Find help, she told him as she gently awakened their charges. He had watched as his twin whispered to their younger selves that they needed to get ready for an adventure to be remembered. As the blue and red Dragons groggily responded with curious chirps, he brushed against his twin with worried affection. His twin placed her head against his and shut her eyes as he did. Protect the children.

The elder Latios glanced behind him at the eagerly following pair of Eon Pokemon. They vaguely remembered their elder Latias promising an adventure if they followed him and so they did, accepting the indirect order easily in their half asleep states. Danger will come then go, and when that happens, they can return.

Please be safe.

It was then that an inquiring chirp decided to break his train of thoughts and catch his attention. Why had they left elder Latias behind? It was simple, really. It was the Latios’ duty to teach the young more about the lives they must live and the responsibilities that come with their being what they are. While the Latios did so, it was Latias’ duty to watch over the home and protect it from intruders. Both responsibilities, as dull as they may sound, are dangerous.

But why, the younger Latios pressed, was the adventure outside of Hoenn? The answer to that was simple as well. This adventure was different from the adventures other twins would have- this adventure was special. A special adventure for a special pair of twins, right? Much to the elder Latios’ relief, that seemed to satisfy his younger counterpart.

The elder watched, the look of wariness in his eyes softening as worry receded to the edges of his mind. Find help. She had told him. Protect the children. She had insisted...

It felt right to the younger Latios to be told that he and his twin were special. And he would have bought the reason if hadn’t known the truth of the matter. Was it really so serious that his elder had come up with such a smooth lie? Would he learn to lie as easily in case of a similar situation?

He had kept his discovery to himself, for some reason not even daring to tell his twin of it, though he was certain that she was aware of the air of reluctance about him. Perhaps this was the first step to mastering lies. And so the younger male Eon Pokemon dutifully followed his elder, poking fun at his twin all the while, as they continued to race after their leader.

His mind continued to return to the truth all the while.

It was late that night, before they had been seen off for their adventure, that the problems arose. The younger Latios had been sleeping soundly beside his twin, exhausted by the nonstop play during the day, when a disturbance brought him to waking. With a quiet yawn, he lifted his head to peer into the darkness of the night, it being cold and cloudy with threats of rain, and he wondered why he had woken up.

Just when he thought it was nothing, he heard it- it was a familiar battle cry only low and muffled. His elder counterpart was in a battle somewhere in the distance and seemed to be trying to avoid waking him and his twin up. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he concentrated on his curiosity to speed up the waking process before carefully untangling himself from his sister. Once done, he attempted manipulating what little light he could, eventually deciding he would instead toy with the darkness, and disappeared into the night.

What he saw confused him.

His elders were both locked in battle against this group of trainers- wasn’t it their duty to protect the humans of Hoenn?- with each human using two Pokemon. It was obvious that the elder twins were outnumbered, though neither showed any signs of weakening, and it appeared that this held no important matter.

Eventually the shadows of passing clouds enveloped the battle scene causing the combatants to pause as they waited to be able to see again. What happened next made the humans speak words he had never heard before and didn’t understand. He did, however, understand what had just happened.

The elder Lati twins had melted into the shadows of the night and left the battle more than likely to reach him and his sister. He hesitated returning, however, and instead warily circled the four humans. They were talking about capturing the Latios and Latias that had just escaped, but why would humans try to catch legendaries?

As the people talked, he learned more and more of the darkness in people’s hearts and his blissful ignorance slowly evaporated. Humans weren’t meant to be protected, though it would someday be his duty to go to the general population’s aid when the need arises, and they weren’t creatures to trust. No, far from it.

And so he turned away to return to Latias’ side, eyes as dark as his realizations, without sparing a glance to those that wished him harm. Arriving at his twin’s side, seeing how neither of their caretakers had appeared yet, he settled back down and shut his eyes without much hope of sleep. It would only be a few hours later, just as he was finally falling asleep, that elder Latias would coax them to wake up.

It would only be a few hours later that he and his sister would flee from home in hopes of finding somewhere safer to hide. And, little did any of the three know, it was during those few hours of escaping the Hoenn region that elder Latias would be captured to keep the hunters busy.

Yuki watched as the Latias reached for the bottle of water in his hand. Not daring move in case his action frightened the Pokemon off even more. The smile, at least, was encouraging and so he decided there was a mild sense of trust between him and the young Eon Pokemon.

Of course it was cut short, as bothersome as this was to the trainer, when something distracted the Pokemon. The dull irritation quickly dispersed, however, when he reminded himself that this girl before wasn't just any girl. It was the female legendary Latias.

Every Latias had a male counterpart. "Is it Latios?" Yuki murmured quietly to himself as he quietly clapped his hands together. In the process of putting his gloves together, the bottled water burst back into numerical data before slipping back into the palms of either glove.

There was a soft whine from Surya, the Puppy uncertainly wagging his tail as he too watched Latias, before the Pokemon nudged Aiko towards Yuki. He wanted the Bagon to return to their trainer's backpack, the boy never actually putting the young Dragon in a Pokeball to claim it, as he suspected that a bit of traveling would soon be in order.

And so, while Yuki pondered approaching the young girl to look out at the now brightening sky beside her, he stiffened as the Docile Dragon took hold of his pant leg to start climbing. Glancing down at the Bagon, curiously watching as it scaled his right leg, the teen tilted his head slightly with a thoughtful frown touching his features.

"You're getting a work-out." The Umbran commented lightly as Aiko eventually clung to his lowered arm and began climbing up that. Of course this was made easier as the youth lifted his arm over his head so that the Bagon was now upside down, clinging desperately to the arm, and peering down Yuki's head.

The teen's head, for whatever reason, pleased Aiko as she releashed her trainer's arm and plopped down onto Yuki's head. This caused him to flinch, hard head meeting not-as-hard head, and Yuki stumbled slightly forward while reaching for the Bagon to keep it from clinging to his hair.

Well, now that he had taken an unintentional step or two towards Latias, he might as well keep going. Brushing Aiko onto his shoulder so he could rub the top of his head, an almost unnoticeable pulsing starting up in his head, his yellow eyes glanced down at the small child that was now beside him to see the Pokemon's reaction.

However Latias reacted, if noticing him at all, Yuki would then look to the outside surroundings and take in the sight as the sun rose gently from the distance. Instead searching for a Latios, the scientist watched the sunrise and absently pointed it out to Aiko. "Someday you'll Fly out there and complete this mesmerizing view."

Without surprise, Aiko nodded eagerly as her normally unreadable eyes twinkled in delight. Flight. That was her dream, and she knew that she would accomplish it as long as she stuck by Yuki and the others. They were supporting her, as Surya just proved with his indoor yip and wag of tail, and would watch her soar through the skies.

As Aiko and Surya continued to imagine what it would look like for a Bagon to be flying, Yuki sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Where is the little one's twin?"

~

Latios shuddered, trying to control his wild sobbing, as he did his best to stay standing against the tree. He was so tempted to just let his weak, wobbling human legs to give in and force him to the ground. But no, the older twin had to stay strong despite the shocking revelation.

How would Latias react if she found him in such a messy state? Admittedly, his current state was the worst he had ever been in, and he certainly didn't need his twin to see it. There would be boundless worry that was far from needed at this point. It was more important to concentrate on their elder Latios.

Speaking of elder Latios, he was the last Pokemon the younger Latios wanted to see at this moment. ~What are you crying about now?~ Latios could hear those words echo in his mind, somehow putting a smile on his pale lips, when his thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a slightly familiar foreign mind.

Recalling that he was also in the presence of a trainer and trainer-owned Pokemon, Latios quickly rubbed at his eyes to dispel the remaining tears before accepting the Ralts' words. The blue Eon Pokemon would accept Chiara's actions, for now, as he worked out what to do next.

Certainly the first thing on his To-Do list would to lose the human and the Pokemon that came with it. Quickly following that would be tracking down his twin- what was that? Looking up toward the sky, a sky that he couldn't see very well from his position against the tree, Latios shot his eyes to concentrate better.

He could have sworn he had heard Latias, but surely that was impossible? They would need a stronger bond than they currently had, even twins had to work to strengthen a bond, and they would have to be together as well as in sync to further better the bond.

As he focused on the source that he desperately hoped was his sister, a human hand suddenly took hold of his shoulder and gently tried to turn him around. Still, because Latios had lost himself within his own thoughts and failed to notice Xaviero approach, Latios uttered a silent cry of surprise as his body was turned around.

Swiftly he clasped a hand over his mouth, as if he had actually let loose an audible yelp, and tried to silence his loud pounding heart so that he could hear the Italian's soft words. All the young boy managed to gather out of the man's words were "I won't leave you alone" and "You've nothing to worry about."

Those were terrible things to hear! Latios, in response to Xaviero's statements, recoiled indignantly. The human would leave him alone! There was something to worry about! But the foolish creature knew nothing of his worries! Latios tried to shake Xaviero's hand off as he made to step back. What had he just thought?

Of course the human knew nothing of his situation; he had told the person nothing. But there was a way to tell the man something, wasn't there? He couldn't speak, not with actual vocals, but he could still tell the person something, right? ~You...~ Latios mouthed, hoping to form the word correctly, before stopping abruptly.

Pulling his mind away from those that surrounded him, Latios then thrust it out in search of what he had just heard. ~Latias! Where are you!?~ It wasn't his imagination- he had really come into contact with his twin! Spinning around as best he could, he shut his eyes and concentrated on the connection.

He could feel Latias' presence now, though just barely. Of course the distance couldn't be that great between them if they were in contact. Briefly his red eyes turned white as he stumbled away from the Umbran scientist, one hand up as if to say "One minute," and suddenly he was able to see everything around him without turning his head.

Latios could see Xaviero and his Pokemon nearby, could see all the trees around them, and the sky above. He was Sight-Sharing, not turning his head at all to keep the trainer from seeing his eyes, and waited for Latias to let him know if she could see this. ~Find me.~

Latias continued to watch the sky a few seconds longer, hesitating before turning away in case she had missed some sign of the small Dragon flying for her. She held onto one tiny spark of hope that had managed to snake its way through the despair of never seeing her family again. Slowly, her eyelids slid shut and she let out a soft sigh. Now that the initial rush of adrenaline from hearing her brother's voice had faded, she felt an overwhelming sense of exhaustion that threatened to drag her into a soft slumber.

Sleep was tempting, she realized when she felt herself sway slightly as her exhausted body implored her to rest before she finished the search. She took in another light breath as her sleepiness started to cloud her mind and slow her movements. With eyes still shut, she sat down next to the jacket that had slid from her shoulders and tentatively reached out for the warm fabric. Just before her fingers brushed against the black jacket, she heard the quiet inquiry from Yuki, which caused her eyes to slowly open, golden irises studying the human for a moment as her tired mind worked out the meanings of the words. She dipped her head slightly in a nod that made her head spin before she closed her eyes once more.

The Dragon was not intending to fall asleep, merely rest her body for a short amount of time. Her mind was filled with endless possibilities as to why she had heard her brother. The most prominent was he had to be nearby. This brought a tiny smile to her now calm features as she slowly readjusted herself, legs bent so she was sitting on her calves with her hands resting atop her thighs as she moved.

With her eyes closed, she felt sleep tugging at her lightly, but she pushed it off, not wanting to miss the chance to hear her brother again. She settled down and calmed herself to a state of complete relaxation as her mind wandered, reaching out to find that of her twin's.

Subtly, an image snaked its way into her mind, showing her a vast field of green. She tilted her head slightly, curious about the picture painting itself in her mind. It was so dark, but she could see the pastel hues of the impending dawn in the distance. It was so... Peaceful looking from the distance. An instant later, she felt her mind delving closer to the image, noticing the green break off into separate trees, then branches, and eventually the leaves and needles. She turned her mind's eye, surveying the image that had somehow implanted itself, eventually noticing some signs of life below her.

Diving even closer, she saw a small boy, a human, and a rather intimidating Pokemon with it. Curiously, she approached the image, heart racing in her chest as she felt a sense of familiarity about him. She extended her mind to touch the human child, only to recoil when she heard her brother's voice bidding her to follow.

The sudden mental contact startled her, causing her to immediately open her own eyes and stand up a little too swiftly for comfort, judging by the sudden, brief wave of dizziness that hit her. She blinked in confusion as she continued to see the human child in the forest, mouth slightly agape until a sudden realization hit her.

Sight-Sharing.

That was it: the chance she needed to find her brother. ~I'm coming,~ she told the human form she believed to be Latios. Her heart skipped a beat as the illusion of the human child immediately faded away, leaving the small red and white Dragon-type levitating in midair. She cast one look to the human behind her, golden eyes softening before she gave him a genuine smile, dipping her head in an attempt to wordlessly thank Yuki before her departure.

Without warning, she shot herself through the mouth of the cave, moving as quickly as her tiny body would propel her through the air, searching for the place where the landscapes around her melded with the image in her mind's eye with little regard for who or what could see the young legendary darting out into the open.

It didn't take long at all for the Eon Pokemon to make her way to the area with a young boy and a larger, much more intimidating looking human and Pokemon. She blinked, faltering for a split second. ~Brother...?~ she tentatively called out. She heard a branch crack behind her somewhere, and she flinched.

At that moment, Latias realized just how much trouble she could have potentially gotten herself into. She was vulnerable and very conspicuous: a red and white legendary Pokemon child should not be out in the open alone. Feeling her heart race in her chest, she took in a trembling breath.

As the air expanded her lungs, a sudden realization struck the young Pokemon: she could turn invisible at will. Blinking, she exhaled slowly and vanished as she reflected light off of herself and faded from sight, unaware that a pair of scarlet eyes had caught a glimpse of her before she seemingly disappeared into thin air.

~Brother!! We have to go!~ She let her eyes wander to the human and his Pokemon next to him and cringed when she saw the larger, black canine staring at her location. It couldn't know she was there, could it? She was invisible...

When a snarl came from the Houndoom in front of her, she let out a startled cry and her focus shattered, causing her invisibility to falter. With wide, frightened eyes, she stared at Hanabi, paralyzed by her fear when she realized that there was now a pair of nearly black human eyes gazing down at her as well.

--

As Latios recoiled, Xaviero blinked, slightly surprised at the action. He withdrew his hand, noticing the obvious discomfort it caused, and a humorless laugh managed to escape his lips. This seemed familiar, he realized with a nod. Perhaps using what he believed to be a friendly, reassuring touch to the shoulder was not the best idea in the world. After all, this was the second time that tactic was negatively responded to.

Xaviero raised one eyebrow as the boy moved away further, only to turn and begin to mouth something. Was the child about to run? He wouldn't doubt it. Glancing to Chiara, who followed Latios and once again moved to hug at his leg, he frowned slightly. Something seemed off about the entire situation, aside from the fact that there was a young child wandering alone in what he would venture to say was one of the more dangerous, feral areas of Aerei.

Chiara frowned as she tuned into Latios' emotional roller coaster. She moved closer, touching his mind, trying to convey that her trainer would try and help him if that's what Xaviero said. She attempted to comfort Latios in the best way she could, tilting her head up to him and smiling reassuringly.

She was interrupted however, when a sharp wave of foreign panic coming from somewhere behind the boy caused her to flinch as she stifled a startled cry. She turned her head to look, only to see nothing there. Frowning, she turned back to Latios, only to be interrupted by a sharp growl coming from Hanabi.

Xaviero blinked, hearing the feral sounds coming from her throat and snapped his attention to where Hanabi now stood, staring down at a small red and white Pokemon. He blinked a few more times in confusion, briefly trying to convince himself that what he saw in front of him was not real.

For a split second, a spark of anger filled the Umbran as he was forced to remember a failed experiment from his time in Johto; an experiment that became so time consuming, it cost him almost everything that was important to him. In that fleeting moment, he felt nothing but hatred toward what he saw, the raw pain of losing almost an entire team, of losing one's first Pokemon and family, arising and fueling his anger.

Instinctively, his hands clenched together, and he opened his mouth, prepared to order Hanabi to do whatever she saw fit to the small, obviously terrified Latias hovering in front of him. He stared down at the small Pokemon for a few seconds longer, breath held in his lungs as he realized the size of this Pokemon. It was smaller than the one he remembered. Frowning, his gaze drifted across the wooded area. There had to be a Latios around, and a larger one with it.

Chiara gave a soft, startled cry at the sudden, overwhelming feeling of rage and pain emanating from her trainer, and she shook her head slightly, Teleporting to Xaviero's side and pressing against his leg as she clutched it tightly, silently willing her trainer to calm as she turned to look at the source of her trainer's anguish.

She was shocked to see what was there, and surprised by the sudden wave of anger that she, too felt toward the young Pokemon she saw in front of her. The anger frightened her, and immediately dissipated as she realized just what was in front of her. A Latias was not something to feel anger toward, and she was fully aware of this. She smiled in wonder as she looked upon the frightened child before Teleporting in front of her, positioning herself in between Hanabi and the small Hoenn native legend.

With Chiara in front of her, Hanabi faltered for a split second, sending an unsure glance over her shoulder to her trainer, who blinked, his anger giving way to a wary annoyance with the presence of the legendary in front of him. He gazed coldly at the Latias and snapped his fingers, commanding his Houndoom to return to his side as he turned his head to glance at the boy the Eon Pokemon seemed so interested in.

Yuki watched quietly as the Latias revealed just how exhausted it really was. He was tempted to reach for the Pokemon and hold it close so that it could sleep, but the idea was swiftly dismissed as the Latias was quite wary of humans as far as Yuki could tell. Instead he'd have to be patient with the young Eon Pokemon and glanced down at his Pokemon.

"All right, training is over." He informed the team rather indifferently before pulling out two Poke Balls and returning Elina and Surya. Once the Growlithe and Weavile disappeared, the trainer replaced the two Poke Balls onto his belt with the distinct feeling that he'd be needing either Pokemon eventually.

After this was done, he tucked the Bagon back into his bag, the Pokemon appearing to be tired as well, and turned to peer down at the Latias once again only to visibly tense as he abruptly found himself in a forest. Standing scarcely two paces away from him was Xaviero who appeared to be watching a young boy.

At first the Umbran was puzzled at what he was seeing before he recalled the ability to "sight-share," as it was referred to upon the discovery of the ability, that the Eon twins alone were capable of. The boy, Yuki determined, was the Latios which he had previously questioned the whereabouts of.

Suddenly the image started to fade, though Yuki kept the details he observed sharp in his mind's eye. As soon as the surrounding returned to that of the cave he had entered to train Elina, the teen's gaze fell upon the red and white Dragon which happened to look up at him at the same time.

Just as the Latias nodded to him in silent gratitude, a sleek cell phone appeared in one of Yuki's hands while a Pokeball appeared in the other. Then the Pokemon was gone, speeding off most likely to the boy with blue hair and, what Yuki inferred, red eyes. Without a second thought, the boy dropped the enlarged Poke Ball which promptly released an Alakazam.

"You have been stealing glimpses of my mind since day one together, haven't you?" The look of wary alarm on his Pokemon's face was all the answer Yuki needed as he waved the matter off. "You're not in trouble, Chase." He paused, listening to the Alakazam's sigh of relief, before flipping upon his phone and peering at the object thoughtfully.

The teen quirked a brow, contemplating something he hadn't done in a long while, before deciding to simply text the person he needed to get into contact with. It took perhaps fifteen seconds to type what he needed to be typed, a full keyboard was rather useful at times, before hitting Send and snapping the device closed.

At that moment he noticed his Pokemon had placed the dropped Poke Ball onto his belt; a ghost of a smile occupied his lips briefly before disappearing back into a look of neutrality. "I have an image in mind, a place that I want to go to; can you do it?" The question, Yuki knew, was unnecessary as Chase smiled in response.

The Pokemon had already peeked into his trainer's mind, silently taking in the sharp detail of this place where Xaviero and Hanabi occupied. Chase was rather impressed that the Umbran still had the image so clear despite being occupied with something else. With the image so clear in Chase's mind, the Alakazam's eyes started to turn blue in preparation for the Teleport. All that was needed now would be the actual instruction to do so.

Yuki watched Chase closely, taking not of the faint blue glow in his Pokemon's eyes. The command was shared in that moment of eye contact and, in absolute silence, the pair disappeared from the cave only to reappear at Yuki's destination. The two stood several steps apart and, to Yuki's mild amusement, the teen was a step behind Xaviero.

Chase, meanwhile, was off to the side a bit and had full view of what was going on and what he saw didn't please him.

Latios was practically the living dead as he was so exhausted after successfully completing the sight-share. It nearly depleted him of all his energy with only his will keeping him on his feet at this point, but it was worth it as he heard his twin's voice and she was coming.

Latias was coming!

It was a miracle that he managed to connect to his twin and even more so that they had become so close despite being so far. A weary grin graced his lips before tensing when he noticed the Ralts reaching to hug his leg again. Still, the small psychic was from his home region and so the boy kept the tired grin as he peered down at the Pokemon.

At that moment a whirlwind of confusion erupted causing the boy to twirl around, eyes narrowed in an exhausted wariness, and witness the appearance of his twin. Foolish! He had been so preoccupied with the idea of success that he had failed to listen for his twin's voice to call him forth!

Because of this self-absorption, his twin had been spotted by the frightening hound and revealed herself to everything around. An overwhelming feeling of protectiveness washed over the young male Eon Pokemon which gave him enough strength and courage to contemplate taking on this Houndoom when the boy paused.

Just as he was about to run to his sister's side, the Ralts Teleported itself between the dog and his twin. A look of brief confusion flickered into his eyes before his gaze hardened and he ran over to Latias, flinging his arms around the Dragon as he didn't dare reveal he was the Eon Pokemon's twin.

With his mind directed only to Latias, the boy cried out in delight ~You're here!~ An audible sigh of relief escaped his pale human liips as he telepathically added ~You're safe.~ At that moment however, he remembered Xaviero's presence and dared to look up at the man just as Xaviero glanced toward him.

Latios knew that the human was suspicious, he could instinctively tell, and felt fear start to bubble within him. Humans were dangerous and evil creatures; to reveal himself to Xaviero would be an invitation of destruction upon the twins for sure. But what was he supposed to do? What was he expected to do?

What would elder Latios do!

"Lost boy, blue hair, red eyes and even wearing blue and white clothing." The voice was alien to Latios and, upon hearing it, the Pokemon glanced fearfully over to watch as another human stepped from behind Xaviero. How long had that human been hiding? To Latios's horror, he couldn't read this human despite being able to see those yellow-

Yellow eyes? There was a moment of confusion as Latios peered up at the younger Umbran before recognition lit up his features in what appeared to be mixed emotions of guilt and wonder. It was that human which wasn't human! Then the child blinked at that thought, a human that wasn't human. Wasn't that what Latios was at the moment?

A Pokemon! The male with yellow eyes must be a Pokemon, just disguised as a human similar to Latios himself! Latios's heart fluttered as he realized how coy that yellow-eyed Pokemon truly was, blending in with humans and acting as if he really was one of them. That was the sly action that his elders often lectured about.

Almost without meaning to, a wide, childish grin snaked its way onto Latios's facial features as he shyly turned his attention to Latias. ~That yellow-eyed Pokemon has come to save us from the human!~ He paused, considering the possibility that Latias didn't know about Yuki's being a Pokemon before hastily adding, ~He has the same eyes as a Bagon I saw - he's in disguise!~

While the Latios conversed silently with his twin, Yuki glanced up at Xaviero. "I knew I lost him somewhere on the way to the Ancient Caverns..." He trailed off as he noticed Latias and went silent as he stared at the female Eon Pokemon as if he hadn't expected to see one. "Is that the - no, it's smaller. A child?" At that, his gaze flickered over to Xaviero.

"Should I be concerned that my charge is hugging a legendary?"

Despite the presence of the large Dark Pokemon that stared down with glowing, red eyes, and a human who looked down on them with such hatred in his gaze, Latias couldn’t help but allow a tiny smile to cross her draconic features as she was reunited with her brother. The Eon Pokemon felt a wave of relief that they were together again—even if they were facing what could potentially be a life-threatening situation. For a few seconds, it seemed as if in the excitement of finding her twin, she had forgotten about the danger in front of them as she wrapped her tiny arms around her brother’s human body when he approached her. Golden eyes slid shut for a moment, and in that split second, she felt calm for the first time since they had arrived to this strange land that seemed to be the epitome of uninviting. As she clung to her brother, she realized just how exhausted she really was for the umpteenth time that night, and felt sleep trying to steal her away. Desperately, she shook her head, trying to clear it from the threats of sleep, reminding herself that she had just been reunited with her brother! It was no time for sleep! That could come later.

It was not until a Ralts Teleported in front of the Eon twins that Latias’ eyes snapped open and her weary mind was forced to return to reality. A sudden tendril of fear snaked its way into her heart, causing her to tremble as she cowered in her brother’s visibly human arms, a startled whine escaping her mouth, despite her desperate attempt to keep it hidden. She blinked, however, when she realized that Chiara was standing in front of them and staring up defiantly at the Houndoom that had seemed bent on tearing out their throats just moments before. She glanced to her brother, fear causing tears to make her eyes glisten and sting as the salty liquid filled them, only to be cut off before she could say anything by the sudden appearance of yet another human, and a large Pokemon as well. She frowned, feeling despair fill her heart and flinched. How would they escape with not one, but two humans watching them?

Latias blinked to clear the tears in her eyes, as well as her vision, and her face immediately lit up in recognition at the brown hair and yellow eyes. It was the human from the cave! She pulled her head away from her brother’s chest and looked up at him, golden eyes bright. ~Brother! That’s—~ she began, only to be cut off by Latios’ sudden outburst. He, too, seemed just as excited about the human as she was! That had to be a good sign. She tilted her head curiously at the idea of Yuki being a Pokemon. Hadn’t he had Pokeballs and controlled other Pokemon, she wondered, only to dismiss the thought, as thinking about the concept of a Pokemon owning other Pokemon made her sleepy mind spin. Perhaps he was a really clever Pokemon, pretending to own others! Perhaps they were saved!

Xaviero, meanwhile, visibly flinched at the sudden spoken language behind him, immediately recognizing the voice to be Yuki’s. Without turning to face the younger scientist, he dipped his head slightly, though his eyes remained locked on the Latias and boy, as well as his own Ralts, who had seemed to decide to protect the legendary, much to his own slight irritation.“Yuki,” he acknowledged. He raised an eyebrow as he mentally went over the list of attributes Yuki provided.

Blue and white clothing, blue hair, red eyes—Could that be the missing twin in disguise? But what would Yuki be doing with a Latios?

The question was quickly dismissed as he reminded himself that this was Yuki he was considering. The scientist tended to do odd things on a fairly frequent basis, after all. Briefly, he remembered when Yuki was working in his lab in Johto; how he cared for the legendaries in the possession of Xaviero’s lab to ensure they didn’t die before that experiment went up in flames. Quite literally.

Xaviero sighed, allowing himself to relax and he closed his eyes for a moment as he scratched at Hanabi’s black fur absentmindedly. Regardless of Yuki’s reason for traveling with the male Eon Pokemon, it was none of his business. As Yuki continued to speak, Xaviero remained stoic faced as he listened to him describe losing track of his “charge” on their way to the Ancient Caverns. When he opened his eyes once more, they focused on Latios for a brief moment. “Should I be concerned that your charge was discovered wandering unattended through Mt. Stella?” he halfheartedly countered, though his voice didn’t contain any accusatory tones. “Chiara,” he called softly, beckoning for the Ralts to return to him.

The Ralts, who was preoccupied by the presence of Latias, the legend of the land her species originated from, behind her, blinked from behind the green helmet that shielded her eyes and glanced to Xaviero, only to telepathically and respectfully give her apologies to the two she stood in front of, for her trainer’s actions. He was really quite kind, she tried to assure them, but she knew that her words would likely be ignored by the legendary Pokemon. After all, why would something of Latias’ power pay any attention to her? And that human boy? If he were able to hold onto Latias like that, she must trust him, making him just as honorable to the small Psychic. With an apologetic smile, she Teleported back to her trainer’s side, landing atop Hanabi’s back, arms reaching out to hold onto the black fur around her neck.

Latias blinked, suddenly aware of the fact that the Ralts was speaking to her, and she glanced to her brother curiously. What would he think about the Pokemon? It belonged to the same human that owned the scary Houndoom! Could it be trusted? – Before she could say anything or consult her brother, however, the Pokemon was gone in the blink of an eye. The Eon Pokemon tilted her head curiously, looking around. Where did it go? Oh! It was sitting on the deadly dog that could have ended her life with one swift movement of her jaw. It seemed that the Ralts was friendly enough with the Houndoom. Perhaps Latias could befriend it too…? Her sleepy mind tried to justify a reason for it, perhaps because she too wanted to snuggle atop the Houndoom and rest. Whatever the reason, she shook her head to clear her thoughts.

~Brother…~ She squirmed a bit from within his embrace, pulling back as she noticed the human and the Pokemon-human that had saved her earlier watching them. She looked up to her brother, eyes filled with worry for a moment as she waited for him to decide what they were to do. He would know, right? He had never failed her before. And Latias had faith that he wouldn’t fail this time. He would get them back home to Hoenn soon enough, she was certain.

The Eon Pokemon trembled a bit, feeling the harsh gaze from Xaviero on her, but hardly reacting. She was quickly tiring to the point that she didn’t care if the humans saw her, or what they would do to her. With a sigh, she realized that their chances for escape were lowering with the two humans. Wait. Only one human, she reminded herself, shaking her head sleepily, trying to clear the fog in her mind. She desperately needed sleep, and she could feel her body shaking as it protested against her staying awake any longer. It was on the verge of just shutting down for a while to regenerate lost energy. Her head began to bob downward as she felt herself nodding off, but she could hardly fight sleep anymore. She felt her body being tugged downward by the force of gravity before she collapsed, barely managing a quiet, almost unintelligible mumble of ~I’m sorry…~ before she dropped to the ground with a soft thud.

Xaviero frowned at the sight of the collapsing Latias and sighed, his eyes closing for a brief moment as he struggled with a paternal instinct to protect the child rather than hate it. Silently, he cursed his weakness for children before daring to step closer to the legendaries, eyes quickly darting to the boy who was beside her. "I only want to take a look at her," he announced before making another slow step toward the Latias and boy that he suspected to be her twin.

Latios was worried. It wasn't so much the situation, he was confident that the Pokemon in disguise would protect him and his twin, but the fact that he could feel his sister's mind slipping from consciousness. Still, he had to stay strong for his twin and the boy glanced up almost defiantly at Xaviero despite Chiara's words. When the Ralts Teleported over to its Houndoom friend, Latios turned his attention briefly back to the yellow-eyed creature.

It occurred to him that his twin also knew the Pokemon and, because of this, Latios's confidence grew further. If his sister liked the Pokemon, then he knew that his trust in the yellow-eyed creature was well-placed. When Xaviero spoke a word, Yuki, in reference to the yellow-eyed one, Latios immediately inferred that the 'human' was known as a Yuki.

For a moment Yuki and Latios shared a look, one as impassive as ever and the other shining with a growing defiance. It felt to Latios that Yuki was imparting something important to him, to keep the latter's true identity a secret perhaps, and Latios visibly nodded. His attention shifted back to Latias however as the female Eon Pokemon murmured his name and the boy realized a bit late that his twin was about to succumb to unconsciousness.

It took all the strength in him to keep the other from just dropping to the ground. He ended up kneeling down, Latias's head resting on his lap, and the boy panted at the minor exertion. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, but a small and frail human body could only handle so much.

When the young Latios heard heavy footsteps approach however, the Pokemon's head snapped up and peered darkly up at Xaviero. He shook his head furiously while wrapping both arms protectively around Latias's neck to emphasis his disapproval. "My charge tends to overreact," The Latios, hearing Yuki's voice, peered up at the disguised Pokemon in obvious confusion.

What was all this talk about charges? As Latios thought about it, the Xaviero human seemed to recognize Yuki for the white one actually named the black one. A dark thought crossed Latios's mind and the Pokemon glowered disapprovingly at both humans. Was Yuki actually a human?

Why is everything in this place confusing! I don't know what to do.

"I had a late discovery of bad blood between my charge and a Hydreigon." Here the Umbran mixed his information a bit. It was an instinct of his that led him to Giovanni many, many years ago and, eventually, to Xaviero. Due to this, his skill to mix and match information had come to the point of unnoticeable; his impassive nature naturally helped with this. "I take a few minutes to handle one Dragon, notice the boy is gone, and then I'm interrupted by another Dragon; its mate, probably."

Upon noticing Xaviero approach the pair of Eon Pokemon, Yuki snapped his fingers and envisioned himself standing on the other side of the Latias. Thankfully his Alakazam seemed to understand what it was that he wanted the younger Umbran was quickly Teleported over to the Eon Pokemon. His sudden appearance enticed a startled, silent cry from Latios as his vocals weren't shaped to meet the requirements of speech.

Again their eyes met and the already nonexistent cry seemed to cut off. "You're powerless," Yuki whispered as he slowly knelt down and extended a hand to the pale young boy. Although Latios recoiled at the gesture, Yuki persisted. "But Xaviero and I are not." There was a tense moment of silence between the two as Latios thought about this.

To the young Pokemon's horror, it was true. There were two Pokemon out and under loyalties to the Xaviero human. If the human wanted to harm either Eon Pokemon, then death would happen. For a moment a smug smile spread across his features as he thought this. Elder Latios would be so proud, He thought bitterly, His wisdom is finally rubbing off on me. With an overdone sigh of defeat, Latios risked touching Yuki's gloved hand and lightly tapped it with a finger before throwing his arms back around Latias's neck.

This, at least, was a start.

"So you accept your weakness?" When the Latios reluctantly nodded, Yuki added, "Then you allow Xaviero to approach." At that, Latios peered up at the young scientist with a chilling stare, one that revealed all the Pokemon's opinions of humans without actually bringing it up. Then the pale boy looked to Xaviero and reluctantly nodded. Yuki, taking this as another step to getting his way, pulled his hand back and glanced indifferently at Xaviero.

"What runs through your mind, Xaviero?" Yuki inquired quietly, his tone revealing nothing of his own thoughts. One thing was clear however: Yuki was on the legendaries' side this fine morning. To emphasis this, Chase appeared on the other side of Latios which made the latter flinch involuntarily.

Latias, once her head was resting on her brother's lap, instinctively curled up in her sleep, as if she were trying to unconsciously shrink and be shielded by her twin brother. Her small arms raised towards her face as she lay in a state of utter vulnerability. She really hadn't intended to succumb to her exhaustion, and when she awoke, she would be very disappointed because that is how she believed her elders would react; they would be disappointed that she could be so weak in a situation like this.

The small Eon Pokemon frowned in her sleep, a tiny, frightened whine escaping from her as she shuddered, curling up closer, as if even in her sleep, she was aware of the human that approached them. The Dragon's body tensed up, attempting to reject the presence of Xaviero as well as she could in her sleep. Her mind raced with dark images of a larger black Dragon chasing her, and humans, and elder Latios and Latias.

Xaviero listened to Yuki's explanation with a tiny, almost unnoticeable frown on his features before nodding. It was just like the teen to lose track of something once distracted. He often seemed to lose his way anyway, why would this be any different? The Italian sighed and looked down at the Pokemon and boy, watching as Yuki appeared, almost protectively, next to the child and the Latias he clung to. He would be protective of them, the elder scientist thought. He respected legendaries. That much, Xaviero was certain of. But that was irrelevant since the scientist had no intentions of causing harm to the young children.

Quite the opposite, in fact. Frowning, he watched Yuki interact with the child, who then nodded, signalling he was ok with the Italian approaching.

When Xaviero stepped closer, he knelt down to look at the child, who still appeared quite frightened about the whole ideal, and he was overtly protective over the Latias who slept on his lap. The Pokemon was exhausted-- Beyond exhausted. The scientist was sure that the child had to be getting close to that point as well.

When Yuki inquired softly as to what he was thinking, Xaviero kept his gaze planted on Latios, studying the child's features for anything that would confirm his suspicion that this may be a Pokemon in disguise. After all, the child could not speak. He had the right color scheme as well. "What's on my mind?" he repeated, almost absentmindedly as he formed an answer.

"I would like to know why there is such a young Latias about without her counterpart, and what a hatchling would be doing without the protection of an elder Latios," he responded after a few seconds of thoughtful silence and an intense inspection of the pair in front of him. He lifted his gaze from the Eon twins and looked beyond them, straightening up with a sigh. Although his expression remained somewhat blank, he knew that he could not just leave the young Pokemon alone.

She had to be returned to Hoenn.

Aerei was no place for a legend. It was dangerous. That was the precise reason the Latias, and her twin as well, had to be returned. He closed his eyes for a second before looking to Yuki. "Perhaps it is time for an adventure..." he added vaguely.

Chiara, curious as to what her trainer was feeling-- an almost unidentifiable emotion as far as she was concerned-- Teleported next to Xaviero before peering at the two that had earned his interest. Red eyes gleamed with excitement as she considered the prospect of an adventure and she smiled to the Eon twins. Don't worry, she told them confidently, an adventure would be fun! Judging by the odd emotion she could feel coming from her Italian, she was certain they would be safe with him.

Latias, meanwhile, squirmed in her sleep, plagued by images of what she had gone through the past twenty-four hours. She shook slightly, raising her and to touch that of her brother's, which was wrapped loosely around her neck. At the touch of her twin, she seemed to calm slightly for a second before she trembled once more, another frightened whine coming from her throat. In her dream, she feared the worst was happening-- her family, her elder brother and sister, were gone forever.

((I feel exhausted. This is going to be a short and lame post. -nods-))

As Xaviero peered into his eyes, Latios made a weary attempt at defiantly meeting his eyes. Although he didn't know what the human was trying to do, the young male Eon Pokemon knew that he didn't like it, whatever "it" was. Still, under those critical eyes that he couldn't see very well due to the glint of the glasses, Latios felt himself fidget slightly.

The child desperately wanted to leave; to just run away with his twin in his arms and return to elder Latias with elder Latios right behind. Only when he was safe in the garden - that currently burnt down garden - did he feel safe. Ever since that discovery of what humans were really like, nothing but trouble plagued him.

Even worse was the fact that his twin was getting involved with the troubles.

When he felt his sister squirm a bit in his arms, Latios bent his head down, now avoiding the Italian's gaze, and kissed his twin on the forehead in hopes that she would be soothed in her sleep. If he could, he would have reverted back to his true form right then if that was what it took to soothe his twin.

But he couldn't, not as long as the two humans were around. It was his duty to protect Latias at all costs, not put her in further danger by revealing that he was the missing twin. It especially frightened him that the Italian was aware that young Eon Pokemon were always accompanied by an elder Latios. In his desperation, the pale boy nearly attempted speech before he paused.

Chiara had, at that moment, chosen to speak to him and his twin. As much as he enjoyed the Ralt's company, he highly doubted that its human would keep his twin safe.

"I was wondering the same thing myself..." Yuki murmured as his attention flickered over to the sleeping Latias. A look of sadness came and went as the boy removed his jacket once again and, despite Latios's protest, placed it on the sleeping Latias. With it now on the female Eon Pokemon, the jacket would react accordingly and adjust its temperature to one more fitting a sleeping body.

With that done and a warning motioned toward Latios not to remove it, Yuki returned his attention to Xaviero as he pointedly ignored the fact that scars of fire on his arm were visible. "An adventure, hm? And where will it take us?" There wasn't a doubt in his mind that he would partake in this adventure; if it involved the pair of legendaries, then it involved him.

The small Eon Pokemon seemed to calm as her brother held her close, and she fell still as soon as Yuki placed the jacket over her body to warm her. She curled up as much as she could, attempting to create as much physical contact with Latios as she could. After a moment or two of fidgeting around, the Psychic Dragon gave a soft sigh, visibly relaxing, even if only slightly.

When Yuki spoke, both Chiara and Xaviero glanced over to him, both wearing nearly identical, small frowns as both trainer and Pokemon lost themselves in their thoughts for a brief second. The Ralts listened intently to the Umbran's musings, nodding slightly in her agreement. They had to see the Eon Pokemon home.

"To Hoenn." The answer came softly, as if the Italian were quieting himself to accommodate for the Latias that seemed to finally be sleeping almost fitfully for the moment. Would her rest be short lived?

Questions of why the Latias was alone, or at least unsupervised, drifted through his mind and his eyes landed temporarily on the young boy he had discovered, who seemed to have such a calming effect on the Eon Pokemon. They were legendary Pokemon, he reminded himself of the Eon species. They were capable of quite a bit, including invisibility and disguising themselves.

To the scientist, it seemed quite likely that if that child wasn't one as well, then they were being watched by one. There was no way that a single Lati could turn up in Aerei, as far as he was concerned.

Before he could think about this too much, however, a menacing growl came from next to him and he turned to see Hanabi, posed to leap, tail lashing behind her and fur on edge. The Dark Pokemon's crimson eyes stared past the humans into the shadows down the mountain a way.

The sound was enough to startle Latias from her slumber and her head shot up, a frightened cry tearing itself from her throat as her body entered fight-or-flight mode, adrenaline pounding through her veins. She immediately shot up into the air, hovering a foot or two above the ground, eyes darting back and forth in fear. ~Brother!~ she cried in her confusion, turning her body to look at her.

Before she could move anymore, however, a net shot out from the shadows, ensnaring the Eon Pokemon in its web and sent her crashing uncerimoniously into the ground with a dull thud. For a moment, the Pokemon sat there, stunned by all of the action and the fall.

Xaviero's attention snapped toward the darkness as Chiara Teleported next to the trapped Pokemon, tugging futilely at the net, a look of desperation on her face as she tried to free the Hoenn legend.

Out of the darkness came two Mightyena, a Crobat, and a Mienshao. The Fighting-type made a bee-line for the net, ready to drag it away while the other three prepared for battle, growling menacingly at the humans as their trainers came up from behind them.

Two large, almost brutish men approached, both wearing all black. The larger of the two sneered down at the Umbrans, completely unaware that these people were part of the same organization as them. "Now be good little boys and leave without a fight; it'll be better for you that way," he growled in a deep voice.

Next to him, a slightly shorter, but muscular man watched his Mienshao darting forward for the net, a smirk on his face. "You wouldn't want to get hurt, would you? We're just going to recollect our Pokemon that fled earlier and be on our merry way."

Xaviero frowned slightly, not even having to say anything to get Hanabi into the action. She lunged at the Mienshao, any regard for the type disadvantage gone as she moved to put herself between the Fighting-type and the Latias and Chiara, who was still desperately tugging at the reinforced fibers of the net.

The Italian quickly reached to his side, pulling a Pokeball from his side and releasing his Archen in a beam of red light. The revived bird shook herself, looking up at Xaviero with wide, blank eyes for a moment as she waited for orders. "Rock Slide, Flamethrower," he called out to his Pokemon, sending them both into action.

The Houndoom braced herself for impact, lowering her head with a savage snarl as she bared her fangs, only to open her maw, sending a concentrated beam of flames spiraling straight for the Mienshao. Sabia, meanwhile, fluttered her wings, gaining a few feet of altitude, only to fall to the ground with a much heavier thud than would have been expected. In doing so, the First Bird Pokemon sent a wall of rocks cascading down the mountain toward where the men and their Mightyenas stood.

Xaviero glanced back to Latias and frowned. "Chiara, Teleport!" The Ralts seemed to know exactly what her trainer was asking, as she focused, a faint blue light emanating around herself and extending over Latias. The air seemed to shimmer for a split second as the two faded from sight, only to reappear behind Xaviero.

Chiara grinned tiredly as she reappeared. That was her first time Teleporting with something else! She looked up to her trainer in glee, only to stop when she realized what he was holding, and that he was approaching the Eon Pokemon. She looked up curiously to her trainer, but showed no signs of alarm. She knew he wouldn't hurt Latias-- but did the boy?

The Italian had a pocketknife in hand, blade extended. He knelt down next to Latias quickly, preparing to cut the fibers of the rope while the Pokemon was still in a sort of dazed state from her fall.

This plan didn't seem to go as planned, however, as just then, the smaller Lati twin blinked, clearing her head. And noticed the weapon in the human's hand. ~Brother! Help!~ she cried, immediately beginning to flail about, not wanting to let the human get any closer as she successfully managed to further tangle herself in the net.

((So you can control all our opponents if you like. -shot- Or, if you want, we can just split them up. xD))

Yuki frowned thoughtfully as he glanced over at Xaviero with studious yellow eyes. Now knowing that their destination was to be Hoenn, the youth couldn't resist looking further into the idea of returning the children Eon Pokemon home. There was, however, just one problem with that, as far as the teen was aware. "Now how will we get there?"

The question made enough sense to the younger Umbran, certainly. Flight was out of the question for, at the time, Yuki had no Pokemon capable of flight, and the last thing he was going to do was lead the Lati twins onto an airplane. Surfing was also a no-go since, once again, Yuki had no capable of Pokemon; the teen was rather wary about having to ride a boat to Hoenn.

As he continued to mull over their options, Chase glanced over to the children Lati twins and quirked a curious brow. Although it was apparent that the Latias was a legendary Pokemon, the little boy apparently being Latios as far as the teen knew, Chase remained unsure as to why it mattered to his trainer. This, of course, called for more sneaking peeks into Yuki's mind later.

At the moment however, there seemed to be a slight disturbance nearby, and the Alakazam's premonition was rewarded with the bitter revealing of his accuracy. The two Mightyena, the Crobat, and the Mienshao finally appeared, and Chase was less than eager to have to deal with these Pokemon. Well, at least two would be easy enough to take down.

Taking a deep, silent breath, Chase began to Calm his Mind in preparation for the battle that was clearly to come.

Meanwhile, Latios was busy tending to his beloved sister. Although he was mistrusting towards Yuki when the human placed that jacket on his twin, the boy soon realized that Latias was perfectly fine under the clothing. When Latias began to shift around, Latios instinctively positioned himself so that he would be able to hold as much of his twin as was possible in that small human disguise of his.

Unfortunately however, he was unable to hold on for long because of the abrupt arrival of aggressive Pokemon's disturbing the moment. When his sister flew up, Latios's grip slipped in surprise and the boy found himself peering up at Latias in puzzlement. He realized seconds too late that something was up, and by then the unthinkable occurred.

His twin sister was trapped with a net!

Latios immediately leapt to his feet and turned toward the enemy Pokemon. No one attacked his twin and got away with it. Even that Hydregion from what felt like days ago didn't get off without a fight. Just when the boy was about to jump into the air and morph into his true self, he felt a human hand take hold of his shoulder and pin him in place.

Eyes wide with shocked fear, Latios peered up to see Yuki standing by his side and holding onto him for what felt like dear life. A painful dear life. Latios, as much as he wanted to, was unable to escape the human's grasp, and so he simply turned his attention to Latias.

~Latias! I'm coming!~ He cried out as he watched helplessly as his twin remained in the net.

While the Eon Pokemon continued with their communications, Yuki focused his attention on the potential battle at hand. "Well take them away," The teen announced as he waved his free hand dismissively toward the Umbran grunts. "Otherwise, your Pokemon are dead." He added as his eyes narrowed as if he was a predator concentrating on prey; Yuki meant every word he spoke.

Both Chase and Latios knew it, and the latter trembled in fear at the words. He would be dead if he remained in the hands of this insane human. While he thought on this, Chase simply nodded in agreement to his trainer's words. Now that sounded like the Yuki he knew of, based on the youth's memories. It was time to emphasis the Umbran's words, and emphasis them he would.

Immediately the Psi Pokemon settled his attention on the Mienshao, setting up a Future Sight for the Martial Art Pokemon to have to deal with later on. Immediately after doing so- he automatically expected the attack to end successfully since the Mienshao was occupied by Hanabi, his attention flickered to the Crobat.

Eyes glowing a psychic blue, he lifted a spoon to point at the Bat Pokemon in hopes of getting hold of it via Psychic. If that was to end successfully, then the Alakazam would use the Crobat to slam into one of the opposing trainers. When Yuki made threats, Chase knew that he wouldn't have to abide to any formal battling rules.

At the same time as this, Latios wrenched himself out of Yuki's grip and cried out in fear for his twin. That man in white was about to attack his Latias! There was no hesitation as the boy took to the air and morphed into his true, small Latios form. This done, the blue Eon Pokemon flew straight and true at Xaviero in hopes of tackling the human.

~Leave Latias alone!~ Latios shouted despite knowing full well that only his twin would hear his words.

((I'm fine taking both if you'd rather not deal with controlling them. xD I'm pretty indifferent~))

As Xaviero frowned, brow furrowing in slight irritation at the fact that he was trying to free the child who flailed about so much, he growled out, "Sit... Still! I will cut the net if you--"

Before he could finish speaking, he found the breath knocked out of him by something ramming into his chest, causing him to stumble back a few steps. The Umbran managed not to fall, but the knife in his hand slipped. As he struggled to maintain his grip on the blade, it left a thin slice in his hand before falling to the ground. He gasped in a futile attempt to catch his breath as he instinctively withdrew his now-bleeding right hand. When he regained his balance and recollected the blade from the ground, he blinked in surprise at the Latios that was staring him down after pushing him away from his twin. The Italian couldn't help but to smirk a little, despite the fact that he was still struggling to breathe and quickly becoming lightheaded due to the lack of oxygen.

He knew that had been the other Eon Pokemon!

This wasn't the time to get distracted with that, however. He forced air into his lungs and looked down to the Latios. "Listen, you can do this my way or your way, and I assure you, mine is much easier," he began almost growling in a hushed tone. "You can calm down Latias so I can remove the net without harming either of you, or I will have to do it forcefully." The Italian took a step closer to the two Eon Pokemon, hand still bleeding. "Perhaps you should consider that we are risking our own Pokemon for your wellbeing. If you want a chance at going home, you will stop her from squirming so much."

He shot Latias a sharp look, which seemed to only frighten the young creature even more, judging by the almost pitiful cries coming from her as she struggled, her entire body knotted within the net. The more the Eon Pokemon struggled, the more stuck she got and the more the fibers of the net dug into her body. Soon, they would begin constricting her circulation, which the scientist knew was no good.

~Latios...~ the red twin whimpered. Her only thoughts were that this man was going to harm her and she had to escape then and there from Aerei. They had to flee. She struggled to fly, only to be struck with the sudden realization that the net was rendering her immobile. Still struggling, arms flailing out and body squirming around in futile attempts to break the net.

Meanwhile, Hanabi's Flamethrower managed to deter the weasel like Pokemon for a moment, earning the brunt of its force when it flew forward, one arm pulled back and glowing green in a Drain Punch. The attack struck square on, pushing the Dark Pokemon back a few steps and sending her stumbling, teeth bared in pain as she shook off the attack. With her trainer busy, she realized that she would have to battle on her own. In retaliation, the Dark/Fire-type growled and lunged forward, teeth coated in flames and bared as she used Fire Fang, singeing the fur along the Mienshao's left arm and inflicting a painful burn.

The Pokemon hissed angrily at the Houndoom and jumped back, only to be replaced by a vicious Mightyena. The Pokemon Growled, intimidating the Houndoom and ran forward in a Take Down, prepared to slam its shoulder into the body of the other canine.

The other Mightyena targeted Chase, charging forward with fangs bared as it lunged to Crunch down on one of the Psi Pokemon's arms. It growled and leapt forward savagely, ready to tear off an arm if it had to to win. Surely, the battle wouldn't end this way, however.

The Crobat, on the other hand, was thrown straight into the Umbrans, striking the shorter one and forcing him to the ground. The taller one glared angrily and shouted at his Pokemon to get up before looking to the teen who threatened the two of them. "Is that so, kid?" he sneered, not taking Yuki's words seriously. "I don't think that will be happening today..." As he spoke, he snapped his fingers and the Mienshao darted toward the Latias in the net, passing by Xaviero, only to be struck by a deadly Future Sight. The energy struck it and knocked it to the ground, where it panted weakly, unable to get up.

When this happened, the man seemed to go pale. "T-that doesn't matter!" he shouted, returning the Mienshao and summoning a Zoroark in its place. With a slightly shaken smirk, he snapped at his Pokemon. "Go! Get that net!"

The Zoroark grinned darkly, fangs bared as its eyes began glowing a faint reddish color. Suddenly, the Pokemon appeared right behind Latias, growling at the legend as it leaned down to pick up the net. Should any Pokemon attack, they would find that the Zoroark was an illusion-- but where was the real one?

Meanwhile, the Crobat was flying once more and the shorter Umbran was on his feet once more. The bat was headed straight for Sabia on the ground, who stared up curiously. Wasn't Xaviero supposed to tell her what to do? She hopped over a little before sending another waves of rock flying toward it in another Rock Throw, although this time, the assault failed.

((Well, just tell me if it gets troublesome, controlling so many Pokemon and such. xD))

The Latios, upon being threatened by Xaviero, visibly hesitated. Perhaps it was the threats or maybe it was the blood on the Italian's hand, but the child was suddenly unsure of why he was fighting the human. It was clear that he was confused, too, because he tilted his head to the side, much like a certain yellow-eyed teen did.

"Thank you, Adrastos," Yuki sighed as he suddenly snatched the blue Eon Pokemon from the air and struggled with it as it attempted to flail out of his grasp. "A little stronger Confusion, if you will." He added as he used his best vice grip on the frightened Latios; it was a good thing that he mastered a tight grip from his days with Kuzumi.

Adrastos, from his position beside Yuki, nodded slightly as his eyes took on a deeper shade of blue. Finally the Latios was so confused that it stopped struggling all together, and Yuki abruptly found that the Pokemon was quite heavier than he originally suspected. "Help Chase. You two are on your own unless in emergency." With that said, the Gallade bowed, and then Teleported to his fellow psychic's side.

And he was just in time, too, for the Mightyena was going in for the Crunch. Adrastos already informed Chase that he was on his way though, so the Alakazam made no movements to challenge the unlucky Dark-type. Instead, he focused his attention on the Crobat for a moment while Adrastos struck towards the canine with a Close Combat attack. Dark Pokemon didn't bother this Gallade, especially when he had Rough Skin thanks to his Carvanha genes.

The reason Chase was so focused on the Crobat was rather simple: He was setting up a Future Sight for the Bat Pokemon to have to handle. Doing so would allow the Psi Pokemon some time to deal with more important concerns, and so the Alakazam soon turned his attention to the Eon twins with his trainer. It was at that moment that he realized neither trainer was prepared to take on the Zorark that appeared right behind to take the captured Latias.

Without hesitation, the Alakazam touched Yuki's mind and flashed the image of what was happening right behind the human, and Yuki tensed.

There was a terrifying moment when Yuki's mind went absolutely blank, and both his psychic Pokemon felt the abrupt shift in his demeanor. His yellow eyes narrowed, his grip tightened so much that Latios gasped in pain, and a fierce scowl touched the Umbran's lips. He was physically ready to kill; his mind was struggling to return.

Thankfully however, he had enough of his mind to do something quite unexpected; with a fluid motion, he thrust the child Latios into Xaviero, and then pulled out two Poke Balls from his PC. In a swift movement, Yuki threw a Poke Ball at both Eon Pokemon at the same time without even looking to see how his aim was. He knew that he hit Latios though, for there was a flash of light as the blue Pokemon disappeared in a squeal of horror.

"Hold it." Yuki hissed at Xaviero, commanding the Italian to hold the Poke Ball so Latios wouldn't escape. Immediately after this, he pivoted on one foot and lunged at the Zorark, not realizing it was an illusion until too late. Thankfully his Alakazam was there to make up for Yuki's mistake, as Chase was prepared to deal with Latias if the Pokemon somehow did end up in the Poke Ball.

While Chase was prepared to snatch the Poke Ball with Psychic, Yuki's fury made itself apparent. "Kill them," He announced in a terrifying indifference. "Kill them all." At the order, Adrastos Teleported, hopefully in time to evade in sort of counterattack from the Mightyena, and reappeared dropping to the ground, one hand aimed at the ground.

As he landed, Chase's eyes glowed a deep blue, Xaviero and Yuki outlined with the attack as well, and used Telekinesis to prevent any of them to be harmed. Adrastos used Earthquake, and the ground trembled with the ferocity of the attack, given how high he had fallen to perform it, and began to crack open.

Within seconds, the quiet, early morning mountainside had erupted into a cacophony of cries, shouts, roars, and attacks. Wild Pokemon nearby scattered in their alarm, adding to the noise as warning calls echoed across the mountain. Bird Pokemon fluttered away above them, escaping into the impending dawn.

Xaviero blinked in surprise as Latios was suddenly snatched up by Yuki, eradicating his previous expression of irritation. Before he could so much as step toward Latias to free her, he found himself having to catch the male Eon Pokemon as he was thrown into the scientist’s arms, quickly followed by a Pokeball. He didn’t have to be told twice; tanned hands immediately wrapped around the smooth, cool surface of the capture device and held it shut, trapping the Latios inside. The Italian hadn’t questioned the motives of the usually apathetic teen as he saw the intent to kill practically emanating from Yuki. Questions could wait til later.

Meanwhile, the Pokeball thrown in the direction of Latias phased right through her, much to the surprise of Xaviero, but the amusement of the Umbrans trying to capture the Pokemon. The Italian’s eyes darted across the battlefield, searching for any sign of the Zoroark that had to be responsible for the distortion of reality. Immediately, his eyes fell on the Pokemon, who up until now had been invisible.

The Pokemon was attempting to sneak away, a malevolent smirk crossing its features as it held Latias thrown over its shoulder, appearing not unlike a stereotypical image of a burglar trying to sneak away with the loot in the confusion. Unfortunately for the Zoroark, however, all eyes landed on it and it quickly became the victim of all sorts of assaults.

A shrill whistle from Xaviero snapped Hanabi’s attention from the Mightyena, which she was about to snap her jaws around. The Houndoom settled for a Flamethrower aimed expertly at the Dark-type, inflicting a painful burn before she bounded after the Zoroark. Within seconds, she was on its heels, before a swift leap caused the Illusion Fox to stumble and fall to the ground. Instantly, fangs laced with electricity sank into the Zoroark’s shoulder, earning a pained roar from the Pokemon. Hanabi growled as she pushed off of the Dark-type’s back, leaping off and turning to Latias.

She approached the Psychic Dragon quickly, prepared to tear the net and allow her to escape, but the close proximity of the Houndoom seemed to panic the Eon Pokemon. Latias shuddered a frightened squeak tore itself from her throat as she closed her eyes, unable to move her tiny arms up to protect her face, and she prepared for what she was certain was the end of her short life.

A second later, she went completely limp and waited, not wanting to struggle anymore. A tiny sigh escaped her lips and she thought of her family for a moment longer, and how she had failed them. They had quite possibly given their lives to protect her and Latios, but she had failed. …
Latios.

She couldn’t leave behind her twin, after he had risked so much for her. She had to… fight? But why wasn’t there pain yet? Tentatively, the Pokemon cracked open one eye, peering up in time to see Hanabi facing away from her, fangs bared at a Mightyena who was trying to get the Eon Pokemon.

The Houndoom was snarling at the other canine, fangs glowing with fire as she snapped violently at the Mightyena, daring the Dark-type to take another step at its own risk. When the Mightyena moved, she leapt forward, slamming her shoulder into its chest and latching down with a Fire Fang.

The Crobat, meanwhile, was busy chasing down Sabia, who was still somewhat unsure about what was happening. The ancient Pokemon tilted her head, watching the Crobat fly in admiration. She wished she could do that, too—Until she realized that the Crobat was preparing to use Air Cutter on her, that was. At that moment, she hissed angrily and flapped her wings in indignation, earning a few feet of air in order to crash down to earth, sending some rocks flying toward the bat. This time, the Rock Throw struck dead on, although the fairly untrained Archen did less damage than was desirable.

Even after the attack, the Crobat was still flying toward Sabia, eyes glinting in excitement as it prepared to attack. Sabia seemed to get lucky, however, as suddenly, the Crobat stopped, a pained expression on its face as it was struck down to the ground by an extremely powerful and super effective Future Sight. The one attack was enough to keep the Crobat down for the rest of the battle, and the Pokemon was hastily returned by its trainer.

The Mightyena that had launched itself toward Chase, meanwhile, was also unlucky in its attack, being struck aside by a super effective Close Combat powerful enough to crumple the canine, a high pitched whine escaping from it as it fell to the ground. The Pokemon’s face was contorted in pain as it tried to stumble back to its feet, unable to continue.

By this point, the Umbrans attempting to capture the Legendaries seemed to be getting quite anxious They glanced to each other, seemingly debating fleeing, until one harsh phrase caused them both to visibly flinch.
Yuki had voiced his intent to kill the Umbrans.

The taller man shook his head, an almost apologetic, nervous smile on his face as he began to speak rapidly. “N-No, man, you don’t need to—” before he could continue, Adastros began his attack, Teleporting into the sky and preparing to let all hell break loose.

Xaviero’s eyes flashed over toward Yuki, a hint of alarm visible for a split second before he glanced to his Pokemon on the ground. Latias was still there, along with Hanabi, Sabia, and Chiara. That could be potentially dangerous, especially if the Earthquake was powerful enough to cause any fissures into the underground cave system that snaked through Mt. Stella.

His Pokemon, however, seemed to think quickly enough at the first signs of an attack. Chiara immediately Teleported to Latias before vanishing again to land on Xaviero’s shoulder, dropping Latias into his arms with an indignant squeak from the small Eon Pokemon. Sabia, meanwhile, seemed to enjoy the rocking earth, leaping with the seismic activity in order to ‘fly’ on the waves, landing on the ground and leaping again, not effected at all by the move. Hanabi, however, seemed uncomfortable by the attack, but quick enough to try and run away from the Umbrans, where the largest fissure seemed to be forming.

Underneath the Umbrans, the ground gave way, forming a gaping hole into the mountainside. The two were sent falling amidst the debris and their Pokemon, screaming in horror along the way, although the noise was lost through the rumbling of the earth and the sound of the rocks falling. Within seconds, loud splashes were heard beneath the ground, and one could assume that the Umbrans had plummeted into some sort of underground lake.

After all the excitement ended with the opposing Umbrans and their Pokemon disappearing down a fissure into an underground lake, Yuki's narrowed yellow eyes closed for a moment and the youth took this chance to calm himself. It was pure madness to let his intent to kill get the better of him, and it was the third time since arriving to Aerei that this happened.

Perhaps he needed a vacation from a vacation.

Still, his usually slow-beating heart was pounding against his chest with desire. He was aware, both physically and mentally, that his prey was not dead, and although his mind knew that the kills weren't necessary, his body craved the death. The Umbran knew this craving, though he didn't realize just how strong of a craving it would be.

A couple years of containing his wrath deep within him, and now his body was trembling uncontrollably as a result of it. As his body shook with the primeval desire, both Chase and Adrastos appeared on other side of him. Both Pokemon were using Psychic on their trainer, knowing full well that Yuki shouldn't be allowed to even take a step.

"Judgement," Yuki managed to murmur through his gritted teeth, "has been made." Suddenly the youth's shaking ended, his futile attempts to resist the Psychics' hold stopped, and the Umbran opened his eyes. The look in his eyes, however, were unseeing, and his gaze passed over everyone around him until he paused on Adrastos. "Kill them; them, and their Pokemon."

At first the Gallade was frozen, unsure whether or not to follow orders, but his trainer's eyes were oppressing- so powerful, so oppressing, and Adrastos found that he had no choice but to do as commanded. With a hesitant bow, he accepted the task, though not before glancing over to Chase to share a quick word. The Alakazam was not to release Yuki, even if their trainer demanded it.

Once it was firmly agreed, the Pokemon Teleported down to the underground lake, using Psychic to stand upon the water. He would take care of the fools quickly, and he would have a Double Team active to make sure he isn't harmed in the process. Hopefully Yuki wouldn't try anything while he was gone.

"Release me, Chase," The younger Umbran hissed as his unseeing eyes turned to rest on the Alakazam. Not at all to the youth's surprise, however, the Psi Pokemon refused and actually crossed its arms in defiance. Normally this wouldn't be tolerated, but then normally this wouldn't happen in the first place.

The boy knew, he was 100% aware that his actions were over-the-top, but he couldn't help it. He didn't want those fools to return and make a mess of anything else. That was his excuse, though that wasn't what the "judgement" was based on, and that was what he was going to stick to. Probably.

Deciding to ignore the fact that he was still contained, the youth then turned his attention to Xaviero and the Latias. "Three guesses who those two worked for," He announced in a rather cold tone of voice, "And the first two don't count." At that moment, Adrastos returned in a kneeling position, as if he were bowing to Yuki.

When the Gallade was instructed to rise, the Pokemon presented a bloodstained piece of cloth. To the teen's satisfaction, the insignia of Umbra was branded on the torn cloth, and Yuki nodded in acknowledgement for the Pokemon's efforts. "Thank you, Adrastos; I am fine." His words seemed to be true, for suddenly there was a bit of light in his yellow eyes once more.

Adrastos, however, paused to check the emotional state of his trainer before nodding to Chase to release the Umbran. Finally Yuki was free to move around again, and the boy immediately chose to stretch, as if he just woke up from a pleasant slumber. Still, neither of his Pokemon were prepared to take a risk with the youth, and both remained prepared to act once again.

"Going to be a long day."

Xaviero chose to block out Yuki's choice in actions, allowing the teen to do what he wanted. Regardless of whether or not he would admit it, a shiver of fear ran down the Italian's spine for a moment before it was suppressed. The scientist proceeded to focus down on the Latias, who had fallen silent and still when she heard Yuki decide to kill the bad guys.

Perhaps, the Eon Pokemon thought, this human wasn't a human at all! After all, humans didn't kill other humans, did they? As far as Latias knew, they only caused harm to Pokemon. She twisted her head around as best she could in order to see the teen, and to look around for Latios. A tentative, ~Latios...?~ she called out timidly, her eyes falling shut and her mind reaching out for him.

...

But she couldn't find him. A moment later, still nothing; no response from her twin. She admittedly began to panic a little, eyes looking up as she realized that she was stuck in the Italian's grip as long as he wanted her to be. Shuddering slightly, she wondered what the human would do to her.

To her surprise, he looked down at her, focusing intently on something. A moment later, he readjusted the Pokemon into one arm before reaching into his pocket. "Sit still and I won't hurt you. Understand?" he said quietly. Into his pocket, he dropped the Pokeball that currently held Latios stuck and swapped it out for the small pocketknife he had had in his hand earlier. Leaving the knife and his hand in his pocket, he watched Latias a moment longer, waiting to get the shaky legendary's agreement.

Latias hesitated a moment, her breath catching in her chest as Xaviero spoke. Sit still? What did he want to do? Panic struck for a moment, but quickly faded away. What could he do, really? Everything she knew and loved had already been stripped away, planting a sort of despair into her chest. After a few seconds of golden eyes meeting nearly black ones, the Eon Pokemon nodded her head once.

Xaviero actually managed a tiny bit of a smile at that, lifting his hand up and extending the blade. "I need to cut the net-- but you have to remain as still as possible so I don't get you instead," he explained, treating the young Pokemon as he would a child that he was trying to explain something to. "You've gotten yourself quite tangled up in that net, haven't you?" he added, speaking softly and calmly.

With swift movements, he managed to cut through various fibers around the now still Pokemon's neck and cut down, following the line of her spine. Within moments, the net had loosened, and the Italian dropped the knife to the ground, although Chiara didn't let it actually fall all the way. "We're almost done now," he added as he adjusted the Pokemon in his arms before tugging at the net around her head, freeing it. With Latias' head free, the rest of her came following after and the net tumbled to the ground.

The first on Xaviero's side to react to the sudden change in Yuki was Chiara; the Ralts flinched and hid behind the Italian's head. She was still perched atop Xaviero's shoulder and could feel the murderous intent emanating off of the teen. To be frank, it scared her beyond belief and her eyes squeezed shut as she tried to will her ability to tune into human emotions to stop. How could that Gallade stand it? She shook in her fear and had to keep herself from Teleporting far, far away as her trainer proceeded to free Latias from the net.

Xaviero, feeling the fear seem to leak into his own mind, frowned, already perturbed at the decision the teen had come up, his own sense of morals almost forcing him to speak up. After all, they were Umbrans as well, likely acting on orders from higher ups. The net had just fallen to the ground, and he loosened his grip on Latias, allowing the Pokemon to levitate her way out of his arms and remain quietly nearby, eyes locked on Yuki. The Italian raised one hand up to Chiara, placing it on her shoulder before plucking the tiny Psychic-type up and holding her in his arms, almost seeming to cradle the Pokemon as one would to calm a baby. Closing his eyes, he shook his head slightly with a sigh. Why was this causing him a sort of cognitive dissonance when being an accomplice to the murder of Xalander and the theft of his Pokemon was shrugged off like it were nothing.

By this time, Adastros had left and Chiara's shuddering had calmed a bit. Hanabi had made her way next to her trainer and was watching Yuki warily, prepared to intervene if the teen's actions posed any threats to Xaviero or his Pokemon. The Houndoom's tail swished behind her as crimson eyes remained planted firmly on the young professor.

Xaviero, pulled from his reverie by Adastros vanishing, opened his mouth to speak, only to close it again as the teen ordered Chase to free him. That didn't seem like the smartest idea. Something was obviously going on with the teen, and that seemed like a bit of a dilemma as far as this scientist was concerned. He remained silent when Yuki addressed him, feeling Chiara flinch away in discomfort from the icy tone coming from the teen.

Only moments later, Adastros returned, bringing the bloodstained remains of an Umbran outfit. The Italian forced himself to ignore it and looked down tot he timid Ralts in his arms. "Long day indeed..." he murmured in agreement with a sigh before looking up. Sabia was still attempting to fly, although she wasn't making near as much progress as she had been during the earthquake. The Italian pulled out the Pokeball with the odd insignia of a crown and thorns and returned the ancient Pokemon.

"Have you got any ideas on how to get to Hoenn?" the Umbran finally said after a moment of silence. "Surely... Umbra would have some sort of boat or plane we could use." he added before blinking and reaching into his pocket. No wonder things seemed a lot more still. There wasn't a brave little Latios running around and getting in the way. His hand slipped back to the pocket where he had left the Pokeball and he tossed it toward Yuki. He could decide what to do with it.

Now that he had the stained cloth, it really clicked in his mind that he ordered his Pokemon to kill a couple humans as well as the humans' entire teams. Still, there wasn't a trace of regret in his conscious, as if it really didn't disturb him that his Gallade was now burdened by the heavy burden of several deaths. After spending so much time with the two Psychic-types, the fact that either Pokemon chose to stick around this long actually surprised the youth.

It was probably the fact that they could just look at him and he wouldn't be able to move that kept the two Pokemon at either of his sides. For humanity, Adrastos and Chase were burdened with the task to keep him, Yuki, under control. However, it was troublesome at the barest minimum to have both psychics out, and so Yuki took this moment to turn on the Blade Pokemon.

"You must have a migraine from my emotions," The Umbran commented slowly, his mind carefully blank to keep his Pokemon from immediately guessing what it was that he planned to do. When both Psychic-types turned their heads, eyes narrowed in suspicion, to regard the youth warily, Yuki tilted his head ever so slightly. "Get some rest."

And just like that, Adrastos threw up an arm as if to protect himself, though it did no good. Suddenly the Gallade was gone, returned to its Poke Ball, and the ball was swiftly returned to Yuki's PC. Now only Chase remained, and the Psi Pokemon was keenly aware of this fact. For a pair of intelligent and sly Pokemon, it was shocking to have been bested by a human.

Yuki, guessing at this thought, allowed for an ironic smile to grace his lips. "Scary, isn't it?" Once again the Alakazam found that there wasn't anything to read in the trainer's mind, and the Pokemon stepped back a bit so that he was standing beside Xaviero. It was clear that the bipedal fox was uncertain about this change in the young Umbran. "Experience gives me the advantage."

At that moment, the Poke Ball holding Latios was thrown towards Yuki and the youth, as if reacting on an instinctual level, snatched at it with a ferocity that was unlike his usually apathetic self. Yellow eyes glanced over to peer down at the Italian and Latias before Yuki breathed out a sigh in attempt to calm himself.

"All right, maybe I'm not as 'fine' as I claimed to be." He admitted and shrugged, both hands relaxed so that the ball in his right hand slid off the palm of his hand. In a flash, Latios appeared, quite startled, and literally flopped onto the ground in his confusion. "Umbra would be suspicious as to why we want to go to Hoenn." The youth announced as he took hold of the now empty ball and placed it on his belt.

While Latios looked around in a bit of a daze, the Umbran continued to ponder on a way to get to the desired region. Umbra... Legendaries... Perhaps there was, in fact, a way to use Umbra; the very idea of manipulating the local organization made Yuki smirk.

"Well I'll have to report the death of two grunts anyway." The scientist announced slowly, apparently in the process of trying to bring to words his thoughts. "Died trying to capture young legendaries, failed, and now we have wild legendaries running about on the island." Here, he paused and placed a hand to his mouth, tapping two fingers against his lips. This was, the boy believed, to be the interesting part of the whole dilemma.

"That is, if they're still on the island."

While Yuki continued to think things through out loud, Latios realized that he was free again, though he didn't understand where he just was. It didn't matter, however, because Latias was now freed from the net and, more importantly, Xaviero's grasp. ~Latias! Are you all right!?~ He cried out as he struggled to lift himself off the ground, though he only managed to summon a dizzy spell.

~Che, what happened?~ Latios grumbled as he lowered his head and closed his eyes, as if that would dispel his dizziness. Luckily the world stopped spinning now that he was lying on the ground again, and the Pokemon dared to peek out with one red eye once more. ~So tired.~

Suddenly he felt the exhaustion crash down upon him, and the young male Eon Pokemon felt right about to pass out then and there. It was shocking that he managed to last this long, but it was his bet that it was his willpower as a Latios that allowed him to keep going. Even now, he refused to succumb to the pleasures of rest, for there were still humans about, even if one human was still an undetermined.

If either of the human-shaped creatures chose to move, then Latios would force himself to get up and protect his twin.

Latias was quite relieved when Latios was once again in front of her. In fact, she flew forward as fast as she could to hug him, and if he did not move, she would end up slamming into his side as she embraced him. ~Brother!~ she cried, a smile on her face as she moved toward him. Before she could say anything else to him, she quickly grew concerned with the Eon Pokemon's movements. He seemed really dizzy and off balance. The smaller twin dipped her head a bit and moved to her brother's side, trying to support the slightly larger dragon, should he need it. She nuzzled her head against his neck and closed her eyes, just as he mentioned how tired he was. At that moment, she realized that he had quite possibly slept less than she had, and she was absolutely exhausted!

She peered around, looking for something that could possibly help him, eyes landing on a bush that sat a few yards away. She slowly separated herself from her brother and flew to it, plucking two handfuls of Sitrus berries from its leaves before returning with them. ~Here!~ she announced cheerfully. For whatever reason, she was growing a bit more comfortable with the presence of the humans near her. After all, they had had the opportunity to kill them already; if they were going to harm the legendaries, they would not have freed either of them. But she figured her brother would not understand her logic, or her instinct that the two humans may actually want to help. But then again, she didn't witness what he had.

Latias peered up at her brother, almost happily, and placed the berries on the ground, plucking one up and holding it up to Latios' mouth to help him. These berries grew at home, and she knew they were good for regaining energy. Smiling at her brother, she settled next to him and moved to lean against him, wanting the familiar comfort of home. If he would move for another berry, the smaller twin would quickly pluck it up and offer it to him. ~You vanished! I couldn't find you anywhere!~ she announced in response to his question. ~It was... As if we had been separated again...~ she trailed off, tears forming in her eyes as she turned her head away.

A moment later, she had regained her cheerful composure. ~But it's ok! Because we're together again, right?~ she added, nuzzling her brother affectionately. They were relatively safe, she believed, and more importantly, together. At least they still had that.

Meanwhile, Chiara had been watching the actions curiously from Xaviero's arms, as her trainer did as well. The Ralts was quite curious about what was happening. After all, that Latias seemed to be letting down her guard! How odd was that? She seemed to be recovering from her fright from Yuki's emotions, busying herself with enjoying the contentment of the Latias.

Xaviero glanced up from where the Lati twins were to Yuki when he mentioned the Pokemon remaining on the island. "We must pursue these legendary Pokemon, who have fled back to Hoenn," he added calmly, having ignored the short chat with his Pokemon. The Italian, despite not showing it, was rather curious about the young professor. Perhaps that was why he liked the adolescent in the first place. He always kept the scientist on his toes and guessing.

The Italian peered back down to the Eon twins, brow furrowed for a moment. Sure, they could ride a boat back to Hoenn, but how would they hide the twins from Umbra in the mean time? Even if they did manage to get Umbra to endorse their trip to the nearby region, they would have a hard time explaining why they needed to bring along two children, should the Eon twins disguise themselves as such. And it was highly unlikely that Latias would agree to being placed in a Pokeball. Latios, however, technically now belonged to Yuki and could easily be placed inside the Pokeball again.

As his mind mulled over these problems, he decided that those could be addressed later. For now, they had to retrieve a boat from Umbra. ... And that's when Xaviero realized how little he truly knew about the organization he worked for. Where would they get the boat from? "Where would be the best place to get it?" The Italian had no doubts in his mind that they would actually get the boat, if legendary Pokemon were involved. On top of that, Yuki seemed to be pretty high up in the hierarchy of the organization.

((Fail post is... Fail. >>; I kinda had to cut it short since I still have to write a 4 page paper tonight and I haven't started yet. xD And I'm sorta out of practice. <<; I'll try to post more regularly for this though. Sorry it's taking so long!))

((This is going to be short as well, for I should be working on a couple Econ projects, not posting. =D))

"Naturally," Yuki replied as his Italian companion mentioned the pursuit of a couple wild Legendaries. This was going to be interesting, perhaps even fun, if he and Xaviero managed to get away with their little exertion. Of course, there would be dire consequences when they "fail" to return with the Legendaries, and it was this thought that brought a thoughtful frown to Yuki's face.

"We're doomed to fail from the start; the consequences will be severe." The younger Umbran sighed as he shook his head, mockingly dramatic about the situation. "If I request it, they will provide it; and we will have it at the docks near Parum Town, the ruins." At that, the boy tilted his head slightly so that he was peering up into the brightening sky, one eye automatically closing.

"Less people to contend to there, both civilians and Umbrans alike." With that stated, the boy nodded his head once, almost as if he was verifying his agreement to a decision made by another. This done, Yuki then glanced over to his Alakazam that was still standing warily beside Xaviero. "You'll have to Teleport us a few times, since you're adamant about sticking around."

Not at all to the youth's surprise did the Psi Pokemon nod in immediate acceptance to the arrangement. Yuki was the trainer, after all, and his mind also seemed to be more stable now that the boy was thinking on how to go about on this mission. All that was left was everyone playing his and her part in this little episode.

While the Pokemon and his trainer waited to see what input Xaviero would have, Latios felt a familiar embrace and nearly sank into complete bliss in his twin's arms. He would have done so, too, if Latias just didn't remove herself nearly as sudden as she hugged him. A wave of suspicion momentarily overwhelmed the young male Eon Pokemon before he dismissed the absurd thoughts.

His sister wasn't abandoning him; she would never abandon him. As if in an effort to prove this, his beloved twin stopped at a nearby bush, picked somethings from it, and then eagerly returned to his side. Relief at the sight of the berries spread through his body and warmed his heart as he peered into his sister's eyes in absolute gratitude. ~Thank you, Sis.~

And with that, the Latios accepted the Sitrus Berry.

The effect was immediate, and suddenly Latios felt like he could tackle the cruel humans that remained so close. Of course, tackling wasn't as reassuring as defeating, and so the Pokemon decided he would need another berry to recover more of his strength. As he continued to eat, he listened to what his twin had to say, for it was important to him to always be attentive.

~I just... disappeared?~ He repeated, appearing quite devastated about the fact. It almost felt to him that he let his sister down by vanishing in thin air right before the Latias' eyes. What would elder Latios say if he knew about that? ~I won't ever disappear again!~ Latios replied firmly as he nuzzled his twin affectionately. ~Together now and forever.~

Now he just needed to figure out what to do about those humans. It didn't escape him that his twin was acting as if her guard was down, though it did confuse him. His immediate decision as to why was that they were going to trick the humans. If the Pokemon let their guard down, then the humans will too, right? Sounded reasonable to Latios, and he hoped that the humans would get comfortable soon.

As soon as the idiots did, he and his sister would fly away and save their elder.

~Yeah! You were just gone all of a sudden...~ Latias' face fell a bit as she absentmindedly snacked on one of the small berries she had picked. But, when Latios assured her he would never leave again, her face brightened up again and she smiled up at her twin. ~I know you won't!~ She snuggled against him, for the first time in a while actually relaxing.

The Eon Pokemon's eyes drifted toward the humans curiously for a moment. They seemed to be discussing something important; something about boats and dire consequences. She frowned slightly and then looked back to her brother. ~Latios...?~ she began, looking down at the ground. ~Think we'll ever make it home...?~ When she looked up at her brother, her eyes were wide with fear and sorrow. Even though she'd be hard pressed to admit it, Latias worried about returning home, and seeing their elder brother and sister again. She wasn't sure she was ready to accept a life without them...

But what about the humans? They seemed to prove they wouldn't actually hurt the Eon twins, but what did they want with them? Would they enslave the twins? They had other Pokemon working for them... But those other Pokemon seemed pretty happy, now that Latias thought about it. She shook her head to clear the thought from her mind. She wouldn't be happy trapped with a human. Besides, it was her destiny to help teach the next generation of Eon Pokemon. She was a roaming Pokemon by nature, and that was what she wanted to remain.

The thoughts of capture made the small Latias shudder and press herself closer to her brother, as if he could chase away her doubts and fears. At least she still had him with her... If she were alone, she couldn't imagine what she would do. She would be helpless...

Xaviero, meanwhile, listened to Yuki speak while remaining silent, his mind working to formulate a plan. He didn't particularly care about being punished for 'failing' a mission he had no intention to finish. "So Parum Town it is, then..." His eyes glanced to Latios and Latias and he frowned slightly. The next trick would be figuring out how to sneak them along.

They did have two Pokemon who could Teleport with them. Given that the Eon twins would stay put long enough, it was very possible that Chase or Chiara would be able to Teleport the twins onto the boat after it set sail. That would, however, require the Eon twins' complete and total cooperation; something the Italian wasn't sure they could be guaranteed.

The two were only children... He couldn't expect them to actually understand that they were willing to help. After all, the twins were probably chased their entire lives by humans trying to catch them. They were probably taught to avoid humans like the plague. This thought actually brought a shadow of a smile to the scientist's lips and he glanced to Chase.

"I take it Chase is quite... Adept at keeping things still, no?" The Alakazam had managed to render Yuki immobile, after all. If he could manage the same over the Eon twins if necessary, then this Teleportation idea might actually work out.

((So we need to speed this up somehow. Perhaps I can send Latios into his Poke Ball and take him to a PC to heal? xD Or maybe he can be healed in the lab; insert healing machine there. -shot-))

In all honesty, Latios wasn't confident that they would ever make it home, but he knew that he couldn't say such a thing. After everything the two went through to survive this long on this dreadful island, he felt like he changed somehow. It was almost as if he was reliving all of this, except this time he wasn't going to fail.

Not that he failed yet.

~Of course we will,~ Latios replied in what he hoped sounded confident. After a pause to think something through though, the male Eon Pokemon added, ~And we'll take elder Latios back with us, too.~ At that, he pictured flying home with siblings on either side of him, returning to a welcoming elder Latias with the garden perfectly fine. Surprisingly enough, he sounded more confident about what he said than he actually felt.

Still, it would be difficult to find elder Latios now that he was, most likely, captured by humans already. After all, those missing humans seemed to have known about him and his twin, so wasn't that hint enough of the elder's fall? Speaking of which, where did those two humans go, and why didn't these humans go with them?

A puzzled expression made its way onto the young male's features as he peered over his shoulder to watch the two humans. For some reason he physically flinched when he realized that the creature with yellow eyes was closely watching him. When their eyes met, Latios felt as if he couldn't look away and actually growled a little in his fright.

"He is," Yuki replied slowly as he continued to stare at the young Latios. "The problem is HQ." The younger Umbran could have elaborated more on that idea, but he was sure that there was no need to. After all, both were confident that Chase would force the two legendaries onto the boat without a problem. With that out of the way, only one meaning could be discerned from his rather open statement.

How would they keep an eye on the twins while fetching the boat?

The boy sighed, shaking his head as he thought about this. So many flaws in this plan, to many variables to account for. At this rate, the boy was tempted to throw his hands into the air and propose a quote, though he didn't realize he spoke the words out loud until it was too late. "Luck be in our favor and the odds forever against us."

It was a phrase he often heard CJ announce whenever the man was about to jump headfirst into a dangerous mission that Yuki assigned him, and then the boy frowned at the thought. A long time passed since he last spoke with the older male, and a part of him wondered how the Organization was running. About this time however, he realized that he spoke earlier based on the look that Latios gave him.

Glancing over to see if Xaviero noticed, the boy shrugged his shoulders indifferently. It wasn't until Chase returned to his side and peered up with questioning eyes that Yuki sighed. "The words of an old co-worker of mine." He announced dismissively as he waved the matter off, though in a wistful tone, added, "What an irritating toy he was; worse than Kuzumi is."

As the scientist shook his head to dispel the thoughts, Latios glanced over to his twin. ~What are they talking about? I think we're in danger again.~ The Pokemon informed Latias wearily; although the berries did help a lot, it didn't dismiss his fatigue that was inspired by lack of sleep. ~I may not be able to protect you if they try anything, so I want you to escape if anything happens.~

The adrenaline rush of those berries was over, now he desperately needed to sleep.

((Speed it up any way you'd like to;; I'd like to end this thread as soon as possible just because it's been going on so long. xD We could discover elder Latios in the lab where we're getting the boat, and escort all to Aerei. Perhaps Yuki captures the Latios as well, and releases it in Hoenn? Once there, the Eon Pokemon might decide to trust Xavi and Yuyu after they helped them escape this far, and they ask for help finding Latias? I dunno if that would work or not though. >>; ))

Latias looked up at her brother with wide eyes, looking for any hint of an expression that would betray him. Unable to find one, she smiled softly before a yawn escaped her. ~I trust you, Brother...~ she managed to tell him, her golden eyes half closed sleepily.

It took her brother suddenly speaking about the humans to snap her from her sleepy state and she tilted her head curiously before reluctantly directing her attention to the humans. What were they talking about, anyway...? Was it even important? Did it involve them? Latias would have preferred nothing more than to take a quick nap before having to study the humans some more, but if her brother wanted her to focus on them, then she would. Were they really in danger? A thousand questions filled the curious Eon twin's mind and she shook her head a little bit to clear away her grogginess before focusing.

When Yuki mentioned HQ as the problem, Xaviero nodded thoughtfully, hands in his pockets. He fiddled with the old Pokeballs he always carried along with him, running a finger over the dented, scraped surfaces. There had to be a way to get them through HQ without being detected. Perhaps Chase could babysit for a brief period of time before Teleporting with the twins onto their boat they would obtain? The Alakazam could keep them still outside of HQ, guarding them and assuring they were not spotted.

The Italian opened his mouth to speak, only to stop as Yuki said something before explaining about a toy. "Another toy?" he added with a half smirk. "I thought I was the only one..." Xaviero gave a dramatic sigh before looking up to Yuki. "I hope I am at least the favorite?" Chuckling to himself, he glanced over to the Eon Pokemon, noticing them both staring intently at the humans. This caught him off guard and his amused half smirk faded away.

"Chase could... Babysit the twins, assure that they do not escape while we acquire the boat," he then suggested, trying to regain some sense of seriousness. After all, there were two frightened children that needed to be returned home as soon as possible. Straightening up, he lifted a hand to adjust his glasses before studying the Eon Pokemon. The two of them seemed exhausted; it wouldn't be too hard for an Alakazam to control them, he thought. After all, Chase was powerful enough to hold Yuki still. Two sleepy baby Pokemon should be a piece of cake.

Latias blinked in surprise at the word 'babysit.' What? Why were they trying to trap them? What did they want? When Latios spoke again about her fleeing, she turned to look at him incredulously, mouth slightly agape and golden eyes wide. ~Brother...! I can't leave you alone...~ Tears filled her eyes and she shook her head stubbornly. ~What about you?~ She was willing to fight tooth and claw to protect her brother, despite knowing that even her best efforts would likely not be enough to stop some of the Pokemon she had seen in the humans' possession.

The smaller twin scooted closer to her brother, pressing up as closely as she could and closed her eyes. ~I don't want to be alone again... Please don't make me leave...~ she pleaded pitifully.
