Since you are all here I assume most of you like playing games. What kind do you like? Know any good games others would like to play? Personally, I like all kinds of games. Card games, video games, board games, games games, you name it. RPGs are some of my favorite, though as I've mentioned in another thread I've never played a forum RPG like this. At the risk of sounding like the biggest nerd on the forums, I also run my own Dungeons and Dragons game (with extremely loose rules). If you like nation building/political games, you guys should check out Cybernations. It's like a more in-depth version of Nationstates and it's got an enormous political community. I used to play as part of the Orange Defense Network way way back in the day, but had to quit 'cause of real life issues. |

I tried Cybernations briefly but it seemed too structured for me. I prefer NS because it's more free form and you can pretty much make it into whatever you want it to be. I'm not really playing anything except NS right now. City of Heroes, a superhero MMO, was my main game for years. |

I lasted exactly three days on CN and a week on the NS2 Beta. NS FTW!

Yeah, I found CN to be boring and NS2 a pale copy. I used to play D&D, but there's no one around here who plays and it's impossible to get people to still play 3.5 it seems. I don't really play as much as I used to, though my favorite PC game is honestly Master of Orion II, despite how old it is. As for console games, I've been really into Mass Effect and Bioshock. Oh yes, and the best game of all time: Ocarina of Time. And Tetris. >.> |

I played so many games but I get bored of all of them after a while, so I spent many time installing and uninstalling. What I really like is Role Playing. I never played, but I would love to try pen-and-paper RPG. I also played a brasilian software called iRPG (Interactive Role Playing Game) which was basically an electronic way to play pen-and-paper RPG. I used to play some Soccer RPG there, and it was quite fun lol Artfulia, don't worry if people think of you as a nerd or not. Everyone has the right to have fun at his own way

Roleplaying is awesome! (Obviously.) I wrote up a campaign for D&D that never gets finished no matter how many groups we try to start it with... |

I kinda agree with that, but the big draw to CN for me was the game within the game. Nationstates had it better back in the day, though: I was once a member of a group of freedom fighters plotting against a government that forcibly took over The Pacific. Good times. All my D&D stuff is 3.5, though I've been thinking of trying out 4E. I've been listening to this podcast of players going through a 4E campaign and the more I hear it the more 4E's changes make sense. One game I have hard tearing myself away from is Minecraft. Every time I want to stop I come up with a new building project and spend another hour playing. |
