Micky landed with a thud in the undergrowth. "Thanks" he said to the Dragonite before it spread its wings and flew off. He had been on Trinxit Beach and seen the dragon pokemon staring out over the ocean like a stone sentinel. When he had first approached he thought it may have been a statue but sure enough, it was real. "Umm... Hi," he said nervously, "I'd like to go somewhere with water." The Dragonite gave him a look. It was obvious that it thought him stupid. It looked out over the water once again. "Oh. Yeah, right." How am I meant to talk to this pokemon? Like it's owner, or more like I'm placing an order for a burger? he thought to himself. "Some different water?" The Dragonite gave a weary sigh and gestured for Micky to climb onto its back. As he held on Micky said, "By the way, my name is Mi- WOAH!" and didn't get to finish his sentence as he was whisked away to 'different water'. Micky was still spead-legged on the ground, taking in his surroundings. When he had asked for water he hadn't expected a creepy looking lake in a creepy looking forest. The ground looked muddy and, to be honest, so did the sky. As did the trees. Mud, mud everywhere, nor any splodge in which to sink he chuckled at his own, obvioulsy, brilliant wit. He stood up and looked around, he had been wrong. There was a very large patch of what he had thought to be mud which turned out to be a body of water. It must be reflecting the sky he pondered as me walked over to it, dipped his hand bleow the surface, and, as he pulled his hand out, let the water water slide through his fingers. Pulling the pokeball away from his belt he said, "Come out and have a peak, Pudge." The plump Pidgey appeared, letting out a little cry of surprise as the talons on its feet sank below the surface of the mud. Micky laughed. "Don't be scared, it isn't deep. Now, fly up into the air. Let's see if there's anyone or anything to be seen around here." |

"Good to see you on your feet at last. Go on, I'll get up there with you." Micky took hold of the out-stretched hand and climbed up the vine. He sat on a branch next to Matt. "hey, it's kinda romantic up here." He nudged Matt as he said this and laughed, "But seriously, will you look at the face that Psyduck has on." Psyduck was standing in the lake with a look of hatred as it glared at Aggron. It began to trudge forward, clearly exhausted, but it wasn't going down without a fight. Although the Pokemon was in shallow waters there were no splashes to be heard while it walked. It seemed to Micky that there was a faint red orb around the Pokemon and the waters had been pushed away from Psyduck's feet and it was walking on the mud underneath. It was as Psyduck walked out of the lake, and onto the mud which surrounded it, that Pudgey decided to make another appearance. It started as a whistle. The sound of air rushing past the bulk of Pudgey resonated through the area. When Pudgey was in view there wasn't a pair of eyes in the immediate area which weren't fixed on him. Appart from Psyduck's which were still focused on Aggron as its rage built up. Unlickily for Psyduck it wasn't moving very quickly, and so Pudgey's trajectory was diving straight for it. Pudgey landed with a sound that could only be described as 'plurb'. It managed to miss Psyduck by enough so that, while it had not hid the duck pokemon, it had managed to send it flying towards Aggron's chest at a very troubling speed. Psyduck hit the metallic chest with a clang and slid to the floor. "Do you think it's safe to climb down?" Micky asked Matt. |

Matt watched the kamikaze Pidgey dive-bombing and then his face split into a grin. In response to the other boy's question he let go of the branch he had managed to clutch onto and then dropped stickily to the floor, making his way over to his metallic companion, patting him on the side. "Good job, buddy," he said, and then pulled out a pokeball to return him... but then on remembering the look in the Psyduck's eyes he thought better of it and left the Aggron out. He looked at Micky, and then smiled. "Well that was crazy," he said, and then scratched his head, once again smearing mud all over his hair. He took a deep breath of the surprisingly fresh air after the lake exploded all over the floor, and squidged to firmer ground, towards the trees and away from the water. "What now? You moving on somewhere new?" he asked the boy, looking around with some interest. He had never been here before. It was a strange place. |

"Yeah, most likely," Micky said as he climbed down from the tree, "I'm going to have to find some place where I can get tranqualizer darts for this guy. That's some power the little guy has." He took out a pokeball and caught the Psyduck. "I'm going to have to think of a name for him...her...it... how the hell do I have to find out what gender this Pokemon is? Oh, well." He looked at his Pidgey and withdew it into its Pokeball. "I had better be off. See ya around, Matty-boy." And with that he ran off in search of anywhere which didn't squelch underfoot. |
