While it seemed like a normal enough trek through the forest on their way to the nearest town (which looked to be Starling, according to the map), the silence within the forest was suddenly broken by the sound of a whip cracking somewhere in the distance. The trainer and her Ursaring looked at one another with silent hesitation, but continued on anyway. Sure enough, just a few feet off the trail, a trainer and her Pokemon were coaching in the midst of the clearing. She was positioned in the middle of the clearing, a Granbull on one side and a Krookodile on the other. Both Pokemon seemed to be riddled with various scars, most likely caused by the whip in the trainer’s hands. Although Hannah couldn’t hear exactly what she was shouting, it was obvious she was pitting her two Pokemon against one another; which was fine for all intensive training purposes, but did she really have to be training them with a whip and assertory threats? Furrowing her brows and frowning, the dark-haired girl proceeded to leave the trail and barge her way into the clearing, shouting over the other trainer’s whistle.
“Excuse me! Don’t you think you’re being a little harsh on your Pokemon?” When the Ace Trainer intentionally ignored her, Hannah stepped in front of her, pretty much forcing her to stop her yelling and acknowledge her. The woman, dressed in some sort of track suit adorned with whistles and quite a few badges from the Johto and Sinnoh regions, dropped her whip by her side, much to the relief of the sparring Krookodile and Granbull (though they wouldn’t dare show it for more than a second or two).
“Can I help you with something? Just so you know, you’ve already wasted 34 seconds of my training time. Please note that I usually don’t make a habit out of talking to, uh, novice trainers.”

Oh, hell no. At first, Hannah was just going to scold the woman for physically injuring her Pokemon, but now her temper flared when she had the audacity to call her a ‘novice trainer’.
“A novice trainer, huh? At least I don’t have to control my Pokemon with fear. Besides, you have absolutely no clue who you’re talking to. You know, since I’ve already wasted so much of your precious training regimen, it’s only polite for me to offer a battle to make up for that lost time. Shouldn’t be a problem, considering how much of a ‘novice’ I am.”
The Ace Trainer narrowed her eyes, mulling over the offer in her mind. Despite her intimidating front, she couldn’t help but feel a bit coerced by the gargantuan Ursaring towering behind the girl in pink. Still, the Ace Trainer nodded, promptly turning on her heels to walk to the other side of the clearing and take up her respective battle position, her Krookodile and Granbull following silently in tow.
“Alright, little girl, the least I can do is provide my expertise to a beginning trainer. Krookodile, get out there.” With a hiss, the Krookodile lumbered forward and flexed its forearms, glaring at the girl and her Ursaring.

“That’s your cue, Honey.” Hannah responded by sending Honey out onto the field, at which point the bear stood on her hind legs and bared her teeth (which had just been brushed that morning, because who goes into battle without fresh breath). Noticing right away that the Ace Trainer wasn’t about to go first, Hannah drew in a breath and uttered her first command, “Metronome.”
As much as going first put Hannah at a disadvantage, with Metronome, it worked out pretty well. Considering how Metronome was unpredictable and was hard to use as a retaliatory move, it was a good way to start out the battle. Even better was the move Metronome had selected; Shock Wave. It wasn’t an incredibly powerful move, but it was accurate. After doing that odd little claw wave specific to her, the ring on Honey’s abdomen started to glow blue, the weird mystical Metronome energy allowing her to use the move that Ursaring didn’t normally learn. Finally, a blue beam of electricity fired from Honey’s opened mouth, traveling through the air and striking the Krookodile.
Krookodile, evidently used to enduring pain, clamped its jaws shut and took the hit, allowing the electricity to pass through its body. Being a duel Ground-type probably lessened the blow considerably, as well. Noticeably smirking, the Ace Trainer suddenly drew her whip, lashing it out in front of her and striking the Krookodile on its back.
“Sand Attack, Krookodile, and then Dragon Tail!” Another ear splitting crack of her whip and the Krookodile let out a half pained/half admonishing roar before proceeding to slam its thick tail onto the ground, sending a cloud of dust and debris into the air. Wasting no time attacking once Honey’s vision was impaired, Krookodile barreled towards the coughing bear and suddenly whirled around, slamming its glowing tail into her abdomen.

Hannah watched from the sidelines with one hand covering her mouth and nose, squinting her eyes for looking for any sign of the two sparring Pokemon within the dust cloud. She heard the Ace Trainer’s orders, but what could she do? As soon as the commands left the woman’s mouth, the Krookodile had executed each one in quick succession. All she saw was a faint blue glow from within the cloud and inevitable caustic ‘thump’ of Krookodile’s tail slamming into Honey’s chest.
Meanwhile, and despite the tremendous pain associated with the hit, Honey instinctively put her paws in front of her to brace for impact, grabbing the Krookodile’s tail just as it plowed into her. Even as the crocodile-like Pokemon attempted to pull away, Honey kept a firm hold on its tail, even pulling it back some. Both Hannah and the Ace Trainer waited with bated breath for the cloud of dust to clear, knowing that whatever scene unfolded before them determined their next commands - but, they needed to wait for the Sand Attack to disperse and try to beat one another to the punch. It seemed like an eternity before the dust cleared enough for the two to see what was happening, at which point both women practically screamed their next commands.
“Seismic Toss, Honey!” Hannah yelled, in unison to the Ace Trainer’s own ‘Crunch!’ order.

Both Pokemon acted accordingly; Honey jerked the Krookodile’s tail towards her and started to trap and wrap her arm around its middle, but unfortunately for her, the Intimidation Pokemon had heeded its own trainer’s commands. As Honey reached around to secure its torso, it suddenly twisted in her grasp, allowing its tail to bend in a potentially painful position in order to reach the bear with its mouth. In one fluid motion, the crocodile-like Pokemon clamped its jaws around Honey’s arm and then jolted its head off to the side, causing the Ursaring to stumble, lose her grasp on its tail, and double over in pain.
“Sweet Scent, Honey, and then follow up with Metronome! You can do this!” Hannah’s voice cracked a little, revealing her slightly panicky reaction to seeing her best friend in such obvious distress.
Honey growled and, despite the Krookodile’s jaws locked on her forearm, proceeded to stand and shake her fur (the result of the twisting action probably caused the Krookodile’s jaws to sink in further, but faced with the reality it wasn’t going to let go otherwise, Hannah realized it was the only feasible solution). Seemingly from the pores of her skin, a pink, powdery substance started to shake off Honey’s fur, filling and the air - and subsequently, the nostrils of the Krookodile. Faced with the disorientating smell filling its nostrils (and its eyes), the Intimidation Pokemon instinctively sneezed, releasing Honey’s arm and falling backwards. When it started to wipe its tearing eyes in a desperate attempt to remove the powder, the Ace Trainer cracked her whip across its backside, “Stop fooling around, Krookodile!”

During the other woman’s ‘pep talk’, Honey was already prepping a Metronome attack. Rather than the detrimental physical attack Hannah had been hoping for, Metronome selected Flash; several bright, literal flashes, of blinding light filled the clearing, causing even the trainers themselves to rub their eyes. Eyes clenched to try and dispel the disorienting spots of light, the Ace Trainer retaliated, “Shake it off, Krookodile! I want a Thunder Fang, now!”
With a snap of its jaws, the Krookodile lumbered forward, electricity flickering around each and every visible serrated fang lining its elongated snout. Much to the dismay of the Ace Trainer, though, it was painfully obvious that both the Sweet Scent and Flash attacks had taken a toll on its aim and accuracy; reminiscent of a baby Totodile or Deino lunging forward and snapping at the air until they bit something, the Krookodile was merely lurching forward with its tiny arms outstretched, trying in vain to pinpoint Honey. Speaking of Honey, she was just having to keep on her toes, jumping off to the side, or skating around the Krookodile’s snapping jaws in a sort of awkward dance with the other beast. As horrible as Krookodile’s accuracy was, Honey knew that sooner or later, it would manage to catch Honey. But what could she do? Each time Honey darted off to the side of the crocodile, it sensed her presence there and quickly turned, snapping as it did so. This meant that not only was the Krookodile keen on following the bear, but attacking it from behind was going to be hard.
Unless... Hannah thought, eyes narrowed. Thinking back to some odd article she’d read in a Pokemon Center lobby, she recalled reading something about how a Krookodile’s bite strength was focused solely on keeping it’s mouth clamped around its prey, and that it took more effort for it to reopen its mouth than to close it and keep it closed. If this wasn’t true, then how else would those Pokemon wranglers on TV be able to use duct tape to hold a rampaging Krookodile’s or Feraligatr’s mouth shut?

“Grab it’s mouth, Honey!” She exclaimed. The bear wasn’t much of a thinker, otherwise she probably would have doubted the plan and hesitated a bit, but being who she was, took the opportunity to grab the crocodile Pokemon’s mouth once it had snapped shut in front of her face. Once Honey had her paw wrapped around the Krookodile’s mouth, Hannah grinned when she realized that what she read must have been true; despite stomping about and struggling whole heartedly, the Krookodile just couldn’t seem to break free of the hold Honey had around its snout. This didn’t come without its drawbacks; even though Honey had avoided the blunt of the Thunder Fang attack, there was still residual electricity seeping out from the cracks of Krookodile’s snout, effectively shocking Honey and causing her to clench her eyes shut.
“Krookodile, what do you think you’re doing? Thrash!” The Ace Trainer yelled, cracking the whip over her head in hopes that the loud ‘crack’ would snap some sense into the brute. Behind the woman, the Granbull from before seemed to be the only one flinching from the sound of the whip since Krookodile seemed to preoccupied with struggling against its captors hold.

“Now let’s give it your best Seismic Toss, Honey!” Uttering a gruff ‘Urrs’ in affirmation at Hannah’s command, the blonde bear planted her feet into the ground and secured her free arm around the flailing Krookodile’s torso (and getting punched in the snout in the process), easily lifting the smaller Pokemon off its feet. When the red and black brute’s feet left the ground, both it and its trainer seemed to understand this was going to end; the whip-wielding woman let the weapon fall at her side, watching with defeated eyes as the Ursaring shifted its weight and then slammed the Krookodile into the ground using all 2500 lbs. of that aforementioned weight.
When the dust from the impact settled, Honey pushed herself up and shook off her fur, panting and drooling (like the majestic beast she was), glaring at the unconscious form of the Krookodile in front of her.
Despite her blonde hair being dirtied, the blood on her forearm, and fatigue-caused drool dripping down Honey’s chest chest, Hannah burst out into the middle of the clearing, jumping up onto the Ursaring’s back (luckily, Honey had dropped down to all fours, otherwise such a feat would be impossible) and proceeded to press her face into the furry, muscular hump that was the bear’s shoulders. “Look at my big strong baby girl!”
Honey whined and turned her head, noticeably smiling in that awkward teeth-baring fashion, but their post-battle celebration was interrupted when the Ace Trainer returned her Krookodile and motioned for her Granbull to go out into the field. The Bulldog Pokemon snapped its jaws shut, brandishing its massive tusks and growled.

Honey whined, drawing back, at which point Hannah jumped off her back and shook her head. “It’s over, she needs to go to a Pokemon Center.”
Frowning, the Ace Trainer shook her head as well, “It’s not over until I say it is. It pains me to admit than I’m somewhat impressed with your Ursaring. I would like to see just how well it handles my entire team. I don’t expect it to win, of course, but it would be an interesting training regimen. For the sake of civility, I’ll supply you with a Full Restore at the end of each battle, although I don’t expect it to last against my Granbull. I won’t take no for an answer, understand?”
Hannah frowned, noticeably bothered by the fact the woman had the audacity to try and force Honey to stay and battle for intensive training purposes. She knew that if need be, the entirety of her team, including Shaymin, could easily overwhelm her and allow them to escape. But, despite her reluctance, she knew that Honey would most likely choose to stay and fight. Despite the fact that the bear was a few Pokeballs short of a full stock, she was tremendously proud of herself when it came to situations like this. Turning to face the aforementioned bear, Hannah placed her hands on either sides of her thick snout, speaking softly, “You heard her, Honey. It’s up to you what we do. If you don’t want to stay, Rose and Cher could easily get us out of here.”
In response, Honey narrowed her eyes and stood up, towering over Hannah and lumbering past her, onto the field. The Ace Trainer smirked softly, but kept up her end of the deal; she reached into her pack and withdrew a Full Restore and tossed it to Hannah.

The product, as advertised, worked instantaneously; as soon as Honey drank half of the bottle and the other half was sprayed over the blunt of her wounds, she stood taller, noticeably healed. After asking Honey once more if she was positive she wanted to do this, Hannah returned to her respective side of the clearing, aware of the fact the Ace Trainer was waiting for her to attack first.
“Just like before, Honey, let’s start out with another Metronome.”
Honey grunted and waved her claws, the orange ring on her chest glowing a faint red. Her snout seemed to wrinkle uncomfortably and she opened her mouth, a ball of energy forming at its peak. From the ball came a steady stream of flames, aimed directly for the Granbull; Flamethrower. Since Ursaring didn’t posses flame sacs, Hannah supposed Metronome supplied the needed energy to utilize the attack. Either way, she was ecstatic that it had actually selected a proficient physical attack like Flamethrower.
"That's what I'm talking about!" She exclaimed, jumping up (and causing poor Shaymin to become dislodged and go bouncing up on top of her head). The Ace Trainer on the other end of the field, however, wasn't as excited about the psuedo-Flamethrower as Hannah was. Across the field, the woman was visibly grinding her teeth, knuckles white as she clasped her whip.
"Substitute!" The Ace Trainer yelled, simultaneous to the crack of her whip. Granbull snarled in response as the bullwhip lashing against it's backside, but utilized the move nonetheless. The large canine seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving behind a solid trace of itself as it did so. There wasn't much Honey could do at this point other than allow the torrent of flames to bathe the artificial opponent, at which point it fizzled away. With the Granbull still out of view, the Ace Trainer took this opportunity to sneak in an attack, "Thunder Fang!"

Upon hearing the command, Honey stood on her hind legs and turned around in hopes of somehow intercepting the attack, but the Granbull had the element of surprise. The brute's massive jaws clamped down onto Honey's shoulders, electricity flowing from it's tusks and right into the unfortunate bear's hide. One outstanding flaw that Hannah had yet to shake was the fact that whenever she saw Honey in such noticeable pain, her mind went blank. Under normal circumstances, she would probably call out a Seismic Toss or some other move to utilize the close proximity, but right now, she was stuttering.
"Honey!" She called out, worriedly. "Ah- Metronome!"
Amidst the pain, Honey closed her eyes and waved her claws, but there was no aura of mystical energy or eerie glow. Instead, as the Granbull continued to crunch down on the bear's shoulder, Honey turned her head and ... proceeded to plant a kiss on the Granbull's forehead. As she did so, the ring on her stomach started to glow bright pink; Lovely Kiss. Not only was the Granbull thoroughly confused why the opponent had decided to kiss it, but was starting to shiver as well. Unable to support the weight of its jaw anymore, the bulldog Pokemon stumbled backwards and then fell, fast asleep. Shoulder bleeding and twitching from electricity, Hannah shook the pain off and stepped backwards, regarding the snoozing Granbull with guised amusement. While the kiss may have been unorthodox, it had worked.
"Granbull, wake up!" The Ace Trainer growled through gritted teeth, cracking her whip above the sleeping canine's head. As loud as it was, the snoozing bulldog remained motionless, leaving the woman no choice but to pull an Awakening from the pouch on her side and spray it out onto the field. As soon as the liquid hit the canine, it immediately opened its eyes and struggled to stand, jaw hanging as if it was too tired to immediately think about closing its mouth.

"This is getting ridiculous. Granbull, get your act together and use Scary Face."
Upon hearing it's trainer's command, Granbull shook its head (spray of drool included) and regained its composure, focusing on the rather large opponent opposite of the field. It's already narrowed eyes began to glow red, the aggravation radiating from its stare palpable. Honey grimaced, trying in vain to turn away from the bulldog's bludgeoning stare, but seemed to be stuck in place. Finally satisfied with the events in her favor, the Ace Trainer smiled as the massive bear began to shiver uncontrollably, "Granbull, end this with Brick Break!"
As the Intimidation Pokemon let out a deep growl and advanced forward, Hannah stepped forward instinctively, mouthing a silent command that she knew she wouldn't have time to complete. Honey saw the Granbull advancing forward and tried to move, but was too slow; the Granbull plowed it's fist into Honey's chin and sent the otherwise gargantuan bear toppling backwards. Even as the bulldog Pokemon glowered down at her, Honey wasn't about to just get back up and continue the fight; she was out cold. Hannah frowned and rushed forward, kneeling down at the bear's side and cupped her massive muzzle in her hands, trying in vain to wake her up. Mindless of the fact that Hannah was obviously worried about her Pokemon, the Ace Trainer was beaming. She placed her hands on her hips and looked down at the younger girl, her Granbull standing at her side with a look of haughty pride. "I knew that bear was all bark and no bite. You should know how to compensate for your Pokemon's lack of speed - that was my first order of business with my Granbull. With your lumbering brute, I'm surprised it even won enough battles to evolve. Now, if you think you can actually give me a worthwhile match, then I'd love to crush you again. Otherwise, don't interrupt my training. Granbull, what're you looking at! Back to work!" She suddenly turned away from Hannah and Honey, cracking her whip across the canine Pokemon's back and spurring it back into action, leaving Hannah to return Honey to her Pokeball and solemnly trudge away from the clearing to try and locate the nearest Pokemon Center.

Even with several attempts at encouragement from Shaymin, Hannah remained silent all throughout the hour hike to the road, which was only a short walk away from the Starling City Pokemon Center itself. Normally cheered up by Nurse Joy's own sweet disposition, Hannah only offered the woman a small, forced smile as she handed over Honey's Pokeball and retreated to the waiting area, sitting heavily down in one of the cushioned seats there.
"I just don't get it, Shaymin. That's the first match Honey and I have lost since she evolved. How could we just lose like that? And especially to someone so... ugh!" Unable to come up with a word for the Ace Trainer appropriate enough to be said within ear shot of Nurse Joy, the girl merely growled to herself, hitting the armrest of the chair in frustration.
Shaymin, briefly startled by the small outburst, re-emerged and pressed a small, cold nose to Hannah's cheek, it's small voice reassuring despite the circumstances. "Sometimes we all have days of mistakes, trainer. The Ursaring did not move quickly enough."
"Not quickly enough?" Hannah repeated, lifting her head. "That woman said the same thing... I know Honey's no where near as fast as Rose or Ginger, but she's an Ursaring, I couldn't ask much more of her than tha..."
Hannah trailed off, slowly standing and approaching the Pokemon Center's glass doors as if something had caught her attention. Outside, a woman clad in nothing more than a pink leotard and pointe ballet slippers was daintily walking down the sidewalk followed by a Kirlia and Lopunny, both also wearing pointe slippers. The Lopunny (since Kirlia essentially had its own skirt), was wearing some sort of frilly pink tutu around its waist. The three disappeared around the corner, heading towards the infamous High Street district. Which made sense when she thought about it, hadn't she seen numerous Pokemon beauty salons and spas? If someone was willing to set up a shop that offers hot tea baths for Pokemon, then a Pokemon dance class wouldn't be so out of the question, would it? Realizing that was the answer, Hannah smiled, to which Shaymin tilted it's head, unaware of what two Pokemon in skirts had to do with the matter at hand.

The little hedgehog opened it's mouth to speak, but was cut off (and sent scurrying back into Hannah's scarf) by Nurse Joy emerging from the back room with Honey in tow. As soon as the blonde bear laid eyes on Hannah, she poked out her lips and started to sniffle, making an awkward chuffing noise as she began to cry.
Hannah took Honey's paw (having to use both hands to hold the massive thing up) and pressed her cheek to it and then kissed it, reassuring the sensitive bear that she wasn't upset with her about loosing the match. "Awh, Honey, don't cry! You didn't do anything wrong. It's my fault, I'm the trainer, but listen here girly, I have an idea."
Honey probably understood only a little bit of what Hannah actually said, but Hannah's smile was contagious to the bear. Plus, she seemed to catch the general gist of what the girl was saying, seeing as how she seemed to light up and even nodded.
"Great! Come with me, baby, I think you're going to like this." Honey's paw still in her hands, Hannah proceeded to exit the Pokemon Center backwards, excitedly pulling the bear along. It didn't take long for Hannah to locate the building the ballerina and her Pokemon had entered, after all, the dance studio was quite blunt with their banners posted all over High Street ("Dance lessons, welcoming both Pokemon and trainers alike!") and their neon sign hanging over their building that read 'Mademoiselle Claire's Dance Studio', adorned with several silhouettes of dancing Lopunny clad in tutus.
"You see, Honey? The only reason we lost that battle was because that woman trained her Granbull to be light on it's feet. Get it? I can't think of a funner way to learn to be quick than to dance." Hannah smiled, directing the bear inside the building. As would be expected of a roomful of dainty women and equally dainty Pokemon, seeing a bear enter the building that was having trouble walking because of the ceiling fan was a bit of a shock.
After a moment of reassuring from Hannah, the women within the studio calmed down (especially upon seeing the bow), and quickly became frustrated. A woman stepped forward and Hannah quickly recognized her as the woman she'd seen from before, however, something else set her apart from the rest of the women in the studio; she was wearing a different colored leotard than the others. Since it would be unusual for anyone other than the instructor to dress differently, one could only assume this must have been Mademoiselle Claire.

"Oh my God," She thrust her nose into the air, looking disgusted that there was a drooling Ursaring in the midst of her parlor. "is this some sort of joke? No one just walks into Mademoiselle's Claire dance studio off the street, especially special requirement clients. If you could please direct your pet back out-"
"Oh, please, Mademoiselle Claire, this is important. I need to teach my Ursaring to be lighter on her feet and what better way to do that than a dance class? We won't be a burden, just let us take a week class. I have money, see?" Hannah was adamant, even stepping forward to cut the woman off as she tried to walk away. Mademoiselle Claire paused, considered the 500 AD the girl was offering her and then nodded stiffly, snatched the money from Hannah's hands, and then proceeded to motion them into the back. It was a bit off following the woman, considering how she was practically walking on the point of her toes, something that Hannah almost fell when she tried to attempt herself. Luckily for her, the other clients and their Pokemon weren't paying any attention, and Mademoiselle Claire was too busy sifting through a closet of leotards and pointe slippers to care.
"You're lucky I just started teaching a beginners class, otherwise I would have booted you right out the door. This class has already been learning for a day or so and I will not be stopping to wait for you, or your Ursaring and I'm perfectly content letting you drown. I'm here to instruct, and those who are capable provide. Those who do not are just not meant to. Understand?"
"That's a bit harsh, don't you-" Hannah was cut off by a leotard being thrown into her face.
"I don't have a skirt big enough for the bear. I'll be resuming the lesson in five minutes and you and your brute had better have chosen a spot on the wall." With that said, Mademoiselle Claire left the two, but not before giving Honey one last, simper look. With the threat of being left behind, Hannah hurriedly changed into the leotard in one of the available back rooms, took Honey's paw and then rushed into the parlor, taking the only spot big enough for Honey and herself at the mirrored wall.

Mademoiselle Claire took her respective position in front of the other clients, her Lopunny and Kirlia at her sides. "We discussed the five basic positions of ballet yesterday, but they hadn't been properly demonstrated - as I was about to do before we were so rudely interrupted. Now, the balls of your feet need to be turned out completely. The heels touch each other and the feet face outward, as if to form a straight line, like this. Now, take First Position."
As she directed the class to do so, her Lopunny and Kirlia followed suit, their chins up in the air a bit prudishly.
It wasn't a complicated position to take, really, and Hannah didn't have much trouble putting one heel against the other, but Honey, on the other hand, seemed to have trouble straightening out her knees. To Hannah, who knew just how bow-legged Ursaring walked on their hind legs was rather impressed with what she had managed to do, but Mademoiselle Claire was not so moved.
"What is this?" As she came to Hannah and Honey, she sneered at the bear's lax attempt at straightening her feet out, seeing as how it was the simplest of the five basic positions. "I said to straighten out your feet, not hunch over like a bow-legged old woman with back problems."
Honey groaned softly, looking down at her knees and tried once more to straighten them out the best she could (unfortunately, Ursaring were made to bend that way), but ended up doing little more than causing them to tremble uncomfortably. Dissatisfied with this, Mademoiselle Claire literally pressed the toe of her slipper to Honey's knee cap and pushed, nearly forcing her to straighten out that leg.
"Hey! Her legs aren't made to bend that way, she's doing the best she can!" Hannah protested. Mademoiselle Claire sneered and placed her hands on her hips, looked for a moment as if she were going to argue that point with Hannah, but simply continued along the line of pupils. As soon as she was out of view, Honey's knees wobbled and literally popped back into their previous bow-legged positions. The clumsy bear lost her balance and shifted the entirety of her weight onto the wooden rail lining the wall. Of course, having all 2500 lbs of her glorious self being forced onto the wooden railing caused the thing to snap of the wall, thus causing all of the women whom had been leaning on it to fall as well, including Hannah. Before the girl could even begin to stand herself up, Mademoiselle was on top of her, pulling her up by the scruff of her leotard.
"First, you interrupt my class, then you destroy my studio! Get out! Get that ugly thing out of my studio!" By the end of the sentence, she was screaming, her tightly wound hair starting to come undone to give her a violently haphazard look.

"But, Mademoiselle-!" Hannah nearly stuttered, but abruptly stopped when the woman had picked up Hannah's backpack and clothes and slung them across the room, causing the girl to have to practically jump up to catch poor Shaymin, whom had been resting in the pile of clothes during the pandemonium. Clothes, Shaymin, and backpack piled in her arms, Mademoiselle Claire continued to scream at them to leave, some parts in English, others in French. Taking the opportunity to leave while she could, Hannah hurried through the glass doors of the studio with Honey in tow, still clad in the training leotard. Defeated and disheartened, Hannah led the trio back to the Pokemon Center where they would spent the night before continuing on their way. Of course, seeing as how her brilliant plan had failed miserably, Hannah was even worse off rather they had returned to the Pokemon Center than she had been before leaving. How the hell were they supposed to learn to dance now that they had been kicked out of the only Pokemon dance studio in the city?
After several hours of reassuring Honey that what had happened wasn't her fault, the trio settled down for the evening. While Honey and Shaymin slept soundly on the floor, Hannah was busying herself with the PC available for the trainers to use. Of course, she wasn't withdrawing or depositing anything, merely trying her hardest to find something that could help them. After numerous fruitless searches for 'dance classes' and 'dance steps', she stumbled upon a music video. At first, she was merely interested because it was the kind of feminine empowerment music that was always good for training, but soon became engrossed with the dancing itself. Enlightened, Hannah quickly fumbled with a slot on the side of her Pokegear, pulling out a small memory card. She inserted the same card into the computer, proceeded to download the video, and then quickly jumped up from her seat.

"Wake up, Honey!" Hannah grabbed a handful of loose fat/fur/skin on Honey's shoulder and tugged, the only effective way to wake up the sleeping Hibernator Pokemon. The bear grumbled a debilitated contention, but pushed herself up nonetheless at her trainer's command. As Hannah gathered up her things and proceeded to usher Honey out the door, she gave little explanation as to why she had decided to camp rather than sleep inside the Pokemon Center. She did, however, explain along the way that she found the solution for their problem. Shaymin, like the naive and eternally blithe creature it was, seemed excited. Honey merely lumbered along, grumbling a few 'Urs' of protest every now and then. After all, she'd been with Hannah long enough to know that there wasn't going to be much sleep that night. So, once in the confines of the forest, settling down in a clearing just off the trail, the group set of camp (complete with a fire courtesy of Charla). Once they were settled in and had adequate lighting, Hannah began to more assiduously explain what she had in mind. She started to play the aforementioned video on her Pokegear, showing the tiny picture to Honey with a broad smile on her face.
"See this? We can do this without the help of that prissy dance instructor! You're good at mimicry, baby girl, plus this is perfect for you, being the... uh, sassy embodiment of female prowess you are."
Honey, eyes focused on the video, seemed enthused by it, even though Hannah knew she had absolutely no idea what she was saying. With Honey's confirmation of the dance out of the way, Hannah set to work with slowing the video down and rewinding it, demonstrating the dance moves one by one for the bear by the firelight.

With Honey at her side, Hannah placed one hand on her hip and bent the other like a tea pot, slowly moving from left to right by alternating between feet. This was easy enough for the bear to do, even if the sassy hand gesture was little difficult with the way her wrist naturally bent. Seeing that the bear had the first steps down (even if it was a bit funny, seeing as how with each heavy step, Honey's stomach fur would jiggle profusely), the trainer smiled and sped the movements up a bit, eventually getting to real time. It took a couple tries, but eventually Honey seemed to be getting the otherwise simple steps.
"Good job! Now, this is going to be a bit harder. See, watch. Walk forward... one, two, three steps, like that. Good! Now, kick your foot up like this and tuuurn," While she spoke, Hannah demonstrated the maneuver, which called for the dancer to kick their foot up and then quickly cross it over their other as they turned. Hannah, being a small female, was able to do this. Honey, on the other hand, was not. Her foot really couldn't be lifted more than a foot or so before she would lose her balance and inevitably fall, spinning awkwardly on her back claws until she regained her balance.
"Okay, that's not going to work." Hannah paused the video, rewound it, and then ushered Honey back beside her. "Let's try something different, okay? Instead of kicking, just pick your foot up and cross it. The last thing we need is you causing an Earthquake when you fall. Let's start again, ready? Walk three steps and then lift your foot up!"
As she said this, she lifted her hands, doing the motions herself and gesturing for Honey to mimic them. Once the bear had successfully done this in real time, Hannah pulled a bit of sweet poffin from her pocket, much to the delight of the blonde bear.
"Good job! Here- ow! Don't grab it from me!" After swatting the bear on the arm, Hannah regained her bubbly composure and smiled. "Now, we're going to do it again, but this time we're going to be lighter on our feet, understand? Now, move your hips like this, see?"

The first couple steps were repeated over and over until Honey perfected them without literally stomping each time her foot hit the ground, even swinging her hips as good as an Ursaring could. With Hannah's lead, the two continued to drill steps, holding their hands in front of them and moving them back and forth while coordinating the sassy head and hip swish along with it.
"Okay, now, Honey, do exactly what I do. Stand with your legs shoulders apart like this.. and now bend your knees like- well, that's okay, too. Wind your hips and arms back and forth," As Hannah practiced the aforementioned techniques, Honey did the same, just a little less gracefully as her human companion. Each dance step was repeated at least three times, the video rewound and replayed numerous times in between steps.
After a couple hours of rigorous practicing, both Hannah and Honey were thoroughly exhausted, unable to keep up the dance steps without their knees quivering in the process. Hannah had noticed at least a half an hour into the routine that Honey was exhausted, but rather than insist on sleeping like Hannah would have figured (hell, Shaymin had curled up in the sleeping bag the moment they set up camp), the bear persevered, hoping and swishing around the clearing with clear determination. By the end of their routine, Honey wasn't exactly as light on her feet as a Kirlia or as delicate as a Deerling, but they were making some progress. Opening a container of water, Hannah lifted it up for Honey, draining the contents into the thirsty bear's mouth.
"You did great, Honey. I lied to you, Honey - I'm not going to make you re battle that woman. All I wanted was for you to feel good about yourself. "
Honey blinked and licked the remainder of the water off her lips, whining quixotically. Then, seeming to understand, she let out a groan and licked Hannah's cheek.

Sexy Ursaring dance.

And then a Swellow dive-bombed and dropped a yellow disk on Hannah's head, then flying away before anybody could understand what happened. It was a Wild Charge TM, wrapped around in a pretty pink and white bow~
