gible would not be abandoned... And I do really want that pokemon! It looks pretty strong and interesting. Should I ask it to join me or not?". Then, he moved towards the Gible and said "Gible... I know you might be mad to me for the battle. But I was wondering. Are you interested in joining me and Spinda in our journey?". The Gible sighed. It did not know what to do. Originally, it would not accept the proposition but it was emotionally angry. It wanted to show a lesson the the jerk that dared to release it and so in order to get its revenge the pokemon agreed. As a result, the trainer picked up the pokeball the former trainer threw on the ground and said to his newly acquired Gible "Return Gible!" while returning it back at the pokeball. The trainer just got a Gible! |
