Full name: Kisala Emane Trade: Pilot/Engineer/Black Market Contact/Smuggler Race: Kronitian Age: 128.1 cycles (21 years) Height: 5’5 Weight: 110lbs Skin color: Light tan, Caucasian Eye Color: Milky White Hair color: White Weapons used
As the title says Kisala has three varients of the bolter that she can choose from. However the *latter two are heavy combat models made for war and the ammo displacement of both requires she leave as much weight behind as possible. That means unless she is carrying only the boltgun she has to ditch any other heavy weaponry she might have on her person at the time.
Skills: A good leader, businesswoman and communicator though she rarely gets a chance to use those skills, an exceptional engineer who crafted everything on her ship out of wasted parts as well as Babels “body”, a self-trained heavy weapons specialist with good (if not perfect) aim, Personality: For being categorized as a “Bad” person by most peoples moral standards Kisala really isn’t anything of the sort. The activities she’s part of tend to get a bad wrap in the news and by legal standards but really, though I am sure it attracts the sort, most of the contacts and business she does is done so in a very professional manner. There is rarely any backstabbing going on, nobody threatening the other, no holding out so in short it is exactly like any other business. Why does Kisala do it? Especially when she could have done anything with her life after getting off Kronus? Mostly because it pays well and gets her access to rare items that she as an engineer can put to good use. Other than that she is a normal girl and on a few personal notes she is fond of the moon and stars and though she does not base her life on them has been known to read the zodiac predictions and wears a ring of her birthstone the amethyst color. Her favorite animal is the Gawa bird, a fluffy arctic cousin to the near extinct Putu bird that is relatively common in the denser forest of Kronus (though to her great despair they are probably all dead now). Her favorite food has become spicy ramen since exploring about and like most young girls she would love to find Mr. Right…though that’s doubtful to ever happen. Beyond those likes and dislikes she is calm, collected and usually tactical though she gets angry with Babel at times, she does not seem particularly hurt by her planets demise and is known for being very mature during business. Accessories: A pack of tools that holds just about everything an engineer could ever need in a nice little holder, a good bit of money for any sort of necessary transaction, several fake I.D’s to get her into all sorts of places she shouldn’t have access to, several communication headbands that can be set to a broad range of frequencies Character history: Really there’s nothing in Kisalas life worth recounting before the civil war since she was just another civilian. It is probably worth mentioning she was a barrista at a local “coffee” (lets just say it was the equivalent and not get into the details…you don’t want to know) …yes I said it, a future super engineer and black market runner used to serve drinks. During the plague outbreak Kisala was one of the few people who did not fall back to some sealed and hidden bunker like much of the populace and as war broke out this might very well have been what saved her. When the bombs started dropping from orbit she had been in one of Kronus many cityscapes but thankfully these were dropping randomly. However in the old days such bunkers would have been the safest place but in the new days of sensors these were the first places hit by deep running bombs killing large numbers of the population. Pure luck got her through the following carpet-bombing and she just happened to be on the other side of town when half was flash boiled by orbital lasers. After a while such orbital strikes lowered and the lands were instead a war ground of infantry forces pushing each side back and forth, over and over. As the sides became blurred nobody was on anybody else’s side anymore and Kisala not only learned to deal with fear but also how to fight for her own at this time. However after bombing resumed a week later all that went out the door and after a few more crashes as the last orbital ships were taken out it was all over. Kisala only then stopped to consider that constant running and luck had helped her live through that event, of course what it made of her wasn’t that different from what she had been in the first place…in shape and capable with a weapon after having to get in firefights with several soldiers along the way sure but she had never been attached to anyone on the planet emotionally. Of course on the flip side after you’ve seen one decimated city and killed off one group of stalkers that were going to do god knows what to you, you’ve had just about your fill of the apocalyptic wasteland scenery no matter what you might think and like most others she started looking for refuge or someway off the planet. She might have been a barrista but she was also a student engineer and a very good one too, much of the waste was salvageable and within a month she had a working skiff at her disposal. What followed was a constant forage for new materials and food as well as practicing with weapons, engineering and keeping herself in shape. Many might have become stagnant and eventually died off but it did the exact opposite to Kisala and her crowning moment finally came when investigating a ruined skyscraper only to find the crash site of the battle barge Cryst. With a little investigation she found plenty of space worthy materials including armor, weapons and even an engine. However the most important was her locating Babel in the ships bridge and he, wanting to get out just as much as her after his months of silence and loneliness, helped her piece together everything she would need to make the ship work. After it was completed they said goodbye to Kronus and with barely a second thought were gone, shortly before entering warp they found that the other half of Kronus had almost been completely blown off and then they were gone. Using the star charts they still had as they had, had dealings with the Federation even if they never let them on planet Babel was able to guide them into federation space. They eventually found themselves on one of the rim worlds where through some wheeling and dealing with the local black market they were able to get their ship legal rights within Federation space in return for performing a running mission. After receiving the considerable sum for that mission and with nowhere else to turn Kisala decided to stick with the black market, not feeling any real love for giant military powers after her experience with them. |

Full name: Babel Trade: Shipboard AI/Robot Guardian Race: AI Age: 24.4 Cycles (4 years) Height: Hologram: Varies Armor: 10’3 Weight: Hologram: N/A Armor: 2 Tons Skin color: Hologram: Caucasian Armor: Silver Eye Color: Hologram: Milky White Armor: (Really three sensors above each other) Glowing Red dots Hair color: Hologram: Blond Armor: N/A Weapons used: When hooked up with the Conglomerate his weapons ARE the ships weapons, however when in his armor he serves as a Guardian and though he has a relatively low number of fancy named weapons for a battle armor what he does have are exceedingly effective.
Skills: Piloting, running an excessive number of applications at once and when in armor blowing up small planets (over exaggeration thank you very much but you get the point, carpet bombing a large area with destruction equal to that of your typical heavy weapons platform) Personality: Arrogant, egotistic and a chauvinist, lets just be blunt because these describe Babel perfectly. All these kinks in his personality are the result of going years without a wipe of his personality core, this doesn’t make him completely unpredictable but his learning algorithms have allowed him to create a personality like any living being. A jerk sure but quite an accomplishment for an AI considering most federation AI are little more than glorified computers. Babel does what he wants though he does follow Kisala in her little adventures and it seems he’s convinced himself she’s not actually female or something along those lines since he would never follow another female. Ironically Babel speaks in a British accent, something he only picked up since coming in contact with planets of the Federation…who knows why he chose it but its funny to see a giant power armor talking in a curt British voice. Accessories: Stores several extra weapon in case the ones Kisala uses are lost or broken Character history: Babel was previously AD-7A, super cruiser AI and war calculator extraordinaire for the battle barge Cryst, one of the ten prototype V9.21 AI chips created for the Kronus war regiments that was about to be put into mainstream production. Of course he isn’t truly unique, many chips before him had the same level of learning and personality, he simply had more bugs written out of his coding and is capable of self-repair and coding new lines within himself (effectively allowing him to craft a completely human personality over time as well as placing entirely new programs in his mind, this means he actively grows and cannot be outperformed by newly crafted AI). The Cryst was one of the last barges to go down during the civil war owing to Babel’s excellent ship control ability even among his peer AI and to why he survived once the Cryst crashed since all the bombs that were dropped had done so before the crash he survived intact. There he sat for several weeks as he watched as the few surviving crew members slowly died off from injury or starvation and then finally it was just him and the silence of the derelict barge for months on end. In this time he developed much of his personality as it is now reading through the cruisers history files over and over, running himself through simulations and more or less developing the exact routine a human would who was extremely bored. Then one day by pure luck the Cryst which crash site had plowed deep under the remainder of several massive skyscrapers was found by a single scavenger. This was of course Kisala who found Babel shortly after and with his help and salvageable parts of the Cryst was finally able to turn her skiff into a space worthy vehicle as well as build him a proper armor body since all his viable options were destroyed in the crash. Ever since Babel has been riding with Kisala as a sort of informer, protector and learning a new thing or two along the way as well…he’s also proved a rather effective enforcer for the black market. |
