It was a new moon tonight, the perfect night to be out, and so Yuki was wandering around town, not particularly caring where his feet carried him. Eventually he found himself near a restaurant, no doubt it was closed at this late hour, and the boy eyed the place warily. Perfect nights like this were usually the nights that had the most excitement. He turned away, finding he wasn't particularly interested in messing around with a restaurant's contents, only to freeze mid-step. The Umbran heard something behind him, but the only thing behind him was that specific building. Of course I had to be right... The boy thought with mild amusement as he slowly turned back to face the building. As it was, he had been wandering the back of most buildings, hugging the wilderness more than civilization, which led him to where he currently was: behind Le Restaurant Micle. Out of sheer curiosity, the teen silently strode forward, his feet seemingly not touching the ground with the lack of noise his strides made, until he found himself listening in on a one-sided conversation. Figuring that the real action would happen when the people left the restaurant, Yuki slid into the shadows, pulling the hood of his jacket over his head to cover his eyes so the dulled, yellow glow wouldn't be as noticeable as usual, and the boy practically disappeared into the darkness. It was this kind of moment that reminded the youth why he preferred to wear dark colors, specifically black. It was also because he was trying to blend in with the pitch darkness that he zipped up his jacket to hide the dark green of his shirt. With all the precautions finished, he leaned his back against the wall, perfectly shadowed, and waited for the scene to play out. |

Aaron was out with the guys. A couple friends he barely hung out with, and could barely call friends. Earlier they'd been out partying, the man had won a badge after all. That was certainly call for a beer, or four. Of course, drunk boys have a knack for getting into trouble, and so the night segued from celebration to mischief. One of the three (Very Possibly Aaron) had begun to talk about the ritzy Restaurant Micle. The sort of place that the group could never afford to eat at. The sort of place with a dress code, and snooty workers so high on their pompous horse, they could hardly see the rest of society. These sentiments turned more and more hazardous and the night and alcohol went on, until finally the trio got the idea to go show the restaurant what they thought. That was, of course, what brought Aaron to this point tonight. The men had quickly hopped a flight to Brevis and had found their way to the restaurant in the late night. Equipping themselves with numerous cans of spray paint, they began to discuss their "plan". In the beginning, they had just planned on spraying over the front of the building, right at the entrance so everyone could see, but then someone pointed out that the inside might be even better. After some amounts of discussion and a little persuading the trio decided to break in the back, and begin spraying all over the kitchen and into the dining area. "Fuck, it's cold. Hurry up." Steve, one of Aaron's friends, hissed. He was a fairly brawny man with a shaved head and of course, he was the only one of the three not wearing a jacket. "Hey, I didn't say I'd ever picked a lock before. I just said I knew how." A smaller man responded. Thinner and shorter of the first, Topper was always the more patient of the two. "Then lets just break off the damned thing. You ain't gonna get it!" Steve snapped. "Hey, If you wanna do it, then by all means!" Steve looked around , grabbed a brick lying beside the restaurant dumpster and stepped forward. "Place fucking stinks." Aaron growled. Eager to get inside as well. Steve pounded on the knob a few times before taking a break and looking around. The thud of brick against the metal knob was not quiet. Topper moved towards the end of the Alley and peered down the street. No one yet. "You wanted to do it, so hurry it up!" He hissed down the alleyway. Topper was noticeably more worried about this than the other two. Steve set back to work, finally managing to loosen the knob quite a bit before he began to ram his way through the door. And after a few tries, they were in. Steve crept in first, being, of course the nearest to the entryway, followed by Aaron and a more reluctant Topper. "Let's do this." Aaron chided, flicking on the light switch for the back. Aaron always seemed to get mischievous after he'd had a few drinks, and being around others only seemed to exacerbate things. The group immediately began getting to work. Lacking any real direction though, they just ended up writing profanities and scribbles. Still, It was all going fine. The trio had begun joking and laughing amongst themselves. The longer they were there, the more comfortable and rowdy they seemed to become. Even Topper had settled down. That was until Steve happened to bump into a oddly tall stack of cookware. The pots and pans fell to the ground quickly, banging and rattling with each other for what felt like decades. They all froze for a moment, until the last bit of cookware stopped rattling, and then Topper bolted. Steve chased after, shouting loudly to his friend to slow down. Aaron ran to the door too. "Don't be such Cowards!" He shouted out, before remembering his location and looking around quickly. There still seemed to be no one around. He decided to finish up. He'd just go screw with the dining area, where Aerei's "Elite" eat. Moments afterwords, Aaron heard some commotion outside. A quick peak through the curtains did reveal two uniformed figures circling around the building. Muttering profanities to himself as he rushed to the back door to escape, Aaron pulled a pokeball from his belt. The man wanted to get away before the police could stop him, but he'd get his pokeball ready just in case. As he exited, he saw a person on either side of him. The police were blocking both ends of the alley, and his "friends" were nowhere to be found. The woman officer to his left shouted "STOP!" as her partner tossed forward a pokeball. A Marowak was released from the ball, brandishing his bone club. The woman also sent out a pokemon. The dark night hindered Aaron's sight. He could only make out the silhouette of the other pokemon, but that was enough to make out that it was a Flying type. Aaron grit his teeth and clutched his pokeball tightly. He had really wanted to avoid this fight. This wasn't going to end well. Edited by RedHero, Dec 9 2011, 01:39 PM.

Yuki watched impassively as a couple police officers rushed over and completely passed him over. He didn't blame them for ignoring him though, the boy was pretty much the darkness itself in his current position. Turning his head to watch the progress of both authorities, the teen shook his head. Authorities: something that he gave little to no respect to. It seemed that these officers were getting ready to apprehend the fools that had broken into the restaurant as they stood on either side of the only backdoor that lead into the alley. Shrugging his shoulders, the Umbran held his hand behind his back - so as not to gain unwanted attention - and conjured up a Poke Ball from his PC. Perhaps he could to the wannabe-criminals a slight favor and take out this pair of good-doers? The idea was quickly dismissed as the door swung open and revealed a male figure. Immediately after the guy's arrival, the two officers sent out Pokemon as if battling was going to help catch the culprit. Still, a Marowak and a Noctowl would be a slight challenge for a wannabe-criminal. Yuki let out a silent sigh before throwing his Poke Ball in the direction of the commotion which effectively smacked the female officer on the back of the head. As she let out a curse, Yuki's Alakazam appeared and spun its spoons as if mocking the officer. "My, my," Yuki started, his voice loud enough to be heard but not so loud as it to be considered a shout. "Two-against-one doesn't seem fair; that's almost villainous. Mind if I join in with a Psychic?" That seemed to be a cue to his Pokemon as its eyes started to glow and lifted a spoon to point at the Flying-type. |

There was a squabble behind the woman officer. Someone new had shown up, and he seemed to be on Aaron's side. That was a relief. Aaron couldn't make out many details of what had happened over there, it was mainly dark shapes and silhouettes, apart from the flashes of pokeballs. It couldn't be either Steve or Topper, Aaron heard the stranger's voice, and it definitely wasn't them. They weren't that brave. In any case, whoever this guy was, he was welcome to join in. He turned his attention the the other cop. "Guess this is a more even fight, eh?" Aaron swapped pokeballs. Now that the sides were a little more even, he might be able to get away with giving Strummer a little experience. Considering the battle wasn't quite as critical as it could have been. That was, assuming this new guy was tough enough to handle that bird. He tossed his pokeball to the pavement. The unusually large pokemon popped out of his ball, snapping his claws eagerly. Strummer was a pokemon who enjoyed a good fight. The crabs mouth foamed with bubbles as he gazed at the menacing Marowak. "Marowak, Bone Club, GO!" The policeman yelled. Aaron was nearly caught off guard by the cop's volume. This guy was way too into it. "Vicegrip, take that bone!" Strummer understood Aaron perfectly. As the ground type ran forward and attempted to bring down his club and hit the Krabby, he reached up and seized it with his large claw. Aaron smiled, he doubted the Marowak would be able to pull his bone free from Strummer's Vicegrip. The enemy pokemon bellowed furiously, trying to tug his weapon free. |

The Noctowl was caught easily, though mainly because it hadn't registered Yuki's words to hold a command in them, and this frustrated the female cop. "Attacking us in aid of this criminal marks you as a criminal as well!" The woman barked angrily as she glanced furtively at her captured bird; "Cease your interference and maybe we'll let your actions slide!" Yuki watched as the woman's eyes darted about in attempt to distinguish his silhouette from that which would be everyday objects usually recognizable during the day. It was clear she had no idea where he was and given that alleyways were prone to echoes, Yuki knew he could throw his voice to baffle the authority further. "Oh, he's a criminal?" Yuki's soft voice bounced on the walls, causing his mocking surprise to sound more genuine than he intended. When the woman smiled faintly, believing that Yuki had confronted her based on a misunderstanding, Yuki continued. "Well, he hasn't been legally convicted of this so-called 'crime,' so I think I'm safe from your accusation." With that said, he snapped his fingers in a sequence of commands making his Alakazam flick its wrist and send the Noctowl flying into the policewoman. "You're asking for it," the woman hissed as she pushed herself up and ushered the bird to take flight. "Noctowl, Hypnosis!" "Disable." The Umbran countered quickly while crossing his arms almost impatiently. It was lucky that his Psi Pokemon was the faster of the two because he knew that stupid bird could see both him and his Pokemon perfectly fine. "Follow up with Reflect, and don't forget the Krabby." He added while nodding toward Aaron's battle. Chase's eyes never stopped glowing, as ominous as that probably appeared in the darkness, and the Pokemon easily interrupted the Hypnosis while Disabling it. As the Noctowl unleashed an Air Slash to make up for the lost status move, the bipedal fox created separate light blue cubical barriers around itself and Strummer, both of which faded into transparency so that it wouldn't be a distraction. Because he was busy with the Reflects, the Alakazam had no choice but to take the Air Slash and even grunted in affirmation that the move was successful. Edited by Key2dawn, Nov 25 2011, 09:46 PM.

The stranger's pokemon had used Reflect, that would be helpful. Aaron made a note to thank the guy once they were actually near enough to talk. He couldn't see much of the other two's battle, not that he had the time to turn and look anyway, but judging by their tones, Aaron would guess his ally had the advantage. The Marowak, meanwhile, was still trying to free his weapon, having no luck and grunting angrily. Strummer kept a tight grip on the bone, his mouth bubbling up even more in amusement. His trainer opted for a different strategy. "Marowak, Headbutt!" The ground pokemon stopped struggling instantly, seeming to be awestruck by the brilliance of his trainer. He pulled back his head before jerking it forward with all his might, striking his skull against the crab pokemon's face, thankfully weakened by reflect. "This is resisting arrest. You're only making things worse for yourself!" Aaron sneered at the cop. "No way. Why don't you just let me go and my pokemon won't beat your face in?" Aaron could tell the policeman had been expecting this kindad of response. "Strummer, Bubble." With the help of the reflect, Krabby had still kept his grip on the Marowak's bone, and since the ground pokemon was also reluctant to let go, Aaron and his pokemon had him right where they wanted him. The crab shot a large, high-powered bubble from his mouth, hitting the ground type directly and sending him reeling back, his grip on his bone finally released. |

The woman, quickly discerning that her Noctowl's attack had been successful, was quick to order the bird to use Wing Attack. With that one success, the cop felt that she could handle this easily. The first attacks on her opponent's part were both just lucky shots, the Psychic being a complete sneak attack, and that luck had finally run out. Of course, Yuki didn't see it the way the authority figure did. The Air Slash was a necessary hit to take, though that Wing Attack would have to be dealt with accordingly. Just because a Noctowl wasn't meant for physical attacks and that a Reflect was up to protect Chase didn't mean the Alakazam could afford this hit. "Double Team," Yuki commanded before pausing to allow his Pokemon to split into several copies of itself. Once the clones were to satisfaction of both Pokemon and Trainer, the Umbran continued. "ThunderPunch when it's close." With that said, the teen turned his attention to Aaron's battle in attempt to see how the latter was faring. As far as he could tell, not much was really happening. The two Pokemon were still at a standstill, or so it seemed, and the teen frowned lightly. The teen was starting to wonder if this really was just a wannabe when the Marowak abruptly stumbled away from the Krabby with a Bubble attack popping in its face. Well, that was better. Satisfied with how the other battle was going, Yuki then turned back in time to watch the Noctowl turn in the air, its Wing Attack having struck a clone instead of the original Chase, and dive back in with a Zen Headbutt this time. "Now." Each of the Chase's nodded before electricity started to trace a hand of each Alakazam. He had timed it so that it would be too late for the Noctowl to pull back and all of the Psi Pokemon threw a punch at the bird, though only one actually hit it, just as the Owl fazed through another clone. Luckily for the Noctowl that Alakazams weren't known to be physically strong, or else that super effective attack would've ended the battle right then and there. |

The officer could barely contain his anger. Aaron could see it on his face. Aaron decided not to waste this opportunity, taunting the officer more. "You sure you're a real cop? you aren't like.. a renegade mall security guard? I thought the police academy was better training than this." The youth smirked as he insulted the authority, though he doubted the man would be able to see him well enough through the darkness to make it out. "Marowak! Iron Head!" The Marowak was about as furious as his owner, he was just waiting for another attack order. Instantly, the bone keeper pokemon shot forward, leading with his skull, and crashed into Strummer, who had been foaming from Aaron insult. The crab fell backwards, dropping the Marowak's club in the process, which the ground pokemon hurriedly scrambled to pick up. "Bone Rush!" Picking up the bone had given the crab time to get back on his feet though. By the time the Marowak has recovered his weapon and begun brandishing it at his foe, Strummer was ready for his next move. "Agility, dodge!" Taking a second to concentrate, the mammoth crab greatly increased his speed. Strummer zipped out of the way a moment before the Marowak's flurry of blows begun, taking a position behind his opponent. "Now Slam'em." Aaron added. Thanks to that Reflect, things were going really well. Strummer had only taken half the damage he normally would have, which meant that, even though the Marowak was an evolved pokemon, his Krabby was holding his own. Strummer swung his massive claw at the ground-types back. It wasn't too hard of a blow, but combined with the Marowak's already, forward momentum, it sent the Bone Keeper Pokemon rolling end over end. Aaron and his pokemon both laughed, this battle was pretty funny, so far. Edited by RedHero, Nov 28 2011, 10:46 PM.

Although the Noctowl had survived the ThunderPunch and, in quick retaliation, managed to get a Peck in on another clone of the opposing Alakazam, the female officer knew that things weren't looking so great. At this rate, she would have to do something she'd never needed to do before: call for backup. The woman, however, was a fairly proud and independent person; she only tolerated working with her male counterpart because orders were orders. As she contemplated whether or not she should get help on handling the situation, the Alakazam fired a Psybeam to distract her Noctowl while also setting up an unnoticed Future Sight. That was it; she needed backup, and fast. "Noctowl," the woman shouted as her Owl Pokemon narrowly dodged the psychic attack, "Uproar!" The Pokemon cast her a swift glance, recalling the lesson about the purpose for ever using that attack, before it started screeching louder and louder as if it was trying to get someone's attention. Yuki scowled at the unruly ruckus the bird was making before glancing behind him expectantly. After years of working for criminal organizations, he knew to suspect every action of the authorities to have second purposes. Making so much noise would certainly alert every fool on the block and next to it. "We're leaving," the Umbran announced to his Alakazam before it Teleported to his side. Before the Pokemon could Teleport them away from the scene, Yuki nodded in Aaron's direction. "We'll be taking him along with us." With that said, the Psi Pokemon Teleported itself as well as Yuki closer to Aaron. While Chase awaited for the signal to Teleport the group out of there, Yuki turned to Aaron just as the Future Sight took effect and silenced the bird. "Coming or staying?" The moment Aaron gave his answer, Chase would use Teleport. |

Aaron was still chuckling at his opponent when the voice came from behind him. Caught off guard he spun to face the stranger. His mind raced trying to make sense of the change in situation. Aaron recognized the voice as the man who'd been helping him throughout the battle, though he hadn't quite put together how he'd managed to get near him so quickly. Before he had time to question that though, he remembered the boys question. "Uhh," He furrowed his brow, unsure of the boys plan exactly. Quickly grabbing his pokeball and recalling his pokemon as the Marowak readied himself for the next attack, the Ground type swung his bone through the air, striking nothing. Aaron turned back towards his ally. "Ready." he said quickly, uncertain of what he was claiming to be ready for. "Marowak, Bonemerang!" Ordered the policeman, shoving his finger in the direction of the two trainers. He'd been facing Aaron and Yuki the entire time, and knew exactly how the youth got so close to Aaron so quickly. The officer's main goal was to stop the criminals before they escaped, especially with backup on the way. The Marowak understood too. Tossing his weapon at the group only moments before they Teleported away. The bone flew through the air, It's target having vanished, hit harmlessly against the wall. As soon as Aaron gave the affirmative, Chase enveloped him in the same psychic energy before the three were Teleported away. They ended up in a park, specifically Brevis Park, which was far from all the commotion. Now that the group was save, Yuki rolled his shoulders and patted the Alakazam on the shoulder in gratitude. It was dark in the park, save for the lampposts set out across the established pathways, so visibility was just as good, if not slightly better, as before. The Umbran slowly turned around, 360 degrees, to take in his surroundings before stopping and facing the would-be criminal he had just assisted. A quick glance left the impression that his companion was just an average troublemaker. A closer look would show that he was a troublemaker Trainer. As Yuki took in the other with a critical eye, the Umbran tilted his head slightly. Now that he had successfully spited the authorities by assisting this guy, what was Yuki supposed to do? |

It being the first time Aaron had ever teleported, he was, understandably, feeling a bit uncomfortable at the finish. As soon as the group appeared, Aaron rested his hands on his knees, doubled over. He hadn't been sure what to expect, and that was definitely an unusual experience. Realizing he now had no idea where he was, and if he was safe, he pushed his nausea, abruptly stood back up straight and scanned the area. It looked pretty safe. It was just a park, after all. "Thanks, bud." He offered to the kid. "Not many people would help out a total stranger, 'specially not one being attacked by some cops.." His statement brought up alarms in his head. Why had this guy helped him? Aaron wasn't too quick to trust most, but the assistance had definitely earned him a thank you. "I'm Aaron." The man said, offering his hand for a shake and masking his worries with his usual smirk. Edited by RedHero, Nov 27 2011, 04:46 PM.

Yuki glanced down at the offered hand before glancing up at the man that introduced himself as Aaron. As usual, the teen chose to ignore the proffered handshake; instead he flicked back his hood and nodded at the man. "Don't mention it, seriously," the Umbran replied as he waved the matter off. He then paused a moment, seeming to recall something as he took another look around. "Most people respect the authorities." Yuki added offhandedly, as if answering the question as to why he had helped Aaron; the boy was rather confident in his reasoning to assist. "Planning to do anything else reckless?" Yuki inquired, almost conversationally. "If not, then good, because I won't save you twice." Another pause, before the teen turned to his Alakazam just as the Psi Pokemon glanced up at him expectantly. "I've places to be, Pokemon to catch." |

Aaron lowered his hand, mentally shrugging of the Teens refusal of the shake. He wasn't one for formalities either, he supposed handshakes really were fairly stupid customs. He grinned at the youth's mocking question. "No plans. When I decide to do something reckless, I don't usually plan it out first. 'Sides, you can call that last incident a result of some bad influence." Aaron joked. "I guess. It's not like those cops were really that much bother, though. Sorta used to getting chased." He added with a shrug, remembering the countless times he'd had to evade his fathers security teams. "In any case, thanks for the bail." Aaron looked again at his surroundings. He wasn't exactly sure what to do with the rest of the night. "Good luck with those pokemon, hope they're tough enough for ya" Aaron waved a hand as he turned away. He stood there for a moment, still not exactly sure which way to head to get back to Starling City. Slowly he began to saunter off. Edited by RedHero, Nov 27 2011, 05:52 PM.

Yuki nodded as Aaron talked, though he was only partly listening. When the other admitted to not having any plans, the teen found himself starting to turn away as well, more facing the Alakazam, and was about to give the command to Teleport when he paused. Holding up a hand to his Pokemon in a gesture to wait, the boy then looked back over at Aaron just as the other started to wander off. Yuki frowned softly, an idea kind of forming in his mind, when he abruptly called out to the other. "Aaron," He started before pausing as if confused as to why he had even spoken the other's name. The pause was brief as the youth tried to gather his thoughts for a moment. "Up for another bad influence incident, or are you all reckless out?" At the question, his Alakazam glanced up at him with suspicion which Yuki noticed; naturally the teen ignored his Pokemon's look. "Might benefit both of us." |

Aaron turned back around at the mention of his name. He was also reminded that he hadn't got the youth's name before he's begun to leave. Smirking, he responded, "I'm always up for a good time." This kid had already proven to be good in a battle, it couldn't hurt to see what other fun he might get into. "What d'you have in mind?" Aaron took a step back towards the kid, mentally preparing himself in case the group was going to have to teleport again soon. (( ))

The teen allowed himself to turn completely to face Aaron now that the latter had replied, and Yuki even allowed himself a ghost of a smirk at the affirmative response. As Aaron dared to return to Yuki's side, the Umbran glanced back over to his Alakazam in silent request to be prepared. "I was thinking of doing a bit of pouching in the national park back in Silex." The teen shrugged as his idea took a clearer shape as he explained himself further. "Bound to be a good amount of trouble to start." Yuki eyed his temporary partner for a moment before looking up at the moonless sky. "Daytime would probably invite the most action." |

Aaron was nearly apprehensive. The National Park was one of the few things he was a fan of. Not that he really cared much about nature, but they certainly had some admirable intentions. Still, catching a few pokemon couldn't hurt much. "I'm in. Always lookin' for some trouble." Thinking for a moment, he added. "There anything we're actually after exactly? Err... and the hell is your name? Or should I just call you kid?" |
