((Yeah no, I didn't know where to put this.))

"Go for it, Ezrio! Use Hydro Pump!"

Ezrio, a rather energetic little Totodile, happily complied with his trainer's order. With a look of pure excitement, the Pokemon puffed up his cheeks, and then let loose a powerful torrent of water. Unfortunately the opponent was a Volcarona and the Pokemon just barely danced out of the way, though the pressure of the torrent did trip up the Pokemon a bit.

"Silver Wind, go!" The female trainer ordered as she dramatically pointed at the Totodile. It must have been a few turns since the battle started, and already the woman was clearly confident that she was going to win. As far as everyone but Kuzumi was concerned, it certainly looked like she would win since she was up against a Pokemon that hadn't even evolved yet. "Follow that up with a Quiver Dance!"

The Bug-Flying type was quick to react, and suddenly concentrated, piercing winds were unleashed as the Pokemon swiftly flapped its wings. With the way the light shone down, the attack actually looked like it lit up to appear silver. Once that attack was completed, it went straight to work on the next instruction and started to dance as its wings literally quivered to keep up with its movements.

Kuzumi didn't even bother giving an order to his Totodile, for the Pokemon already knew enough to attempt evading the Silver Wind. Instead, he concentrated on how to slow the opponent down enough to land a hit on the Sun Pokemon. This was the first time he encountered the Unova Pokemon, so he didn't know that it was part Fire-type.

As far as he knew, the Pokemon was actually part Flying. Because of this, his main goal was to blast the Pokemon out of the air and then use Ice Fang on it. However, the martial artist was rather suspicious as to why his opponent was so determined to evade Ezrio's water attacks.

"Scary Face." The Wanderer ordered as he watched his Totodile Dragon Dance around to escape the Silver Wind. Once his Pokemon heard him, the Big Jaw crocodile paused and suddenly its expression changed as it produced a Scary Face. Surprisingly enough, the Totodile produced a rather intimidating expression that not only made Volcarona hesitate, but also made its trainer.

This seemed to be the perfect opportunity for both Pokemon and trainer to strike, and so Kuzumi requested for an Aqua Tail. Luckily for him, the female trainer was a few seconds too slow to react, and so Ezrio's attack easily struck the hesitant Volcarona. With its tail surrounded by water, the Totodile jumped into the air and flipped so that its tail would slam against the Sun Pokemon's head.

It was then that the martial artist's suspicions were confirmed. The Bug-Fire type reacted poorly when it was hit by the water-based attack, and the boy knew a super effective hit when he saw one. This was the chance that he was looking for, though it meant that Ice Fang was no longer an option.

"Use Hydro Pump again, Ezrio! Don't let it get away!"

Just as the Totodile landed on its feet, the Pokemon puffed up its cheeks and attempted to use Hydro Pump. Sadly this failed because the Volcarona retaliated with a powerful Heat Wave. As the two attacks collided, the water evaporated and a thick, fog-like steam rose up to hide the battlefield. Like this, it was up to each Pokemon to fight blindly.

Or it would have been if the female Ace Trainer didn't have her Pokemon use Gust to blow away the nuisance that was the steam. No matter however, for it seemed Ezrio had chosen to take the initiative during that brief moment of blindness. As it happened, the Totodile was now directly below the Volcarona, and it appeared to be grinning in triumphant despite how puffed out its cheeks were.

"Finish it, Ezrio! Hydro Pump!" The Wanderer cheered as he jumped up and threw a fist into the air in his excitement. And he was given a good reason to be so excited, it seemed, since his Big Jaw Pokemon's attack met its target and landed a critical hit. Although Ezrio's special attack wasn't the strongest, he at least had the advantage of a critical hit and typing.

Because of these advantages, the Volcarona suffered a decent amount of damage, though it was clear that the Pokemn was far from defeated still.

"We're not done yet!" The Ace Trainer announced as she gestured impatiently at how her Pokemon lifted itself up. While she was focused on glaring at Kuzumi, her pyro Bug struggled to stay in the air because of its sopping wet wings. Like it or not, that bug was going to be even slower than usual. "Go, Volcarona! Prepare to use Solarbeam!"

Now that was something the martial artist did not expect, and suddenly he found himself pressed for time as he watched the bug's wings light up due to absorbing energy from the sun. If ever there was a time to think fast, now was it. Luckily for him, his Pokemon was once again taking the time to start another Dragon Dance, and this seemed to greatly irritate the Ace Trainer.

"Dragon Dance up to Volcarona and use Aqua Tail." It seemed this was his only option: all and nothing. Ezrio, not at all bothered about this, eagerly resumed its dance and literally danced all the way up to the Bug-Fire type. Unfortunately, however, the Totodile was too slow, and the Volcarona unleashed its Solarbeam attack. This happened just as Ezrio had leaped into the air, tail once again surrounded by water, and aimed to strike the bug's head once again.

The result left Kuzumi with bated breath as he worriedly awaited the results of battle. When the Solarbeam ended, Ezrio could be seen at the end, and the Totodile wasn't moving. Kuzumi managed a couple steps before the Ace Trainer laughed about how weak the Water-type turned out to be. Before he could utter a retort however, the woman's Volcarona groaned, and then dropped to the ground, supposedly unconscious.

If Ezrio failed to get up, then the battle would end in a tie.

"Come on, Ezrio, please get up!" Kuzumi begged as clenched his fists in desperation. He knew that there wasn't much chance of a victory, but the martial artist still willed the Totodile back onto its feet. "Please don't give up," The Wanderer continued as he kept a steadfast gaze on his motionless Pokemon. After his pause, he thought he noticed the Totodile's tail twitch, and the youth dared to hope.

"Ezrio!" At that, a miracle upon miracles happened which caused a collective gasp of both trainers and the increasingly large audience. Ezrio had lifted an arm in response to his trainer's call, and although the Pokemon's eyes were still closed, the Pokemon pulled itself up off the ground to stand up. The miracle didn't end there; right before everyone's eyes was a surprise evolution.

It happened as the Pokemon forced itself back onto its feet. The glow started when Ezrio lifted a paw, and as the Pokemon pulled itself up, his body began to grow right then and there. As soon as the Big Jaw Pokemon was standing, the glow ended to reveal not a Totodile, but a Croconaw. Once the evolution was complete, Ezrio slowly opened his eyes and crossed his arms as he produced a cocky smile and Leered at the Volcarona.

When Kuzumi realized the Volcarona had been healed with a Full Restore, the martial artist's ecstatic grin faltered. Still, there wasn't a rule against using healing items during battle. Because of this, the youth shrugged off his surprise and resumed his optimistic smile. It didn't matter if he and Ezrio lost the battle. In fact, all the boy cared about was going out to celebrate his Totodile's evolution.

"You're so awesome, Ezrio!" Kuzumi cheered as he watched his Croconaw step forward to resume the battle. Sadly, there was no mistake that the Big Jaw Pokemon was too exhausted to survive even one attack, and suddenly the audience felt pity for Ezrio and Kuzumi. Neither trainer nor Pokemon noticed this shift in mood of those around them though, for they were focused on the battle at hand.

"Your Pokemon evolved?" The female Ace Trainer demanded in a tone that clearly revealed her outrage. "That's cheat!" She practically screeched as she crossed her arms and glared at Kuzumi. Apparently the woman didn't understand that Ezrio was going to lose, even with the abrupt evolution. All that mattered to her was the fact that it seemed like an entirely different Pokemon had stepped up to the plate despite the challenge originally being a one-on-one.

"Ezrio is still Ezrio!" Kuzumi replied as returned the woman's gaze with an overly cheerful smile. "It's as fair as your using a Full Restore on Volcarona!" He added as he gestured to the fully healed Sun Pokemon that appeared to appraise Ezrio's achievement. In fact, the Volcarona was congratulating the Croconaw for evolving, and even admitted that the battle was no longer fair because of the health difference.

Before the Ace Trainer could snap back at Kuzumi about what was fair and what wasn't, the audience seemed to jump in on the shouting match. As it stood, majority of the people sided with Kuzumi and even went so far as to comment on how the boy didn't pull out a Full Restore to ensure a victory. On the other hand, several of the others decided to stay out of the argument, for they weren't even trainers and didn't actually know what was considered fair.

It didn't take long for the arguments to escalate into a literal shouting match, and in that time, Kuzumi decided to take his leave with Ezrio by his side. Once the two were far away from the crowd, the Wanderer beamed proudly at his Pokemon that happened to be grinning up at him. Apparently the two were equally excited about how the Totodile handled itself in battle, and then topped everything off with an evolution.

"I know I said this already, but you're awesome."

Ezrio, pleased to hear such praise, grinned proudly up at his trainer before a yawn forced its way out of his system. Because of this, Kuzumi laughed merrily and affectionately patted the Pokemon on its head before returning it to its Poke Ball. Once the Pokemon was back in its Poke Ball, Kuzumi replaced the device onto his belt and proceeded to head towards the local Pokemon Center.

Just as he rounded a corner and spotted the Center, Kuzumi instinctively lifted his left arm and felt a person slam into it. It was when the other person fell backwards, nearly landing on his own head because of how the impact partially flipped him, that Kuzumi realized what he thoughtlessly did. Spinning around to see who he struck, the boy found he had attacked a handsome man whose light blue hair reminded him of bird's wings.

"Sorry about that," Kuzumi apologized as he offered a gloved hand to the fallen man before him. "It felt like someone was sneaking up on me, and I guess I just reacted." After he helped the man up, Kuzumi smiled politely and waited to see what the other would say in response. Before he could he stop himself though, he managed to slip an introduction into the conversation first.

"Oh, it's fine..." The man paused then as his sky blue eyes suddenly lit up upon recognition of the Wanderer's name. "You're Kuzumi? Have you come to challenge the gym?" Despite the excitement in his words and what happened, the man appeared quite calm about it all. He didn't give Kuzumi much time to answer his question however, as he continued to clasp Kuzumi's hand and practically dragged the boy towards the Pokemon Center. "Come, let us heal your Pokemon first. I'm Art, by the way."

The martial artist was caught off guard by the man's question. To be honest, he didn't even think about challenging the gym, but it did sound like a good idea. Thankfully the guy was considerate enough to put the Pokemon Center as first priority, and Kuzumi grinned. The Wanderer already decided he liked this guy, even if he didn't know anything beyond the man's name.

"The gym! Which gym is here?" Kuzumi inquired as he thought about all ten gyms scattered on Aerei. He rarely knew what he was going to be up against until he entered, and because of that, he rarely knew beforehand what Pokemon he would use. "How did you know I was going to challenge the gym, anyway?" The boy added as he peered questioningly up at his attractive companion.

"You're pretty famous, Kuzumi," Art replied calmly as he opened the door and led Kuzumi up to the nurse by hand. "Especially after that stunning performance in the race from a few weeks ago." Here, the man released Kuzumi's hand and gestured for the boy to speak with the local nurse. Arms patiently crossed, the gym leader idly looked around, appearing oblivious to the fact that most people were staring at him in admiration.

Even the nurse was distracted with his presence, though Kuzumi did manage to get the woman to take his tired Pokemon for healing. After the female nurse reluctantly moved away to get to work, Kuzumi turned his attention to Art and noted how the man indifferently gazed about. It was clear to the martial artist that Art was a veteran trainer.

"I'm famous? Just because I was in a race?" While most people would have been exuberant about such recognition, Kuzumi's face paled. The last thing he wanted was to be well known in the region, and he especially didn't want the attention of those who would cause him trouble. After everything he went through before he arrived to Aerei, the last thing the boy wanted was to be famous.

Art, with his cool head and calculating eyes, realized his mistake in mentioning the boy's fame. Choosing not to amend his words by explaining that Kuzumi's progress with the gym challenges also played a part, the man offered a reassuring smile. "Who could forget the two trainers that won the race?" This seemed to calm the youth down enough for the Wanderer to return the smile, though it was significantly weaker than before.

"Do you not like to be known?"

Here, the boy looked away to face the counter again. A few seconds after this, Art heard the nurse's footsteps and turned just in time to see the woman return with Kuzumi's Pokemon. Silently his gaze returned to Kuzumi and a brow was raised in unspoken question. The boy must have had especially good hearing to have foreseen the nurse's return.

"As a martial artist, my senses have to be sharper than most." Kuzumi informed his male companion as he nodded in thanks to the nurse and returned each Poke Ball back to his trainer belt. Once this was done, startling blue eyes glanced up in time to see the startled expression Art's usually calm face. After a moment, the Wanderer realized that Art didn't actually ask the question.

Because Kuzumi had been distracted with his thoughts concerning how famous he apparently was, the youth had carelessly responded to what his psychic abilities revealed to him. Determined not to repeat that mistake, the youth flashed an amused grin at his companion and forced himself to push away his worries. It was too late to undo his mistakes, and so there was no point in regretting his fame.

"You never told me what I was up against, Art."

It was an obvious subject change, as it was clear the boy wasn't going to explain the reason for his outburst, and Art coolly accepted the switch with a shrug of his shoulders. The man simply chose to dismiss the boy's explanation as something Kuzumi ended up doing often. For all he knew, the boy could have spoken out of habit instead of actually reading his mind and answering the question.

"You're to face a gym of Flying-types," Art replied as a sly smile touched his lips. "So Electric- and Rock-types would probably be ideal, even Ice-types." He added as he gestured to a few of the nearby trainers that were discussing the strengths and weaknesses of their Pokemon. As it turned out, many of the trainers there were in possession of the aforementioned types, and none of them seemed overly proud, and this was presumably because the local gym was tougher than thought.

"However, currently the gym leader is out on business." The gym leader announced as he quirked a brow at the boy before him. He didn't even consider letting the youth know that he was, in fact, the gym leader. "For what reason, however, is unknown." The man finished as he threw his hands up a bit and shook his head, apparently exasperated with the gym leader he spoke of.

Kuzumi, having never really looked into the gyms and their leaders, proved to be completely oblivious of who his companion was. Not only did he nod in acceptance to the provided information, he also admitted that a gym leader's business was his or her own. By not specifying the gender of the local leader, the martial artist revealed his ignorance of who he was to face sometime eventually.

After a short period of time, Kuzumi suggested that they go out to eat. Before Art could even consider turning the youth down, his own stomach growled in response and caused the usually cool-headed man to smile in embarrassment. Because of this, he agreed to the offer and the pair moved toward a nearby outdoor cafe that Art pointed out.

Once they were settled at a table to wait for their orders, Kuzumi started the conversation off with what Art was currently up to. "I mean, there must have been a reason why you were running behind me, right?" The Wanderer grinned as reminded his companion of how they recently met. Upon the reminder, Art chuckled and shook his head as he first replied with how that actually hurt.

"But seriously, I was actually looking into something that has been bothering me for some days now." The Bird specialist responded as he thoughtfully looked over to absently watch those who passed by their table. He didn't understand why, but he felt like he could trust Kuzumi with this information and lowered his voice so only the Wanderer would hear him. "There's been some underground business supplying super powerful Pokemon to trainers here."

At the mention of the Pokemon, Kuzumi immediately thought back to all the Pokemon that were mainly Electric- Rock- and Ice-types. While most of the trainers there appeared to be decent in matters of experience, none of them struck him as powerful trainers. The problem with the picture was that those trainers were discussing the possibilities of what some pretty incredible Pokemon could do.

All three types of Pokemon were used mainly to fight the local gym.

When Kuzumi came to this swift conclusion, the martial artist's voice lowered as well as he voiced his suspicion. "Someone is trying to ruin the gym?" When Art answered with a subtle nod of his head, Kuzumi's face broke into a wide grin. It was a facade, of course, and a rather convincing one at that for even Art quirked a calm brow at the sudden smile. With his voice still at a conspiratorial level, Kuzumi inquired, "For what benefit?"

It was this question that caught the level-headed man's attention, and soon Art understood what it was Kuzumi was doing. In response to the youth's question, the man chuckled heartily, as if the two had just shared an especially good joke. This was good timing too, for a waitress chose then to place their orders on the table and ask if either male wanted anything else. Soon after the woman was dismissed, both trainers dutifully began to eat.

Still, it was clearly an obligatory action on their part, though only the pair took notice. The entire meal was taken in silence as each trainer thought about the problem that the gym was having. While Art was considering how much to tell Kuzumi, the Wanderer was considering what course of action he could take that would both take care of the problem and wouldn't give him too much attention.

Eventually the meal was over, and the pair just sat there, still lost in their own thoughts. Finally Art let out a sigh and gestured for Kuzumi to follow him; it seemed the man had made his decision. Soon after this, the two trainers were heading towards the edge of town. It would be out in the wilderness that the two continued their discussion.

"I think it's the Anarchists."

"Anarchists?" Kuzumi repeated as he followed Art further into the wildnerness. The Wanderer was confident that no one was on their trail, and so the boy felt no need to keep his voice low. "I've heard that term a couple times now. Who are they?" The boy continued as he paused to lean against a tree when he found his companion had chosen to stop.

"They are people bent on causing everyone nothing but trouble." Art replied bitterly as he spun around to face Kuzumi. For a moment he seemed to lose his cool, but soon his charismatic calm returned and the man brushed away imaginary dirt from his pants. Once he was calm again, the man made quick work of further explaining to Kuzumi what the Anarchists are and his suspicions of their part in the gym's problems.

"So." Kuzumi replied as he pushed off the tree and grinned at his friend. "Where do we start?" With that said, both adult and teenager nodded; it was agreed that they would work together to stop the Anarchists from being a nuisance. As it was explained that Art had an idea as to where to look for one of the Anarchists, Kuzumi held up a hand in request for silence.

After a moment, the youth pointed beyond some trees which confused Art. Still, the man chose to patiently wait to see what it was the Wanderer was pointing at, and finally a suspicious character flitted into view for a brief moment before he disappeared. When Art revealed that the person they spotted was who he was looking for, Kuzumi nodded and the two took off in chase.

As it turned out, they didn't have to run very far, and in fact needed to dive somewhere for cover. Seconds after Art dove behind a tree and Kuzumi jumped onto the branches, the suspected Anarchist spun around to see if anyone was following him. The man was apparently quite suspicious and took his time with deciding that the coast was clear, but when he finally did, an obviously weak trainer stepped uncertainly into the clearing.

"So, you need a Pokemon to help you beat the gym?"

This was how the conversation started, and after a series of questions, the man eventually pulled out three Poke Balls for the kid to choose from. As it was explained that the choices were between a Magneton, Jynx, and Armaldo, Kuzumi glanced down at Art. It seemed the man had chosen then to glance up at him and a silent agreement was made between the two.

Just as the kid was about to choose the Armaldo, Kuzumi burst out from his perch and landed in the clearing. "Hey, mind if I cut in?" The martial artist jovially inquired as he grinned at the two startled trainers. "Are you really going to accept a Pokemon that you have no chance in controlling?" It was a pretty harsh way of asking, but the boy knew it was necessary to remind the weak trainer to think about this.

"Stay out of this, you nosy brat." The Anarchist demanded as he glared at the martial artist. Right as he lifted a ball to send out one of the Pokemon, a Noctowl abruptly appeared and snatched the Poke Ball out of his hand. "What the!?" Before he could react properly, the owl stole a second ball and flew past Kuzumi to round the tree where Art hid.

"We have some questions." Art announced as he stepped from behind the tree and smiled icily at the startled Anarchist and customer. As he pocketed the two stolen Poke Balls, his Noctowl landed lightly on his shoulder and turned its piercing gaze onto the weak trainer. "I can tell when a Pokemon isn't suited to a person," He announced as he moved to stand confidently beside Kuzumi. "And if I'm defeated by such a pair, I can refuse a person the badge."

At that comment, it occurred to the Wanderer that he was with the gym leader himself, and suddenly the youth's face lit up in excitement. So Art was the gym leader that was supposed to be out on some business. It all made sense then- well, everything but the reason why Kuzumi wasn't informed of Art's status as gym leader.

There wasn't much time for him to continue with these thoughts, for the Anarchist quickly summoned the remaining Pokemon, the Armaldo, in challenge. Once this happened, the weak trainer cried out and scrambled away in hopes of not being attacked by the powerful Pokemon. At the same time as this, Art sent his Noctowl forth to accept the challenge and started the battle off with a Reflect.

Unfortunately for him, the Armaldo retaliated with an AncientPower, and suddenly the gym leader found he had to step back. In hopes of escaping the rock attack, he ordered for his bird to Fly higher, though this left himself wide open for the attack. Before he could be hit, Kuzumi stepped in the way and focused his energy in a single punch.

With that punch, the rock that had flown in Art's direction broke in half and fell harmlessly on either side of the young martial artist. While everyone gaped at him in shock, Kuzumi swiftly pulled out a Poke Ball of his own and sent out a Scizor to join the battle. As soon as the Pokemon appeared, it lunged at the Plate Pokemon with a swift Bullet Punch at the ready.

Luckily Lann was quicker than the Rock-Bug type, which meant the Pincer Pokemon's attack struck its target, and still left time to move away before the Armaldo could react. This seemed to snap the Anarchist out of his stupor long enough to recall that Art's Noctowl started Fly. Due to this realization, he ordered his Armaldo to use Protect, and then told it to strike with a Crush Claw.

With the Protect up and his Noctowl already prepared to dive at the Armaldo, Art found that he was unable to warn his Pokemon to lay off the attack. Because of this, he ordered his Pokemon to at least use Agility so it would be able to avoid the Amarldo's counterattack. While he watched his bird collide with the Protect, and then hastily try to regain its balance so it could Agility out of reach, Kuzumi turned to his Pokemon and nodded for it to strike.

First, during the period of the Protect being raised, and then blocking Noctowl's Fly attack, Lann decided to Focus Energy. After a brief moment of tightening his control over his strength to allow him to chance upon critical hits more often, the Pokemon lunged at the distracted Armaldo, a red claw turning metallic grey to perform a Metal Claw. Thankfully the distraction that Noctowl provided allowed Lann enough time to take careful aim, and this ended with a critical strike on top of super effective damage.

When the Armaldo failed to strike its target, but was also struck by the Scizor, its trainer suddenly cursed as he realized the huge disadvantage he was in. This was a battle against two capable of trainers, it he was ingeniously only using one Pokemon to fend off two. If there was ever a time to flee a scene, then now was definitely such a time.

The problem was not being caught immediately after leaving. It would take a minute to come up with a viable plan, so until then, he would just have to continue battling. As he ordered the Armor Pokemon to use Substitute and AncientPower, he slowly inched his way to stand behind the Rock/Bug type. Like this, he would be virtually invisible to his opponents with only his voice informing the opponents that he was still there.

Well, that, and the fact that the Armaldo was still there.

While the man carefully inched backwards, heedless of the fact that the weak trainer he had planned to give a Pokemon to was able to see his every move. Luckily for him though, the kid was too busy watching with wide, fascinated eyes as Art and Kuzumi took on the Armaldo. Despite the fact that the Noctowl's attack failed earlier, the fact that it managed to dodge the Crush Claw was still awe-inspiring.

Even more inspiring was how both Lann and Noctowl handled the threat of another AncientPower. This time the Owl was prepared, and it easily stopped the AncientPower with a powerful Psychic attack. Once all the rocks were stuck floating in place, Lann took the opportunity to strike each with a Quick Attack.

However, instead of breaking the rocks, the Scizor had each one fly towards the Armaldo and the unsuspecting Anarchist. The man failed to realize that facing experienced trainers also meant facing experienced hunters, as both trainers understood what the man was planning the moment he stepped behind the Plate Pokemon. They knew exactly how their prey squirmed, and so they knew how to prevent their prey from finding any spark of hope.

While the Armaldo struggled to avoid its own attack and failed miserably to do, the Pokemon inadvertently started to back up towards its trainer. Before it could stop itself, the Pokemon managed to step on the Anarchist's foot and, in the process, ended up falling over because of it. In result of this, not only was the Anarchist caught, but he was caught by his own Pokemon.

"Good job, Kuzumi," Art complimented as he returned his Noctowl into its Poke Ball. "Not only did you find catch him in the act, but you caught him before he could run." At this, the man let out an airy laugh that practically melted the weak trainer. When he finally calmed down, he found that the weak trainer had run off, most likely trying to escape the embarrassment that was trying to cheat on a league challenge.

"But if you didn't lead us to the forest, I wouldn't have noticed him," Kuzumi replied as he thanked the Scizor for its help. Once the Pokemon was returned to its Poke Ball, Kuzumi flashed a wide grin at his companion as he gestured toward the fallen Anarchist. "And besides, you're the one that made catching him possible." Here, both Wanderer and gym leader smiled at one another, as it was clear to both that modesty presented was genuine.

Due to this observation, it was mutually agreed that a bond of friendship had not only been forged between the two, but strengthened.

"Shall we interrogate our prisoner?" At this suggestion, the two approached the Anarchist and the dazed Plate Pokemon. It was clear to Art and Kuzumi that the Armaldo was not about to return to its feet anytime soon. "So, about your job..." With that, the interrogation went underway, and after a few hours of it, the gym leader and Wanderer were satisfied with the knowledge "shared".

Once it was over, Kuzumi tossed Art the Armaldo's Poke Ball and waited for the man to send the Pokemon away. As soon as it was dismissed, the martial artist snatched the Anarchist and pinned the guy down long enough for Art to knock the criminal out. With all of this done, Kuzumi returned to his feet, and then heaved the unconscious criminal over his shoulder.

Like this, the pair returned to town and dropped off the Anarchist at the local jail. Soon after, Art and Kuzumi made their way to the Pokemon Gym where they would discuss their course of action in confronting the trouble. According to the Anarchist grunt they captured earlier, the base of these operations was actually hidden in the very cafe they visited earlier that day.

The meetings were always sometime into the night, and always to discuss the most candidates that requested assistance to defeat Art. As it just so happened, there was a meeting for that very night, and so the pair was determined to crash the party. As the two sat down in Art's office to discuss the plan, Kuzumi couldn't help but comment on the fact that he wasn't sure this would be the end.

"Even if it's just a step, it will be more progress than I've made in days." Art calmly replied before he took a sip of his oolong tea. When he noticed that Kuzumi made no reply, the man peered over at his young companion and quirked a brow. It seemed the martial artist was deep in thought though, so the gym leader leaned into his chair and patiently waited for the youth to return to him.

"[color=#c3a371If it isn't the end, then it would be the second step to the end,[/color]" Kuzumi absently announced as he nodded his head. "And we can keep going until we do find that end." That said, the Wanderer peered up at his elder and flashed a grin. He was definitely going to enjoy this adventure, as it was way more fun than just battling. "So, how do we get in, and what do we do?"

Here, Art found he had started nodding to Kuzumi's words. It seemed they shared a similar thought process, and this pleased the bird specialist. This meant it would be all the easier to get his way with the Anarchists, and the interruption of the meeting would run smoothly. Feeling triumphant about these thoughts, the man jumped straight into the explanation, though he was forced to pause as Kuzumi gave him minor details to consider in the plan.

Eventually though, it was decided, and the two smiled triumphantly at the fact that they found a compromise in the plan.

It was quite simple, really, and easily executed. One of the waitresses was clearly a big fan of Art, though none could blame her, so distracting her with small talk was naturally easy. While the woman was distracted, Kuzumi was expected to sneak by and take a cafe key. Luckily this waitress was one of the people that usually closed the cafe, and even luckier was the fact that she was about to get off work in a few minutes, meaning the woman wouldn't need her key.

Once Kuzumi had the key and gave Art a sly nod of approval, the gym leader decided he would walk the waitress home, for the man knew where his fan lived. It would only take five to ten minutes to make the round trip, though this was factoring out the possibility that he would find himself in a bit of a compromising situation. There was no telling if he would be able to slip away after walking the woman home, but if nothing troublesome was to happen, then ten minutes tops would be needed for him to return.

In that time, Kuzumi would wait in the shadows, taking a page out of Yuki's book by blending in with his surroundings. Due to this, the boy was content in the fact that no one bothered him, and nearly everyone overlooked his presence. Unfortunately there were a few people that actually noticed him, for his very presence was enough to attract the attention of the more open-minded, but none bothered him.

Eventually Art would return and join Kuzumi at the table that was hidden in shadows, and the man would smile calmly at his younger companion. The start was a smooth one, and thankfully, the rest of the procedure was just as easy. Once the cafe was closed, the pair obliged in moving away from the building, but they only went so far so they could keep an eye on the place.

It came as no surprise when several people approached the cafe at different times, and when the pair was certain no one else would enter, the two made their way across the street to enter the cafe as well. Naturally the door was locked, but Kuzumi was in possession of a stolen key, so entering wasn't a hassle. As soon as they were inside, both males crouched down to keep from being spotted by any wandering eyes.

This was the tricky part in the plan, for the point of their stealth was for them to be undetected. At first it wasn't difficult since there were no guards wandering the dining room, kitchen, and halls, but eventually the two became keenly aware of how the back room was heavily guarded. The hall that led to the room had at least five guards set apart at specific distances, and there were at least two extra guards standing before the door.

It was Kuzumi's guess that there would be two guards by the door, one pair for each side of the threshold, and when the intruders peered at the obstacle, Art found he had to agree with the assumption. This being the trickiest step in their plan, a lot of time had been put in figuring out what to do about all of the guards. After discussing it for some time, it was agreed that they would just have to knock the people out.

That, however, was where the two had their disagreement. While Kuzumi was more interested in dashing to knock each person out, Art wanted to send in his Noctowl to use Hypnosis on each person. When those ideas were ruled out, the two argued about using some sort of sleeping gas (Kuzumi's idea) and having a Psychic-type use its psychic abilities to take care of the problem.

When those ideas were ruled out, Art and Kuzumi found that they were out of ideas. It was during the short period of pondering what to do about guards that brought their heads back together. A sleeping gas could actually work, and it would be useful to have a Psychic-type out to keep the people from moving. The only difficulty would be keeping the people from uttering any noises, and once again the pair was stumped.

They never did figure out what they were going to do, and when they finally reached the point where the idea was needed, Art decided to let out his Altaria while Kuzumi had his Medicham appear. Apparently the two were thinking along the same lines, for after Kuzumi's Medicham snatched all the guards and pulled them all away from their posts, Art had his Altaria Sing the guards to sleep.

Now that the guards were out of the way, both Art and Kuzumi grinned at one another. It was a real surprise that their actions were so in sync, but that wasn't the time to think on it. Once the guards were taken care of, the duo would then crash the party in the backroom with the help of their Pokemon. When it was all done, Art patted Kuzumi on the shoulder as he looked around at the dazed Anarchists.

"Easier than I thought it would be."

"Which is good since this is a big job," Kuzumi grinned as he nodded at the gym leader. "Let's get interrogating." When it was agreed that it was time to work, both males moved to question different Anarchists. The purpose of this was to see if any stories would match up, for those were usually the stories that were actually truth. It took an hour or so for the two to finish interrogating each Anarchist, even going so far as to cross-examine the stories of their prisoners, and the two were going over the gathered information.

"How could they know next to nothing about why they're doing this?" Kuzumi sighed as he kicked a nearby Anarchist in the side. As the man groaned in pain, the martial artist turned his attention to Art. It seemed the man was thinking hard about this as well, and because he didn't want to disturb the guy, Kuzumi glanced over at the fallen Anarchists.

They had to know something about why they were ordered to cause problems for Art and his gym. As far as the Wanderer was concerned, it didn't make much sense to not ask about the purpose of missions. "We should probably get these people to the police." It seemed that was what Art needed to snap him back to the present, and when the man peered quizzically at Kuzumi, the boy made quick work of his reasoning.

Soon enough, the pair was found hauling the group of Anarchists out of the cafe. It took a while for the two and their Pokemon to eventually reach the police station, but as soon as everything was settled, the two males returned to Art's gym. Once again they were in the gym leader's office, and once again there was a discussion about what to do.

"For now we should get some sleep," Art announced as he rubbed his temples. "Thanks for your help, Kuzumi, but I'll take over from here." It wasn't a surprise when the martial artist rejected the idea, though it still touched him that the boy was so adamant about helping. Still, he didn't want to distract the kid from collecting enough badges to challenge the Pokemon League, and Art made sure Kuzumi knew this.

Although the Wanderer didn't plan on taking on the Elite Four, he found he couldn't deny that this would be a reasonable decision for an actual trainer. "But I'll have to challenge you eventually, right?" The boy inquired as he gestured to the case of winged badges off to the side. When the man revealed he had no reply to this, Kuzumi continued. "I won't challenge you if you're still dealing with the Anarchists. Let me help you."

There was a moment of silence as Art considered this. As if to real dig in Kuzumi's point, the Wanderer was quick to add, "With the Anarchists out of your way, you won't be weary, and then we'll have a battle." At that, Art sighed, apparently defeated. When Kuzumi noticed this, the boy flashed a triumphant grin at his elder companion.

"All right, but we'll continue this another day." Upon noticing the puzzled expression on Kuzumi's face, the gym leader smiled. "When I have more information to work on. How can I get in contact with you?" It was then that Art learned his younger companion was without any technology save the Poke Balls, and the man shook his head in amusement at the idea. Finally the man offered one of his own phones, it was an older version anyway, and then explained how it worked.

Once the boy revealed that he more or less understood how it worked, Art nodded in satisfaction. "I'll call you when I learn of something, okay?"

"All right, I'll be waiting!" With all of this said and done, Art escorted Kuzumi out of the gym and wished the boy good luck. Once Kuzumi was outside, the youth decided he had no business left in town. Because of this, the boy was convinced that he would just have to get back to Art's gym another time.

And 2% fame for you. One for that crowd on the beginning, another one for running around with Art the whole time.

And the Anarchists will be mad~
