I've noticed a lot of people who play Dungeons and Dragons joining the forums, several saying that they have trouble finding people to play. Well I've been listening to a podcast of people playing a campaign and one of the players was using skype to talk with the other players who have a webcam that can see the board. Is that something any of you guys wanna try? |

Sounds intriguing... How are we going to officiate dice rolls? And is the DM/the one with the board going to be the one with the camera? |

Oh yes... I only have 3.5 and earlier and it's not likely I'll play 4e. |

Yeah, I only really know 3.5 myself. It would be best if the DM had the webcam, since they'd be the one setting up and officiating the game. I've got a webcam built into my laptop and am willing to run the game, but I'm a noob DM and not familiar with a lot of the intricate rules. As far as dice checks are concerned we may have to rely on the honor system. You guys wouldn't douchey enough to flub your rolls, right? |

I have 4e books and some DMing experience, but no webcam. I also have a fairly active group that I play with. |

I'm a rules lawyer (mainly from being DM). I know how to blind you with science! Honor system works for me. I've just known a few players in the room messing with dice rolls... |

I did some searching and apparently there are virtual tabletop programs you can use to simulate a game board and share with people over the internet. This is the best example I've found. |
