Chase sighed as he sat on the mountainside, looking out across Aerei. It was a little bit boring out here for him, but Flare had decided a while ago that he'd wanted to go see Suyra again after such a long time apart. They'd been doing things on their own for a while now, and it was time for them to meet up. Flare had acted as sniffer dog for a while now, looking around for some sort of trace of his brother in the region but it hadn't been close to easy. The closest he'd been in a long time had been while they were up this mountain with the strongest scent in the area. It wasn't the best by a long way, but it was somewhere the trainer seemed to like to hang out. Better idea than just searching the whole region. Chase yawned, leaning back against some rocks as he looked out over the small plateau that the pair had found. At least from here he could see people coming most likely, and he could catch his breath before Flare caught another faint whiff on the wind and the pair ended up darting off in some other direction. At least from here the only way was down. Oh he longed for the time one of his pokémon would be large enough to ride around instead of hiking everywhere, but oh well. Not much he could do but keep on training. "Flare, I know you're never gonna give up on this, but can we at least just camp out here for a bit? If you smell him here so much might be best to wait instead of trying to run around all the time." came the voice of the tired little boy as he looked out, Flare whining a little, resting his head down on Chases lap for a moment. They'd rest for a short while at least. Not like Yuki was about to magically appear from thin air in front of them or anything... |

Sebastian looked back to Yuki, shrugging a little, buzzing his wings a small amount in response. It seemed while Chase was still young, his pokémon still managed to be grown up enough to work out what was going on themselves and fight when the trainer could not. Sebastian flew over, closer towards Chase naturally trying to help comfort the small boy before the intense grip on Yuki became apparent. He landed instead on Suryas back as somewhere warm and comfortable. If he'd mistaken the Growlithe for his brother or not who was to tell. All the first person to look over would notice was how odd the purple and the orangey red went together. It didn't look too good. Chase attempted to work on getting his breathing back, sucking in whatever air he could into his lungs, but it wasn't all that easy. His face buried into Yukis shoulder, he clung onto the other in the tightest hug he could muster. "You sure it's not gonna come back..?" he wined through shakily drawn breaths, not willing enough to look up and see for himself. |

Surya greeted the Vibrava warmly, even heating up a bit to share his body warmth better, before returning his attention to the two trainers. It wasn't often that his trainer would actually hug another human, as far as this Puppy knew, so it was quite a curious scene to watch. He even commented to Elina and Aiko that this far from Yuki's usual behavior. And Elina had to agree. She was used to seeing the teen getting into trouble, obtaining memoirs from the trouble, and then moving on without a hitch. At the moment, the memoir was losing strands of hair, but there was no moving on so far. Was is the smaller of the two humans that made the difference? Aiko didn't appear to care much about the change in their trainer; she was more interested in the egg. According to Yuki, it was her task to care for this egg for she had hatched before it. Whatever Pokemon came out of it would be her sibling, whether they were of the same egg group, species, whatever or not, and she would do her best to care for it. Almost like how Yuki was doing his best to care for Chase at the moment. An quiet chuckle escaped the teen, him doing his best to appear light-hearted and unconcerned, as he heard the younger's question. "Sebastian has already taken care of that." He murmured in as soothing as a tone he could manage. This was an emotional setting and the teen wasn't that great with such situations. "It cannot return." In the back of his mind, Yuki wondered how long it would take for Chase to calm down fully and return to his childish ways. The Umbran himself had never had such breakdowns, even during those rare occurences when Oak randomly lost him in the wild, when he was about the same age as the boy in his arms. What was the difference? "The pair of you are quite strong." He randomly commented as he thought back to how Sebastian used Earthquake to easily dispose of the Aggron. "You've trained him well." |

"I only got two things from back home..." he murmured quietly, seeming to have calmed down enough that his breathing was back to normal at least. "Just got Sebastian and our old badge... Gotta look after them both. If I don't look after them, then it's like forgetting all about home..." Chase very slowly started to pull away from Yuki, checking himself to make sure that the Aggron was gone before he stayed sat opposite the Umbran. One hand moved to try and wipe away the tears in his eyes as the other drifted to his neckline, grasping hold of the charm which was the old gym badge from his home. His gaze drifted to the ground, his thoughts turning back to his home and why he'd been forced to leave. "Mum and Dad got Sebastian for me. With them gone, he's all I got left. So we gotta be strong, we gotta be good together otherwise it's like I'm just ignoring everything they did for me before..." his voice faded out, his eyes squinting shut and more tears quickly needing to be wiped away. Sebastian looked over towards Chase, frowning a little. While it was good to see that the boy was able to let out all of these feelings, by the sounds of it, it wasn't to the best person in the world. He looked down to Surya trying to find some reason for why Yuki tended to be so distant to make this kind of thing so rare, before realising that it was both none of his business and pokémon didn't always tend to know everything about their trainers so much. |

Seeing as how Chase wanted to move, Yuki released the boy and quietly waited for the latter to do something. He had listened thoughtfully as the child explained bits about his past and allowed a question of what had happened to make him so full of emotion of leaving home. Well, it was at least interesting to learn a little something about the boy he would treat as a sort of master when the trainer was older. Noticing that Chase had quieted, the boy's eyes screwed shut with tears flowing, Yuki tilted his head slightly and watched. A shrug going unnoticed by the younger, Yuki leaned closer to Chase and made to wipe away the insistent tears. "Then your parents have nothing to worry about if your still thinking about them and home." The teen paused after saying that, wondering if those were the right words, before sitting back and glancing up at the sky. Quite a bit of time had passed, though an exact measurement was made impossible due to clouds obscuring the sun, and he absently wondered of the home he never knew. "The fact you're still carrying the badge is proof enough that you won't forget." Silence soon followed that statement as Yuki thought back to his time in Kanto. That wasn't his home, but it was certainly a place of memories for him. He remembered the day he had been informed by Professor Oak that he had no past upon arriving to the professor's doorstep. Now he understood the meaning behind that. Now he understood that, in a way, he didn't exist before being dropped off at the doorstep of that lab. During that silence, Surya yawned audibly which, in turn, caused Elina to yawn. Surya, being one of the closest to the trainer, admitted that he didn't understand the teen much. Affection towards people just seemed beyond Yuki's capability sometimes. Yeah he was interested in certain people, but it was clear that the guy would cut ties if something displeased him. Elina, hearing that, also added that Yuki was more suspicious of others than he was trusting. When the gloves activated on their own back at that waterfall and revealed what was happening with a couple random people? Yeah, he didn't seem to trust what might have happened. Aiko remembered that and even found herself adding what she could. There was a detached interest in humans as far as she could tell. Pokemon were automatically respected, but people? They had to have the right circumstances on their side. Other than that, people had nothing going for them. |

"My parents can't worry about me anyway..." Chase murmured quietly, still looking very forlorn. "Can't do anything any more..." He slipped the necklace off for a moment, keeping the gym badge pendant in his hand as he did so before slowly opening his hand to get a good look at the badge. It seemed like he'd be able to stare into the surface of the item in his hand for hours. After a while he sighed, resigning himself to firmly re-attaching the badge around his neck. "I gotta be strong now for them..." he murmured, trying to force himself to be more determined and less babyish once more. "I gotta train up so I can go back and make our gym again." he said, looking up to Yuki in a way which made him seem really quite thankful that he was here. Sebastian heard what the pokémon had to say about one of the very few people Chase had come to trust in this region enough to meet twice willingly and sighed, looking over. He voiced a concern for the small boy, hoping that the two might be able to stay together despite the very strange relationship they had. While they had the link of the two brothers, that didn't mean for certain that they would remain close as humans. |

Learning that Chase's parents couldn't worry for him, Yuki quickly decided that the boy's family was lost to the world. "Can't do much anymore? Do they not give you motivation to continue being strong?" He inquired softly, tilting his head slightly in a questioning matter. "Are they not partially the reason that you aim to rebuild the gym? To run a gym?" The teen peered at the badge for a moment before glancing at Chase to see how the boy stared sadly at the item. When the younger looked up at him, a clear look of gratitude, Yuki allowed what appeared to be a gentle smile, though it didn't reach his unreadable eyes. "They may not be around to show it, but I can promise you that they are proud of you." Once more Yuki found himself thinking back to the house he stayed at in Oak's land. It used to be a storage shed filled with various equipment used to care for the land, but it was quickly organized into a liveable space by the teen and various helpful Pokemon living under Oak's care. Looking back, the teen spent close to no time in that shed he had made into his living quarters. "Never forget your past," the Umbran murmured, whether or not it was directed to Chase would remain unknown, and he ran a hand through his dark hair thoughtfully. "It's an empty life otherwise." Sighing, Yuki placed both hands against the ground and pushed himself up onto his feet. The boy had calmed down already so there was no need to remain on the ground. This in mind, the teen soon stretched before glancing down at his Pokemon. "Well, wasn't that just exciting." In response to the question that was announced sounding like a statement, Surya wagged his tail tiredly while Elina shook a claw to say "so-so" which made Yuki shrug. Aiko, meanwhile, shrugged as Yuki did before replacing the egg back into the backpack and trying to drag it towards the trainer. While Yuki busied himself with returning the bag and Pokemon to his shoulders, Surya turned his attention to Sebastian and Elina who strode over to join the two males. The Growlithe snickered a canine chuckle at the Vibrava's hope before commenting that Chase wouldn't be the first human Yuki stayed close to. Elina helpfully added that the teen's favorite toys were always humans anyway. There were two other humans that their trainer kept an eye out for, though the condition with those two were quite odd. She couldn't put her finger on it, but the cautious suspicion Yuki directed toward Amy and Xaviero wasn't a normal human action. Surya, upper lip pulled up in a grin, explained that Yuki swore to disappear from their lives forever if anything happened to the girl under Xaviero's supposed-to-be watchful eye. Shrugging then, the Puppy returned his attention to Seb and nodded. He was confident in the relationship between the humans, even if it seemed stranged. "Now, what to do?" |

Chase barely seemed to notice that Yuki had worked out the unfortunate fate of his parents, only listening to the words and using them to help him to feel that little bit better about everything that was going on. "Never gonna be able to forget them. Guess might mean I'm gonna have a really full life 'cording to you, huh?" he asked, attempting a weak smile to help him feel that bit better once more. He watched as Yuki got up onto his feet, though staying himself down on the floor. He still hadn't eaten all that much that day. The apple from before had been enough to perk him up for the battle, but the adrenaline rush of the near death experience seemed to have wiped him out once more. "Now I think I wanna go back down..." Chase mused quietly, looking over to where Sebastian was on Suryas back. Sebastian looked a little relieved to hear that the one who was closest to Yuki had worked out that he was close enough that the relationship wasn't about to break down. He hadn't gotten to meet many people here, so keeping the one he might want to call friend wasn't on the top of his to do list. On seeing Chase looking directly at him, Sebastian blinked, thanking Surya for what he'd said before flying over into the boys lap, quickly getting engulfed into a tight hug. It looked like it might have been quite uncomfortable for him, but his face would tell anyone who looked that he was more than used to it. |

Eyes drifting lazily back towards Chase, Yuki put on an almost gently smile as he nodded in agreement. "Full indeed." With the bag carefully returned to its position on his back and Aiko sitting calmly back on his shoulder, the teen once again ran a hand through his hair as he shut off unnecessary thoughts that had been brought up during the conversation. To prevent himself from continuing to dwell on them, he listened to the younger boy's mumble and nodded absently. "I can Teleport us to the nearest town, if you like, and I think that's Virida Town." So saying, he plucked a Pokeball out of his PC and released his Gallade. When it glanced over at him, he explained what he wanted and it nodded. Teleport on the ready, Yuki returned his attention to the boy. "Shall I?" As he waited for Chase's final decision, the teen busied himself with taking hold of his Sneasel's Pokeball and preparing it to return the Pokemon. Their eyes met briefly before it was known that Elina had a few minutes to say her departing words. So saying, Elina smiled wickedly at Surya, giving a mocking bow to the Growlithe, before saluting just as mockingly to Adrastos and being returned to her Pokeball. And it was fine with Surya, though he saw the actions to be more playful than mocking. Adrastos, meanwhile, nodded in greeting to the most senior of the team before patting the youngest member gently on the head. To his pleasure, Aiko actually responded happily and smiled widely. He would occupy himself with listening to the pair explain what he had missed while he waited for the order to Teleport whoever needed Telporting to wherever. |

Chase looked up to the very strange Gallade, blinking a little in confusion before teleportation came to mind. Slowly and shakily he started to get to his feet, Sebastian quickly moving himself across and onto the boys head so he wouldn't need to be squashed so much any more. "Yeah, I wanna go back down." he decided, smiling faintly. He moved over, attempting to draw Yuki into a hug for all the help that he'd been while he was up here. |

The teen made no movements to encourage or discourage Chase's actions. With Chase hugging him, Yuki instead nodded to Adrastos in command before feeling the psyshic effects of Teleportation. It would only be a matter of seconds before the group appeared somewhere in town. Adrastos had moved a bit, giving space to the younger trainer, and blinked in reply to the silent order his own trainer had given him. The move was followed through immediately and, soon enough, they would find themselves near the Contest Hall. Surya, upon arrival, would more than likely be returned to his Pokeball for some much needed rest. |

Chase smiled on seeing that he was no longer on the mountain and far from any form of danger. "Thank you Yuki. We gonna see each other again sometime yeah?" he asked with a smile, looking up to the older boy. "Its nice being with you. Well, most of the time. don't like being al scared and stuff, but you helped make it all better again, so it's all good." he grinned. |

Yuki nodded in response. "More than likely, I'll be found back on Mt. Stella. If anywhere, it's the mountains that I'm most attached to." When Adrastos glanced his way, head tilted in an inquiring way with a subtle sensation of being near the ocean forming in the back of his mind, the teen added, "And occassionally near the ocean." Shrugging a bit, Yuki helped his Bagon crawl back into the bag on his shoulders before peering down at Chase and noticing the boy grinning at him. "Take care, Chase. I look forward to our next meeting." That said, the teen snapped his fingers and watched as everything around him faded and was replaced once more. Adrastos, upon instruction, had used Teleport again. Where they next ended up, however, would be completly random as far as the trainer knew. Yuki never said where to go after all so the Gallade had the freedom to make the decision. A freedom taken as often as given. |
