W- Where am I? What happened?

Almighty Master of You All
A small groan came from George, followed by a weak cough. The blanket which covered him lifted one corner as though looking towards him before curling tighter around him.

Coral suddenly appeared on his chest, stopping any attempt that had been going through his mind about getting up. He groaned again, coughing some more before shoving the bird off of him. The fact that she still seemed only happy about being tossed aside didn't surprise him in the slightest, but that Figaro was still 'cuddling' him did make him a little confused.

"What happened..?" he asked in a growled voice, it not having been used in a long while, clearly.

Coral quickly started chirping all three heads at once with very little regard for the fact that not only could he not understand her, but that no one could at this point with the overlap of the words.

"You've been out a long time. Rest." Figaro wrote on its usual etch-a-sketch, George feeling the lack of the blanket over him very quickly, though the warmth soon replenished itself as Ra flopped onto his legs, allowing him to sit up. He smiled a thanks to his pokémon and attempted to sit up in order to work out exactly what was going up, only to find his arms giving out on him, too weak from not being used.

A loud yelp pierced the area, echoing around, making Coral and Ra visibly wince. George found that when his arms caved in he didn't hit the stone underneath once more, but have something very cold hit his back in an attempt to help him stay upright. The moment it had pushed him into a sitting position, no longer in danger of falling back to the ground it withdrew, though the icy cold feeling as though it remained on the draconic mans back for long to come.

The culprit of the cold shock let itself be known, a Woobat grinning at him, though its coat not only a pure white colour but quite clearly icy cold too. From the look of it one might think it were sharp icicles sticking out from the body, but George had felt it soft as snow, it was only the sheer cold and his lack of ability to do anything about it that caused him the pain and shock.

He sat for a moment, attempting to regain some sort of composure. Ra seemed to turn up the temperature within his body, staying laying across his legs, head buried into Georges stomach to help keep the man warm after the cold shock. Coral grinned on seeing the Woobat, quickly running over towards the fellow flying type, the two starting to play about, leaving George with the two more sensible pokémon of his team.

"What is that..?" George asked slowly, his voice starting to come back to him through sheer force of will and use. "And... Where am I? What happened?" he asked, looking to Figaro in sheer confusion.

Figaro and Ra seemed to share a look with each other despite one not having eyes.

"We'll start from the beginning..." Figaro wrote in the slow text of someone getting ready for a long story. This only seemed to be confirmed by the fact that within a few moments Figaro had shifted from the normal handheld size of the toy to one the size of a classroom blackboard. George couldn't help but look incredulously at the pair, but Figaro carried on regardless.

"You met up with Pestilice, one of the Quintet who had us all quivering in fear while you attempted to explain yourself. It didn't work, you couldn't argue with the supreme logic of one with so much power who deserved so much worship and you received the first of your warnings.

"It took seconds before you became ill, so much so that you fell from consciousness and refused to awaken despite all three of our best efforts. It was my idea to bring you here to keep you hidden from public view-"

"Where is here?" George asked as he read up to that point, frowning. Suddenly he was quite glad to be able to read fast enough to keep up with the writing so he wouldn't completely take Figaro from any trains of thought.

"Atop Mt Stella. We found a small cave up here where no humans had tread in years, it seemed like the best place. I've seen the way they look at us. Like we're disgusting freaks to be feared. I'll show them reason to fear myself if I-"

"And what of the icy furball?" George cut Figaro off from its rant before he wouldn't get any chance to get the pokémon back on track.

"When we came up here, the cave was deserted. We did what we could to keep everyone comfortable. Turned out a good thing we worked for comfort, since we've been here a while-"

"How long?" George asked, frowning suspiciously. He didn't feel all that different to realise his age. Then again he hadn't been himself in his newer form to know how his body reacted to time passing either. How much did his hair grow? His claws? The scales which shed so similarly to his skin?

"A season, maybe more?"

George froze, frowning and looking away. A season? That was a good few months at least and he'd just slept through it? Whatever illness it was the Pestilice had put him under must have been horrific for his body to have failed in such a way. Something in the back of his mind told him it was probably a good thing he slept through it to avoid the agony, but it didn't much help his current state of mind. No wonder he was so confused.

"We looked after you. Made sure you got everything all the time. Ra's been lots of help keeping you warm as the snows hit, but this cold season hasn't been as cold as others I've known. We've been lucky. Only seen one human too. That one with the Growlithe and the black jacket. Think I heard him called Yuki. Took Ra to stop me killing him on sight as I'd wanted, but we got rid of him either way. Not seen him since.

"Just even through the mild cold season, there was one blast of snow. That little furball as you called it turned up in the middle of it, and Coral took a quick liking to her. Got her off our chests either way, so let her stay. Likes to call herself Flurry, and seems to want to stick around."

"It has a name?" he groaned, looking over to where 'Flurry' and Coral were playing. The two seemed indeed very happy, and there did have to be something said about anyone capable of entertaining Coral enough for everyone else to have a break.

"At least she can fly to not be crowding up your flight so much, though we've never seen her go at any kind of real speed..." Figaro seemed to attempt to reason with what little space there was at the bottom of the now rather crowded screen of words.

George sighed, rereading a few of the bits to try and work out what was going on, before seeing that realisticly he didn't have much choice. She seemed to have already made her mind up by the fact she'd tried to help him up before, the fading sensation on his back still barely there. It hadn't been pleasant.

He paused, frowning for a moment before looking back to the snowy Woobat.

"Flurry..?" he called to her, getting the Bat Pokémons full attention in a moment. She quickly fluttered over, a grin on her face.

"Are you going to behave yourself? And stop making me so cold?" he asked, her looking mock sheepish as though she didn't realise that he was serious about the cold thing before nodding furiously.

George looked to the others who by now all had a look on him. Even Figaro had transformed into a plushie with beaded eyes staring at him, all waiting to hear his reaction.

"Well..." he looked around once more before seeing the pleading eyes of the Woobat locking with his once more before he sighed, a very small smile forming on his face. "Welcome to the group I guess..." he mused.

It took almost negative amounts of time before Flurry and Coral had tackled him sideways back to the ground, one wing ending up awkwardly crushed under him. The pain from that mixing with the naturally icy temperature of the snow covered Woobat causing him to yelp in pain, but it seemed completely drowned out by the cries of joy from the flying types.

It took a little longer than anyone was expecting for George to be ready to leave the mountaintop cave, him needing to shake off the fatigue that lying dormant in a coma leaves you with, plus healing from the awkward landing on his wing. The moment he felt ready though, it was quite obvious. Coral ended up able to just about fit on Flurry to a ride in order to help alleviate George not only of the extra weight but of the earache he normally had to suffer, leaving only the oversized bug (who seemed to have grown even still in his time out) to rest on his back.

George moved to the edge of the cave, looking out to Aerei below. Figaro returned to the usual leather jacket, though now it seeming to have added an extra layer of warmth in there for him.

"I'm back... Here I come Aerei." he purred, before diving off of the mountaintop, keeping his wings tucked in for a moment in order to feel the wind flowing over him for a moment before he let his wings loose once more, silently vowing never to do that again when he wasn't used to flying before he went back to simply flying around once more, though slowing down from his usual just enough to make sure Flurry was able to keep up.

No point in having someone to keep Coral off your back if they can't keep up.
