I'm new to NationStates and as a casual roleplayer your recruitment message appealed to me. How much control would I have over the creation of my nation's history? (within reason) The short version of my thoughts are of a New Zealand population predominately colonized by western Europeans, with Dutch and Gaelic comprising the majority, with good relations and interrelationships with the native Maori Polynesians. The egalitarian spirit is strong with these, and their gregarious nature also appeal to me. |

A lot, though it has to fit in with our own history. Check out the fact books to find potential colonizers for your country and PM them to see if they're interested, or start another "Who wants to be an imperialist" thread (I think we had one tucked away somewhere). Also, you should probably start your posts in the new comer section. |

Hey Mael - we're very free form here. You can pretty much make your country whatever you want it be. Just read through some of the history we have already and find a place where you fit in. The area called Hesperia is our version of Europe so some of the countries there would probably be candidates for where your people come from. If you find things confusing we have a mentor program to help out and also our new University of Alterra forum where you can ask questions to the community. Glad to have you with us! |
