First Parliamentary Reading

Quote:

The Statute of Laws Act

IN this parliament assembled we do hereby introduce by a majority in favour of a Statute of Laws type system this introductory act.

WITH the introduction of this act we shall build a basis from this point with necessary acts to structure, grow and keep order within the region.

WE hereby recognise this as the official structure for parliament and the region. A Statute LawBook.

UPON Passage of this act it shall become Law and built on with future Acts (Laws) Common Law (Precedent of the Court) and Treaties (International Diplomatic Relations).

I propose the above for the introductory Act.

Please Discuss.

This is a wonderful introductory act, I do not see any problems with it

This is absolutely fine. Do we even need to vote, or can we continue on with the rest of the act?

As long as it has approval from Parliament it does not need to be voted upon.

Anyway, I think this is an excellent opener.

I think Mr. Bettingham means if we have to vote on it, and lets continue working on the statutes and we will vote on all of them as a collective

Sounds good to me gentlemen. We must however remember it is *Statute not *Statue. They are quite different!

He though is not a member of Parliament, but perhaps input from the Lord Chief Justice on these particular bills is fine. Those of a Judicial nature however he must not. Oh, my apologies. Statue, Statute. To me, these Laws are of a similar nature ;)

The Public Gallery is there for a reason Gentlemen ;)
I believe that is where you would be best suited to express your views on matters in the future My Lord Chief Justice :) Of course only if it doesn't compromise your impartiality.
