"Oh, a doughnut... That looks tasty," Lisa mumbled, her eyes drawn towards the round snack that was glazed over in white and covered in sprinkles. Crunchy also looked that way, but he tugged on Lisa's pants to tell her to move on. Lisa wondered why policemen liked to eat doughnuts with coffee so much, she was completely contented with just the sugary delight. No need to add bitterness to the meal. Suddenly she heard a "Hey" and jumped up, startled. The policeman in front of her pointed his doughnut at her. Crunchy pulled harder on her pants and she turned to run away. Lisa picked up Crunchy on the way so that he wouldn't be left behind. She tried not to pay attention, but she hears the policeman behind her shouting, "Wait, I just need to talk to you. There's this missing girl and you look just like her!" Well, Lisa probably gave herself away anyway by running. Is she going to get in trouble by running away from the law? Oh no, she can't be in prison and be a coordinator at the same time. Oh no oh no... Lisa's thoughts tumbled about in a swirl of chaos as her own legs began to trip over each other. She turned into a small patch of bushes and fell into it ungracefully, falling right onto her face as her legs soon followed her body through the bush and out of sight. Lisa turned to Crunchy, but he shook his head without making the leaves shake, telling her not to move or speak. The sound of heavy footsteps passed through, and she could hear the policeman mumbling through a radio. Another high pitch sound, the sound of a taillow, followed quickly after. Maybe that was the policeman's pokemon... "I think I found her, yeah. The missing girl. Send some people to search for her. Poor parents, teens these days." The last remarks left welts across Lisa's confidence. It was true that she was worrying her parents, but... She just wanted to fulfill her dream. Did it mean anything, though, if she was hurting other people in the process? Lisa squeezed Crunchy in confusion, and he looked at her with a small hint of concern. Lisa then shifted her position in the bush, shaking them so that the leaves fell to the ground and some people stared at it. "That's better," Lisa sighed, settling herself into a sitting position. Crunchy shook his head and motioned to leave right now. Lisa felt safe in this small shelter, though, it shielded her from those scary policemen. But Crunchy was right, she should leave. She poked her head through the bush, startling a meowth that scrambled away quickly. The police were no where in sight, so she quickly came out, dusted herself off from the leaves, and followed Crunchy who was already walking down the road. He seemed more cautious than usual, his snout was in the air and his eyes were sharpened for any disturbances. All seemed fine for a block, but Crunchy suddenly snapped his head towards Lisa after a while and she looked around, wondering what he had sensed. Crunchy growled and blasted a water gun above her head, Lisa ducking in a panic. Then she heard a cry, "Tay! Taillow!" The taillow easily dodged the water gun and dove at Lisa, swooping over her head as she tried to bat it away. "Crunchy, do something! Uh, scratch!" Lisa yelped. Crunchy obliged, but he had trouble landing a hit with the taillow skillfully dodging his moves, and Lisa huddling below trying not to get hit with an attack. Lisa was filled with dread of the possibility of getting sent home, and even worse, loosing her first pokemon. Her parents would never allow her to keep Crunchy after she ran away. She tried to think of a way to help Crunchy attack, but this was her first battle ever, if this was even considered one, and being attacked didn't help at all. The most she could do was trying to avoid being attacked while Crunchy continued to miss his attacks. |

((Hope you don't mind, but I'd like to jump in on this. It could be fun.)) "Thunder Wave." Suddenly a weak bolt of blue electricity shot out towards the Taillow, though whether or not it struck was to be ignored by the male that gave the order. As it was, a Magnemite and its eighteen-year-old trainer, Jayden, were approaching to the scene. While the Magnet Pokemon went to Crunchy's aid, Jayden chose to check on Lisa. "Are you all right?" His brown eyes, so dark that they were often mistaken for black, seemed to glare at Lisa, though his voice was soft, almost a whisper. The boy wore his usual sleeveless white tee, a jeans jacket with the sleeves torn off so that the edges were frayed, fingerless black gloves that were turning dark grey, fading jeans that were torn at the knees, and his worn out, dirty hiking boots. His hair was onyx black and outlined the sharp features of his face. Given that he was traveling with a Magnemite, it was obvious that he traveled with Pokemon, and his trainer belt would then be noticed to have six Poke Balls resting on it. On his shoulder was an Aipom, a Pokemon that rarely, if ever, traveled in its Poke Ball. The Long Tail Pokemon, if noticed, would wave its tail in a greeting while grinning curiously at the girl. |

((No problem at all :3)) Lisa felt a thump and a sudden weight on her head, so she bent over to clutch her head in pain when she instead found her hand grasping a small body of feathers. She held onto the body and lowered it in front of her to see the taillow, it's eyes glaring at her with much hatred. She almost dropped the taillow in fright of it's icy stare. The static of the attack vibrated through the body and paralyzed it completely. Apparently it was so busy evading Crunchy's attacks and trying to place it's own attacks on Lisa that it didn't notice the magnemite sending an attack towards it. Crunchy breathed heavily from exerting himself, but he still eyed the other trainer coolly and cautiously. He looked at the magnemite for a moment, but he decided that he rather keep an eye on his trainer in case anything happens again. "Uh, yeah, thanks," Lisa panted. Although she felt a lot safer than when the taillow was attacking her, she still knew that the police were on her trail and she looked around uneasily. She then noticed the aipom on the trainer's shoulder and stared at it for a while, wondering if it was just swinging it's tail around, or if it was actually waving. "Toto..." Crunchy growled as he motioned for Lisa to move again. Lisa was wrong to choose to go to a town close to her home, but she didn't think that the news of her going missing would spread that fast. "Uh, I think I have to get going now-” Lisa started, but Crunchy suddenly jumped in front of her and growled towards the sound of police cars. At the sound of them wailing, Lisa looked around wondering where to go. She then remembered the trainer was still here and quickly asked him, "I'm not a criminal or anything but is there anywhere we could hide?" Crunchy pulled on Lisa's pant leg for them to run, even though he knew that they had a very small chance to outrun police cars. |

Jayden blinked in surprise, clearly not understanding what the girl before him was talking about. Granted, he did hear the sirens of police cars, but it didn't occur to him that the trainer before him was on the run. If anything, instinct told him to take shelter somewhere, for it wasn't unusual for police to go after him. At least, in his hometown it wasn't unusual. "I didn't..." The Wanderer trailed off as his Aipom patted his shoulder for attention. "Ai..." He tried again, only this time he was cut off when the Long Tail Pokemon called out to the Magnemite that was now hovering around proudly. The next thing he knew, both Pokemon were heading off down an alleyway without him. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that his Pokemon wanted him to follow. Again. "This way, I guess." Jayden replied, sounding a bit defeated, and gestured for the girl to follow before running after his Pokemon. "Now where are you two going?" The teen demanded, though he hardly raised his voice enough to be heard by anyone besides Lisa and Crunchy. On the other side of the alleyway, Jayden spotted his Aipom and Magnemite waiting impatiently for him. Glancing over his shoulder to see if the girl was following, Jayden muttered, "Sorry about this," and ran to catch up to his Pokemon. At this point in time, he was pretty sure that he could hear the sirens screech even louder and even hear policemen shout at someone to freeze. If he didn't know any better, then he would have thought that he was back at home running from corrupted "justice". |

Lisa looked after the trainer as he chased after his pokemon, and she was about to follow when the police cars had turned around the corner and stopped right in front of her. Crunchy's growl turned into a snarl, Lisa never saw him so angry. She trembled in front of the cops, not knowing if she should still try to run away. The police did say "Freeze", though, but... The taillow squawked weakly in Lisa's hands, as if ordering the police to take her in. Lisa shook her head. She didn't want to go home, she just started her journey, and it wasn't just going to end this way, right? "Alright, calm down, Missy. You just look awfully like the missing girl that has been reported not too long ago. If you would be kind enough to come in so that we could question you... Well, if you are the girl then we'll just take you to your parents," the policeman spoke to her almost in a soothing way, not harshly at all. Maybe Lisa should just listen to him and... Crunchy shook his head and squirted a well aimed water gun right into the officer's face. The policeman's voice was muffled as he cried in surprise, and Crunchy took the opportunity to grab onto Lisa's pants and tug especially hard. Lisa finally got the message and ran towards the direction where the other trainer ran. Running from the police... Has she turned into a criminal? She certainly hoped not. Lisa grabbed Crunchy into her hands so he wouldn't be left behind. Now she was holding two pokemon in her hands, and she was tiring quickly. She could hear the slam of the car door and the sirens going off again. Were the sirens really necessary? Lisa didn't have much time to think though. Maybe she'll find a place to hide in again. |

"Hey, over here!" Jayden called out as he spotted Lisa holding the Totodile and Taillow. At that point, his Aipom was riding the Magnemite and gesturing for Lisa to pick up the pace with its arms while pointing to the trees with its tail. "Let me help, I'll carry one of them if you need me to." The offer was a sincere one despite his understanding that the police were after the girl. It was just his luck, as it usually was, to run into some sort of trouble while in a city or village. This sort of luck was the reason why he tended to avoid gathering places for people, though it seemed as if he never had a choice to visit the places because of his Aipom. Now that he was near the trees, the Wanderer suddenly understood where it was that his Pokemon wanted to go. Beyond the trees was a thicket that separated the town from its park. Somewhere within that thicket was where he set up camp, for it was an isolated area that few, if any, people dared attempt to maneuver through. If Lisa's luck was better than Jayden's, then perhaps the boy and his Pokemon would be able to lead her into the safety of the tightly strewn greenery without detection. Whether or not Lisa let Jayden take hold of any of the two Pokemon she carried, the Wanderer would usher her towards a well-hidden entrance that would potentially led them to camp. |

Lisa almost heaved a sigh of relief when she saw the other trainer, but her heavy panting had prevented her from doing so. Crunchy had gripped her arm with his claws while her other hand was busy trying to carry the small weight of the injured flying pokemon. Lisa quickly decided that it would be best if the other trainer held Crunchy, for her arms were getting tired and he would probably run faster than she would. Crunchy had a feeling she would choose to carry the taillow instead of him, but he still had a small frown at the thought of being carried by a stranger. Then again, the stranger is their only means of help right now. "Thanks! Can you-" Lisa didn't have to say anything else, for Crunchy had jumped from her arm onto the other trainer's arm. He turned to look after Lisa and silently encouraged her to run faster. Lisa suddenly felt her speed growing, only having to hold onto the very light taillow. It seemed to growl in her grasp, and Lisa almost felt bad for it, but she couldn't just let it go right now. He was still badly paralyzed and only squirmed weakly in her grasp. The police siren wailed in her ears and made them hurt. If only she had been stronger, or at least made better decisions, then this wouldn't of had happened. |

With Crunchy now in his arms, Jayden motioned with his head to follow the Magnemite and Aipom. As it was, the Aipom was already parting the clever camouflage for the two trainers to dive into. Jayden, as if by instinct, encouraged for Lisa to go in before him. "Just follow Aran, the Magnemite; he'll guide you." Upon saying this, the Magnemite ducked inside and patiently waited for the girl to enter after it before showing the way to camp. It would hardly be a couple seconds after Lisa entered that a small troupe of police officers would burst through the alleyway and spot Jayden. "You! Have you seen a girl this high with blue eyes, long black hair?" One of the officers demanded as he made gestures to emphasize his inquiries. Luckily Jayden was standing in front of the entrance so Ai could cover it back up. All Jayden could hope, however, was that the Totodile in his arms wouldn't go ballistic on the officers. The last thing he wanted was for the law enforcers to suddenly realize that he was associating with the runaway. "I might have... at the Pokemon Center, I think?" The Wanderer replied slowly, scowling fiercely at the officers which made them back away quickly. "Problem?" He questioned, though it was clear that the officers were starting to lose interest in talking with him. |

Lisa's arms prickled when she heard the police officers behind her. She looked after the magnemite wondering what to do next, but it just continued forward when she got near it. The taillow gave a soft cry and Lisa quickly tumbled after the magnemite, hoping the officers didn't hear him. It seemed as though they were going to make it without Lisa getting caught, until she felt her foot bump into something soft jutting from the ground. She yelped loudly as she tripped onto the ground, her hands outstretched so she wouldn't crush the taillow. Only when she looked up with dirt falling from her eyelashes did she realize that she had tripped on a rattata, who was making a noise not unlike her own when she fell. In surprise it had panicked and started to run away back through the way the entrance. Meanwhile, Crunchy seemed to be glaring at nothing in particular. He was not surprised when he heard his trainer's shriek behind him. When the rattata burst through the entrance, though, his eyes widened slightly. Now did the sound belong to his trainer, or did it belong to the rattata? The rattata quickly scurried around the feet of the policemen, startling them as they started to hop from one foot to the other, not quite understanding what was going on. It still emitted the high pitch cry as it tried to dodge the officer's dancing feet. Lisa got up groggily and wondered with fear if she had blew the whole escape. If that was the case, she didn't know what they would do. |

Jayden, in his attempt to think fast, shifted Crunchy so that the Pokemon was being held by one arm. Like this, he was able to point at the Rattata and shouted, "You got it out, Aipom! Quick, show it who's boss before it escapes again!" The Wanderer hoped he sounded convincing, because he was less than confident that anyone was going to fall for such an obvious trick. "What's going on!?" The lead officer cried out as he tripped over himself and landed hard on his back. "Why're you after that thing?" He added just as the Rattata leapt onto his stomach and scrambled over his face. Because of the Mouse's sharp claws, the man couldn't stop himself from crying out in pained alarm. Just as the Rattata finally jumped off, Jayden's Aipom landed heavily onto his stomach and knocked the wind out of him. "I thought I heard someone scream!" Another officer, this one female, shrieked as her hands fumbled with her trainer belt in her attempt to call out a Pokemon. Miraculously though, another officer replied that the alarmed cries of the Rattata was all he could hear. Finally the Mouse escaped back into the trees, though Ai refused to follow it. Instead, the Aipom glanced up uncertainly at Jayden. The Wanderer, not thinking about what he was saying or doing at this point, let out a furious curse. "Gone again!" He grumbled before turning his attention to the group of officers before him. "Do you people mind?" He inquired sharply as he gestured in the direction that the purple Pokemon disappeared. "Or is it a habit of yours to bother trainers when they're busy like this?" While Jayden continued to keep the people focused on him, Aran the Magnemite hovered closer to Lisa and blinked in concern. Not much time would be wasted, however, for the Pokemon would then urge for her to continue moving forward. In only a few steps, she would then find herself in a small clearing where a little campsite was set up. The camp was rather simple, really. There was a half tent shelter, a lone backpack sitting just outside of the tent, and piles of leaves scattered throughout the campsite. The piles, however, looked to be more like nests, and in one of those nests happened to be a little Skitty that was taking a nap. The Magnemite, upon spotting the Kitten, would then buzz around the sleeping Pokemon for a moment before settling down beside it in the nest. |

Crunchy grumbled softly to himself while he was shifted to the other arm. This was being more troublesome than it should be, but then again, he should be used to it now. He just hoped his trainer was alright. "Ah, I'm okay," Lisa whispered to the magnemite, grateful for his concern. Lisa checked her sore knees and sighed at the sight of them. Small bruises started to form around the damaged skin, and the dirt probably shouldn't be in the cuts either. Luckily, she thought while she continued to follow the magnemite, she had antiseptic and a good handful of band-aids in her bag. Arriving at the camp without further incident, she couldn't help but to study it. It was simple, but it had an air of comfort that made her feel at ease, and seeing the resting pokemon also helped calm her nerves. Lisa then sat down next to the magnemite and placed the flying pokemon in her lap. She then rummaged around her bag noisily for the medicine. "Hey, do you live here?" she asked the magnemite. She would talk like this to Crunchy, who was her best listener. Thinking about him made her a little anxious. If she was caught, she wouldn't have Crunchy by her side anymore, right? So running away is the only way... But if that was the case, why did she feel so bad about it? The taillow eyed her and slowly moved itself to a standing position. Lisa's hands finally grasped the bottle of ointment, so she squeezed a bit on her knees and sucked her breath when it stung. She hoped the other trainer would get here soon. First, she has to know that he, his aipom, and Crunchy are alright. Second, she has to thank him for helping her. Without him she would had definitely of had gotten taken in to her parents. Done with applying the medicine, Lisa got the band-aids onto her knees and sat back to wait. |

It was only a few moments after Jayden's irritated outbursts that the officers decided to follow their "lead" about Lisa being at the Pokemon Center. If the group was lucky, then perhaps the nurse there would know where the runaway girl was heading next. With hasty apologies and farewells, the police officers attempted to wear confident expressions as they slowly walked away. If they moved any faster, then it would have been like they were running away from one guy, and that would have been embarrassing. After waiting for what felt like a lifetime, Jayden finally let out a sigh of relief that the officers actually left. He didn't realize it, but he was actually more intimidating when he was panicked. Once sure that the police were really gone, the Wanderer turned back around and let Crunchy down. "Through there, and we'll be back with your trainer." With that said, the teen revealed the entrance and motioned for the two Pokemon to go before him. Naturally Ai decided he'd lead the group and scampered through first which, despite himself, brought a tight smile to Jayden's face. As soon as the Totodile waddled through, Jayden would then take furtive glances around before slipping inside and fixing the leaves that hid the hole. During the time the three would make to reach the camp, Aran would lift into the air to float around Lisa, pleased to note that the girl was talking to it. As a gentleman, the Magnemite found it was its duty to reply, and so the Pokemon bobbed up and down in response to the girl's question. It was a lovely camp, though a temporary one, and the Magnet Pokemon was proud to take residence there. Not quite realizing that only the Taillow would understand, Aran continued to explain how it traveled with five other Pokemon and their trainer that wasn't a trainer. Jayden was, according to the Magnet, a real gentleman at heart that disliked violence. Granted, it amended, the youth often found himself in some sort of quarrel, but that was all part of life. By the time the Magnemite started rambling about what made its trainer such a gentleman, Lisa would have finished applying band-aids on her knees. "You're pretty lively, Aran." Jayden would comment as he and the two Pokemon with him would arrive. "You didn't offer any bedding for her?" At that, Aran's eye would widen and then blink a few times. Bedding! A real gentleman would have offered a comfortable place to rest, and the Magnemite would try to apologize to Lisa and the Taillow for failing to do so. While apologizing, the Pokemon would then zoom over to a larger nest and bob about it as a gesture of offering. |

Crunchy gave a "hmph" and folded his arms before walking through the entrance. Of course he was thankful, but he didn't know how to exactly express it. It was probably best to just get to Lisa as soon as possible so that she doesn't get into more trouble. At the camp, the taillow huffed at the magnemite. The girl wouldn't understand a thing he said, but the taillow still felt a little curious to the life of a wandering trainer. Sure, the magnemite explained that his human friend was not exactly a trainer, but it was still a traveling human companion, one that he had never been with before. The police officer wasn't the taillow's trainer either. The taillow hasn't actually battled, but it had heard stories of trainers who battled to become strong. The taillow only befriended the officer because of a few crumbs of snacks thrown to it. Food does wonders on the hungry soul. Ah, the taillow wished so badly to be free of this clumsy girl and to send her to the police immediately, or at the very least bring the police to her. Being paralyzed, though, the only thing he could do now was to keep an eye on her so that she didn't get any funny ideas. Lisa noticed the magnemite proudly bobbing around her and didn't really know what to think of it. Maybe it was just showing off it's shiny body. "That's nice," Lisa complimented hesitantly, hoping her thoughts were right. Lisa then looked at the taillow and leaned back a little, still not used to it's glare. "Um, are you alright? Do you need to be healed? Er... was it a potion you needed?" Lisa started to rummage around her bag to find if she had any potions when the aipom appeared into the camp. Crunchy followed soon after and Lisa couldn't help but to welcome him, "Crunchy! You're okay!" Crunchy harrumphed, as if to say that of course he's okay. When the trainer appeared she remembered she had to say something, but she had forgotten what it was. Lisa scratched her head, she must had been so happy to see Crunchy that it had slipped from her mind. Oh well... When the magnemite, or Aran, as the trainer had called him, had offered a small pile of leaves to sit upon, Lisa just replied, "Oh, that's alright, but thanks..." Thanks... that rang a bell, "Oh right! Thanks for helping me. Uh, I really appreciate it, I don't know what I would do if the police had caught me." Lisa played with her fingers, embarrassed that she had forgotten something so small. Crunchy ignored her and went straight for the bag, taking out a small bag of crackers. He immediately opened it up and started to eat. Lisa looked at him and then scolded him quickly, "Crunchy! You have to share." Crunchy stopped eating for a moment, as if to think, and then offered the bag to Lisa. Lisa gladly took some crackers and ate them, realizing that she was kind of hungry. Crunchy was about to take another handful to stuff in his mouth before he remembered his manners and reluctantly shoved the bag towards the other trainer, offering some to him. |

((Sorry for the late reply, I've been a bit on the busy side lately. I will most likely be slow for the upcoming days as well, but that will change soon as everything settles down again.)) Ai, pleased to see that everyone was settled in nicely, eagerly ran towards Jayden's tent and used his tail to snatch up the trainer's bag. Once he had hold of the worn out backpack, the purple monkey returned to his trainer just as the boy sat down on a nest that was clearly made for something his size. "Ai...?" The teen murmured uncertainly as his Pokemon plopped right onto his lap and then beamed proudly up at him. Before the youth could say anything else, the Aipom returned its attention to the backpack and started to rummage through. At the same time as this, Lisa started to talk to the Wanderer, and the boy glanced up in surprise. "Oh... it was nothing." He felt a bit awkward with such a brush-off of a response, but there wasn't much else he thought he could say. Asking why the police were after her was bound to be a terrible mistake since the girl didn't seem like any of the law-breakers he was used to. As he continued to think on this, his features darkened into a more intimidating stare until his Aipom let out a noise of triumph. Once again caught off guard, the boy peered down only to notice Crunchy offering some crackers. With a polite decline, the boy turned down the offer and looked down to see what the Long Tail Pokemon found. Apparently the Aipom was just pleased about locating the berries that they recently picked. Aran also seemed quite excited about the find, for the Magnemite hovered over for a brief moment before bouncing about in the air. "Calm, Aran, Ai. You'll wake up Ari." As if on cue, the Skitty let out an adorable yawn before it groggily stood up and stretched. Upon noticing that his trainer was back, the Skitty let out a mewl of a greeting and hopped onto his lap just as Ai jumped off. With the Kitten now there, it curled back up and began to purr in content. Meanwhile, the Aipom approached Lisa and looked curiously to the Taillow. He inquired about what the Taillow would do if it was able to escape, and what it would do if he, Ai, helped it out of the paralysis. In case the Flying-type asked, the Aipom would smile calmly and explain that he didn't want anything ruining this moment, for it was rare that Jayden spent time with people. |

((That's totally understandable. I myself had poofed for a while too, and probably will continue to do that .3.;; )) Crunchy just shrugged and ate the rest of the bag, scarfing them quickly with little noise. The taillow stared the crumbs on the totodile's face for a while, wondering when it was the last time he had some sprinkle covered glazed doughnuts. He shook the thought off though, he can't let go of his focus. He was hear to keep an eye on the girl and take her to the police as soon as he healed of his paralysis... or if he healed. It seemed as though the girl didn't know anything about status conditions. Lisa couldn't help but to get confused over the names of the other trainer's pokemon, they all sounded too similar. There was Ai and Aran and Ari... But which was which again? And was it just her, or did they all start with the letter "a"? Hm... well, she hasn't really gotten the trainer's name yet, but she wondered if she should ask. Suddenly the aipom... was it Ari? Ai? Well, the aipom suddenly came towards her and started talking to the taillow. Lisa stared at them for a moment, trying to make out what they were saying, but she couldn't make out anything at all. Should she intervene? Should she just let them be? Is the taillow uncomfortable? Crunchy noticed Lisa having trouble deciding what to do and grunted at her. Lisa looked at him for a moment before nodding her head. Well, the best thing to do was probably to wait until they were done talking. What ever they were talking about... The taillow fluffed up his feathers the best he could to look bigger, slightly intimidated by the aipom's confrontation, but he relaxed when he saw the berries. Was the aipom going to free him from his paralysis and help him get the girl back to the police? But when the aipom asked what he would do, he got slightly suspicious. Why did the aipom want to know? The taillow responded that he would follow the law no matter what. The taillow smiled to himself, his officer friend would be proud. And it wasn't a terrible answer either, right? No one wants to break the law, unless they were law breakers... If that was the case then he should send all of these people and pokemon to the police. The taillow didn't notice that he was taking "keeping an eye on them" too literally, staring at the aipom with one glaring eye turned towards him. Noticing the taillow staring at the aipom, Lisa decided to lessen some tension by asking about the pokemon, "So uh, your skitty is cute and all, what kind of moves does it know?" Lisa unconsciously asked about the moves, curious about how they could work in a contest. |

There seemed to be somewhat of an awkward silence since neither person really seemed to know what to say to the other. This was fine for Jayden, at least, for he wasn't very big on talking much anyway, but he was quite uncertain about the girl's point of view. Was he supposed to start the conversation? Because he was so unsure of what to do, the eighteen-year-old turned his attention to Aran which was now exploring around the nearby trees. While he absently watched the Magnemite curiously inspect the perimeter, Jayden patted his Skitty's back in affection. It wasn't often that he was given the chance to just relax at camp after a day of wandering in town. Usually he was too tired to do anything but sleep, and then he would have to pack everything up to move on before anyone discovered him. As he continued to think about this, his Aipom regarded the Taillow respectfully. The law was important, Ai was sure, but that was the law humans followed. Pokemon didn't have to enforce those laws, though they weren't expected to break any either. Ai grinned confidently at the small bird as he held up the necessary berry to heal paralysis. Besides, wouldn't the human that sent it on this mission wonder where the Taillow was, or if it was okay? Where was the human, then? When Lisa started to inquire about Jayden's Skitty, the Wanderer slowly turned his attention to his female companion and took a moment to think about it. "A few, I think. I know for sure that he can Growl, Sing, and slap everyone to wake us up. He might also know a move that heals after a short period of time." If Jayden wasn't embarrassed before, then he was definitely embarrassed now, for he didn't really know much of anything about his Pokemon. Worse yet, he didn't even know what most of the attacks were called, let alone what Pokemon was able to do what. The only Pokemon on his team he was absolutely confident with was Ai, and that was only because an old man taught him some stuff about Pokemon by using the Aipom as an example. Now that Jayden thought about it, he probably should have stuck with the family business. |

((Sorry, finals held me up, but with that out of the way I can probably post a lot more often ^^)) The taillow quickly squirmed in excitement, finally he'll be rid of this girl and become free to defeat crime once again. He quickly pecked at the berry and swallowed it with a dramatic gulp. The taillow then hurriedly flapped his wings in thanks and took off towards the village. He soared through the trees with ease and was out in no time. Lisa quickly jumped from the taillow's sudden energy. Apparently it had been healed from it's paralysis. Maybe it could heal through time? Or maybe it was due to the help of the aipom? She may never know. "Huh? You're leaving now? Okay then..." Lisa stared at it for a moment until it disappeared from sight. Why did she feel as though she should've kept an eye on it? Oh, it must not of had been important, or else she would've remembered, right? At least the taillow was feeling better. Lisa then noticed that she had asked something awkward, hearing the same silence that drifted upon them. She fiddled with her fingers again, wondering if there was something better to talk about, if she should even talk. The other trainer seemed contented enough just hanging around with his Pokemon. Boredom washed over her before she remembered that she couldn't stay around forever. "Uh, do you know where the next town is? And uh, maybe the best way I can get there without getting seen?" Lisa asked. He seemed to know enough about this place to be able to get her out, or at least she thought. And at least she said something that would actually be useful, for she had gotten a nod from Crunchy, a gesture of approval that Lisa didn't seem to see very often. Crunchy stared after the direction of the village while he waited for the other trainer's response. He hoped that the taillow wouldn't start having smart ideas about leading the police over here. He couldn't fully trust it yet, although it did seem happy just to get out of Lisa's grasp. |

Now that the Taillow was gone, Ai finally returned to Jayden and grinned up at the Wanderer. "The closest town is Conifer," Jayden replied as he continued to stroke his SKitty's back. "We're pretty far from the other towns, but if you're willing to take the long way around Aerei, you could detour towards the ruins of Parum Town." As he said this, the Wanderer nodded to his Aipom before he regarded Aran, the Magnemite. It seemed as if something genuinely interesting was occupying the Electric-type, though it didn't seem to hold the Pokemon's attention long before Aran floated away. Eventually Ai returned to his side again, though this time the monkey presented Jayden a map of the region. While the youth unfolded it and set it down so that Lisa could see it too, Jayden pointed out their location and then traced the path he spoke of. "If you can find your way through the Clearwater Caves and then through the Thorny Thickets, you'll eventually find yourself at the ruins." On the map it was revealed just how large and spread out everything was on the island. For some reason looking at the wide space seemed to calm Jayden down. "Looks like it'll take a while to get anywhere from here." |

Lisa stared at the map and tried to remember the names, but she only remembered some cave and some thickets... oh, and some ruins. Even with trouble memorizing the names of her destinations, she couldn't help but to feel disheartened by the fact that it won't be easy leaving the area. She couldn't hold her disappointment in when she said, "Oh, thanks for telling us." Lisa stared at the map closely, and then tried to think. If she went by night, it would be scary, but she might be able to avoid detection with the police easier... maybe. Or maybe she should leave now before it gets dark so that she has a head start? Oh, she should just keep things easy and just lay low while leaving. She leaned back from the map and sighed, thinking, "It'll be a long time before I can become a coordinator, I wonder if my parents will catch me then..." Little did she know that she said that out loud. It was a bad habit to talk to herself ever since she had gotten Crunchy to talk to, for she is used to talking without anything else responding to her. No matter what, she'll have to do something to get out of here. "Alright then, I suppose I'll just leave now, with the light still out and all," Lisa stood up and quickly grabbed Crunchy into her arms. He grunted before settling comfortably, getting used to being held by his trainer. He couldn't relax for long though, for he felt as though they should leave right now. Lisa wondered how she should say good bye until she just stuck out her hand as an offering for a handshake. "Well, it was nice knowing you. My name is -" Before she could finish the sentence, Lisa heard a familiar cry of the taillow, and this time he seemed to have company. Lisa could hear the grunts of the policeman and the questioning voice, "Why did ya bring me into the middle of the forest? If this is some prank then I'm not giving you anymore donuts for a week." There was a defensive squawk of a reply that sounded closer now. Lisa didn't know what to do, should she leave? Should she help? Then again, she was the cause of the police coming over here. She's responsible then. "Uh uh... uh, if they find you, wouldn't you get in trouble or something? Should I help you clean up and move or something?" she spoke as hastily and as quietly as she could. Her mind buzzed questions and she mentally swatted at them, but her anxiety still showed and she was too nervous to stop her trembling. Crunchy growled to calm her down as he also tried to think of a way to avoid the taillow and policeman. |

While Lisa distractedly spoke to herself, Jayden did his best to not listen, though that was quite difficult since the camp was mostly quiet. Still, the least he could do was not pry into the girl's past, for he understood what it was like to be on the run. So, instead of bothering his temporary companion, the Wanderer carefully rolled up the map and then handed it to Ai. When Lisa suddenly announced that she had to go, Jayden merely nodded his head in acceptance. As a wanderer, it made sense to him that the girl needed to take off already; it was important to always be on the move. But when Lisa paused and held out her hand to shake, Jayden couldn't help but stare dumbly. Just when he managed to shake himself out of his stupor and reach for the hand though, it seemed trouble managed to find its way back to his camp. Scowling fiercely in irritation, the Wanderer pulled his hand back and hauled himself onto his feet. With a soft call to his team, Ari now awake since the Skitty was forced off his lap, Jayden ordered the team to clean up. "Don't worry about it," Jayden replied softly as he gestured for Lisa to walk with him. "My Pokemon and I know how to handle ourselves." That said, the youth then pulled apart another hidden entrance and motioned for the girl to take it. "It'll take you into the park so be careful when you exit in case you run into someone." Meanwhile, the camp was a whirl of activities, though the Pokemon seemed to work quietly as the leaves were carefully gathered and then buried by Ari. Ai made quick work of dissembling the half tent while Aran gathered the necessary Poke Balls for itself and the others. Finally the camp was suddenly clean and only Ai remained of Jayden's team. Now that it was just Jayden and Ai, the Wanderer easily scooped up his bag, placed the Poke Balls in their respectful slots on his belt, and then glanced over his shoulder to make sure Lisa was leaving. "Good luck with your adventure," He whispered to the Co-ordinator before he crouched and then hurried towards the entrance that he first arrived from. If luck was with him, then he would somehow distract the police and that irritating Taillow of theirs. Perhaps Ai could Swagger the stupid bird into dropping out of the sky for a while. As it was though, the most important thing he had to do was to make sure he provided Lisa enough time to escape into the park. A random thought struck him as he continued to crawl through the small tunnel towards the police: He forgot to introduce himself during all the excitement. |
