Plasma Caster The plasma caster is a long range energy projector capable of guiding armor-penetrating plasma bolts at distant targets. Morever, the weapon's bolts explode in a burst of plasma shrapnel that damages other enemies near the point of impact. By default, the weapon's attack range is greater than the Hunter's visual range. Predator vision modes changes this relationship, however, enabling the Hunter to act as a sniper. The Plasma Caster can be dual wielded if two are collected. There are two main ways of firing a Plasma Caster that have been seen in the films. One is a faster, but more explosive and more unstable gold-colored charge. The other is a safer, but slower and less explosive blue-colored charge. The plasma caster can be charged by the user to fire more powerful shots that are even more damaging to prey. Young Yautja are not equipped with plasma casters and must face a right of passage hunt where they must venture on a hunt using only their bladed weapons. Plasma casters and advanced weaponry come with greater hunts and experience. It should be noted that using plasma weaponry takes away from the honor of a kill. This can be seen both in the end of Predator 1 and 2 where the Predator removes his mask and ranged weapons and only utilizes his blades.
Wrist Blades Wrist blades (Yautja: Ki'cti-pa) are the chosen weapon for most Predators on the hunt. Wrist blades are retractable twin blades between six and eighteen inches long, between two and eight inches apart and sharp enough to cut through bone. The serrated edge on the back of each wrist blade is intended for use against unarmoured adversaries. The Predator identified as "Celtic" possesed blades that could reverse direction. As a point of pride, the Brawler rank arm themselves with these melee weapons exclusively, inflicting a crippling amount of damage even without the use of ranged weapons. Wrist blades are not without drawbacks, for example some of the longer ones are too long to be covered by the Hunter's Cloaking Device. Also, the shorter ones are visible through their adaptive camo systems when covered in gore. They are also not acid-proof, and will melt when cutting a Xenomorph. However, older Hunters, like Wolf are allowed to use acid-resistant coating for their wrist blades, which remedies this. Dual Wrist Blades: Some Yautja carry wrist blades on both of their arms for an unknown reason.
Combistick The Combi-stick, Combi-staff or "Combat-Staff" (Yautja: Naginata), is an exceedingly sharp and resilient weapon used by the Predator species. The Combi-stick is telescopic, extended to its full length when used in combat. It is made of incredible material, light but sharp, thin but strong. The Predator recieves the Naginata when they have finished all of their extremely hard training, and have shown themselves ready to begin their first hunt. The predator will decorate the Naginata through time with skulls and memories of different hunts and moments in their long life, making the staff a part of the Predator, and prized possession. The staff ultimately becomes more powerful. If the staff breaks (which it happens rarely) the predator takes its own life. When a predator dies an honorable death they are buried with their spear. The spear's advantage is that it is extremely fast, well balanced and extremley strong. It can also parry melee attacks, smacking aside claw, tooth and bullets as if they were hardly relevant. This only works on less skilled opponents. It is also very easy to throw because its so light. A Yautja preparing to throw the Combistaff Yautja Spear Masters are tend to train solely in the use of these weapons and have displayed their mastery in combat by holding back hordes of enemies. They also teach young predators in the art of wielding the powerful Naginata. A Spear Master is the second highest rank next to Elder.
Smartdisc The smart disc (also known simply as the "disc") is an extremely sharp circular weapon that is thrown like a discus and returns to the user like a boomerang. This weapon is extremely powerful, shown to cut through half a dozen cattle carcasses and a man in Predator 2 in quick succession without any effort. It also has a hand grip for use as a slashing melee weapon as well. In the film Alien vs. Predator and its sequel, the smart disc's alternative was the shuriken. It is stated that the disc is mentally controlled by the Predator; Predators who train their mental capacity are able to do this. The discs may also be upgraded to have a rotating laser covering the edge. Also in the Aliens versus Predator first-person shooter games, the disc had a homing device when used in conjunction with an appropriate vision mode, and could be retracted at will. Whether this is the case in the movies has never been stated, but it is most likely technological. This device is capable of cutting through most substances with its devastating razor edges, and is powerful enough to cut through multiple targets with one throw. Computer-controlled gyros guarantee that the disc returns to its wielder, but if it becomes embedded in a solid material it can be returned by the push of a control-panel button.
Shuriken The Shuriken functions much like the smart disc. Constructed with retractable blades, the shuriken is also used as a slashing weapon and is immune to a xenomorph's acid blood. Keen enough to cut into three inches of solid stone, the blades are strong enough to break a xenomorph Queen's hardened head armor, though it cannot seem to actually cut it.
