Sorry about the missing chunks, but I'm working to fix those. Full name: Xellav Rikans Status: Lieutenant; fighter pilot Species: Marrelkian (descended from genetically modified humans) Race: Gaulaivic (equivalent of Caucasian) Gender: Male Home planet: New Marrelkia Age: 26 (Earth years) Height: 7' 4" Weight: 275 lbs. Skin color: white Eye Color: blue Hair color: blond Weapons used: - X310 assault rifle: a combination fully automatic gauss rifle and plasma rifle. Failsafes prevent weapon from overheating by causing entire weapon to shut down if plasma rifle portion is fired too rapidly or for a prolonged period of time without a cooldown. The weight and size of the weapon make it considerably less than ideal for close range fighting. - X74 grenade launcher: can be equipped with various types of grenades. This includes, but is not limited to: plasma, fragmentation, EMP, impact, and "sticky" grenades. The weapon has a low rate of fire and limited range due to the arc the projectiles are fired in. - X20 handgun: similar to the 310, the X20 is a plasma pistol combined with a semi-automatic gauss handgun. Due to the plasma pistol function being noticeably weaker and having a slower firerate, the failsafes present in the 310 are absent. This allows the weapon to be used quite a bit in a gunfight, making up for the loss of power and rate of fire. - Ghost mines: these proximity mines can be attached to most surfaces and have a miniture cloaking device, but show up on thermal imaging and scanning equipment. Skills: Xellav is capable of piloting several types of small flight-capable vehicles currently in use by the Dominion, though he is not what one would call a good driver when it comes to ground vehicles (his hoverbike being the exception). His aim with handheld weapons is about average, though he is not so great with long-range weapons (i.e. sniper rifles). Xel always pushes the limits of his fighter and has a history of pulling off maneuvers that most wouldn't try, and has surprisingly managed not to lose his pilot's liscense to disciplanary action. Personality: To other pilots, Xel is known for being one of the most vicious fighter pilots. He'd be highly decorated for his achievements in battle if it weren't for the fact that he almost always ignores orders to not pursue targets. However, when he's not behind the controls of his fighter, his seldom social interactions involve wild partying and being a living testament to the strength of the marrelkian liver. Ship(s): - Morning Star (was assigned to; did not pilot/command): Dominion battle cruiser/carrier hybrid. Employs the use of wormhole generation technology, allowing the vessel to cover great distances in moments. This allows the vessel to cover long distances in a shorter amount of time than warp travel. Since wormhole generation technology has not been perfected, it is more practical to use light speed for shorter distances. - APF-09 Raven: The Dominion's newest all-purpose fighter. Weapon pods can quickly be changed out, enabling it to be changed into a bomber, fighter, attacker, or interceptor in a short amount of time. To cut down on the size and weight of the vehicle, inside space is limited to allow room for little more than the pilot and storage of weapons. Not ideal for the claustrophobic. The vehicle's wormhole generator is only able to work over "short" distances and must be recharged at an energy pylon. The Raven does not have a warp drive. Note: Xel's Raven is not equipped for "air-to-surface" combat, leaving him at a bit of a disadvantage (See history section for details) - Typhoon TZ3-M: Popular racing hoverbike modified for use by the Dominion's military and police forces. Known for its excellent handling, tight turn radius, and remarkable acceleration. Performance is best when used on any smooth surface, including water. Also has retractable wheels to allow travel over rough terrain, however, this severly widens the turning radius and descreases the acceleration. - RP-35 Recharging Pylon: Large crystalline sphere inside a pair of energy transfer rings which intersect perpendicular to each other at opposite ends of the sphere. Recharges wormhole generators, vehicle power cells, and energy based weapon pods. Designed to recharge smaller vessels, such as fighters. Can charge up to four vessels simultaneously. Once the pylon has been drained of its energy, it can be recharged using solar or electrical energy. Armored accessories: He wears a Marrelkian survival/combat suit, outfitted with gravity displacement boots. His helmet's visor is equipped with thermal, ultraviolet, and electromagnetic imaging systems. Due to flaws in the design, however, his visor can be temporarily disabled if an eletrical charge is applied to the helmet. Brief history: (Coming soon) ***** Full name: Dilarsk Qui'rae Status: Enforcer (Dominion's police force; bounty hunter) Race: Uthlium Caste: Master Gender: Asexual Home planet: Ulrigas; race later relocated to Parimas Age: 20 Height: 6' in homonid form (usually) Weight: 570 lbs. Skin color: silver Eye Color: N/A Hair color: N/A Weapons used: - Physiology: being uthlium, which is a living element similar in atomic structure to mercury, Dilarsk is made of metal. He is capable of forming blades and other single part weapons from himself, being able to shift between a solid and a liquid state almost at will. - Drones: Dilarsk can control just about any lower form of uthlium, and most commonly he uses drones. Each drone is bred to be capable of certain things, leading to a wide variety of drones. Because of the liquid properties of uthlium, Dilarsk is able to merge his drones with his body for easy transporting and then later release them for a task. Mostly, he uses snares, controllers, and observers, but he does have more than these. Skills: He is able to turn himself into a liquid form, allowing him to seep through porous material and doors that are not completely sealed. Dilarsk does not need to breathe to survive, so he can survive in any atmosphere that cannot erode metal and does not exceed temperatures above 1400 F (melting/boiling point) or fall below -250 F (freezing point). However, being made of metal, he, like all uthlium, has a weakness to magnetic fields. If any uthlium is magnetized, it will stiffen and become immobilized until it is out of the magnetic field. He is also unable to go near metal detectors. Extremes of heat and cold can be fatal. Personality: (Coming soon) Ship(s): - Typhoon TZ3-M - APF-07 Gryphon: All-purpose fighter designed by the Dominion, later replaced by the APF-08 Specter, which was also later replaced by the APF-09 Raven. Though a little outdated, the Gryphon is still a respected fighter and is popular by military flight instructors thoughout the Dominion. This fighter is compatable with the weapon pods used by the Specter and Raven. In comparison to the later fighters, the Gryphon is slower than both the Specter and the Raven, but it has better agility than the Specter. Note: the engines on Dilarsk's fighter have been modified to make them compatable with both the Dominion's pylons and the Federation's "equivalent" to eliminate the need to carry around a pylon. Armored accessories: Until the Dominion develops something that deflects magnetism without hindering him in anyway, he won't use armor. Brief history: (Coming soon) ***** Full name: Renael Tervim Status: SFO, Shadow unit (rookie) Species: Marrelkian Race: Gaulaivic Gender: Female Home planet: New Marrelkia Age: 22 (Earth years) Height: 6' 11" Weight: 218 lbs. Skin color: white Eye Color: violet Hair color: black Weapons used: - X320 sniper rifle: Guass/plasma combination rifle. Although it has a slower rate of fire than the 310, it makes up for it in fire power and accuracy. Uses .50 caliber rounds made from the hardest usable alloy. Scope is capable of zooming in on a target up to two miles away and can be used with the suit's imaging systems to aid in accuracy. - X20 handgun - Ghost mines - X15 sparkgun: Handgun that fires bolts of electricity. Voltage can be adjusted; ranges from a mild shock to fatal discharge. Use while wet is not advised. Skills: In terms of combat skill, Renael is one of the best soldiers in the Dominion, surpassed only by three units: her own, the Phantoms, and the disbanded Hellhounds. She is a highly skilled sharpshooter and is well-trained in various martial arts present in the Dominion. Unfortunately, she can't speak any English, so she must rely on either a computer or someone who speaks both Marrelkian and English to translate. Because she lacks the training, Renael's piloting skills are limited to driving common ground vehicles (I.E. cars, trucks, hoverbikes, and motorcycles). Personality: Renael is quite often called names like Ice Queen, Queen B*tch, and just plain b*itch when she's not present. Almost rightly so, considering her habit of putting people in the infirmary for saying such things to her face, or for the well-known rumor about something referred to as the "Knee Incident," which involved a catcall and playful grope followed by a very sudden and very violent placing of a knee between a pair of legs. However, she's not quite what she seems: she appears that way because she's too shy to be friendly yet determined not to allow someone to hurt her. Because she's managed to drive everyone away from her, she now finds herself completely alone and suffering from depression. Ship(s): - Winged Victory: (assigned to; does not pilot) Sister ship of the Morning Star; virtually identical to the Morning Star. Armored accessories: She wears a suit similar to what Xellav wears, slightly modified to fit the feminine form. In exchange for the gravity boots, her suit contains gravity displacement module, allowing her to walk or run on vertical surfaces and upside-down. Unit is calibrated for the combined weight of herself, her suit, and her weapons, so it is not possible to carry anything. In addition to the suit's color-changing capabilities, it also has optical stealh technology, aiding in camouflage by bending light around her. However, she will still appear on special imaging systems (I.E. thermal, electromagnetic, and sonic detection). Brief history: (Coming soon) |

After a couple months, I FINALLY updated on my characters. All I need now are the histories and the personality for the uthlium character, then I'll be good to go. Well, I'd still be short of inspiration and an RP that feels right for introducing one or more of them, but oh well. |

Ever noticed how on many forums that have an RP section, many people create a character with the same name (real or screenname) as them? Well, I decided to parody that, but instead of a character that's all badass and such... I decided I'd be even crazier and make myself into a character for RP purposes. Nothing special or exaggerated, just an average dude. (A couple of you might have seen this elsewhere, but I think that I could have more possible applications for him/myself here) Full name: Wes (sorry, but I'm not giving out my real last name) Alias(es): Alkarii, 13, Alk Status: civilian Species: Human Race: Caucasian Gender: male Home planet: Earth Age: 19 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 160 lbs. Skin color: white Eye Color: blue Hair color: dirty blonde Weapons used: None Skills: He doesn't seem to have any particularly useful skills, though he does retain information well, and will sometimes give out useful advice or philosphies. When he sees someone trying to fix a problem, he can point out a simple solution, but if he is in the same situation, he could easily overlook an easy solution and keep going about things the hard way. Also, he doesn't know how to drive, so don't put him behind the wheel unless you've got a death wish. Personality: He has to be tricked into talking about himself because he doesn't pay much attention to his own personality. Sometimes he's really shy, and other times he's the most social person in the room. He likes to fiddle with gadgets and pilfer through apparently useless junk, and is comparable to a pack rat. If something doesn't have a use, he'll either find a use for it or keep it until a use shows up. Sometimes he is easily frustrated over nothing while something big won't really phase him. Wes greatly dislikes the news because it makes him lose all faith in people. Aside from the news, he hates mustard, any form of discrimination, his ulcer, carpet fresh, and being in a crowded room. Wes has a bit of a soft side, which is the side of him he prefers, though sometimes he lacks the courage to express himself. He also has trouble speaking his mind, regardless of what it is he wants to say, though sometimes his mind will wander and he'll start bringing up the strangest topics. Ship(s): N/A Armored accessories: N/A Brief history: Wes's past is pretty much typical of anyone who was born in the last twentieth century in the United States. He always seemed to dislike the idea of doing something because other people did it or wanted him to do it, so he usually just did whatever, but he never actually gave a conscious effort to being unique. Wes also disliked people just asuming things about him, so whenever they thought he was cool or smart, he'd go and do something crazy and stupid. Whenever someone got surprised when he revealed something about himself that he's talked about quite often somewhere near them or even in a conversation with them, he'd get rather irate when they made a big deal about it. He didn't really strive to do anything major in high school because he only wanted to be average and didn't like the idea of getting attention from everyone, and when people he never saw before greeted him by name, he could only give them a confused look reminiscent of a deer looking into the headlights of an oncoming car. (Everything after this point is fiction.) Then, one day, he suddenly found himself somewhere he should not have been with no memory of how he got there, though it was apparent that both getting there and getting home were supposed to be impossible tasks, though somehow, something got messed up. The only explanation he had for being there was some sort of dimensional anomaly, and once he accepted that he wasn't delusional or hallucinating, he began to accept the fact that he was effectively stuck in what he only thought was a fictional universe. |
