Piemur and his faithful pal Chinchou made their war from Starling City, on the road to discover just what it takes to be a pokemon master. "Ah, such a lovely day to be out with your pokemon." Piemur said wiping the sweat from his brow. "Chou chou!" Chirped the young pokemon. As they walked the road they passed by various trainers in the field, capturing pokemon and training to be the best. "See those trainers Chinchou? Those are going to be our competition some day. We will be the pokemon league champion, you can count on that!" Piemur said with a gusto. The sun was setting behind the trees, the sky lit up in brilliant orange and pink tones. It was a sight to behold, and a sight that would always remind Piemur of being home. Piemur hadn't done much traveling in his days, and was quite nervous to be spending time outside of the City he grew up in. "Chinchou, Return." Piemur said, allowing his fish pokemon to escape the sunlight. A burst of red light enveloped Chinchou and he was swept away into his pokeball. "There you go, some much deserved rest. Let's try and find a place to camp that has a water source for you." Piemur said as he tucked the pokeball in his hand into the hip pouch he wore. Moving off the beaten path was new to Piemur, but on a journey like this, with a powerful pokemon at his side, a new confidence sprung forth from him. He pushed his way through the thick undergrowth and found a nice little clearing along the edge of a shallow stream. It wasn't much, but would allow Chinchou to get a bath and enjoy a swim. "Chinchou, Go take a bath!" Piemur said as he pulled the pokeball from his pouch. He pressed the button center of the pokeball. The pokeball grew in size and released the Chinchou into the water. "Chinchou!" The pokemon said with glee as it splashed about. Piemur went back to work on clearing the brush out to make a camping area. He unrolled his sleeping bag in a small area just large enough to allow his sleeping bag, a small fire and a place to sit down. "I wonder how long it will take for us to challenge our first gym battle?" Piemur thought to himself as he watched Chinchou flopping and splashing around the small stream area. "We could also really use a tent..." Piemur said with a sigh. After Piemur was able to get a fire started, He and Chinchou decided a good way to get some training was going to find some food. At that, the unlikely pair trotted off into the woods to find some food. (OOC: This is kind of open ended post, so my RP partner can have a place to butt into the story.) |

Coincidentally, Hannah and her own obscenely large companion were also in search of food (Shaymin was latched onto Honey's shoulder, horribly frightened by a Spinarak it had seen moments prior). It was a relatively simple task, since Ursaring were extraordinarily skilled at sniffing out the best food for miles around. The only problem with this was making sure that Honey didn't devour the food before it was collected. So, the trio set off on this familiar task, Honey's large nose lifted into the air to track down anything edible, so long as it wasn't the roots or grass that she was particularly found of. Suddenly, Honey looked up and let out a low moan, evidently seeing something in the tree branches above. Without further ado, the large Ursaring jumped up and grabbed the tree, shimming her way up the thing with little effort involved (which was impressive, considering she weighed almost 2500 pounds). Shaymin let out a frightened squeak and held onto the bear's bow as tight as it could, crying out high-pitched 'Mins!' in protest. "Honey!" Hannah scolded at the base of the tree, putting her hands on her hips. "Bring it back down now!" Honey stopped at a sturdy looking branch and straddled it, mindlessly reaching out and snapping ripe Pecha berries from nearby branches. When she heard Hannah's scolding, the blonde bear mumbled a grouchy 'Urs' and pretended not to hear her trainer, then promptly went about grabbing more berries and shoving them into her gaping mouth as Shaymin continued to (noisily) voice it's concerns, almost as if it were telling on Honey. "I'll count to three, Honey, I swear I will! Don't make me make you come down!" Hannah threatened loudly, stomping her foot and pointing angrily at the oversized bear above. It seemed a bit comical for the girl to be threatening an animal almost 10 times her size, but at hearing such a threat, Honey looked genuinely hurt and like a child whom had just been spanked, slowly started climbing down from the tree while Hannah watched with serious, furrowed brows. |

Chinchou had a great time being out with his trainer in the woods. Foraging for food was normal life for a wild pokemon, but a nice way to bond with a trainer for the captured pokemon. As Chinchou hopped around in the creek that Piemur followed, it caught scent of something odd in the distance. "Chinchou?" Blurted the small blue pokemon. Piemur had been walking the shoreline, looking out for food using a burning stick from the fire. Stumbling along and not finding much more than a few scrapes and bruises, Piemur began to lose hope of finding any food. Piemur's disheartened expression changed to curiosity when he heard his partner's alert. "What is it chinchou?" Piemur asked, his eyes peeled as he scanned the forest beside him. His eyes had not fully adjusted to the darkness due to his torchlight. "Uh, There seems to be something large in that tree over there... Chinchou, let me carry you into the woods, you can use your orbs to illuminate the area..." Piemur said holding out an arm for his pokemon to jump into. Chinchou koo'd at Piemur and leapt into his arms. Luckily, they had practiced the spark attack before. This allowed Chinchou to store some energy into his orbs. "Chin!" Chinchou expressed. As Piemur drew closer to the commotion, his breathing began to fasten, His pulse raced. He crept closer to the strange shapes, barely lit from the glow radiating from Chinchou's antenna. Slowly he approached and noticed an odd shaped shadow figure at the base of the tree. Piemur crouched down and observed the situation. Before long Piemur heard the voice of a female, "Honey! Bring it back down now!" The figure shouted. The words directed at the large figure in the tree. Swallowing his fear, Piemur was able to muster enough courage to stand up and slowly approach the dark figure before him, his Chinchou tucked its head into his arm pit. "Uh, Hello? Me and my pal Chinchou are here looking for food... Show yourself!" Piemur exclaimed. Chinchou peeked out at the figures, darted his face back into Piemur's armpit and shook his orbs nervously. |

By that time, Honey had shimmied yourself down the tree and was looking guiltily at her feet as Shaymin hurriedly transferred shoulders, afraid that the bear may take off once more. Hannah, meanwhile, was busy scolding the bear for disobeying her and then ignoring her, (something she needed to nip in the bud if she were going to control such a large Pokemon). "Now, next time I tell you to do something, you do it, understand? Otherwise, I'm not giving you any poff- huh?" The dark-haired girl paused, hearing a male's voice ring out, and her eyes were met with a small glowing orb when she tried to locate the mysterious figure. She squinted, trying to make out whatever she could in the darkness, but then puffed out her chest, approaching the male's voice despite not being able to see much. Then, she responded with her own boisterous command, hands on her hips. "Why don't you show yourself, then? You don't have to be so rude!" Honey let out a long, pathetic moan and lowered herself down on all fours, nervously sniffing the air to see whether or not there were any alarming scents in the air. Unbeknownst to Hannah, the bear caught scent of Piemur's Chinchou; it was something she'd never smelled before, and honestly, smelled quite a bit like food. Without waiting for Hannah's directions, the bear groaned and took off, nose leading the way, towards the trainer and his marine Pokemon. Assuming that she found them with that keen nose of her's, she would stand on her hind legs and sniff them both, even going so far as to lick Piemur's face before Hannah appeared behind her, Shaymin quivering from beneath her scarf at the sight of someone it wasn't familiar with. "Oh, Honey, don't do that!" She said, at which point the bear groaned and fell back into a sitting position, licking her lips dumbly. |

"Why don't you show yourself, then? You don't have to be so rude!" Piemur heard in response to his calling. Now that the girl had noticed him, he could make out that she was not like some of the people you would likely find in the woods. She looked at home with being out in the wilderness but wasn't dirty or battered. Piemur wondered how long she had been out here. "Well... Ok." Piemur said, unsure of himself. He took a few steps forward, his hand outstretched to greet the young lady and was met by a large, warm and furry muzzle. "Wha....?" Piemur said but his question was answered before it could be asked. The light from Chinchou's orbs danced across the face of a large bear. "Ah! Oh no, a bear!" Piemur exclaimed as he pulled his pokedex out and pointed it towards the beast. "Ursaring, the Hibernate Pokémon. An excellent tree climber, it snaps trees with its front legs, and eats the fallen fruit. The Ursaring has such a keen sense of smell that it can even find food that has been buried. " The pokedex clattered on as the bear tongue shot from the mouth of the bear and splattered on Piemur's cheek. "Oh, Honey, don't do that!" The girl reprimanded the bear. "Honey... what a cute name." Piemur said as he chuckled. The bear's tongue tickled his cheeks. " That is such an awesome pokemon!I'm sure he must be really powerful!" Piemur said, taking a few steps forward, making sure to stay clear of the bears massive paws. "I'm Piemur. Starling City is my home town. I caught this Chinchou just yesterday. He's my first pokemon. You're the first trainer I have met on my journey!" Piemur said, extending his hand further, noticing a lump on the girls shoulder made a squeeking noise and ducked down. As Piemur greeted the young girl, Chinchou had slipped from it's trainers arms and scuttled towards the Pecha berries on the ground. It swallowed two whole berries and its orbs started to give off more light. |

Once Honey realized that the boy's Chinchou definitely wasn't edible, she seemed a bit crestfallen, and while Hannah and Piemur spoke, retreated back to reclaim some of the Pecha berries that had fallen from the tree. The blonde bear seemed surprised to find the same fish from before taking advantage of the fallen fruit. She looked up at the tree, then back down to the Angler Pokemon, claw placed on her chin in thought. Then, after finally reaching the conclusion that the Chinchou was hungry in her highly complex mind, she reached up and plucked another berry from a branch above her head. Lowering herself down on all fours, berry in hand, Honey proceeded to offer the fruit to fish as some sort of friendship offering. Hannah, meanwhile, was amused with Piemur's informative greeting. "I'm Hannah, from Conifer Town. I've been traveling with Honey for months now and it just seems like the beginning of our journey. And this," She paused to reach under her scarf and retrieve a struggling Shaymin, whom immediately curled into a grassy ball upon seeing Piemur. "is Shaymin. I wouldn't introduce it to you if I didn't think you were a nice person." Of course, she wasn't about to go into the long story of how she met Shaymin and swore to protect it and such, but the fact she was protective of it could be assumed. Upon being pulled out, Shaymin quivered and curled up, but slowly started to uncurl once it heard Hannah's last statement. Small eyes peered out at the trainer warily, though it was far from welcoming. "That's so bizarre. I've never seen a Chinchou on land before... I'm not much of a water Pokemon trainer. I have a Milotic, but I couldn't imagine training a fish Pokemon on land. Have you and Chinchou battled any?" Hannah wasted no time bombarding the boy with questions and her general chatty attitude; after all, she'd only had her Pokemon to talk to for quite some time. |

Piemur watched as his Chinchou ate the Pecha Berries, amused by Honey's attempts to befriend the fish. Chinchou accepted the berry graciously, bowing it's orbs before Honey. It bounced up to paw level and snatched the berry and swallowed it down in one motion. "Pleasure to meet you Hannah! I haven't been to Conifer before, but I would love to visit someday." Piemur said with a happy expression on his face. Piemur made sure to calm his voice into a soothing tone. "Hi Shaymin. You are a very cute pokemon. Hannah is very lucky to have such a nice partner with her on her travels." Piemur said calmly to the little hedgehog. "Uh, Yea, I am not sure about battling on land with Chinchou, but I imagine it wouldn't work out to well... as you can see, all he can do is kind of flop and hop about on land." Piemur said with an embarassed look on his face. It came to mind that having the fish pokemon is great, but he would need a land based pokemon if he really wanted to become a champion. "We haven't really battled. But we practiced the spark attack. I was amazed to see a water type that could use electric attacks, that type combination should be really strong. But I now see that I'm going to need a pokemon that can battle on land as well. Would you care to help me find one? I prefer water types, maybe the stream has some cool water pokemon?" Piemur said, Hoping that Hannah would be of some assistance, after all he never had battled a wild pokemon before. Some might say it was quite lucky he caught his Chinchou. |

(( I assume you'd like me to mod the wild Pokemon? If so, just let me know what kind of Pokemon you had in mind. c: )) "You haven't battled very much? Maybe I could help with that, I have a baby vulpix that needs- oh, that sounds great!" Hannah excitedly cut her own self off at the mention of helping Piemur catch a more land-based water Pokemon. It was a highly fascinating prospect for her, considering how she'd never really gotten the chance to watch other trainers in action before. All the other times she'd been had the opportunity to see how trainers battled other Pokemon were when facing Umbrans, and since she was usually caught up with her own battles, it certainly wasn't as leisurely as watching a tournament in the bleachers. So, with a broad smile on her face, she put a finger in mouth and whistled softly, summoning Honey to her side. "Did you hear that, baby? We're going to help them find a Pokemon." She beamed. |

(( Well, I was thinking so, but not quite ready for the battle yet)) Piemur beamed at Hannah, seeing the excitement in her eye's as she called her large bear over to share in her happiness. Piemur smiled as he listened to Hannah, it was nice to meet some random person in the woods and have them be such a nice person. "Hey thats really awesome. Thanks so much for the help... But would it be to forward of me to ask if you could have your Milotic help to teach some water attacks to Chinchou?" Piemur asked unsure of his new friends response. "It's just that I think the only attack Chinchou knows is Spark... While its a great attack, He doesn't seem to know much about water moves, your milotic would be a great teacher!" Piemur said, passing the compliment to the pokemon. "Chinchou, get over here. It's time for us to do some training." Piemur said, pulling his pokeball from his hip pouch. He watched the fish pokemon retreat into the pokeball. |

(( I really have to apologize for how late this is; I'm currently being drowned by school work, a job, and chronic narcolepsy and a menagerie of other illnesses that would require way too much effort to go into. But! Going back to your capture, which water Pokemon do you want me to mod? You wouldn't necessarily need to battle it to capture it, and I'm sure Hannah wouldn't mind assisting him in any way. I just need to know what you have in mind~ )) Hannah's smile grew even wider (if that were possible) when Cher was brought into the equation, "She's a little vain, but I'm sure she'd love to teach your Chinchou. Now, I wonder if there's enough room for her out here..." The dark-haired trainer intentionally trailed off, turning to look at the space around to see whether or not the large, serpentine Pokemon had enough room to slither freely throughout the underbrush. She didn't even really stop to ask if Piemur intended to do the training with her now or later, but Hannah never passed up a golden opportunity to show off the most brilliant member of her team. Satisfied with the amount of space, Hannah flicked her wrist and tossed the Pokeball onto the ground, where a slender figure became apparent from the ray of light. Almost as if it had practiced such an entrance, Cher lifted her head and swung it a bit to face the trainers, letting the last little bit of sparkles from the capsule 'drip' from her pink tendrils. It was obvious from this alone that she knew how beautiful she was, nor was she afraid to flaunt it. "Cher, this is Piemur and Chinchou. We're going to help them find a water Pokemon and help teach Chinchou some water moves - you can do that, can't you?" Hannah placed her hand on the serpent's scaly belly, still grinning. The Milotic gazed down at the boy and his fish, seemed a bit put off at first, but then sighed, turning her head away and muttering a simper, 'mi'c.' in approval. |
