When Risa and Phoenix finally entered Brevis Village, the teen couldn't help but sigh in relief. The last thing she wanted was to be out in the wilderness at night alone with her new-found companion. It wasn't that she didn't trust Phoenix; while she still questioned his motives, she was more put off by the fact that he was male more than anything. At least in the small village, there were some other people about as well. Next to Risa, Rai yawned, revealing tiny, needle-sharp, white fangs as she did so. The Eevee stretched in a very feline manner, managing to fall behind a few steps from her trainer before darting forward to catch up with ease. "Um... So, this is Brevis Village..." Risa finally spoke up, breaking the silence that had fallen over the duo. She glanced shyly over to Phoenix, before looking back down at the ground. She raised one hand to fiddle with the necklace she always wore. It was an old nervous habit of hers; playing with either her hair or a necklace. She had always liked necklaces for some reason. While she didn't care for many other types of jewelry, necklaces were comforting to wear. "I-I'm sure we could rent two rooms to stay the night..." she suggested, looking around for any sign that hinted at a place to stay for the night. It didn't take long for her to pinpoint a relatively small, handpainted sign sporting the words "BREVIS INN." She blinked in surprise, shocked at the ease of finding a place to stay for the night. "H-how about we check there?" she suggested, pointing at the sign and glancing to Phoenix to gauge his reaction. By this time, the sun had already set, its last rays barely visible behind Mt. Stella's silhouette on the horizon. The small village had hardly any artificial light, allowing for the true beauty of the night sky to be seen. Bright stars were becoming visible overhead in the quickly darkening sky. The sight, of course, distracted Risa for a moment as she took a second to marvel at the beauty of nature. Having grown up in cities her entire life, she loved the sight of a clear night sky free from light pollution, and this was no exception. "It's so pretty..." she breathed, unaware of the fact that she was speaking out loud. |

Risa was quite conflicted about what to do. On one hand, she really should go get help, but on the other, she felt bad for Kuzumi. Her eyes betrayed her indecision as she hesitated, waiting to see what Kuzumi would do. She visibly relaxed in relief when the boy moved to hop out of the window on his own, his Umbreon following. "Rai... Come here," she called out to her Eevee, watching Kuzumi leave warily. The Pokemon's ears pricked up at her trainer's call, and she looked over her shoulder before turning back to Aeneas. She grinned, wagging her tail. Her body language seemed to say, 'We have to play again sometime!' She hopped over to Aeneas and nudged at his side playfully, casting him one last happy grin before darting toward her trainer. Risa welcomed Rai with open arms, lifting the Eevee up to her chest. She buried her face in the thick, brown fur as Kuzumi left, taking his Pokemon with him. Despite the fear she felt toward him, she found herself oddly curious of the man who could do flips off of desks as if they were nothing and would sleep in trees. She watched the window for a moment, feeling no need to go get help now that Kuzumi had left of his own accord. She moved to walk toward the window, Rai still in her arms, and closed it, careful to lock the latch on the side of it to avoid any other mishaps like that from happening. As she closed the window, she watched Kuzumi and his Umbreon leave, the Moonlight Eeveelution's yellow circles glowing in the darkness. She felt bad knowing that he and his Pokemon would be sleeping outside. Hopefully it wouldn't get too cold... From there, she moved to set Rai back on the bed, glancing at Phoenix. "Y-you should sleep..." she told him, patting the bed with her hand. She quickly turned her gaze to the Shuckle, who seemed to have fallen asleep after producing a small amount of Berry Juice in the bottle. The Mold Pokemon's head was withdrawn, and a tiny snore could be heard coming from her. She glanced to the bathroom door, realizing that she wanted a shower now more than ever before turning to look at Phoenix, waiting to see what he would do. Hopefully, there would be no more intruders in the room that night. |

((Geez, sorry, guys. I got distracted with other stuff @_@)) Phoenix was furious. Of all the good for nothings, this intruder decided to invade Risa and his room. "How the hell did he get in here? Was he here before we entered? Risa, just what the heck happened?!" He was mad, his body full of adrenaline. He was woken up abruptly by a scream and the appearance of a hobo. He wasn't going to sleep any time soon. "We need to go to the front desk and let them know this crazy guy is wandering around town breaking into rooms. He could come back later, and that definitely seems sketchy to me. Who knows what he'd do?" With that, he opened the door leading into the hallway, and waited for Risa to either tag along, or stay behind. Whatever she decided to do, he was going to make sure that smelly guy didn't bother them or anyone else again. Edited by Turnabout Phoenix, Aug 5 2012, 09:11 PM.

Kuzumi was finally up in a tree, resting on the higher branches so his Umbreon could peer up at the dazzling moon. The boy was content with his current position, as he was surprisingly comfortable despite having to keep his weight as light as possible, and a soft sigh escaped his lips. He would rest well up here despite what people would think, but the Wanderer wouldn't sleep. If the boy was to do anything, he would wait for Aeneas to fall asleep, then carefully climb down the tree with the Umbreon resting in its Poke Ball. This was the time to travel, for everything was much softer on the eyes and ears. Night was a time of silence, of predators quietly stalking prey without the worry of irritations making too much noise. This was when Kuzumi was most comfortable, for it reminded him most of home- of what his friend fondly called Paradise. The thought of home brought nostalgic memories to mind, and suddenly the youth's eyes were rich with sadness that seemed far, far beyond his years. As he continued to think on the place, the boy sniffed; he needed a bath. If he recalled, there was a park in Brevis with its own lake. Since it was late at night, the youth was pretty sure there wouldn't be very many people, if any at all there. That would be the first place Kuzumi went after Aeneas was safe in the Poke Ball. At this point, the youth looked down at his Umbreon and grinned as he watched the Pokemon stare admiringly up at the moon. "I tried to hide from you," murmured the boy in a quiet singsong tone. "But I failed. I tried to lie to you, but how I failed, and even in my darkest time, you gave me light..." Here, the youth trailed off as he grinned at Aeneas, for the Pokemon had turned to him with shining red eyes. The Pokemon certainly fit the lines, especially because of its golden yellow bands pulsing with light. The Pokemon mewled softly to him before it affectionately butted heads with him. After this, the Pokemon then curled up on his chest to fall asleep. A fond gaze appeared in the youth's eyes as he gazed down at his loving Umbreon. Yes, he was certainly comfortable so high in the tree, and more importantly, he was invisible thanks to the darkness and all the leaves. Although he wasn't expecting any company, he still wanted to make sure he wouldn't find himself with undesired company. |

As Phoenix started to speak, Risa turned to look at him with wide eyes. The teen had calmed down quite a bit, although she was still shaken from Kuzumi and Aeneas seeming to appear out of nowhere. "They... They weren't here before... Th-they climbed in through the window," she clarified for him, looking to Rai. The Eevee was laying on the bed, curled up and watching the two with with attentive eyes. When Phoenix mentioned they should go tell the lady from the front desk, Risa nodded, albeit rather reluctantly. "U-Um, Phoenix...?" she called out before he left. She would wait to be addressed by the trainer before continuing. "He... His Umbreon came in first... I saw it in here b-before he was..." She was careful with her words, hoping he wouldn't assume she was simply sympathizing with the intruder. Risa chose to stay behind when Phoenix waited for her to follow. She sighed and turned to look at Rai, obviously conflicted with what to do. "Rai... Up for an adventure...?" she asked, already regretting what she decided to do. The Eevee, of course, was more than happy to oblige. The fox's tail began to wag behind her and she hopped off of the bed, looking up with excited eyes. She was waiting for Risa to mention what they were doing. Her ears twitched in anticipation as she sat on the floor, watching intently as her trainer began rummaging through her backpack, ultimately pulling out some food she had. Risa set the food down on the desk while searching for a spare blanket. The food wasn't anything special; just some snack-type things: a fresh apple, some crackers, a granola bar, and a bottled water. Quickly, Risa noticed the spare blankets folded and neatly tucked in a closet where the complimentary towels were. She pulled one down and quickly grabbed the food, sending a quick glance to the door. Good, Phoenix wasn't back yet. The teen quickly hopped out of the window, Rai following behind closely, and she began to wander around the nighttime Brevis Village, searching for a large tree that the man and his Umbreon could have possibly chosen to sleep in. After a few moments, she found herself under a large tree, but as she looked up, the leaves obscured too much and she couldn't tell if Kuzumi had actually climbed up there to sleep. She frowned, an incredulous look on her face. There was no way a human could sleep up there... Next to her, Rai seemed intent on staring into the tree, yipping out a greeting to whatever was residing within it. While her trainer couldn't tell, the Eevee was certain that the Umbreon and his trainer were up there. Her tail twitched and she growled playfully, as if hoping to call the Pokemon down to play. Regardless, she looked around again before setting the blanket and snacks down next to the tree. "I-I'm s-sorry for P-Phoenix's actions..." she murmured, taking one last look around and up into the tree before turning to leave. "Come on, Rai..." If she went uninterrupted, she would hopefully make it back to the hotel before Phoenix did. |
