A picture-perfect, whispy clouded sky hung over the coastal, tourism city of Aerei; waves crashing on the golden beaches, kids and adults alike playing on the coast, skating, biking, or simply out for a walk with the girl-next-door. The Verdant Blaziken, which was towering over the other nearby skyscrapers, and all of the lavish stores bordering the streets gave shade to the city's denizens from the beating down sun. The endless variety of watercraft is heard from the waters, from the massive cruise ship SS Milotic to the motorboat-pulled water skiers. Truly an amazing beautiful day in Palderon City.

But what if I told you everything isn't quite like it seemed?

A gloved hand grabbed a fistful of a man's shirt and slammed him against the white wall of the alleyway side of a PokeMart. "Tell me, dammit! Who has the blueprints and where in this freaking town are they!? barked the man who had slammed the other into the wall. "I told you, I don't-" Not getting the answer he wanted, the man threw a punch in the others stomach, and let him slide to the ground. As he hit the ground, a pad of papers fell out of his coat pocket.

The assailant stepped back, the sunlight shedding some light on him. The man was wearing a black and white striped shirt, tucked into blue pants. He wore a bandanna that matched the color of his pants with a skull-like symbol on it. He was flanked by two others in a similar getup, one man and one woman. The woman stepped forward and knelt beside the floored victim. "Hey Boss. Check out what Mr. Zander had in his coat pocket." She picked up the papers and flipped through them. "Yeah. These are definitely them. Here," she said, handing the pad over to the apparent leader.

"Good." He turned to the other grunt, "Corey, go call HQ and tell them we have the papers. Meet us by the Milotic. Bring extra clothes and all of our gear. Lara, we'll go ahead and get to the boat." He turned and started jogging toward the busy, seemingly perfect streets of Palderon, Lara following and Corey headed in the opposite direction.

Red sneakers fell onto the white stone sidewalks of the Main St., Palderon City. The owner of those shoes, who was incidentally connected to them, brushed her brown hair out from in front of and covered her eyes from the sun, squinting. "The big city, where I hate being," Sophie muttered with a scowl. There were too many people in such small spaces. Just... No. She didn't like them.

Sophie stopped under the shade of a locally-owned, small coffee shop, put her hand on her hip, feeling the small metallic ball that was tethered to her belt. There was an actual Pokemon in that ball, and not just any, but the first one she had caught. An overwhelming achievement, at least in her book. She unclipped the Pokeball, and expanded it, turning it in her hands as she walked into the shop.

((@_@ I think I've been writing solos for too long... This ended up almost twice as long as I had initially intended. >_>))

With such a pretty sky above, Risa couldn't help but smile a bit. She looked up to the sky, admiring the clear blue color that hung over the picture-perfect beach. She brushed back her dual-colored hair, moving the auburn bangs behind her ear so they wouldn't get in her face before turning around. It was her first time in Palderon, and she wasn't quite sure where to start in her adventures.

"What do you think, Rai?" she asked her Leafeon, looking down to the Verdant eeveelution curiously. She really wasn't sure where to go from there, and for whatever reason, she felt compelled to make the inquiry to her Pokemon. There was the beach, sure, but that wasn't something that attracted the teen. Being at the beach entailed revealing much more of her body than she would like to.

It wasn't that she was embarrassed of her body, for there really wasn't much to dislike. Risa was pretty lucky, as far as genetics went, and she had that body shape that every girl sought. She was curvy in all the right places; wide hips, a narrow waist, and gifted with a bra size larger than most. She was ashamed of scars that littered her upper thighs, telling their tales of a rough past, and she was afraid of drawing the wrong kinds of attention to herself. Where there were scantily clad women, there were always pervs and men to admire them.

The timid young woman preferred wandering the city much more than being on the beach any day. The only regret about this decision was that her Pokemon could not all accompany her as she aimlessly wandered. It would seem odd and rather inconvenient, she thought, if she were followed by a Croconaw, Mienshao, Leafeon, Froslass, and a Meowth. It would also be rather difficult to keep track of them all. In Risa's experience, people had an eye on her Pokemon, too; desiring to steal them.

The Leafeon peered up at her trainer before mewling back in response. Of course, this didn't mean much to Risa, and it wasn't intended to. It was simply an acknowledgement that she had been spoken to. Of course, Rai didn't have any preferences in where they were, so long as she was able to soak in the warm rays of the sun. That was how the Verdant Eeveelution got her nutrition, and it was making her look healthier already. The Pokemon's coat was shiny and appeared to have a golden shimmer to it, although this could've been her ability kicking in in the sunny weather.

In response, Risa merely smiled, turning her head to glance down at Rai with big, brown eyes. "Very helpful," she retorted with a bit of a chuckle. Her good natured mood ended rather quickly, however, when she noticed a few people wandering around, wearing identical, shady outfits and whispering to each other. When they noticed Risa staring at them, they stopped speaking all together.

This caught her attention, and immediately, her entire demeanor changed. She was alert and nervous, watching warily from afar. The more she focused, the more people she realized were around her in the same odd blue and white outfit. Biting her lip nervously, she glanced down to Rai before tugging at her zip-up hoodie's jacket sleeve to pull the violet fabric down. "M-Maybe it's a bad day to be here..." she murmured to Rai, quickly bending down to scoop up her Leafeon and cuddle her affectionately.

The Leafeon sighed, nuzzling her trainer back while wrapping her leaf-like tail around her arm in attempt to calm the human's nerves. She watched the people, realizing
how suspicious they looked. The Pokemon quickly squirmed out of Risa's arms, leaping deftly to the ground, before she glanced around, searching for somewhere to go. The Pokemon seemed to pinpoint a store, for she began walking in the opposite direction of Risa, only stopping to glance over her shoulder to make sure her human was following.

"R-Rai, wait!" Risa practically squeaked before turning to follow. Of course, this wasn't without one last peek over her shoulder to check if those people were still there. They seemed to be walking away, however, so Risa tried to ease her mind with thinking that perhaps they were leaving, and she wouldn't have to worry about anything.

Rai led her human to a coffee shop, the same one in which Sophie had just entered not too long ago. Risa quickly followed, not wanting her Pokemon to be yelled at for abruptly entering. Hopefully, the shopkeeper wouldn't mind Rai out of her Pokeball...

When Risa entered, she gasped, surprised at the sudden combinations of smells. The coffee smelled so fresh and good! Not bitter in the slightest. She faintly smiled before glancing back to Rai, only to scoop her up again. "Don't wander off like that anymore, okay?" she murmured to her Pokemon, absently stroking the Eeveelution's fur while reading the menu.

Risa wasn't a big fan of coffee, but she did love a good sweet, blended coffee drink every now and then, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get one. Of course, the teen was extremely indecisive, and upon realizing how many options the cafe had to offer, Risa glanced around for an empty table, promptly sat in one of the chairs with Rai in her lap, and began contemplating what her order would be. Hopefully it wouldn't take her too long to decide...

{sorry took me longer to reply than originally expected, i was at work longer than i thought and had some unexpected plans. And of course it takes me a while to write half decent replies - again sorry.}

Now this city was most certainly different compared to the few other's that the duo had witnessed or been told of - alright, that was a lie. The only city in which they knew anything of being the one of their birth, any other they knew little of with exception of Palderon and only from the small information that had been given by those who had themselves previously visited this sea facing tourist city with it's clear blue sky's hanging above the large skyscrapers.

Kaito was actually allowing himself the brief oppertunity to admire the scene that reside both above and round him for what seemed to be an eternity but in reality was only a matter of minutes as the white haired male slowly allowed himself to pace the small section of the busy street in which he had been forced to wait upon for the white haired female in which had chosen now of all times to allow herself to become distracted by all the new things that were around them. It had now gotten to the point in which he was forced to intervene in order for the two to be able to more easily progress further into the city.

It was only when he were about to make the move towards the shorter female that things were about to change ever so slightly, the appearance of a a couple of people that were dressed in blue pants and stripped shirts that brushed past the female causing her to become startled and somewhat nervous of their presence. So much that Yuri found herself dashing back over to her sibling upon locating the taller male and grabbing a fistful of his sleeve within her small hand for some comfort. "I'm done now Kaito - can we go? . . . . i'm getting thirsty." Yuri spoke, her voice barely rising above a loud whisper as she directed these words towards her sibling while her eyes continued to focus upon the dissappearing figures that had caused her unease.

Taking note of the shorter female discomfort with being outside now, Kaito dared allow himself to relax and visibly nod a little in agreement. "Sure - there's a coffee shop over there, that'll be a good place." he stated firmly, gently tugging his arm free of his sister's grip before starting to guide the female towards the shop that had caught his attention a few moments earlier upon taking note of the female that had just entered the building just off the street.

It was only after this decision had been made that the pair made their way through the few people that stood between them and the coffee shop in question before they too entered the small shop and were engulfed by the multiple smells and sounds that were within this small place.
