Chase sat down under a tree, a little bit away from the main area of the park. There was people playing and the sun shining down on everyone else, but he felt he needed to be away from it a bit. Sebastian was out of his ball, curled up to rest as Chase leaned against him.

"So what do you think? Keep training my current team up, or go out find some more? Be nice to have pokémon from everywhere, so I can have like one of each type and I don't have to worry about types and stuff as well as outrunning everything.."

He heard a whine from the dragon behind him, making him glance back with a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, you're still my favourite. Know I shouldn't really have any, but still. No matter what team I get, you'll always be on it." he reached back to the Flygon, softly stroking what he could reach.

"You have to go with your heart." came a musing voice which had him looking up quickly in surprise, just as a Mismagius swooped down, causing him to yelp and flinch away.

The ghost never did do anything too much though, her having turned back to the woman in the long black coat who had spoken to him earlier.

"Sorry if I startled you down there. Noticed Mystery here about to target you for a prank. When I spot it, I do what I can to stop it." Iz smiled to him, shooting a glare sideways to the Misdreavus. She attempted to look innocent for a moment before being unable to help but cackle and float off elsewhere to find someone else to prank instead.

"Um.. It's okay I guess..?" Chase said slowly, not really sure what to do, feeling Sebastian slowly clinging and curling around him tighter defensively.

"I still meant what I said though." she mused, keeping her distance on seeing that Seb wasn't too comfortable.

"Which part was that?" Chase blinked, starting to sit up more to listen to Iz, doing what he could to calm Seb down again.

"You were deciding between training and catching? You just have to do what feels right. There isn't a right or wrong answer, and you can always go back on it later if you feel like it." she mused, smiling. She could see the link between Sebastian and Chase very clearly in how easy it was for the pair to react to each other and communicate without speaking. It wasn't something she got to see too often in some of the people who lived around here.

"I want to be able to train new pokémon, grow a huge group of friends that means I get loads of pokémon to play with and stuff, just I don't wanna throw away my current team to some box somewhere when there's always a chance everyone can be stronger and faster than ever." he frowned, looking up to Iz as through the strange lady might be able to help him out with everything. Well, at least she could answer back in a language he could understand.

"How about one final battle then? Your pokémon get a chance to show you if they need that bit of training or not. They win, you can be confident in pausing their training, they lose you can keep them on your team as you search for new pokémon." Iz offered, making Chase pause as he thought about it.

"Maybe, yeah..." he mused, smiling as he got up, grinning to her. He started thanking her for the offer before running off to find somewhere large enough to battle properly.

Sebastian and Iz looked at each other for a moment, seeming to be watching each other before Iz spoke up.

"Let me guess, he's always like this?"

Sebastian couldn't help but crack a smile as he got himself back up, escaping the under tree area and started to move to follow his trainer once more.

"Okay, Sebastian I'm keeping whatever, so he doesn't need to battle." Chase decided, Sebastian looking to him with a tilted head. It took Chase a small while to work it out, before he smiled. "Fine, you can still battle, but doesn't matter what the outcome is, you're still with me forever." he grinned. Iz chuckled from the other side of the field.

"Whatever you send out, I'll try to find one of my pokémon equal to yours. That way type advantages won't be the cause of victory." Iz mused, Chase nodding in agreement.

Flare was sent out first, Iz taking no time at all before sending Taka in next to him.

"What happened to it's eye..?" Chase asked, curiosity biting harder than the desire to fight at this point.

"He didn't have the nicest of childhoods." Iz mused with a sigh.

Taka shook his mane in indignation, barely caring for the conversation going on around him, only the Arcanine opposite. The pair stared each other down for a short moment before a Nasty Plot shot through Takas frame.

"Agility!" Chase called, noticing that Taka had clearly decided the battle had started regardless.

Flare quickly started to move, his body surging with the speed he'd produced in him for a moment and causing him to dash about for a moment.

"Now Extremespeed!" he followed on, the hyperness from the Agility quickly being passed forwards into the power which would be throwing into Taka.

Iz seemed to have decided to give Chase a small advantage in not being calling out attacks throughout. Afterall, if he were to decide how his pokémon were doing in their training and her tactics threw him off his judgement, it wouldn't be very good for him.

Taka therefore was left with a small struggle, unable to get out the way of the super quick move and being pushed backwards quite a way. A Payback quickly started, the momentum she'd gained from being thrown backwards collecting before turning back towards Flare.

"Dodge it! Jump!" Chase called, before pausing and smiling. He remembered back to the fight he'd had with Yuki, another where two fire types couldn't use any fire moves. That Growlithe had been his owns brother, and had some really quite fun egg moves...

"Iron Tail on the way down!" he grinned, getting back into the excitement of battle. It was nice to fight without so much pressure on him any more. Nice to relax.

Flare only just managed to get out the way of the attack thrown at him, the extra push in his muscles just making him jump high enough, though the second half wasn't quite so easy to accomplish. Iron Tail? Really?

Flare did what he could to try and imitate what he'd seen of the move from before, making the tail glow in that way of before and aim it down towards the Ninetales. His tail now was at least larger and longer than it could have been as a Growlithe.

Taka had a benefit here though, of knowing exactly how to use his main egg move. He quickly started to prepare it, though managed to forget about the added speed of the other, even falling through the air. The prepared attack had no chance to charge and distracted him enough to stop him thinking about dodging. The Iron Tail barely did a thing, the tail not nearly having hardened enough to do any real damage, but it was enough to cut Taka off from his concentration.

The two broke apart once more, before turning to watch at each other. Taka restarted the Dark Pulse, it building in his mouth quickly.

"Charge through it with Extremespeed, then Crunch." Chase called, biting his lip slightly, a little worried about how much that attack could hurt his pokémon. he'd been winning so far, but that didn't mean he was out the woods entirely.

The Dark Pulse fired, a large shot of deep black energy firing directly towards Flare as he took off running directly back. As much as he could, Flare tried to cut through the air, make it so as little of him was facing the pulse as possible and charging.

Flare yelped in pain as the attack rushed over him, it still hurting a decent amount. The amount of time it had to hurt him though was little enough that he was still going strong on the other side, launching into the Crunch.

Flares jaws locked around a slightly surprised looking Taka who didn't look all too capable of shaking him off. He wasn't the best at the kinda of super close physical attacks like this. If he ever needed to get in close, he got out just as quickly.

The fox did his best to try and get the other off, but there wasn't a lot he could do. Rapidly weakening, he groaned in complaint before Iz withdrew him. He could still have fought more, but she didn't want this to drag out all day.

"Nicely done." she mused, Chase looking over with a smile, him seeming almost shy at the success of his pokémon.

Flare quickly ran over, licking Chases face in celebration of winning despite the small boys complaints, causing Iz to laugh.

"Yeah, Flare. You did good, now stop it! You're getting me all wet!" he complained, trying to dry himself off with his sleeve. He grinned up to the Legendary Pokémon, before withdrawing him. Maybe Flare was fine to pause the training of for a bit...

Chase smiled with an amount of confidence that he wasn't really too sure where it had come from, looking over to Iz.

"Okay, next one." he smiled, bringing out Nova. The Starmie looked out to where it was, spinning around a little before working everything out, seeming quite pleased with the confused look on Iz's face.

"What is that..?" she mused, staring towards the large red ruby in the middle of the field, before her gaze suddenly noticed the fine lines around it, the full extent of the large star revealing in an instant much to her surprise and glee.

"Nice Starmie.." she chuckled, seeing the creature with ease now she knew what to look for. Chase giggled, Novas gem flashing too. It was fun watching peoples reactions to seeing the Mysterious Pokémon for the first time.

Alchemy got released, the pair of psychics looking at each other quickly. Alchemy seemed to go through a similar kind of realisation thing as Iz, though it happening a lot quicker and with less shock on seeing it. She was a psychic, of course these things didn't surprise her... Yeah...

"Okay, Nova, time to fight. Go for a Rapid Spin Swift." Chase smiled, looking towards the fight area with glee.

"On your own Alchemy. Do what you can." Iz called to her pokémon. Taka was always more than glad to jump in for himself, but others needed to be poked to make sure they weren't always reliant on her words.

Nova turned so its side was facing towards the Manipulate Pokémon, spinning up quite quickly. Several Swift stars soon got released before Nova launched to join them, all stars flying towards their target.

Alchemy quickly started working on what she could, throwing up a Telekinisis to stop what she could from hitting her. While it helped in stopping Nova, the Swift stars still shot through, hitting her hard and causing her to drop to the ground, quickly wailing out in Fake Tears as was a common tactic for her first hit.

Chase bit his lip slightly on seeing the pokémon on the floor, looking to Iz in confusion. Why send out something so weak it complained that much over one little hit? Iz's look back to him of nothing but pure confidence helped him a little bit in remembering to attack once more, but that didn't make him completely sure.

"Um, Water Gun?" he called, not seeming sure what to do at this point, Nova mirroring the thought for a moment before Alchemy took the moment to strike.

She vanished quickly from the spot where she had been curled, appearing just behind the large star to hit with a dead on Faint Attack before preparing a Future Sight for a moment later.

Nova was quickly snapped out of any thoughts of what had happened before from the pains, shooting the best Water Gun it could at the small psychic. Chase seemed to have broken free of it as well, silently cursing that he'd managed to fall for the ploy as well as his pokémon.

"Light Screen, Minimise, then Power Gem." Chase called, watching out carefully.

A glistening shimmer of light soon aided in coating Nova, adding to how easy it was to see it at that point before the Minimise had the star shrinking down, leaving quite a nice outer shell of Light Screen around it which really was very pretty to look at.

A Flatter came from Alchemy, her applauding for the beauty of what Nova had been able to create which had the star seeming quite flushed before the Future Sight took effect, shattering the screens and causing quite a good deal of confusion. Why would she show how much she loved the screens only to make them vanish so soon??

The Power Gem fired off, the power of it heightened by the pride it had felt from the previous prettiness. The fact that Nova would still manage to get off an attack through the confusion seemed to have passed Alchemy by though, her being hit dead on and forced quite a ways back.

"Now, Recover and calm down. She wanted to confuse you, that's all." Chase called, frowning a little.

Nova seemed to pause, attempting to concentrate as the back half of it slowly span around and force a healing wash to come over and make things better, but nothing seemed to want to happen. Nova ended up carrying on trying until it forgot about managing to stay in the air and fell, landing awkwardly on one of its legs and seeming in quite a bit of pain.

Alchemy couldn't help but giggle, keeping one arm up as she carried on with the Heal Block. It was fun watching pokémon who were confused and didn't know why their healing wasn't working. Even the trainer seemed a bit confused.

"Fine, ignore that. Rapid Spin to wake yourself up, then Bubblebeam."

Nova quickly started to spin, the force of it somehow managing to clear its head before the blast of bubbles forced its way over to Alchemy once more. A Doubleslap started, her trying to pop the bubbles before they hit her, but her hands ached quickly, plus there being just too many bubbles to be able to pop them all this way. She fired off a Psybeam to get back at the star, but the Bubblebeam soon followed itself up with a Hydro Pump, causing the small psychic to fall backwards and faint.

"Not bad at all..." Iz mused, returning her to her ball for some more rest as Chase did the same. "You've done well in training your team as much as you have. I almost wonder why you worry so much for them."

"I'm just not all that confident sometimes..." he murmured, one arm crossing his body to clutch his other elbow.

"Don't worry about it. For the next fight, mind if I face your Flygon?" she asked, making him look quite confused.

"Huh? Sebastian?" he looked back to the bright blue dragon perched next to him. "If you want but..."

"Why? It's not always easy to sit back and watch your pokémon fight when you can think of so many ways to help them out. I stay quiet to make it fair, but that doesn't mean I like to. I'd like the chance to fight with your Flygon because no matter the result you know he is to stay with you, so I am able to fight my hardest alongside. Once I have been able to battle at least once this way, it ought to help me feel more comfortable about sending my others in unguided once more." she explained with a smile.

The whole thing seemed to go over Chases head, but he shrugged, gesturing to Sebastian that it was his turn to take the field. Atacama was brought out next to him, the two dragons staring at each other for a short moment.

"When you're ready." Iz smiled, allowing Chase the first turn.

"Quick Attack!" Chase called, wanting to start off with something a little tame, working his way into the battle with his most beloved pokémon rather than rushing across too fast.

Sebastian blinked for a moment. He'd not used a Quick Attack as anything but a Trapinch, it'd been a long time now, but he was sure he could manage. A flap or two of his wings and he was quickly zipping forwards once more, using the speed of the move and the speed he'd been able to grow into with the evolutions.

"Sand Attack, then Dual Chop." Iz called, watching her Gabite in action, glad to be able to speak for once.

Atacama looked around with an amount of wary. The speeds of this Quick Attack were higher than normal, he was sure of it. While he threw out the sand to try and make the larger dragons accuracy and aim so much less, the timing of the move was completely wrong. The Quick Attack hit, forcing him backwards and the Dual Chop which was aimed to hit on the retreating Mystic Pokémon, the speed of him was much too much for him to be able to deal with.

"Great!" Chase called, jumping up and down in joy of seeing the moves play out so well and without his pokémon taking any dam- wait, Sebastian was scratched? But the Gabite didn't get a chance to hit! It took the young boy a moment to realise the ability of the other, but the moment he did he decided it wasn't too worth worrying about. Just some silly little ability, not anything dangerous.

"Okay, now Earthquake. If he gets away follow with Dragon Claw." Chase offered up, biting his lip. It wasn't the most sound of attack plans, but it wasn't too easy to help.

"Atacama, Sand Tomb. Get him entombed down on the ground." Iz followed with, watching carefully. The idea relied on Atacama being able to keep up with the others speed, and the match up made that unlikely in the first place, let alone against something trained for speed.

Sebastian flipped in the air, hurtling down to the ground to hit the ground with the full force of his weight rushing through his tail to make the earthquake start off. Atacama did what he could to force up the Sand Tomb around the temporarily grounded pokémon, trying to keep him down.

The force of the move shook the entire field, each trainer glad that they'd managed to find a proper battling field to play on rather than being in the middle of anywhere for this. Battling areas tended to be a little more well reinforced against destroying the entire neighborhood with one move. Atacama was the first and hardest hit, the Cave Pokémon pressing himself to the ground in a natural attempt at a defense against the move.

Sebastian meanwhile looked very confused. The Sand had managed to take enough of a hold on him before Atacama lost concentration that he was very confused at the pain that came whenever he tried to fly out of the way of the move he's created. The shuddering of the earth wasn't affecting him nearly so much as the other, but it was clear he was confused as to what was going on.

By the time the ground calmed down again and the two trainers could properly survey the battlefield once more, things seemed a little off. Sebastian was back int the air, but the fins n his tail looked quite shot where they'd been stuck in the Earthquake for long enough to hurt, not to mention the scratches and grazes over due to him trying to get out of the Sand Tomb.

Atacama meanwhile was looking a little worse for wear, the Earthquake having hit him hard. While it wasn't a direct hit, and he was still on solid ground at that point, the shaking and the flying debris hadn't left him untouched.

"Now, Dragon Claw!" Chase called, hoping being the first to call might help make sure that he was in, attacking and out again before Iz could do anything.

"Counter it with your own, Rush it to the ground and Slash." Iz spoke simply, hoping Atacama might be able to come up with some way of using it on his own. While she liked telling her pokémon exactly what to do, that didn't mean she never wanted them thinking for themselves, and Atacama had never really gotten much chance to fight without her guidance yet.

Sebastian flew down, his claws starting to glow as he swooped in before the attack which ended up colliding with the wings on Atacamas arms. As Sebastian attempted to retreat after the move mostly failed, Atacama started to charge up in power, finding the draconic energy he needed in order to Dragon Rush up at the other.

"Screech and Dragonbreath!" Chase called, biting his lip on seeing the all powerful dragon move being charged up.

Atacama flew upwards, colliding with the less than suspecting Flygon with barely any troubles at all, hitting the Mysitc Pokémon dead on. While the attack was unpracticed and not as powerful as it should perhaps have been, it still hurt like nothing else on the other dragon. The Screech turned from a horrific sounding attack to a howl of pain, Sebastian flying higher and further away to make sure he didn't get hit again.

The Slash seemed as though it had managed to fail entirely for Atacama, he having forgotten entirely that he were meant to do it until he'd already started falling away, but as the Dragonbreath came after him to follow he twisted in the air, using the Slash attack to cut the long ranged attack in half with minimal pain to him.

Atacama landed, looking really quite out of breath but with a satisfied sort of look on his face. Sebastian meanwhile seemed as though he were barely staying in the air after the Dragon Rush.

Chases face fell as he saw what had happened to his pokémon. The fact that one move hitting had done so much damage worried him a little bit, but it didn't mean he was about to instantly give up.

"One last attack, Sebastian." he said, looking to his partner carefully. He couldn't help but glance over to Iz who seemed to smile quite warmly in his direction, as though approving that he wasn't willing to send his pokémon to fight until the bitter end no matter what happened.

"Hyper Beam." he breathed, hoping Iz wouldn't hear over the large distance that the battle took up, leaving her that bit more lost.

"Dragon Rage." she countered, though with no real reason to know if it was a good move or not.

The two moves were quickly charged, each blasting out at full power. The Hyper Beam managed to cut through the Dragon Rage with reasonable ease as Atacama watched, his eyes widening before he ducked out of the way. Even ducking though, he couldn't avoid it entirely, the large fin on his back still managing to get caught by the beam.

Sebastian smiled faintly on seeing the other dragon having collapsed to the ground, even if it wasn't in pain or exhaustion. The Flygon slowly returned back to the field, landing back just behind Chase to rest himself after the effort needed in the Hyper Beam mixed in for the damage from the rest of the fight.

Atacama slowly and warily stood up again after the beam of energy had faded. He looked around for a moment, seeming confused before spotting his opponent getting hugs from the other trainer. His eyes lit up on seeing that, as it could only mean that they'd given up the fight. He'd won?

A shot of joy and pride ran through him, elating him until there was a nice glow over him.. Which then carried on to rush over him in a bright white light which to the pair f them now was easily synonymous with evolution. By the time it faded and Iz was left with her Garchomp who looked like he was ready to face an entire other fight by the energy he'd gained, though Iz brought him back anyway.

"You did well, Atacama. Enjoy your new strength." she mused and she returned him to his ball once more.

"Omen, your turn." chase smiled, throwing the ball which contained the Ninjask to let him onto the field. The speed of the creature was clear from the moment Iz saw him, smiling faintly as she did so. This one could be a challenge...

"Mystery, go for it." she mused, the Mismagius floating forwards with a mischievous grin. While the almost certain to be overwhelming speed of the creature could be a problem, she had her own thoughts on how to deal with it.

"Double Team, then Screech." Chase called, smiling faintly as the first command seemed to happen in the blink of an eye. A huge amount of Ninjask suddenly appeared, circling Mystery in nanoseconds, the wing beats seeming to only get faster as the Ninja Pokémon psyched himself up with the Speed Boost.

Mystery barely seemed to flinch at the idea of being surrounded by the bugs, instead a huge amount of foliage from nearby springing to life in a Magical Leaf, aiming to hit each of the duplicates to force them all away, though the Screech did put her off a bit, leaving a couple of the copies untouched.

"Okay, now go for a Mind Reader, then X-Scissor." Chase said, biting his lip that all but two of the copies were so easily destroyed.

Mystery barely seemed to care, phasing herself out to vanish and appear elsewhere, shooting a Confuse Ray across the three Ninjask with barely a care in the world. The fact she got hit by the X-Scissor and had a bit of pain barely seemed to matter.

The speed of Omen suddenly seemed to be more of a curse than a blessing, the speed making him hit against the copies to dispel them, barely able to concentrate of Chase calling out to try and help him.

"Just calm down Omen! Relax a bit and you can attack harder than ever after!" he whined, hoping that his bug would be able to understand him, but the speed meant he was barely even visible, hitting into things all the time.

Mystery couldn't help but laugh at how easy it was to turn the bugs best advantage into its worst weakness. She cast a Mean Look onto the bug, not wanting to let the bug so easily get away while she was having fun.

Eventually Omen did manage to break himself of the confusion, though by then the continued Mean Looks had done their trick, holding him in place. He charged forwards towards Mystery at top speed, but her eyes started to glow once more with the Confuse Ray.

The confusion started just in time to make Omens move useless, a Slash which passed straight through her without her needing to think about dodging before she started watching as the helpless bug started to flail once more in confusion. Mystery burst out in a cackled laughter once more.

"Mystery, can you finish it off and stop playing? It's cruel to make a child watch this." Iz called with a sigh, seeing Chases helpless look as Omen crashed into everything once more.

Mystery grinned, spraying out a Power Gem in all directions, one managing to hit Omen with barely a glancing blow, but the pain he had caused himself in confusion plus the 4x weakness taking him out in one shot.

"While speed it a useful tool, you still need to learn to control it, Chase. Even through confusion. There needs to be a natural sense of what to do, not a thought up one. I'm sorry that my Mismagius likes to play around rather than fight properly, for you to need to watch that." she sighed, signalling the ghost back to her side.

Chase sniffed a little, frowning as he returned Omen to his pokéball. Okay, he would definitely need more training. Now, no point getting all upset. It's just a battle, and it could have been a lot worse... Next match.

"Linus, your turn." Chase called, getting his breath back to him after the last match. He felt a little off still having seen what had happened to Omen, but the opponent here couldn't be as untrustworthy as- Oh Arceus it's a Weaville.

"Does he behave better than the Mismagius..?" he asked, frowning at the Sharp Claw Pokémon.

"Kira is a female, and she wont be purposefully cruel to your Zebstrika in any way the same way as Mystery was. Don't worry." Iz reassured, before giving a look to Kira as though to make sure she didn't get any ideas. Kira rolled here eyes, setting her gaze to the Zebstrika.

"Agility." Chase called, watching the stand off. Weaville had always been a fast species, and had been in his thoughts for catching for a while, just he'd never run into one of its family in the wild before. This might be a good chance to see if his longing for the species was right.

Kira paused for a moment, hesitating as she waited for orders, looking back to Iz for a moment only to see the shake of the head which let her know he was on her own. Quietly she cursed to herself before looking to the sped up zebra before her.

A Quick Attack started things off for her, wanting to test the waters of what was going on with the fight, only for Linus to be able to with barely a thought dodge out the way. Kira may have been a naturally fast species, but she hadn't been trained for speed the same way Linus clearly had.

"Charge, then Spark." Chase called, smiling a little as he saw that his pokémon were outspeeding the Weaville. It didn't feel like it ought to be possible to him, yet here it was all happening...

Linus soon crackled with the newly charged energy, buzzing with the tiniest hint of extra speed from his ability feeling the electricity added to him. Kira simultaneously stared to Hone Claws, sharpening her claws and her eyesight to figure out that bit better where the speedy thing would be next.

Linus soon started to run in for the Spark attack, but the target vanishing before him. Kiras Faint Attack hit him on the side of the neck where he'd not been expecting it, but the amount of stored electricity that passed from that into Kira was more than she had ever expected. Someone hadn't realised the boost in power from the Charge coming before.

"Flame Charge, keep speeding up!" Chase called, smiling, getting back into the battle without being so worried any more at all.

The moment anything to do with flames had been mentioned, Kira was starting to plan ways out. She stored an amount of dark energy on her claws, ready to Night Slash at the charging Thunderbolt Pokémon, only to freeze just before she could jump, a residual lick of electricity paralyzing her to the spot just before she were hit backwards with the force and pain of flaming hooves to put a big dent in her HP.

Kira decided that this wasn't working nearly as planned. Rather than attacking like this all the time, she needed to take a leaf out of Takas book as he'd explained to her before. Sometimes it's better to hit from afar and not be hit back...

"Flame Charge again That last one went really well!" Chase grinned, Linus seeming to only agree as the charge continued towards the downed Weaville.

Kira fired up an Ice Beam, attempting to freeze to the Zebstrika before he could get to her, but the paralysis didn't do too much to help her out. She ended up missing, hitting the ground in front of him, but that almost worked just as well. The hooves could barely get any grip on the ice, causing Linus to get out of control quite quickly. The ice melted fast from the flames on his hooves, but it had stopped the attack in its tracks.

"Don't worry about it, go for a Wild Charge." Chase called, hoping Linus wouldn't have gotten too flustered by the sudden loss in grip. It seemed that he hadn't too much, carrying on forwards the short distance that was left to Kira. She tried to make a move to stop herself but had been slowed significantly enough by the paralysis that she couldn't quite move in time, getting knocked back and knocked out.

Chase grinned happily, applauding Linus for his work, the zebra whinnying in agreement of a good job, before being returned. Yeah, he could do without a Weaville. That one didn't look all that great, even though the trainer was clearly good at what she did.

"Not too bad.." she mused, smiling as she withdrew the fainted Kira from the field. "Now, last match. See what surprises come in store..." she chuckled, releasing Fledge.

Chase looked a little confused, not really getting the whole surprises thing, but guessed she was just being weird to psyche him out. He released Zane none the less, the two flying types looking at each other across the field.

"Fledge, you're on your own. Play fair for at least a little bit of it." Iz called, Fledge blinking in confusion for a moment before realising what she meant, taking to the skies in preparation of the battle to come.

"Zane, Agility then Crunch." Chase called, hoping that Iz knew what she was doing sending out a flying against his rock flying, before guessing she didn't have much choice with it being the last battle. Maybe they should have worked things out a bit better at the start?

Zane used his Agility as he took to the sky, flapping his wings in the sped up way, before soaring forwards towards the Swallow Pokémon, maw open ready to Crunch down on whatever his mouth hit.

Fledge didn't take much to use an Agility at the same time as Zane, then Quick Attacking out the way of him without too much trouble. Iz couldn't help but notice he hadn't been trained to much as the rest for the same kinds of speed without question.

"Okay, go Scary Face, then Ancientpower." Chase followed up, frowning a little. Until he'd been put up against a same natural speed opponent, he hadn't realised how little he'd trained Zane for speed either. At least he had the move which helped scare the opponents into slowing down in comparison as well as speeding himself up.

The Scary Face wasn't too hard for the Fossil Pokémon to pull off, only needing the merest smirk to make the Swellow shudder a little, missing a wing beat and giving him enough time to charge the Ancientpower.

The Ancientpower call was enough of an excuse to Fledge though that it was time to stop being so nice. If they could go for type advantages, so could he! The metal glints on the tips of his wings shone briefly as he swooped in for a Steel Wing at the same time. The Steel outline of the wings helped to cut the rock move up with significantly less pain being caused to Fledge before the move hit Zane, a screech in surprised pain coming from the Aerodactyl.

"Try again while it's not looking!" Chase called, Zane quickly turning to fire another Ancientpower at the back of the Swellow, only to see that the Swellow Double Teamed just in time to be able to miss being hit.

"Okay, calm a bit. Agility up so you can catch them all, then Iron Head through all of them, find the real one!" Chase called up to the sky battle, biting his lip. That other bird was really clever for what it was...

Fledge and all his copies didn't seem to like the idea of being hunted down like that, each of them turning towards Zane and starting something that had Chase confused like nothing else.

"Is that... Thunderbolt..?" he asked, looking over to Iz who could only smile up to her bird with pride.

The electricity started to fly from everywhere, the jagged bolts flying through the air making it hazardous for Zane to be anywhere, but the Fossil hadn't even thought about dodging, only flying on with the Iron Head to continue the orders.

"Zane, get down!" Chase called, wincing as Zane were zapped from the sky, barely having managed to cut the amount of Double Team copies in half with the reckless move.

"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly to the pile of rock pokémon on the ground not too far from him, but Zane wasn't about to let himself be taken down quite so easily.

"Okay, Ancientpower to get rid of the copies, then Ice Fang Sky Drop the real one." he said, smiling faintly to his pokémon for being quite so brave about it all.

The Ancientpower did manage to help remove a good deal of the copies, all the way down to having only two left, but they managed to each remain on either side of him, circling him near perfectly, matching his speed increase with their own Agility moves.

Zane managed to end up confused as to what to do just enough for Fledge to charge up another strange move. If it were that he'd heard Chases words or that the Aerodactyl had already started to prepare, Fledge hd decided on his own icy rebuttal, an Ice Beam hitting Zane dead on.

Zane fell from the sky once more, this time with a layer of ice covering his wings finely, but just enough to stop him getting back to the air again. He called out in protest and pain, trying to shake off the freezing substance, but it didn't work. Unable to get easily back into the air and in pain he simply gave up, flopping to the ground in defeat.

Chase frowned at how his pokémon had given in, but after what he'd been through could hardly blame him. Twice falling from the sky from super effective hits? That wasn't too easy on you. Took some crazy kind of confidence (or stupidity) to try for a third time.

"Not too bad at all." Iz smiled to Chase, crossing the battlefield towards Chase as he withdrew Zane to his ball once more. Fledge moved to perch on her head in celebration of winning as she passed underneath.

"Guess I still need to train a bit, hmm?" Chase frowned, looking at Zane and Omens balls sadly.

"Everyone needs to train sometimes, even me. You still have a very good team, just you need a bit more confidence, courage and control. Keep your Aerodactyl and Ninjask with you as you travel some more, then you still have three more spaces open for anything you could want in your team. They'll get the training they need with you to match the rest of your current team, and you can keep training more. It's a wonderful cycle to be part of." she smiled to him, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"You think I could ever get to be as good as you some day? Even Sebastian couldn't win while you were really trying. I wanna be all good like that!" he said, looking up to her with hope in his eyes.

"No doubt about it. You'll be able to outspeed anyone you look at before long. Now, get training." she smiled, nudging him away playfully, only for him to start running out of the area, back to the nearest pokémon centre. He'd heal up his team then sort everything out, just like she'd said.

It was all gonna work out great. It had to! Even a grown up had said!
