Libera actually Skye, also I'd like to say that would kind of ruin the motif of Hesperia being like Europe |

If I remember correctly, Illimidius is in northern Liberia. But that would be a very interesting twist, and something that Emerald could pull off feasibly imo |

We're also trying to make our own history, rather than copy it, and Zephyria is already stronger than the Americas when the Europeans came. |

Of course we were stronger. We weren't all indians. |

The Native Americans were not unified like the Zephyrians are, but it is possible they could have been betrayed by Zephyrians to Hesperia to allow quicker colonization. |

So maybe we set the coming of Planet IX to come from the east, a cultural fear of the east would be a way to stop movement over to the east. I mean it kind of ruins the whole idea of the Hesperian powers becoming colonizers if the Zephyrians are already reaching across the ocean towards Hesperia and Libera by the time the Hesperians are going across |

Britain still managed to colonize India and occupy it for several years. I don't see how it's "ruined". |

Colonization efforts can certainly go both ways... but I suspect travel in any particular era would be one way or the other. Two way traffic of that sort is a sure recipe for conflict. While said conflict ain't a 'bad thing' (tm), it also isn't colonization. |
