My proto language is Latin, wich evolved into french, my "ethnic minority" language is language that is based on germanic language, thankfully no one understands afrikaans So ek kan so veel kak praat en niemand sal my ooit verstaan nie, dis so lekker om 'n taal te kan praat wat so min mense kan praat sodra ek weet hoe om my Blackberry se podcasts te gebruik dan sal ek een post sodat almal kan hoor hoe mooi klink Afriikaans

Navis: Only spoken by diplomats and the Empress knows some to be able to speak with rulers of Alterra herself. Anu: The old language of Anu-Asiya. Mostly spoken by those who live in the capital. It has been spoken since tribal times. (Real world equivalent: Sumerian) Asi'iyya: The more modern language of Anu-Asiya. Mostly spoken by the working class and the lower noble families and clans. (Real world equivalent: North Arabic dialects) Ex.: Navis: That is a nice sports car. Anu: Asunun arda'adad welheli ur. Asi'iyya: Awa'un arded'he wahelim un'u. |

Navis: Spoken by the Upper class meaning Aristocrats, Senators, Emperors, and anyone else in government. La'aro: One of the oldest languages in Grayata, it is commonly spoken by commoners in the inlands and not the coast. (Modern Italian) Jola'aste: A common language heard in the borderlands of Grayata, normally used by merchants. (Modern Spanish) Grulo: The Nomarian people's language, those who are not a part of the Nomarian race normally does not learn this language and as such special translators are needed for travel in that region. I'm going to toss 'Pacata' into the mix... kinda mix some Greek, ancient Egyptian and then some polynesian for flavoring... spice with borrowed words from the couple of gaelic languages in the area... some Navis, Esprit and other influences and you should be getting a headache somewhere about now. |
