Find help, she told him as she gently awakened their charges. He had watched as his twin whispered to their younger selves that they needed to get ready for an adventure to be remembered. As the blue and red Dragons groggily responded with curious chirps, he brushed against his twin with worried affection. His twin placed her head against his and shut her eyes as he did. Protect the children.

The elder Latios glanced behind him at the eagerly following pair of Eon Pokemon. They vaguely remembered their elder Latias promising an adventure if they followed him and so they did, accepting the indirect order easily in their half asleep states. Danger will come then go, and when that happens, they can return.

Please be safe.

It was then that an inquiring chirp decided to break his train of thoughts and catch his attention. Why had they left elder Latias behind? It was simple, really. It was the Latios’ duty to teach the young more about the lives they must live and the responsibilities that come with their being what they are. While the Latios did so, it was Latias’ duty to watch over the home and protect it from intruders. Both responsibilities, as dull as they may sound, are dangerous.

But why, the younger Latios pressed, was the adventure outside of Hoenn? The answer to that was simple as well. This adventure was different from the adventures other twins would have- this adventure was special. A special adventure for a special pair of twins, right? Much to the elder Latios’ relief, that seemed to satisfy his younger counterpart.

The elder watched, the look of wariness in his eyes softening as worry receded to the edges of his mind. Find help. She had told him. Protect the children. She had insisted...

It felt right to the younger Latios to be told that he and his twin were special. And he would have bought the reason if hadn’t known the truth of the matter. Was it really so serious that his elder had come up with such a smooth lie? Would he learn to lie as easily in case of a similar situation?

He had kept his discovery to himself, for some reason not even daring to tell his twin of it, though he was certain that she was aware of the air of reluctance about him. Perhaps this was the first step to mastering lies. And so the younger male Eon Pokemon dutifully followed his elder, poking fun at his twin all the while, as they continued to race after their leader.

His mind continued to return to the truth all the while.

It was late that night, before they had been seen off for their adventure, that the problems arose. The younger Latios had been sleeping soundly beside his twin, exhausted by the nonstop play during the day, when a disturbance brought him to waking. With a quiet yawn, he lifted his head to peer into the darkness of the night, it being cold and cloudy with threats of rain, and he wondered why he had woken up.

Just when he thought it was nothing, he heard it- it was a familiar battle cry only low and muffled. His elder counterpart was in a battle somewhere in the distance and seemed to be trying to avoid waking him and his twin up. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he concentrated on his curiosity to speed up the waking process before carefully untangling himself from his sister. Once done, he attempted manipulating what little light he could, eventually deciding he would instead toy with the darkness, and disappeared into the night.

What he saw confused him.

His elders were both locked in battle against this group of trainers- wasn’t it their duty to protect the humans of Hoenn?- with each human using two Pokemon. It was obvious that the elder twins were outnumbered, though neither showed any signs of weakening, and it appeared that this held no important matter.

Eventually the shadows of passing clouds enveloped the battle scene causing the combatants to pause as they waited to be able to see again. What happened next made the humans speak words he had never heard before and didn’t understand. He did, however, understand what had just happened.

The elder Lati twins had melted into the shadows of the night and left the battle more than likely to reach him and his sister. He hesitated returning, however, and instead warily circled the four humans. They were talking about capturing the Latios and Latias that had just escaped, but why would humans try to catch legendaries?

As the people talked, he learned more and more of the darkness in people’s hearts and his blissful ignorance slowly evaporated. Humans weren’t meant to be protected, though it would someday be his duty to go to the general population’s aid when the need arises, and they weren’t creatures to trust. No, far from it.

And so he turned away to return to Latias’ side, eyes as dark as his realizations, without sparing a glance to those that wished him harm. Arriving at his twin’s side, seeing how neither of their caretakers had appeared yet, he settled back down and shut his eyes without much hope of sleep. It would only be a few hours later, just as he was finally falling asleep, that elder Latias would coax them to wake up.

It would only be a few hours later that he and his sister would flee from home in hopes of finding somewhere safer to hide. And, little did any of the three know, it was during those few hours of escaping the Hoenn region that elder Latias would be captured to keep the hunters busy.

This was ridiculous, and Surya seemed to realize it as well. Without a word, Pokemon and trainer seemed to come to an agreement as Yuki plucked a Poke Ball from his PC. Surya, seeing as how he had most of the attention, nimbly danced before the truck, fire licking between his lips, before he unleashed a vortex of fire. However, instead of moving to surround the startled swarm, moved back to envelope the truck and everyone around it.

It was his Protect attack, with the flames acting as a shield to keep everything on the outside from knowing what happened within. Like this, the group would have a chance to figure out what to do before the fire dissipated, for the shield would follow shortly. Yuki already had an idea as he hopped out of the truck, and then clambered onto the bed of the truck so he could sit on the truck's roof.

"As entertaining as this," announced the younger Umbran as he tossed a Poke Ball into the air to reveal his Alakazam. "I suggest we just Teleport to Mauville." At the suggestion, Yuki focused on an image of the very city he mentioned. It was a pleasant place despite the Game Corner suckering souls into gambling their lives away.

As his mind provided a panoramic view of the city, Yuki decided to focus on a more specific area, a house, where he could imagine a certain auto mechanic tinkering with a moped of sorts. Chase missed none of this, for he was aware that the youth wanted him to take notice of these images, and nodded once he was sure he could get there. It would take a bit of effort, seeing as how he's never been to the city before and was expected to perfectly appear before the mechanic, but Chase would get it done.

Before he could get started with the idea however, he waited for Yuki's gesture of approval. The Umbran, meanwhile, was patiently waiting to see what Xaviero had to say about this, though he was expecting the man to agree with his sentiments. These Shroomish and Breloom were troublesome beyond compare, and it was in the best interest of the Eon Pokemon that the two moved on.

Already the flames of Surya's Protect were starting to fade away to reveal how they were, in fact, completely surrounded by the infuriating mushrooms and their evolutions. If Xaviero chose to stay and fight, then Yuki would concede to the decision. It made little to no difference to the youth, so long as he reached his destination within the day. At least he would be able to make sure that Lexaeus was fed.

If Xaviero was to agree, then Chase would make quick work of the Teleporting, though it would not occur without a few Bullet Seeds slipping through the flickering defenses of Surya's Protect.

"Fungi with a vendetta." The youth sighed as he shook his head. He swore he would speak with Kuzumi about this the next time he saw the youth, for allowing these Shroomish to continue on such a rampage would endanger the innocent. In fact, although he couldn't claim to be innocent, he could claim that he was, at least, offended by the blatant disrespect from these Pokemon.

((Bleh, this post will be small... << Hope you don't mind xD))

Xaviero swore as the mushrooms seemed to only get more infuriated at their attempts to push back the humans and their contraptions. Why these fungi were so irritable was anyone's guess, but the Italian didn't care much for their antics. They were interfering, and therefore, they had to be moved. The man was very one-track-minded; he preferred to finish tasks without any sort of distractions, and his Pokemon crying as she was struck with Bullet Seeds was more than enough to infuriate him.

"Hanabi, Flamethrower," he called out, moving to pick Chiara up off of the ground. His eyes narrowed as he watched the Pokemon try and push forward, only to be stopped by a Protect, which, coincidentally, trapped Hanabi's Flamethrower short of actually striking the mushrooms. The fire did, however, help Surya's cause of making their actions invisible to the Shroomish and Breloom.

When Yuki spoke up, releasing Chase, Xaviero's gaze flickered toward him for a moment. That suggestion sounded like a great plan to the Italian, and he nodded his agreement, glancing to his Pokemon. He returned Chiara into her ball, a reassuring thought entering his mind before she vanished into it to calm the Pokemon. Hanabi, however, he was a bit more reluctant to return for the moment. He knew that Chase'd likely have a problem Teleporting the Dark Pokemon into town.

The Italian would wait until Chase was prepared, and right before the Teleport occurred, he would return Hanabi to her ball. Just as they vanished, the Protect did as well, and Bullet Seeds ravaged the land where they had just been a moment ago, actually digging into the dirt road and creating potholes for the next unlucky driver to go over. The mushrooms were angry that the humans had escaped, a dull roar coming from them as they objected to their target vanishing. The Pokemon then turned and began to travel the road to Maville angrily, looking for any humans to mess with on the way. Whatever had angered them must have been significant, for they seemed to want to wreak havoc wherever they could.

When they reappeared in Maville, Xaviero glanced around before turning his gaze to Yuki, one eyebrow quirked in question. He wasn't quite sure what they were doing at this specific location, but he had a guess that it had something to do with Yuki and his connections that seemed to be spread across the world.

The Teleport went smoothly, and Chase was quite relieved by this. Aerei he knew well, especially Mt. Stella and Cerebral Clearing, but this place called Hoenn? He only knew Slateport, and even then it was just the Contest Hall that he was familiar with. Still, the Alakazam chose not to reveal these thoughts, and instead quirked a brow at his trainer as the boy worked to move the bikes off the back of the truck.

After watching for a few more minutes, Chase decided to assist the younger Umbran by using Psychic to move the bikes. When the youth silently thanked him for the assistance, Chase bowed his head once in acknowledgement. Yuki paid no attention to this action though, for he was hopping down so he could gather the keys from the ignition.

Once he had the keys, Yuki glanced over at Xaviero briefly before he motioned towards the open garage off to the side. Inside the garage was the very mechanic the boy was expecting, and it seemed the woman was staring at the truck with a look of disbelief. Before Yuki could even utter a greeting, the woman threw here monkey wrench at the boy which forced him to move sideways.

"The Hell did you do to the truck, Blue Mew!?" She demanded, her accent pegging her for someone that was from the Kanto region. As she strode over to the two males, it was revealed that she was a brunette, her hair put up in a tight bun, with chocolate brown eyes that seemed a bit dull, as if light had no place with her. Due to her work with the moped, she was wearing her usual mechanics attire and appeared to have oil smudged on one cheek while the rest seemed to be on her hands and apron.

As she inspected Stern's truck, Yuki gestured impatiently to the wrench and waited as Chase used a bit of psychic energy to flick the tool into his hand. "Used it as a shield when a swarm of Shroomish attacked." He said this in a tone that was so matter-of-fact, the woman actually looked up at him and squinted to see if the boy was serious. As always, the Umbran revealed nothing, and once the woman gave up scrutinizing his face, Yuki continued.

"Just be glad it survived." When the woman scoffed about how he of all people should have been more devastated than she was, Yuki shrugged the matter off. "We're moving on; you know who to contact." With that said, Yuki returned his Alakazam into its Poke Ball before he grabbed a bike and swung a leg over the seat so he could settle down on it.

"It's going under your title, kiddo. No way I can afford the metal needed to fix this," replied the woman as she experimentally tapped the hood of the truck. As if to answer her unspoken question, the hood popped open and spilled smoke. At the sight of this, the woman groaned in displeasure, for so much would have to be tinkered with before the truck would be back to its old self.

"I know." And with that, Yuki glanced over at Xaviero with a look that questioned whether the Italian was ready to get moving or not. If the man revealed he had nothing to say or do, then Yuki would expectantly wait for his companion to hop onto the remaining bike so they could get going. Hopefully the pair would get going soon.

((You can totally take us through. xD An early heads-up though: totally going to ditch the bikes and the ledges that lead to Lavaridge. /o/))
